Send us a message that we can respond to at the end of every episode!

This week, we dive deep into Marvel Studios' dramatic Avengers: Doomsday cast reveal that sent shockwaves through the fandom. The star-studded announcement confirms Robert Downey Jr.'s return to the MCU as Doctor Doom – alongside familiar faces like Chris Hemsworth's Thor and surprising additions including the original X-Men cast members.

We dissect who made the cut and, perhaps more tellingly, who didn't. The absence of key players like Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Captain Marvel raises fascinating questions about Marvel's strategic narrative plans spanning both Doomsday and Secret Wars. Are these omissions deliberate misdirection, or are some heroes being saved for an even bigger multiverse spectacle?

The revelation that Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and other original X-Men actors are joining prompts our bold theory: these characters may represent the animated X-Men '97 versions in live-action form, offering fans the definitive versions of these beloved heroes they've always wanted to see. We explore how the Russo brothers might handle this massive ensemble while balancing multiple superhero teams including the Avengers, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and X-Men.

Before our Avengers deep-dive, we honor the legacy of Val Kilmer following his passing at 65, celebrating his iconic performances in Heat, Tombstone, and Batman Forever. We also cover exciting updates from CinemaCon, including Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning, Tron: Ares, Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling, and The Karate Kid's promising rebirth. Plus, we analyze the Superman legacy trailer, dive into Spider-Man: Brand New Day casting news, and share our predictions for how these various storylines might converge in Marvel's ambitious multiverse saga.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Podcast.
Go tell your friends.
It's the Infinite Podcast.
My God, it never ends.
It's the Infinite Podcast withRob and Kork the Cube.
Hello everybody, and welcomeback to another episode of the
Project Infinite Podcast, thepodcast covering the infinite

(00:24):
and ever-expanding multiverse offandom for movies, comics, tv
shows, video games.
We got you covered.
I'm rob.
I'm here, as always with courtand court, you got a stacked,
stacked episode.
Yes, we do the avengers theavengers somebody cue the theme,
they're back yeah, we can't, orwe will get copyright
copyrighted all your favoritesare back.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Half of your favorites are back.
Some of your favorites are back.
A few of your favorites areback.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Yeah, so, after a seven-hour live stream of chairs
, marvel unveiled the cast ofSome of the cast.
The core cast, the core cast, the core cast.
Is it the core cast?
Who knows?
It's some of the cast.
It's a few of the fellas.
It's some of the some of thecast.
It's a few of the dudes.
Um, so we'll talk about that.

(01:11):
Um, we'll talk about what thatmeans.
Um, you know, we'll kind oflaminate, laminate, no, meditate
on some of some.
What?

Speaker 1 (01:21):
year.
Is it some?
We're gonna laminate the.
We going to laminate this.
I've laminated the cast listand he posted it on the wall at
Marvel Studios.
It was like somebody making asports team.
He posted it at the school.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
So we're going to talk about the cast and the
characters and what we think, maybe what they'll be doing, and
then we'll uh, we'll see if wecan.
We got a gimmick.
We got a gimmick coming aboutthe Avengers, um.
So before we get to all that, before we talk about Avengers,
we do have a ton of news, especially coming out of
CinemaCon, and we do have someunfortunate news as well, um,

(01:58):
which we're going to start with, which is the passing of Val
Kilmer.
Um passed away at the age of 65due to complications from
pneumonia, but obviously hasbeen dealing with a battle with
throat cancer for many, manyyears and he passed away and
that really sucks.
Val Kilmer is something of anicon of 80s movies, early 90s,

(02:24):
and thankfully, I think we'll bekind of not remembered for.
But I mean just thinking aboutthat scene that he shared with
Tom Cruise in Top Gun, maverick, that Tom Cruise really really
fought for to have together, andI think that you know that
scene is all the more powerful, you know, in the wake of his
passing.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah, I mean you want to talk about the movie star.
Val Kilmer is one of the moviestars.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
How he owned part of the 80s and 90s for himself and
how prominent and important.
You want to talk the integralpieces.
You look at sports and likefigures being so integral to the
sport Val Kilmer's integral tofilm oh yeah.
Into what the movie starmentality was film into what the
movie star mentality was.
I mean he got his superherorole.
I mean he's in one of, if notone of the greatest, if not the
greatest, action movie with heat.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
I mean, you know, two of the greatest.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Westerns of all time.
I mean he just Top Gun, one ofthe best 80s movies of all time.
Like he was, just he.
Like you know how we look atlike guys like Glenn Powell and
Austin, or Glenn Powell andAustin, or Glenn Powell and
Austin, austin Butler nowadays,I mean that was Val Kilmer.
Like that was Val Kilmer, wasthat Val Kilmer?
Was, you know, one of theHollywood it guys and just it.

(03:33):
Just it's horrible to think of.
You know how much he wassuffering, but, like you said,
for him to even do Top Gun 2 andstill let the legacy go, and
how much, how many peoplerespected him.
And you know the career that hebuilt for himself as well too.
Like val kilmer, when I was akid was one of my favorite
actors.
I remember saying val kilmerwas one of my favorite actors
and just you know watching himway too young in tombstone,

(03:56):
watching him in the saint thatwas like, funnily enough, one of
the first time.
And I remember I had a littleipod nano and and I had Batman
Forever saved on that and Iwatched that movie over and over
and over again.
So Val Kilmer's Batman voice isjust ingrained in my brain.
So it's somebody that I grew upwith and just to see him pass
the way that he did it sucks, but I mean just what a career

(04:17):
that he left behind him.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Yeah, a real, you know a bonafide movie star.
You know a bonafide movie star.
I think it was Roger Ebert thatonce said that he was.
If there was an award forunsung leading men, Val Kilmer
would win that award, because hedid kind of come in this era of
the early 90s where there wereso many of these guys and he

(04:40):
kind of got kind of he was underthe radar a little bit as far
as being that kind of likebonafide movie star.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, to be the guy that leads your movie and
because he often found himselflike adjacent to, like the you
know the other star in the movie.
Obviously he got Batman, butlike you look at Tombstone, you
look at Heat, but like those, you take him out of those movies
.
Those movies are infinitelydifferent, like the timeline's
different, without Val kilmerbeing in those movies, and
that's something to be said Imean they literally right, they

(05:08):
literally taught navy seals howto reload guns just from the
scene in heat, like val kilmer'sone of the coolest guys that's
ever lived in hollywood I meaneven batman.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
He his batman was, was the michael keaton batman
yeah you know he he assumed thatrole in the wake of Michael
Keaton leaving the franchiseRight.
So, like even his Batman wasn'this own Batman you know what I
mean, right.
He was kind of written, you know, as the Michael Keaton Batman
which you know kind of isemblematic of kind of like his
career in a way, where, like hewas a leading man but he was

(05:37):
never recognized properly forbeing that leading man, despite
being in so many successfulfilms and and part of those film
successes was because of himyou know I I think that that you
know will should ultimately behis legacy.
Um and again, just that scenethat he has.
He has, you know, arguably likethe most powerful line of

(05:57):
dialogue in top gun maverick, you know, you know when he pipes
up, you know legitimatelybattling throat cancer.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yes, yep.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
You know the kid needs the Navy needs Maverick,
the kid needs Maverick.
You know that's why I chose you.
That was just.
It's an incredible bit ofbusiness between him and Tom
Cruise and you know I'm reallygrateful that.
You know we've got to witnesshis career and, you know,
obviously just ended far, fartoo soon.

(06:26):
Um, so yeah, man, just aboutkilmer, just just a strike
across the bow, um, buttransitioning away from that and
into tom cruise, as we talkabout the mission impossible
final reckoning trailer, um,this movie is on the on the
horizon.
It's about six to seven weeksaway before we get this movie,

(06:48):
the sequels of MissionImpossible, dead Reckoning and
the final, final film in the TomCruise Mission Impossible
movies.
For now, glenn Powell's gonnatake it from him.
We'll see what happens, butthis trailer's got everything.
Every bit you can think, meanthis trailer's got everything.
Every, every, every bit you can, every bit you can think of.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
It's trailers got it, man I mean you want to talk
about gotta try and get it shutdown.
Yeah, you look at thefranchises across the board that
have been running right, likethis is one of the strongest
franchises that's ever crossedcinema, like the mission
impossible franchise it's.
It's stronger, it's got themovie star to lead it and even

(07:29):
into the modern age where theidea of the movie star it's
coming back and 100 is comingout, but it survived the movie
star era going away as well too.
I just mean the practicalitythat goes into this.
You want to talk about me.
You know talking heat a secondago is one of the greatest
action movies.
This mission impossiblefranchise is possibly the
greatest action franchise we'veever gotten.
You want to talk about thepracticality of the effects, the

(07:51):
, the stunts they're pulling offin these movies.
And I I told you before wehopped on when it flipped to
ghost protocol, like thetrajectory of this franchise
just skyrocketed to thepossibility.
And it's the dedication fromtom, like it's just tom and
christopher mcquarrie sayinglike why?
It's like the idea, like whycan't we, why can't we do these
stunts, why can't we dopractical sets, why can't we go

(08:12):
on location?
Like why do we need?
We don't need to be.
You know, obviously there's alot of cg things they need to do
in this movie.
But you know, and then you justopen the trailer for this movie
and it's just him dangling offa plane and him actually
dangling off the plane, likewho's doing it?
Like him, it's.
It's insane.
Yeah, it makes me believe incinema yeah, it's, it's wild.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
Just I mean, you know , we don't need to, we don't
need to litigate the career oftom cruise.
Um, I think it kind of juststands on its own of just his
dedication and his output.
Like you know, you can saywhatever you want about him
personally and like you knowwhat you might think of him
personally, but as far as, like, being an actor like I, we're

(08:51):
truly never going to seeanything like this ever again,
no, I mean it's, it's just in aborderline, psychotic dedication
to one's craft, um, that youjust kind of have to admire and
appreciate.
And you know, I have no doubtthat he's putting, literally
putting his all into this, intothis final mission impossible
movie.
Um, it's going to be, it'sgoing to be interesting that you

(09:14):
know, this is like a part one, part two type deal.
So, um, you know, maybe if wehave some time, you know, in the
next six to seven weeks, we canrevisit Dead Reckoning and view
it through a little bitdifferent lens from when we
reviewed it, because we didn'tknow that this was.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Did we know, when Dead Reckoning Part 1 and 2,
that this would be it right?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, I think we did, but I just definitely have to
go back to that because there'sso of the of the first one that
I just have, just completely, like I told you before, I was
like, oh shoot, hayley Atwellwas like in this first movie, I
think I totally, and she waslike a major part of it and I'm
like, oh yeah, she was like apretty big deal in that first
movie.
So, um, yeah, I mean, everything looks incredible.

(09:59):
Obviously, the stunts are goingto be incredible and I'm just
really really looking forward toit Because I think we talked
about it at the time when DeadReckoning came out that, like
the trajectory of the MissionImpossible movies is really
interesting, where, like it felta little bit like after Mission
Impossible 3.
You're like, is this, are wedone here?
Is this it?

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yeah, and it very well could have been.
And the swing from the studioto make Ghost protocol as well
too.
Yeah, like, and how many yearsin between?

Speaker 2 (10:26):
it was like five years because yeah, it was, it
was a decent time jump right, um, and yeah, I mean it's.
It's just really interestingthat, um, that's what ended up
happening.
Is you know if, yeah, two, yeah, 2006 mission possible 3 came
out?
Ghost Protocol comes out in2011.
And just kind of reinvigoratesthe franchise in a way that so

(10:50):
many franchises fail to do.
It's kind of like all right,we've hit our wall and we're
kind of done here, let's go outon a not a low note, but we'll
go out with our heads held high.
But this crew clearly feltdifferently, right?
Um?
And now they it brought on awhole nother life of its own,
from ghost protocol to falloutto rogue nation, um, and so on

(11:14):
and so forth.
So, um, really looking forwardto this movie coming out I mean
the additions to this cast aswell too.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
I mean, yeah, um tremel tillman, who's getting
just absolute praise forSeverance, who's, I think, in
the next few years, is going tobe somebody that's going to be
an absolute leading man.
Hannah Waddingham I didn't evenknow she was in this as well,
too.
That makes me unbelievablyhappy.
And Katie O'Brien as well too.
Somebody that worked with GlennPowell and Twisters I forget

(11:41):
what movie she made with A24,the one with Kristen Stewart as
well too, but you know anotherup and coming actor that's been
great in everything that she'sbeen in.
So this cast is just adding theright pieces, but overall, just
this is this is the cinema theytalk about.
You know what I mean?
Like, yeah, just going into atheater and you know, obviously
at CinemaCon Tom was talkingabout the cinema experience and

(12:03):
said going to a cinema canactually change a life and
actually change lives.
So keep going to the cinema, and I'm 100% with him on that.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Yeah for sure.
Speaking of A24, we do have adirector for the Death Stranding
film adaptation.
It's going to be MichaelSarnoski, who directed and wrote
directed A Quiet Place, part 1.
He will be writing anddirecting the Death Stranding
movie alongside, obviously, thecreator of Death Stranding,
hideo Kojima, who you know.

(12:33):
I have a lot of reverence forKojima because he has, you know,
for good or for ill in the eyesof many people has transcended
this bridge from gaming tomovies.
Is he cool?
He's great.
Obviously, for those of you whodon't know Hideo Kojima, he's
one of the most legendaryJapanese video game developers

(12:55):
of all time, developed andcreated Metal Gear Solid and
Death Stranding and DeathStranding, and he's kind of
served as this bridge fromgaming to cinema in a way that
you know.
We've had video game adaptationmovies before.
Obviously, minecraft right nowis dominating the news cycle.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
The last of us we're getting in a week.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yeah, which again, the last of us, you know.
Again I'll give Neil Druckmanna lot of credit too Like again
kind of bridging that gap.
Instead of being a straight upwacky adaptation of a video game
, they're like no, we're goingto take our stories and make a
film, and that's really whatKojima's aim has been for many,
many years now.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
It's an.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
A24 production that Kojima is a part of.
Obviously, his next game thathe's doing he's doing in
coordination with Jordan Peele,so he's rubbing shoulders with.
The Kojima Twitter movie reviewhas become somewhat of a staple
, very well regarded as kind ofan auteur of sorts from the

(14:07):
gaming industry now coming overto film.
So I'm really keen on how heand Michael Sarnofsky adapt
Death Stranding.
I don't think it was officiallyannounced, but I would imagine
Norman Reedus is just going todo it.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
right, I mean it would make all the sense in the
world.
I think that's a situation.
You maybe don't change some ofthe actors.
I think Kojima kind ofspearheaded this.
Lea Seydoux was in the secondone.
Right yeah, Maybe you justbring her back.
You don't really have to thinkmuch about the actors of this
movie.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I mean Kojima kind of spearheaded the whole let's get
mainstream actors into ourgames thing.
Let's get mainstream actorsinto our games.

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Yes, now you look at a game like the new Naughty Dog
game that's coming out, and thewhole cast are notable actors.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
That's the point.
So Kojima again was kind oflike a spearhead, of kind of
recognizing that you can domovie-style storytelling in
video games.
I know that Metal Gear Solidfilm I don't know what's going
on with that.
I know Oscar Isaac has beenattached to it for the longest
time.
Maybe that's going to be, youknow, reliant on how this Death

(15:17):
Stranding movie comes out, to belike all right, the Death
Stranding movie worked, let's go.
You know, maybe once MissionImpossible kind of phases out,
they can phase Metal gear solidin, like, so we're not kind of
treading similar territory, um,with the psyop stuff.
But no, I I'm super excited tosee what kojima's vision for for
this film could be.
Um, yeah, I'm really lookingforward to it.

(15:40):
Uh, cinema con, holy moly.
So much, so much stuff, starting with Tron Ares.
We got a trailer for Tron Aresand I don't want to say it, it
looks good, man, it does lookgood.
Obviously there's one kind ofjust it's a Jared Leto sized

(16:03):
hole yeah, and to bring JeffBridges back from 2010,.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
And I love, I want to believe that I'm the cult
leader of the Tron Legacy Truthfan club.
That movie was.
That movie meant the world tome when I was a kid.
For some odd reason, I justclung to that movie.
Cillian Murphy's in that movie, for some odd reason.
Um man, I I don't know if it's,I don't know if it's the

(16:29):
realism like the way thatthey're shooting this that makes
it like they have shot this on,like on location, like actually
made the bikes, like this ishow you use budget, like if
you're gonna use.
But obviously they have to do alot, a lot of cg work.
Same thing as missionimpossible, but this one has
more of an excuse to be straightCG and they just didn't take
that route, which I reallyappreciate.

(16:50):
I think that's going to lead.
I think this movie the biggestissue that's going to come with
this this movie's missing like abig name actor that everybody
loves at the forefront.
If this movie had like an actorthat everybody was crazy.
Imagine Austin Butler being themain character in this movie.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Well, this was.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
What's this movie?

Speaker 2 (17:09):
I mean if this movie was made 10, 15 years ago.
Jared Leto would have been that.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Right.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
But he's taking a turn.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
So again to my point why, like I said, obviously Evan
Peters is still in this movie,Greta Lee's in this movie, who's
really great as well too.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Cameron.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Monaghan's in this movie as well, which I'm really
looking forward to see.
But, man, you're missing.
Like I said, you're missing anAustin Butler-type character or
actor away from this movie.
Being like getting everybodyback into the Tron franchise,
which Disney can use as well tooback into the Tron franchise,
which Disney can use as well too.
Disney can use a win that's notMarvel or that's not, you know,

(17:48):
star Wars.
Like they can use a win likethis and like to put Jared Leto
at the forefront is justconfusing.
Like that's just Well, it'sdangerous.
It is dangerous.
You run the risk of this moviegetting review-bombed out of the
gate.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
And you don't know what you're going to get from
him.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
You could get Dallas Buyers Club, or you could get
Morbius.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
You know what I mean, right the guy, for good or ill,
has a range, and that range israrely a character range, it's a
quality range.
I don't think I've ever seenanything white like it, to be
honest with you, like the guycan put out an Oscar winning

(18:31):
performance or he can put outthe most baffling performance
you've ever seen in your life.
It's wild.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Yeah, so we'll see.
Yeah, I'm just confused on whyhe was so, and for a studio like
Disney to put him at theforefront too also is it's odd.
There's an oddity to it that Ijust it's unmistakable.
I can't stop thinking that ifyou just get a different actor
to be here, this movie just islike it potentially could just

(19:02):
be more loved and really pairwell with Tron Legacy.
Yeah, the traileron Legacy.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Yeah, the trailer looked cool.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Ew.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
So I don't know.
It's like anything else thathe's been in the last few years.
You're just like, I guess wejust kind of got to see.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah, and it was funny.
You hear Jeff Bridges' voiceand you're like oh.
And then you see Jared Leto andyou're like oh, oh no, oh no,
he's back.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yeah, I mean so we'll see A kind of sleeper hit at
Cinemagon, one that you kind ofput me on to Project.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Hail Mary, let me cook.
Yeah, go ahead.
Yes, sir.
So obviously the author of thatbook wrote the Martian as well
too.
And then the Martian went on tomake just under $700 million in
2015.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Andy Weir is the creator.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Right.
So he wrote the Martian In 2021, he writes this book called
Project Hail Mary.
Essentially, this scienceteacher gets his memory wiped
and sent on a mission toreignite the sun.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
The sun's starting to you know, erode no Name,
Sunspot Mona Mee erode Sunspot.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
No Name.
Sunspot, mona Mee, remember it.
Sunspot's a great movie.
Sunspot what's the Danny Boylemovie that had Cillian Murphy
and Chris Evans in it?
Why can't I remember that'sanother good movie.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Chris Evans Sunshine.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Sunshine, sunshine.
It's a great movie, isn't thatmovie?

Speaker 2 (20:23):
also about reigniting the sun.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Yes, yes, yep, cool, Yep I digress Project Hail Mary.
So again he's back.
Again it's a science teachermemory wiped, put on a ship to
go reignite the sun, essentiallyMeets this like ETS character
along the way and they just goon a like a space adventure
together.
Um, incredible, like from whatI've heard, an incredible story,

(20:47):
incredible book, like in themodern age too, which makes me
happy that, like there's greatbooks post certain years, so in
the 2020s, great books are stillcoming out.
You just need to know where tolook.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Um, and then you know , uh I, once the book was
written, mgm bought the filmrights as well too.
And then Ryan Gosling not onlyis starring in this movie which
is what an insane get he's alsoan executive producer on this
movie.
But it's about the team youalways hear Court talk about.
It's not about the movie, it'sabout the personnel.
So you add Ryan Gosling To myTron Aries point.

(21:19):
You get a great leading man tolead your movie.
You add Greg Frazier, a greatleading man to lead your movie.
Um, you add greg frazier, and Ialways say, if greg frazier
says I want to do a thing, thisthing's got some potential to be
great like this thing's gotsome great potential to it.
So, um, he chose to shoot thismovie.
That probably is going toconflict with him working with.
You know some other directorswhich brings me into the lord

(21:40):
and miller of this the thespider verse directors are
directing this movie as well too.
Um, 2026 release date, Ibelieve.
Um, what day.
I can't.
I know it's 2026, but I'm veryman, I'm very keen on this one.
I I truthfully think it's goingto be like one of those not
hidden gems.
Like it might be a movie that, like, really takes off march

(22:02):
20th, 2026, a year from now.
Yeah, so super looking forwardto that.
I'm really looking forward tothat first footage.
But yeah, the team on thismovie looks absolutely
incredible.
The fact that Greg Fraser saidyes to this says a lot.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Well, you know what's going to get.
I mean, the cool thing is,what's going to get people to
see this movie is.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
A Ryan Gosling and B you know, before the trailer
starts, they're going to sayfrom the writer of the Martian
and the directors of Spider-ManAcross the Spider-Verse and from
the cinematographer of Dune andthe creator, and people are
going to be like ooh, Yep.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
So I think this movie has a shot to do really really
well.
Yep, I'm keen to check out thenovel too.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Yeah, I'm going to read that book before the movie
comes out.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Yeah, maybe we'll do a book review one of these days.
Yeah, yeah, that would be fun.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Maybe we'll do Project Hail Mary, why not?
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:46):
For sure, because, speaking of books, we got some
Hunger Games news, yes, whichI'm really looking forward to
yes.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
So, the next.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Hunger Games movie will be adapted from the book
that just released a coupleweeks ago.
The latest Hunger Games prequelnovel, sunrise on the Reaping,
will be out, or is out, and themovie will be out next November.
Ballads and Songbirds andSnakes was really really good.
I really liked it.
I think Rachel Zegler wasincredible in that movie and
this for those of you who don'tknow Sunrise on the Reaping
takes place in the secondquarter quell, which is the

(23:24):
Hamish Abernathy quarter quell.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
A District 12 winning a quarter quell.
He's him, he's him.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Yeah, so this will settle around Hamish Abernathy.
We'll see some other charactersfrom you know, specifically
from Catching Fire in this movie.
This is a story that peoplehave been dying to have told
Suzanne Collins delivered.

(23:55):
Shout out to Suzanne Collins,by the way.
I just want to say she kind oflapped JK Rowling.
I was just about to say In termsof just as like as an author,
just as a human being, I thinkyou know, for so many years they
were like Hunger Games.
Harry Potter was kind of likeneck and neck as far as like

(24:16):
young adult.
But I feel like, especiallylooking at both these you know,
both these sagas with adult eyes, I feel like the Hunger Games
stuff has more to it and morestory to tell than the Harry
Potter stories ever had, which Inever thought I'd ever say.
But I mean, man, if you ever goback to those Hunger Games

(24:38):
books, they still hold upthrough an adult lens?
Yes, they do.
The movies really hold up.
The movies really, especiallyCatching Fire.
I'll die on this film.
Dog, that's one of the bestyoung adult science fiction
movies ever.
That movie really, really holdsup.
Like I said, ballads ofSongbirds and Snakes was really,

(24:58):
really good and I'm reallylooking forward to this too.
I was shocked at how quick theyannounced from the book being
released to know we're adaptingthis.
It kind of speaks to how theyfeel about this property still,
how Lionsgate still feels aboutit, and for good reason.
So I'm looking forward towhatever else both Suzanne

(25:22):
Collins and this world put out.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
John Wick.
I'm thinking I'm back, he'sback, he's back, john Wick.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
5 has been announced yeah, keanu Reeves is back.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Remember when the last one made a billion dollars.
Yeah, we're going to do a fifthone.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
John Wick.
John Wick, keanu Reeves iscoming back.
No, it's just.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
John Wick.
John Wick's back In real life.
He's back.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
And Chad Stahelski is back.
I'm assuming Ando Armis isgoing to work her way into this
movie as well, too Probably.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Yeah, I would think so.
Let me ask you two questions.
Question number one what areyou looking for out of this
movie?
What's the next naturalprogression for a character at
this point in this journey?
Just having seen the other fourmovies, I'm not going to count
the ballerina as well too.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
I mean it's a really interesting question because it
felt like John Wick 4 was kindof like the natural conclusion
of that right, where he kind ofgets out and John Wick 1 had him
out and then he got pulled backin.
So you really can't retreadthat ground, unless the plan is
that he is just going to totallyupend the system.

Speaker 1 (26:29):
Yeah, Maybe he goes on like a personal revenge tour
against like he, like he flipsinto, like a I need to almost
like an.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Ethan hunt type arc.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Like he goes, like he goes rogue against the agency.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Sure.
My second question I need twoactors added into this franchise
.
That would just ignite thisthing.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
That's a really good question.
I'm thinking I kind of feellike man, they've gotten so many
great action-oriented actors,man, I don't even know.
I would love to see, in someshape or or form, mahershala Ali
take a swing that's good.
That's good if he's not going todo Blade, he might as well do

(27:13):
this.
That's good.
So I think that would bedefinitely one of my.
I would love to see MahershalaAli dip into this world.
As for a second one, I managain, there's so many because
they're like they.
They've are like, to theircredit, they've already gotten
so many um actors that I wouldlove to see in these, like

(27:34):
they've gotten, you know, donnieyen.
They've gotten.
Uh, hiroki sanada was in one ofthese um, so I don't even I
don't even know who else I wouldcast like action wise from in
one of these.
So I don't even know who else Iwould cast action-wise in one
of these.
Did you have a name?

Speaker 1 (27:49):
I would love to see Anya Taylor-Joy in this universe
.
I think she fits the bill.
I would also love to see SimuLiu in here.
Oh, yeah, and let him keepcooking and let him keep getting
his just due for just not beingcast in anything for a little
bit.
There, After Shang-Chi andBarbie, they just said you know
what?

(28:09):
We're good.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
It's just absurd.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
I think he's great.
I think he would fit into thatuniverse incredibly well.
You don't have to teach him howto fight.
You don't have to teach him howto fight.
And Anya Taylor-Joy fits theespionage half, Simu Liu fits
the hand-to-hand half and thecomedy half too.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
No, simu Liu's a great one.
I really like that.
Yeah, I mean, I'm just lookingforward.
I'm looking forward to theballerina, first and foremost.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
They're also doing an animated prequel series that I
think Keanu Reeves is lendingthe voice.
Work to Keanu Reeves is alwaysdown to do a voice.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Oh yeah, Keanu Reeves is always down to do a voice.
Oh yeah, so that's reallyreally cool.
I'm really really excited forthat.
Cinemacon had a lot of stuffthat I was excited for now.
You've seen me three man.
Look the first one.
I love the first one as likecontrived as those plot elements
are and like the twists andeverything, I think that movie

(29:04):
is really really fun.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
I think the movie's really really well acted yes, um
, and everybody's bought in,because you have.
You have this weird smorgasbordof actors that it could have
went very wrong but it is a veryeclectic cast but you.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
But it went absolutely right yeah, I I think
those movies have jesseeisenberg at kind of like his
best as far as like kind of thecharacter actor he was at the
time, like this dick, dickishtype figure.
I think Woody Harrelson'sreally really good in this.
They got Morgan Freeman andMichael Caine in these movies.

(29:39):
I know, bring them both backcowards.
I liked Mark Ruffalo as the youknow cowards.
I liked Mark Ruffalo as theplot twist.
Spoiler alert for the firstnight you see Mark Ruffalo as
the architect of the entireoperation, which again the plot
elements and plot contrivancesof those movies are a little
goofy.
I think the fun thing aboutthis third one is Isla Fisher is

(30:02):
coming back.
She was not in the second one.
And she's coming back for this.
She was kind of likepseudo-replaced by Lizzie Kaplan
in the second one and now she'scoming back Right.
And then the third one she'sback.
I like the second one becauseDaniel Radcliffe was in it and

(30:25):
he's just absurd.
I love the arc.
He's enigmatic in that movieRadcliffe is on man.
He just takes on thesebombastic, insane roles.
Also kind of cool that they gothim to play like an evil
magician.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
I'm calling it right now in the next 10 years.
This is my hot.
I don't even know if it's asuper hot.
Take just the way thathollywood set up studios like
824, set up daniel crowdradcliffe will have an oscar in
his lifetime oh, yeah, oh, Icould see that for sure, I think
, yeah, I think he's puttingtogether quite a resume.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Um, under the, under the, under the hood there.
Um reuben fleischer is comingback for this third movie, um,
and it's coming out this year,it's coming out this november.
So I'm looking forward toseeing seeing more of the, the
now it's it's, uh, almost 10years since the second one, um,

(31:18):
so I'm really looking forward tothat.
What else we got here?
Karate kidate.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
Kid.
All right, listen, why doesthis movie look so good?
Look, man, I'm in, I'mabsolutely in.
I'm emotional watching thistrailer.
This movie's got heart.
It's got definitive heart rightout of the gate.

(31:42):
The kid that they got to playthe who is this kid?
Wasn't he in something elsethat we saw?

Speaker 2 (31:46):
I don't I think this might be his debut.
Is it his debut?
I think it might be Ben Wang hewas.
He was an American-born Chinese, okay, but aside from that, he
does not have a long or I reallylike the.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
I really like the.
I really like the director thatthey chose for this.
If I'm not mistaken, he did I'mnot okay with this on netflix,
which I watched, and then he didend of the effing world on
netflix, which is one of myfavorite shows.
I love that show so much.
I love that show so so much.
Um, it's a great pick as welltoo.
Um, he's only 41.
The director, which is one ofmy favorite shows.
I love that show so much.
I love that show so so much.
It's a great pick as well, too.
He's only 41, the director,which is great.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
The director.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Yep, so no, he did a phenomenal job with End of the
F-ing World and I mean justbringing him into something like
this, bringing him into thefranchise.
It's giving me the same energyI got from Stephen Caple Jr, who
turned into like the hey, letme direct a movie inside of the
franchise when the directors saythat I want to stop making them
.
It's funny that it happenedtwice with Creed and
Transformers.
But I really like Stephen CapleJr.

(32:53):
This feels the same way of likehe gets stepped into this
franchise, especially afterCobra Kai.
He's gonna have a little bit ofheavier lifting to do post
Cobra Kai because, hey, I don'tknow if Cobra Kai is even like.
I don't know if it's.
Is it canon?
We have to talk about canonwith the Karate Kid universe.
What happened to the game thatI love?

Speaker 2 (33:12):
Yeah, I think they've said that it's not canon to
Karate Kid or Karate or CobraKai, it's just canon to the
films.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Which means that Cobra Kai is in a separate
universe.
Oh no, the Cobra Kai willappear in Avengers Doomsday.
Didn't I say this?

Speaker 2 (33:28):
the last time we talked about this, where I said
the big plot twist is that thisRalph Macchio is going to fight
Ralph Macchio from the Cobra Kaiuniverse.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
It's two separate.
Ralph Macchios oh, he doesn'thave a family in this universe,
or anything like that.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Like we're in the Karate Kid extended multiverse
how does Jaden Smith play intoall this?
He's gonna be the post creditscene.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
If he's the post credit scene of this movie, I'm
gonna lose it.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
I'm gonna lose it this movie looks solid, man, I'm
really looking forward to itthe action looks real tight.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
I think I also said that, depending on how this
movie goes, I would love to seeum this kid, ben wang, be the
linley iron fist he'd be great,he would be phenomenal um, I
think that would be really, really cool, especially if maybe
they're gonna bring back finnjones yeah, why not have two
iron fists, like and I said, ifthey're gonna do finn jones
which we'll talk about next weekwhen we talk about Daredevil,

(34:24):
like just go full send, make himIron Fist.
Like literally grab I forgetwho grabbed the immortal Iron
Fist run and just do it Like Ijust don't know why it's so
complicated to do that.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
Yeah, man, karate kid , I can't wait.
We got a Beatles casting.
Yeah, yep, we got a Beatlescasting.
Yeah, yep, man, it's like a.
They got the Beatles of actorsTo be the Beatles.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Cast.
How are you feeling about thiscast?
I mean, some people were veryupset I heard, but then some
people were very happy, Like Idon't know.
I think it's fine.
I mean, you got.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Four of the best British people.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Yeah, you've got Harris Dickinson who's going to
be Cyclops.
Sure, paul Mescal, obviouslychannel favorite, one of my
favorite new I don't even wantto say new, but younger actors.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Barry Keegan.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Careful with Barry Keegan.
Villain yeah, villain.
Question mark Barry Keegan andJoseph Quinn Quinn, who's great
in everything so far that he'sbeen in.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Yeah and people are still like we don't know.
He's great in everything.
He's not been bad in one thingthat I've seen him in was I on
that train a little bit.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
I wasn't on the train , but I was at the station.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
I was at the station.
You were skeptical.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
You bought a ticket.
I bought the ticket but then Ithrew it away.
I said you know what?
I'm staying.
It was like a romantic comedy.
I'm staying.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
Yeah, joseph Quinn's just good at everything.
And people were still like Idon't know.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
He was really good in Gladiator 2.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
He was really good in A Quiet Place.
He won.
He was really good in how manymore?
How many more times does hehave to be good at things before
we're like wait, is he a goodactor?
Unfortunately, the fantasticfour is yeah that's the one
where people will make or breakhim don't worry, I'm sure he's
gonna be good in that too.
Um, but yeah, I think this catdid you tell me before this is
gonna be four movies yes, it'sfour movies.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Get lost four movies.
Who's directing?

Speaker 2 (36:19):
this isn't it um who's that's too many movies.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Somebody big's directing this.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
I don't need my Beatles movies to be
Avenger-fied.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Who's directing?
Oh, sam Mendes is going todirect this.
All of them.
Yes, he made 1917.
He'll be fine.
I mean, he's great, he'sphenomenal.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
But I don't know if I need yeah that I agree with, I
don't need four standalone.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
I just learned today that the Michael Jackson biopic
is going to be split into twoparts in the same year.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
I don't think I need four standalone Beatles films
before we get the Ringo Starrmovie.
You're not seeded for that.
But are they going to be likeJohn Lennon, the first Beatle?

Speaker 1 (37:09):
Yeah, chapter one, chapter two, two, chapter three,
no, no.
And then they're gonna seesomebody, so they're gonna team
up with timothy chalamet's bobdylan at the end.
I'm here to talk to you aboutthe music initiative, oh no, and
then all the music biopics aregonna merge into one singular
timeline.
What are?
We some kind of beetles whatare we some kind of beetle squad
?
Say that again.
Who else are you going to getfor this?
You got Timothee Chalamet asBob.
Dylan you have what's his nameRami Malek.
Rami Malek, freddie Mercury.

(37:30):
Who else do you got what's hisname?

Speaker 2 (37:33):
the four guys that played the Temptations in that
Temptations TV movie you got theguys.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
You got.
Johnny Cash you got, you got.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Johnny Cash.
You got Joaquin Phoenix andWalk the Line, johnny Cash.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
What other movies Austin Butler?
Oh is Elvis.
Oh, listen, wait, hold on, waita minute.
You saw Zendaya's playingRonnie Spector in an A24 movie
with Barry Jenkins, which isgoing to be phenomenal.
She's going to be in this.
Can you bring back Jamie Foxx'sRay Charles Yo, now you're
cooking.

(38:04):
Now.
Can you bring back jamie foxx'sright charl yo, this, now
you're cooking.
Now you're now you're cooking.
There you go.
Oh, the whole cast of um, thewhole cast of dream girls is in
this.
Oh, that is that double booking.
Wait, was jamie foxx and dreamgirls yes oh no yeah, I just
look.

Speaker 2 (38:19):
I I'm cool with a beatles biopic.
I just don't know if I needfour standalone beatles movies
before I get to the Beatlesmovie.
Is that hypocritical of me tosay when I watched four Avengers
movies before?

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Yeah, you did, you really did.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Look if John Lennon's gonna fight Jeff Bridges in a
big iron suit at the end of theJohn Lennon movie, then I might
be in that.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
Come on man I'm trying to think of.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
John Lennon built this guitar in a cave with a box
of scraps.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Oh no, what about La Bamba?
You gotta get that guy in there.
I'm just gonna, oh, pam andTommy, the Hulu show.
They're gonna be in it.
Oh no, wait, what else can youget in here?
Now?
I'm full send into this.
Who would you put in this movie?
I think that's it.
I think we did it.

(39:08):
Oh no, do you get DanielRadcliffe for the Weird Al
Yankovic movie?
No, you get um what's his name?

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Taron Egerton, to play Elton John See.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
See, now you're getting it.
Now you're getting it.
This is getting out of hand andI love it.
You think the Jersey Boys aregoing to make an appearance?
No, no, what if they do?
Cadillac Records without a G?
Yo, jeffrey Wright and Beyoncein this universe.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
For some reason NWA shows up.
I was going to say you get theguy that played Biggie in the
movie.
For some reason, NWA is in thismovie.
It's all one timeline Straightout of Compton.
It's one timeline he justknocks out Paul.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
McCartney Ice Cube.
Just Ringo Starr hits him overthe head with the drum.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
Drum, oh God.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
We lost the plot for a second, but it was worth it.

Speaker 2 (40:02):
It's fine, the cast is great, they're all British,
they're all great.
That's what they said about theBeatles when they-.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Yeah, they're all.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
British, they're all great.
Four stars, four out of fourstars.
Avatar Dog Sounds like it'sgoing to be good, are we
surprised.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
You want to talk about all-time haters, time
haters, before we start jokingaround.
They said what they showed andeverything.

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Just this movie looks it looks absolutely
breathtakingly absurdly I can'twait to do this dance at the end
of the year.
We do every time.

Speaker 1 (40:36):
It's the best christmas gift you can ask for.

Speaker 2 (40:38):
They're like this movie's not going to make any
money.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah it is, and then it just makes two billion
dollars yeah, this movie's gonnamake a trillion dollars yeah
and guess what's going to happenthe next time in two years?
It's going to make another $2billion.
Guess what's going to happen in2029?

Speaker 2 (40:50):
It's going to make another $2 billion Because these
movies are great, and hefinally figured out the
narrative.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
You make it about the sun question mark.
It's not even about Jakeanymore.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
You make it about loak and piacon, and then that's
it.
Yeah, he cracked, he, he made.
He made a two billion dollarmovie just world building, and
the second movie he was like.
Let me just throw some plot innow and let me throw some
character in there.
Yeah, and now, now he's justoff and running with these
avatar movies imagine that's howyou look at like now.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
He's comfortable, that's what I mean?
Yeah, that's kind of whathappened well, the studio gave
him no notes on this one.
You think it's because themovie's three hours long?
They're like we don't want to.
Come on, man, don't make usread this.
I'm not reading this, it's fine, I'm not reading this.
Hand me the Avengers Doomsdayscript.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
James, is it going to make $2 billion?
And he's like, yeah, probably.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
And they're like get out of here.

Speaker 2 (41:44):
I filmed this one in an actual volcano.
What?

Speaker 1 (41:47):
I filmed this one in the sky.
What, of course, I'm lookingforward to?
This Quaritch is going to teamup with the Fire Nation.
Of course he is.
And be like that, jake.
Sully those blue ones, no good,of course he is.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
I want him to figure out a way to get back into his
Stephen Lang body, though thatwould be absurd.

Speaker 1 (42:11):
I don't know how Time travel.
Oh, both of them at the sametime, fighting together, you
know what?

Speaker 2 (42:15):
It's only a matter of time before we get there.

Speaker 1 (42:17):
I still am hoping for my plot thread to come true,
where Natiri ends up being thebig bad of this whole thing and
Jake and Korach have to team upto take her out.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
That would be phenomenal.
Let me help write the fifth one.
James, I'm in, I'm in, you gotme, it's my favorite.

Speaker 1 (42:33):
No, and then they have to go back to Earth, and
then the battles get taken toEarth.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
The first movie's one of my favorite movies of all
time.
I've seen it a million times.
I'm in.
You don't have to convince meanymore.
You're not in Kansas anymore.
It's so good.
I can't wait.
Is this the only thing thatwhat's his name, Sam Worthington
, ever does with the rest of hislife?
Yes, this is his thing.
This is his thing.
You don't need to do anythingelse he can't breach any other
thing.
No, this is it.

(42:57):
Dc stuff it's really just.
We got Superman stuff, it'sreally just we got Superman
stuff.
It looks great People are madthat Crypto is a dog.

Speaker 1 (43:06):
Yeah, how dare Crypto be a dog?
Whatever happened to theSteiner unit?
Shut up.
What do they?

Speaker 2 (43:13):
want, do they?

Speaker 1 (43:18):
want him to be something else.
Yeah, they want him to murderpeople.
He's a dog, though.
Oh, you're talking about Crypto.
Yeah, it's almost like thislooks exactly like a comic book.

Speaker 2 (43:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
There's robots.
Yeah, there's robots.
And some of you were just likeI can't believe these stupid
robots.
I said what are we talkingabout?
The robots have been everySuperman thing, if you open the
All-Star Superman.
Well, somebody made a point, they were just like.
It kind of feels like thepeople that are complaining at
this are lying about readingcomics.
I said, yeah, they, they areflying, they're lying.
I saw a panel on Reddit onetime and they were like this is

(43:50):
it?
This is peak Superman.
It was probably the most evilversion of Superman they've ever
seen.
I just I don't know how youcan't you watch this and you
aren't hopeful.
Every I legitimately get chills.
Every time he saves that littlegirl in that slow motion shot,
it gives me actual chills.
Every single time, without fail.
He figured it out.
He figured out Superman.
This movie comes out July 11th,smack dag, middle of the summer

(44:13):
.
Superman and the superadventures of super things.
Like he got it, he gets it.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
Yeah, it looks great, man.
I mean that, that scene.
I mean obviously the scene theyshow.
But the moment when thefortress comes out of the arctic
, you're just like all rightyeah, what.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
What are you cooking?

Speaker 2 (44:32):
yeah, and then they just showed, I mean, the rest of
the clip basically was justmore of the trailer again, just
with some dialogue are we gonnaaddress this?

Speaker 1 (44:40):
the, the sudden thing , the what?
People were mad that the sunwas hurting him and I said his
bones were literally crackingback into place.
What are you talking about?
His bones?

Speaker 2 (44:52):
were broken.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
You know how hard he had to hit Superman to break a
bone?
Yeah, and they were shiftingback into place.
He's never had to feel thattype of pain in his life before.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
And his dog just jumped on him.

Speaker 1 (45:03):
Yeah, and people are like have people never broken
bones before and knows what thatfeels like to get them shifted
back?
Their initial get back hurts.
It's not.
It's not great like I.
It's just people are trying tofind anything schneider fans.
People are trying to findanything to, to, to be mad at,
like a fun, hopeful supermanmovie.

(45:23):
It's I don't.
I don't get it like I.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
Just I genuinely don't understand no, I yeah, I
don't know people, that's that'sthe one thing not worried.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
I think this movie's gonna do really well, I think
it's gonna be really good, butobviously there's gonna be just
that contingent that just is notgonna want to hear it the only
thing that I counted to thatpoint is me looking at like the
me looking at the comments forlike the trailers and me seeing,
like I was there whenchristopher reeves was superman
and I've been waiting forsomething like this to come,
like that group of people likegoing in force to see this movie

(45:53):
because, like again, thesteiner stuff, whatever superman
as the character in the worldsupersedes all of that, like
just the way that he is the hopethat he brings it's, it's above
all of that and I think waythat he is the hope that he
brings it's above all of that, and I think the fans with that
are going to be more powerfuland that's what's going to get
this movie over a billiondollars.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
Yeah, no, I agree, it's just going to be a very
loud, very angry group of peoplethat are just going to not want
to hear it.

Speaker 1 (46:18):
Essentially Just absurd.
It's weird.

Speaker 2 (46:21):
Marvel.
Mostly Spider-Man, though hassomething to do with Spider-Man.
So we got a title card revealfor the next iteration of the
Tom Holland movies, obviouslydirected by Dustin Daniel
Cretton brand new day,spider-man.
Obviously, spider-man is beforethe brand new day.

(46:41):
Bit from the way I said it,they're casting this movie
actively and I'm really, reallylooking forward to it.
I'm really keen on what DustinDaniel Cretton has planned for
this movie.

Speaker 1 (46:57):
And they're looking for an Asian actor from 30 to 50
.
A Chinese actor right From 30to 50?
I believe.
So, yeah, which obviously meansMr Negative is going to be one
of the villains of this film, who debuted in the Brand New Day
comic as well.
So I feel that makes me feelgreat the brand new day comic as
well.

(47:17):
So I feel that makes me feelgreat.
Obviously, if you played thespider-man playstation game,
you're very familiar with mrnegative and the narrative
potential that he can hold, especially with um, especially
with daniel destin cretin aswell.
That makes me very, I'm veryexcited to see that as well too.
Um, you get the right actor inthat place.
You know.
You have, you know, a greatvillain potential and spider-man
so encompassing, you know, evenin the mcu of the villains

(47:38):
being the stronger pieces.
Obviously, no way home kind ofusurps that a bit, but you look
at jake gyllenhaal as mysterio, michael keaton as vulture, like
those are two of the strongervillains out of the mcu that
there's been um.
Adding mr negatives into thatfold, I think is going to be
great.
So, uh, they're also casting a30 to 50 woman as well and

(47:59):
that's who people believe is themain villain of this movie.
I couldn't tell you who I wouldwant to be in that role.
I'm trying to think of somebodyViola Davis.
Viola Davis could be cool.
I don't know how old she is,but yeah, but still.
It doesn't have to be a hardstop.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
Also Sadie Sings also in this movie.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
Yes, okay, let's get this out of the way.
Is she just Gwen Stacy?
Yeah, I think so, but you thinkthey're going to do what they
did with Zendaya and, likeGwendolyn Stacey, no, no no.

Speaker 2 (48:30):
Or you think it's actually going just be Gwen
Stacy, and I think people arefreaking out because of her hair
color, as if she can't just dyeher hair.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
Bryce Dallas Howard is a redhead and she was blonde
in Spider-Man 3.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
Yeah, so people are like is she playing Jean Grey?
No, no, no, All right, Is sheplaying the actual Mary Jane
Watson?
I'm like you guys realize thatshe can change her hair color
Right.

Speaker 1 (48:54):
No, she can't.
She's not allowed to.
They cast her and she's neverallowed to touch her hair ever
again.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
So I think Gwen Stacy makes a ton of sense, I think I
mean, I guess, if you want togo a different route, she could
be Black Cat.

Speaker 1 (49:08):
Maybe that 30 to 50.
Actor is Black Cat.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Yeah, I could see that too.

Speaker 1 (49:16):
Yeah, and then I just think she's either Gwen Stacy
there's another character thatdebuted in Brand New Day that
people think she might beanother love interest for
Spider-Man, because obviously heforgets about Mary Jane and he
like undoes his marriage withher.
I just I think she's gonna playa love interest to him, but
she's also, like they said, she's like a fierce.
Fierce, like do-it-herself typeof person as well.
She's not playing Jean Grey.

(49:36):
No, yes, there's no X-Men inthis movie.
Calm down.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
There's plenty of X-Men in other movies.
Yes, that we're going to get to.
Also, I think Daniel Wu wouldbe a great Mr Negative.
Stowing that out there, my guyfrom Into the Badlands.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
Oh, that'd be pretty dang good.
That'd be pretty dang good.
That'd be pretty dang good.
Yeah, or get the actor from thegame.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
Yeah, yeah, he was tremendous.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Yeah, he was, he was incredible.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
Yeah, he was great.
Beyond the Spider-Verse.
We got a little bit about thatmovie.
It's coming out in 2027.
Two years away.
Two years away it's a long time, but it's fine.
I've said this before delaysare fine.
Just give people time to makethe thing that they want to make
right, and apparently thismovie is like bananas.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
Yeah, they said.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
They said they're they're trying out new animation
techniques, like they'repushing the envelope much in the
way, like john wick does withthe action genre, the into the
spider-verse continues to do sowith animation, which I think is
great.

Speaker 1 (50:34):
Yep I think they're gonna I think they're gonna go
the fullest of full send, like Igenuinely think, like the live
action spider-man will be.
All three of them will be inthis movie like they're good.
They're not gonna save anyexpense.
Um, the biggest hot take I havefor this movie is this movie
will pull from whatever happensin doomsday.
That's my hottest of hot take.

(50:55):
I.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
I think.
So I think they've already kindof said that this movie's gonna
bridge that, so I think thatwould be cool.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
Fantastic Four Just give us the footage, man.
Yeah, they showed off somethings that were like incredible
, that were pretty impressive.

Speaker 1 (51:11):
Just give us the movie.
They said the look of thephysical look of this movie,
like they were using vintagelenses, like they call it the
fantastic vision, like I lovethat.
Yeah, I love that.
I love the whole approach, likeeven the launch for the first
trailer.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Loved it, loved it, loved it, loved it, loved it.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
I don't think I've ever been this excited for a
Marvel movie Like and we'retalking and I can't tell you the
last time I was this excitedfor any Marvel movie.
I think Infinity War, sorry inthe new phase, oh yeah, in the
multiverse saga.
I had never been this excitedfor a movie.

Speaker 2 (51:47):
I think Spider-Man no Way Home.
I think had that.

Speaker 1 (51:52):
This feels different.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
It is different because no Way Home was
anticipating the nostalgia stuff.
This is like we're actuallyanticipating this, because it's
we don't, we don't know and thisjust looks like a great film
yeah, um, so they showed offsome silver surfer stuff
apparently in this footage.
Still not a lot of reed richardspowers, which again goes to my
idea that I don't think we'regonna see them a ton.

(52:15):
I think.
Again I'm gonna say this I'vesaid it before when we've talked
about this idea behind reedrichards, like, his superpower
is not the stretchiness, hissuperpower is his mind yes, so I
think that's what this movie isgonna leave in this footage
that they showed off.

Speaker 1 (52:29):
It's.
That's the point, yes, and youknow what I was talking about.
And we, we kind of said withPedro Pascal, the casting, one
of the unsaid things about it islike Reed Richards is like a
jerk.
He's not a jerk, but he's likea.
He's a closed off, you know, nihilistic, even thinking type
of person.
That's like I I'm notnihilistic, but like he's so

(52:51):
predicated on, like I can solveeverything.
He's like a.
He's a he's a shut in, likehe's like I can fix everything
and again, I can solveeverything.

Speaker 2 (52:57):
He's a shut-in Like he's like I can fix everything
and again I think this movie'sgoing to lean into that and lean
into the duality of ReedRichards.

Speaker 1 (53:00):
Yes, finally.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Yeah, you're going to see like the front-facing PR
version of Reed and then you'regoing to see like the behind
closed doors sealed off, kind ofcold.
I think you're going to seeboth those things and I think
that's a really good tact forthe character and for the story,
because I think the ultimatedestination of this movie is
that they fail it counters thehopefulness of the booming 60s

(53:25):
and especially this retro,futuristic 60s.

Speaker 1 (53:28):
And that PR Reed Richards you were talking about,
that's the perfect counter, isthe actual Reed Richards.
It's the one that's like I'drather be in a lab than be at a
press tour and making all thismoney.
Like I'd rather be in front ofsome equations and from this
footage you know, shallow bellcomes to earth and basically
says you know your world'smarked for death.
I think Matt Shackman came outand said there's no other
superheroes that are waiting inthe winds in this universe Like

(53:50):
we.
We had that theory that likethere was a 60s spider-man
running around and a 60s ironman running around, but that's
not the case.
This is just the fantastic fourlike.
And also they dealt witheverything in this universe.
Like all their villains havebeen dealt with, yeah, and
there's nobody around yeahexcept for one, which I'll get
to.
But and then you know shalabalcomes and says your, you know,

(54:14):
your world has been marked fordeath.
Aw, dang it, yep.
And then you know the worldstarts to panic and they said
like, are you guys going to helpus?
And they're like, yeah, sure,and Reed's like I don't know.
And again you see the cracks inReed Richards, like his facade
starts to go like he's real big, yeah, yep.
Like, like, yeah, hold thisultimate nullifier, cuz that

(54:36):
should be one of the lines inthe movie Ben, punch him, punch
him, clobber time cuz it'sclobber time.

Speaker 2 (54:43):
That man has the appearance of someone who's
about to tell you what time itis.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
I couldn't be happier .
They got Eben Mosbacher to playthe thing.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
I know.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
That's one of the most inspired castings in the
entire MCU.
It's really good.
Um, I think he's gonna be theheart and soul of this movie as
well too.
Um, you got a little bit moreof johnny as well, too, just
talking like obviously we didn'thear, we barely heard him talk
in the trailer.
He like talked the least out ofeverybody as well too.
Um, but they said shala balllooks, silver surfer looks
really cool, really good, reallycool.

(55:13):
Um, again, they just said theway this movie looks.
This movie physically looksreally good, which I'm really
excited about as well too.

Speaker 2 (55:21):
So I'm really looking forward to this.

Speaker 1 (55:23):
Yeah, I just think shackman has like a an absolute
handle on this thing and he'sgonna get handed the keys to the
castle when the russo's youknow this inner, this
intermittent, you know taketheir, they're having like
they're just going to give it toShackman after.
Yeah, and again, I thinkShackman just takes the X-Men.
Shackman might pass theFantastic Four to somebody else

(55:43):
he trusts.
Maybe he passes it to JackSchafer, maybe he passes the
Fantastic Four to Jack Schaferand he takes the X-Men.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
Yeah, I can see that.
Yeah, I think they got a reallygreat setup with this kind of
like corner of the MarvelUniverse between him.
I think Destin Daniel Crichtonagain is incredible, really
looking forward to see what hedoes with Spider-Man again.
Everyone needs to relax.
Marvel's gonna be okay.
I think we get the Thunderboltsnext month.

(56:13):
I'm really pumped for that.

Speaker 1 (56:15):
I just think that movie's gonna be and again I
said it about like I think BraveNew World was the last of like
the pump out as much stuffinitiative that Disney had, and
Thunderbolts is the start ofquality over quantity again you
could argue Daredevil might haveeven been the start just movies
wise just movies wise.
I think Thunderbolts was thefirst one to, and again they

(56:37):
went as far to make the absolutecinema trailer.
They were like, look at thispersonnel, we got on this movie.
Yeah, like you guys like indiemovies, here's your first indie
superhero movie.
Have fun in the MCU.
Have fun.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
Speaking of personnel .

Speaker 1 (56:52):
The Minecraft movie no Making a jillion dollars.
I the Minecraft movie NopeMaking a jillion dollars.
I'm not, I can't say I'msurprised, were people confused
as to what the target audiencewas for this.
Yes, children.
Are people mad that childrenget to enjoy a movie?

Speaker 2 (57:05):
Oh man, A movie about one of the most profitable.

Speaker 1 (57:08):
Probably the worst smelling movie theater you've
ever went to Axe body sprayeverywhere.

Speaker 2 (57:13):
You mean a movie about, you know, a movie based
on One of the most profitable, most beloved, most played video
games Of all times.
Making a ton of money thetarget audience Is like six to.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
I'm shocked.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
Of course this movie Is going to make money.

Speaker 1 (57:26):
It's like printing money Right now.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
Jack Black was built For a movie like this.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
The movie is going to Make a billion dollars.
Like it's just printing outmoney yeah, and jack black's
funny.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
Yeah, jason momoa's funny.
Kids are gonna like jack black.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Right, it's been that full, been that way for when I
was a kid, you know jack blackwas still really funny.
Guess what?
So yeah, of course people areenjoying death taxes and jack
black's a fun guy.

Speaker 2 (57:53):
of course kids are enjoying this movie.
Jack I, he was the voice voiceof Bowser and he was guess what?
He was funny.
Yeah, I enjoyed him as an adultman.

Speaker 1 (58:02):
Yeah, watching the Mario movie and Jack Black was
still funny.
Yeah, I just think he's goingto be a.
Okay, that's our Minecraft talk.
This movie's printing money,it's making it's.
That was not his fault.
He got set up.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
Him and Lizzo.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
They got set up.
What was going on there?
I don't what a.

Speaker 2 (58:22):
Man.
The Mandalorian season three.

Speaker 1 (58:24):
What a bizarre episode, yeah that was a bizarre
season a little bit.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
That was a really bizarre.
That movie's coming out thisyear.

Speaker 1 (58:32):
Yeah.
I just that movie's done, it isdone, it's filmed and we
haven't seen a thing.
That's a bit scary.

Speaker 2 (58:41):
It's because Pedro Pascal wasn't there.
Yeah, yeah, he just did thevoice work.

Speaker 1 (58:45):
He was too busy with Sunday dinner at 7.
I love that bit.

Speaker 2 (58:50):
I saw it again.
It got my phone, got alerted.
I was like, oh, it's 7 o'clock.
Fantastic Four tweetedsomething.
I'm like, ah, it's that goddamnclip again.
All right, avengers.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
So Marvel did this really baffling.
I have a Ooh.
I think it was one of thesmartest things.
I think it was absurdly smart.
I think it was stupid smart.

Speaker 2 (59:12):
Yeah, of course it was my boy's wicked smart, but
it was like Marvel's coming outwith the best news of all time.

Speaker 1 (59:21):
Yeah they made a big deal about it.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
And then the live stream starts and we're just
revealing chairs.

Speaker 1 (59:27):
The first chair's.
There it says Chris Hemsworth.
We were on the fence like is hegoing to come back?

Speaker 2 (59:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:32):
He said yes.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
So yeah, that's what this ended up being.
It was a, it was a cast revealfor avengers doomsday.
The last chair, of course, wasrobert downey jr.
Now I will say if they, if thecomic-con thing had never
happened, right, dog and they,we had no clue who was playing
dr doom.
And then you get to that lastchair down Downey walks in and

(59:55):
you're like I mean, you don'tget the Comic-Con live reaction.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
But what if he just has the mask in his hand, the
Doom mask in his hand, and walksaway?

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
Right and does the and then the Avengers theme
plays.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
Like that new Avengers theme.

Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
The new Avengers theme, yeah yeah, yeah, that
would have been really cool.
So yeah that's what this was,so I guess we'll just rattle
down this cast list and justkind of quick chat about this
before we get into our gimmick.
So yes, the first chair thatyou mentioned, chris Hemsworth.
Cool, I'm glad that Thor isback.
I'm especially excited thatThor is back for reasons that
we'll get to in a couple minutes, but cool, I'm glad that Thor

(01:00:32):
is back.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
I'm glad he's back with the Russos.
That's the best version of Thoris with the Russos.
I'm expecting this.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
I'm once again expecting a course correction.

Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
For back for Thor yes .

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Yeah, second, I'm also very curious to know if
these were in any sort of order.
No, like billing wise, or ifthey were just random.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
The end is definitely billing like it makes sense
that pedro pascal is only behindrobert downey jr in terms of
billing because it was just very.

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
I was very intrigued by how they positioned,
specifically like the teams likethey didn't like put the teams,
except for one team that we'llget yeah to in a little bit but
like chris hemsworth being thefirst name, I was like oh yeah.
And then the second name wasvanessa kirby, which I was like
oh yeah, I was like, wow, I'm mytheory is right my my long shot
theory of her being like theface of the mcu, going forward.

(01:01:23):
I'm like, oh, so yeah, vanessakirby, anthony mackie, yep, was
third, which is, which is great.
Yep, captain america umsebastian stan, which I don't.
I think people maybe were alittle surprised by um you know,
based on the Thunderbolts, andwhat his future holds so I think
interesting that he's downthere.
Another interesting one,Letitia Wright.

(01:01:45):
So we will be seeing Sherryagain.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
I just watched Black Panther a few days ago, black
Panther 2.
It's one of the best Rise arcsthat we got.
I talked about phase fourspecifically being about loss
and legacy, like that was thebest marriage of those two,
those two themes, and it was theman that her ascension to being

(01:02:08):
the black panther.
It's incredible, it is, it'sit's out.
It's one of the I will die onthat hill that leticia writes.
Performance in black panther 2is one of the single best
performances inside of the MCU.
It is outstanding how good sheis.
I'm glad that they made thedecision Now.
Do I think that she's going tosurvive through this?
I think she's going to die,like?
I think she'll die and thatthey'll recast T'Challa once the

(01:02:30):
universe is remade, but for now, as her as Black Panther
incredible Like.
I is remade, but for now, as her, as Black Panther incredible.
I'm so glad she's back and wehave a Black Panther.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Paul Rudd was next.
They gave him a little chair.
I'm very interested to see whathis role in this is going to be
.

Speaker 1 (01:02:46):
You know what his role is going to be.
I was thinking about this.
He's going to be the one that'slike I'm one of the OG Avengers
.

Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
They're like well kind of Not really, though I'm
very interested in his role inthis because of what happened
with Quantumania.
He was obviously very directlytied to the Kang stuff and
clearly the Kang stuff is poofSmoke.

Speaker 1 (01:03:07):
Does it make it a little easy that Kang was dealt
with Like it was the biggestblessing in disguise, that
Ant-Man actually did beat Kang?

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
Yeah, so it's like you know, like are we going to
know?
Are we going to hear about that?
Well, if he meets Loki.

Speaker 1 (01:03:18):
Loki will probably tell him we dealt with it and
he's like oh, thank God, thankGod, that guy beat my butt,
thank.
God yeah, so I'm very curiousto see what his role is going to
be in a into this.
He could be the one that's kindof bridging all the Avengers
Because he's famous.
Now.
He might be the one with theAvengers, the West Coast

(01:03:40):
Avengers mansion.
He might be the first call thatSam makes.
Yeah, sam might be like.
I need you.
I need you, tic-tac.
I'm putting together a teamthat's very possible.
Based on this group, he mightbe the one that houses the
Avengers.
Yeah, he's rich.
He's rich and famous.
Now it might be him.

Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
Wyatt Russell, yep, us agent.
I think that's a good call.

Speaker 1 (01:04:00):
I can't wait for that .
I just I want somebody madethis argument and I'm actually
in this Top three post end gamecharacter that we've had, like
the multiversal.
Sagi is one of the bestcharacters that we've had so far
.
I want to see what they do withhim in the Thunderbolts, but he
is one of the most compellingcharacters that we've had in
this new phase.

Speaker 2 (01:04:21):
Yeah, I would agree with that.
Another kind of surprising one,Tanak Huerta.

Speaker 1 (01:04:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:04:26):
Is back as Namor.

Speaker 1 (01:04:27):
Obviously there was some stuff that had gone on in
his personal life that I thoughthe was never coming back to
play Namor again.
So to get him back.
Obviously that's dealt with.

Speaker 2 (01:04:36):
Again, another character that I'm very
interested to see how hecoalesces with.

Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
When they said the Wakandans, I don't think they
just meant the Wakandans, Ithink they meant the Black
Panther Squad, which includesTenak Werta.

Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
Yeah, which includes Talakhan.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
So I think, unfortunately Churi and him are
going to have to team up forwhatever happens, and also there
might be some Illuminati stuffit's either Illuminati stuff or
he's going to join Doom.

Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
He's just going to join him and he's going to be
like no, this guy actuallyunderstands, he gets it this man
gets it.

Speaker 2 (01:05:08):
Evan Boss Macrock, obviously as the thing.
Another name that I wasdelighted to see Simu Liu.
They got my boy out of prison.
What did he do?
He literally did not.

Speaker 1 (01:05:16):
Another name that I was delighted to see Simu Liu.
They got my boy out of prison.
What did he do?
He literally did not doanything.
They got my boy out of prison.
Shang-chi will indeed return.
Let's go, man.
I was so happy to see thatSeven years later after his
first appearance.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
That made me so happy .
I was like, yes, he's back.
Florence Pugh as Yolanda Belova, we'll be back.
I don't think there's asurprise there.
Kelsey Grammer so yeah, this iswhere it's like alright cool,
but like, okay, we saw theMarvels, we knew that
something's cooking yeah, Ithink they did well, because
we'll talk about the other stuffin a second, but it was

(01:05:50):
interesting how they positionedhim versus the other, because
they did some other names.

Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
I think they did that purposely because of the
post-credits scene Like this isno surprise, it's cool, there's
no surprise.

Speaker 2 (01:06:00):
Kelsey Grammer also famously loves playing.

Speaker 1 (01:06:02):
Beast Yep, Especially now that he doesn't have to put
the makeup on anymore.
He's like I'll freaking playBeast for a million years.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
So I'm glad that he got his wish.
Century will be in this.

Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
I think he's gonna play a pretty decent part in
this movie.
I would.
I think he's gonna play thepart where they're just like oh
thank God we have somebody thatcan deal with doom, and then he
click, kicks into the void.
They're like now we got to dealwith this on top of that too.

Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
No, no oh no, no, danny Ramirez returns is.

Speaker 1 (01:06:28):
Joaquin.

Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
Torres, which Captain America Brave that, he's kind
of like the first Avenger.
Joseph Quinn, Human Torch againno surprise.
David Harbour, Red Guardian, alittle bit of a surprise.

Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Sure sure.

Speaker 2 (01:06:40):
A little bit of a surprise that he's going to be
in this Winston Duke in Baku.
I think is great.

Speaker 1 (01:06:44):
Yes, why wouldn't you want the King of Wakanda to be
in this movie?

Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
I think he's great.
He's been great in everythingthat he's been in so far.
I great in everything that he'sbeen in so far.

Speaker 1 (01:06:53):
I can't wait till he sees the thing, the comedic gold
potential that we could have.

Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
Hannah John come in as Ghost again.
I think another moderatesurprise.
But then you start to obviouslyyou understand what's going on
here Avengers, thunderbolts, fantastic Four, and then hold,
hold, hold.
Another pleasant surprise Tomhiddleston will be back as loki,
which I think is awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:07:21):
I think it's incredible.
I mean, they dealt with thekang stuff in it.
It kind of it's what we thoughtwas going to happen for kang
dynasty that kang was going toimmediately go after loki to try
to end the multiverse that way, like just kill loki.
He can't hold the multiverse.
I just think doom is gonna dothat to him.
Maybe that's the catalyst thatexplodes the multiverse.
Is loki holding them?

Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
yeah, and you just gotta, you gotta give thor and
loki man, you just gotta, yougotta do it.
Um, that's, I'm really lookingforward to that.
And then, and, and then thisthing goes off the rails for
about 45 minutes.
Patrick Stewart is back asProfessor.

Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
X and you're like all right, still been in an MCU
movie before.
Makes sense Makes sense.

Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
Makes sense.
Is he going to die again?
Probably.
Yeah, it's Professor X'scalling card.
Yep, plot twist they bring himback as McAvoy.
No, no, no plot twist, theybring him back as um mcavoy no,
no, no.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
They bring patrick stewart in as the uh like
ultimate professor x.

Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
Oh my god, the helmet , yeah, and the spandex, yep.
Just seeing patrick stewartplay that version of professor x
would be funny.
Um, and then, and then itstarts to get wild ian mckellen,
and you're like huh, sir ianmckellen.

Speaker 1 (01:08:32):
And then you're like, okay, now this is getting, but
still a little piece of you Islike Make sense of Patrick
Stortz there.

Speaker 2 (01:08:39):
Sir Ian McKellen Is back as Magneto.
I can't believe it.
I genuinely can't believe thathe'd come back.

Speaker 1 (01:08:47):
I still was A little bit like Okay, like it still
made sense to me the next onewhen I was like Huh, yes, so
Alan Cumming is coming back asNightcrawler.
Brother what?

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
And that's when I was like okay, what is this?

Speaker 1 (01:09:05):
I have my theory, but keep going because it still
keeps getting crazier.

Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
Rebecca Romijn comes back and people are like I think
that was the one where peoplewere like huh, who, who, and
they jumped on the Googlemachine and they're like wait,
oh shoot, she played Mystique inthe original X-Men trilogy, so
she's back.
And then James Marsden gotrevealed.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
Let me just get into it.
James Marsden's having a greatyear already.
He's in one of the most famousshows this year Paradise, sonic,
sonic, paradise, but sonic,sonic.
What they did for cyclops andx-men 97 is exactly what they're
gonna do with james marsden inthis movie.
Like this is your chance to,and I think that's purposely why
they didn't reveal hugh jackmanwas gonna be in this movie.

(01:09:48):
Yet obviously him and deadpoolare gonna be in this movie, but
I think that was the absoluteintention was the fact to get
james marsden back to being theCyclops as the actual field
leader of the X-Men, and that'sgoing to lean into and it gives
him his justice man.
James Marsden deserves it.

Speaker 2 (01:10:06):
I think we do need to kind of do a little.
We don't have to do so muchtheorizing about the Avengers or
the Thunderbolts.
I feel like their roles arerelatively straightforward.

Speaker 1 (01:10:14):
I think it's the.

Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
X-Men characters, where we have to kind of spin
the wheel a little bit and thenthe last couple reveals Channing
Tatum will be back as Gambit.

Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
Right, I hope they don't treat it as a joke.
I do think he's actually goingto be like a I think he's going
to be like proper Gambit Again.

Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
It's going to roll into my theory about the X-Men
characters in a second PedroPascal, Mr Fantastic and, of
course, Robert Downey Jr, asDoctor Doom rounds out the cast
for now.
Yes, marvel has said, therewill be more announcements soon.

Speaker 1 (01:10:45):
Yes, we took care of it for them.
That's our show for the day.
We took care of it.

Speaker 2 (01:10:50):
There are some actors and characters conspicuous by
their absence, for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:10:56):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
Quite a few.

Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
Yeah right.

Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
But let's just spit the block on these X-Men
characters for a second.
So my theory coming off of theMarvels was whatever universe
that all these X-Men are goingto be from the same universe the
Kelsey Grammer that we saw inthe Marvels is going to be the
same universe as these actors,as these other as these other.
X-men actors, and I don't thinkthey are going to be one-to-one
the Fox X-Men characters.

(01:11:23):
No, I think they're going to bein the vein of inspired by,
however you want to say, theanimated X-Men characters.

Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
I think this team is the X-Men 97 team in the present
day.

Speaker 2 (01:11:35):
They're the X-Men 25.
That's how it's going to go.
I think this team is the X-Men97 team.

Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
In the present day, they're the X-Men 25.
That's how it's going to go andit's specific.
It was Nightcrawler and it wasGambit that really said okay,
this seems like this is actually, and Cyclops and Cyclops,
because I think they're going toput him in the costume.

Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
They're all going to be in the costume.
Yes, 100%.
Like the colorful blue andyellow for Cyclops Gambits.
We already kind of saw theGambit costume, obviously, Alan
Cummings is going to be in them.
I think they're going to putSir Ian McKellen in the red and
purple Magneto costume.

Speaker 1 (01:12:07):
And Professor X has already been in the chair.
He already did it in Multiverseof Madness.

Speaker 2 (01:12:11):
I think yeah, yes, yes, 100 times yes.

Speaker 1 (01:12:16):
Like an older version , like they've been through so
much version of the X-Men.
And this would be the last ofJeffery you want to talk about
how not nostalgia bait, but thisone feels more natural of
everybody's about to get theirdue for my childhood X-Men.
Yeah, I literally grew up, wegrew up with watching these
X-Men and finally we're going tosee them as the fully-fledged,

(01:12:37):
full versions of themselves.
That X-Men 97 being incredible.
You're not going to miss onthat opportunity.
And then you add the characters.
You have Binary, who's on thisteam of X-Men.
You can add a few new X-Men inhere which will get us into the
bridge gap.
Just rounding out obviously thewill lead the Avengers.
I think that obviouslyAnthony's going to, or Sam's

(01:13:00):
going to, lead them and thenhe'll make his calls.
He'll get his Avengers team.
He's going to call BuckyBucky's, like I got a team of my
own.
I think Doom's going to goafter the Vibranium, which is
going to get the Wakandans andthe Talakanians together to be
like sir, no, no, thanks.
And then obviously, I think bythe end of that movie the

(01:13:20):
Fantastic Four are going to endup in the main 616.

Speaker 2 (01:13:24):
And the Fantastic Four, I think are going to be an
interesting place becausethey're going to I'm assuming
they're going to come fresh offof a failure to stop their world
from being destroyed Right.

Speaker 1 (01:13:31):
And then, obviously, the big theory that I think is
it's true.
I just don't.
I don't see that being the lastmovie before Doomsday, and this
isn't true, that the RobertDowney Jr is the fantastic, he's
the, he's the he's the DoctorDoom of the Fantastic Four
universe.

Speaker 2 (01:13:46):
Yeah, and that's going to lead like that's going
to lead to a natural clashbetween Reed Richards and the
other leaders of these otherfactions.

Speaker 1 (01:13:54):
And you know what helps to.
But again, reed Richards, beingthis nihilistic schemer, is
immediately going to be.
Who's the I don't care aboutthe rest of you who's the leader
of all of these?
So, the new Illuminati?
I think it's going to be SamWilson, I think it's going to,
it's going to be Sam, it's goingto be Bruce, it's going to be
Carol, sam, bruce, carol.
It'll be Professor X, it'll beBlack Panther, letitia Wright,

(01:14:18):
it'll be Reed.
Who would be the last one onthis team?
Probably Namor right, I have adifferent one or Namor, I think
Bucky will also be in here.

Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
I mean it's also interesting this cast list too,
because Reed Richards, hedoesn't have an intellectual
equal among this group sure hewould be the closest yeah,
unless you count like sherry andthen like maybe professor x or
magneto, like one of those two.
Um, so it's gonna.

(01:14:48):
It's interesting that hedoesn't.

Speaker 1 (01:14:50):
There is no intellectual equal to kind of
like challenge him on anythingwell, I I think that's why
Letitia writes in this moviespecifically is to be that one,
and not only be that one be oneof the main heroes of this thing
too, like not only, you know, mentally being able to challenge
, but physically being able tochallenge, yeah.
And then again it's.
I think what they need toreally do.
Early on in the movie is sethow important Sam is to being

(01:15:13):
the leader of the Avengers.
Reed's like why are you even?
He's like no, no, no, this ismy team.
And then Bucky's like wait, butI also got my team.
And then the Fantastic Four aregoing to be like wait, we got
our team.

Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
And then the X-Men are going to show up, yep.

Speaker 1 (01:15:25):
And then the Thunderbolts are like no, we're
the actual Avengers and it'sgoing to be this Cluster of
these teams trying to mesh andmeld together.

Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
Well, because the Sentry also gives the
Thunderbolts credibility.

Speaker 1 (01:15:37):
Right, exactly, but they're like his babysitter,
like to make sure he doesn't goballistic.

Speaker 2 (01:15:44):
Yeah, Like they all.
It's kind of funny that eachfaction has kind of like a heavy
.
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:15:50):
Like the.

Speaker 2 (01:15:51):
Avengers have Thor Right, the Thunderbolts have the
Sentry, the Wakandan factionhas Namor and then the X-Men
have.
I mean, take your pick.
I guess Magneto, power-wise, isprobably the heavy one.

Speaker 1 (01:16:03):
I think it's Jean Grey which we're going to talk
about in a little bit Sure.

Speaker 2 (01:16:06):
Yeah, because, again, conspicuous by their absence
are a whole host of characters.

Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
Which leads us into our actual show for the day.
Our gimmick, our gimmick forthe day.
We are going to focus on thecharacters that were not there.
I did a specific split of howwe are going to go about this.
Okay, we are going to do I'mlistening we're still going to
do 27.
18 of them will be just theactual MCU characters that just

(01:16:34):
weren't announced Like we'veseen them in the MCU.
They're just not here.
We are going to do seven ofthem or, excuse me, nine of them
will be the non-MCU charactersthat you think could show up.
And then you've got three wildcards Could be new actors added
into this franchise.
It could be actors that havebeen in different stuff, like

(01:16:56):
three just jaw drop ones.
Okay, all right, so I mean youcan rapid fire through the MCU
actuals.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
Yeah, I mean, I feel like most of those are.
I feel like we can kind of likeco-write these ones.
Because I feel like we wouldprobably end up having the same
ones.
Sure, so I would imagine I meanDeadpool Wolverine.
Yes, so I would imagine I meanDeadpool Wolverine.

Speaker 1 (01:17:16):
Yes, that's what I have Deadpool and Wolverine.

Speaker 2 (01:17:18):
Yep Scarlet Witch.

Speaker 1 (01:17:20):
I do not have her Interesting.
I truthfully think she's notgoing to be in this movie.

Speaker 2 (01:17:25):
Saving her for Secret .

Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
Wars.
Exactly.
And to your point of who's had,if they have no person to be
the, she's the best option to belike the jaw drop.

Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
Like I'm, I, I'm, I'm thinking, I'm back, yeah, um
storm.

Speaker 1 (01:17:45):
You're counting her as your mcu yeah, I mean I would
count her in the same vein asthese other x-men characters I
can't like.
And well, those are the onesthat are my non-mcu ones.
That's how I split it, so likeI'm not counting storm, like
she's never been in an MCU moviebefore Captain Marvel Yep, yep,
I have.

Speaker 2 (01:17:56):
Carol.

Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
Hulk Yep, I have Hulk , which means Jen Walters
She-Hulk.

Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:18:02):
I have Kamala Khan, kate Bishop Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (01:18:05):
Monica Rambeau.
Yep, I have Rhodey.

Speaker 2 (01:18:09):
Yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (01:18:14):
I have Star-Lord on here, Specifically Star-Lord Yep
.
He's the only Guardian that Ihave on here.

Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
Yep, I would do that.
I have Doctor Strange in here.

Speaker 1 (01:18:21):
Yes, I have Ironheart in here.
Yes, I can see that I have RedHulk in here.
Oh, I think you bring HarrisonFord back for this, to give them
another Heavy in here.
Interesting, I have Wonder manin here.

Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
Oh, I like this.

Speaker 1 (01:18:38):
I have Spider-Man in here, obviously.
Yep, yeah, that's it so.
Bruce Banner, jennifer Walters, carol Danvers, kamala Khan,
monica Rambeau, james Rhodes, vision Moon Knight.
I have Moon Knight.
Yep, I have Moon Knight as welltoo.
Doctor Strange, star-lord Kate, bishop Ironheart, deadpool up.
I have moon knight as well too.

Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
Dr strange, star lord kate bishop, ironheart,
deadpool, wolverine, spider-man,wonder man, red hulk, yeah,
yeah, I think that's solid.
I mean I'm trying to think ofanyone else maybe that would or
could show up.
I mean there's some, there'ssome wild ones like I think
there's a world.
I think there's a world where, maybe, at the end of this thing,
steve Rogers comes back.

Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
I purposely didn't do Natasha Steve.
I purposely didn't do the twoof them because I already think
they're in this movie.
They're either in this movie orthey're in Secret Wars.
I genuinely think they're boththere.
I'm not overtly concerned aboutkeeping them in there.
I'm not overtly concerned aboutkeeping them in there.

(01:19:39):
I also didn't want charactersthat were going to come back to.
I want the actual charactersthat would be a part of the
actual Avengers roster.
Let me do this.
I'm going to actually swapsomebody out.
I'm actually going to take outI really think Ironheart's going
to be in this movie.
I'm going to sacrifice Wonderman because he might be too new

(01:19:59):
for Wong.

Speaker 2 (01:20:00):
Oh, Wong, Absolutely.
I think Wong has to be in thismovie.

Speaker 1 (01:20:02):
Yeah, I'll swap that and you get your mystical side.
He's a Sorcerer Supreme, damnit.
But I'm keeping Moon Knight inhere.
The moon is watching, the moonis watching.
Alright, I'll let you cook onyour non-MCU, your nine non-MCU
characters.

Speaker 2 (01:20:17):
Storm Jean Grey yes man, I think there's a world.
I do think there's a worldwhere they might get Blade in
this movie, which Blade, the newBlade.

Speaker 1 (01:20:34):
I'll just spoil one.
I think they're getting Blade,but it's Wesley Snipes, I think.

Speaker 2 (01:20:37):
I might, I'll just spoil one.
I think they're getting Blade,but it's Wesley Snipes Mm Like I
, just I.
I think they know.
They have to know in the backof their mind that they've done
some sort of wrong yeah.
And I think the way that theycan sort of make it up to him is
get him in this Avengers moviesomehow.
It'd be a little tough man, itwould be a little tough, but I

(01:20:57):
don't know.
I just feel like you gotta doright by him somehow, and I feel
like that's a way to do it Okay.
You know, Sure Not an MCU, huh,I think that there's a world
that Daisy shows up.
Okay, from Agents of SHIELD,she's the character that makes

(01:21:19):
the most sense.

Speaker 1 (01:21:20):
Well, I told you about the split, I think, agents
of SHIELD, season5, physicallysplit from the timeline, split
from the MCU.
That's a branch reality Inwhich she might have quaked her
way Through the multiverseitself back to the main 616.

Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
And then I think, if they're going to save, this is
going to sound really strange.
I think, if they're going tosave Steve Rogers for Secret
Wars, I think they're going toget the original Fantastic Four
in this movie, the whole group, not just Reed Richards.
They're going to get all ofthem Jessica Alba, chris Evans,

(01:21:57):
michael Chiklis and what's hisname that plays Reed Richards?
Oh, um, yohan Griffin.
Yes, yohan Griffin.
I think that was nine.
Was that nine Sounded like nine?
Sure did so.
That would be pretty much madeup of X-Men, the rest of the
X-Men and then the otherFantastic Four.

Speaker 1 (01:22:16):
Okay, okay, I like it .
I like the approach.
All right, so what I did formine?

Speaker 2 (01:22:22):
is Because I think they're saving Again not to cut
you off but, I think they'resaving the other Spider-Men for
Secret Wars.

Speaker 1 (01:22:29):
Sure, sure, I can live with the world worth,
because you don't want tojam-pack too much and also, like
you do have some lifting inthis movie, like you genuinely
do have to get Anthony Mackie tobe the leader of the actual
Avengers.
You have to mesh all theseteams together, like if you
thought the logistical nightmareof Infinity War was something
that's like a child's playcompared to what's going to

(01:22:50):
happen here.

Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
Yeah, yes.

Speaker 1 (01:22:53):
So what I think is going to happen is you are going
to have I'm actually going toswap, I'm going to add one
You're going to have in here.
You're going to have TimStory's Fantastic Four.
You'll have the original withChris Evans' Fantastic Four in
there, but this time a littlebit more serious.

Speaker 2 (01:23:15):
Not the Deadpool and Wolverine version.
You're not going to like whathappens next?

Speaker 1 (01:23:19):
Oh my god, I put Peter 2 and Peter 3 in here.

Speaker 2 (01:23:22):
Okay, yeah, that's fine.

Speaker 1 (01:23:25):
Wesley Snipes played specifically.
You know what?
I'll take out Peter 2 and Peter3.
I'll actually buy into yourtheory that they're, and I agree
that they won't.
I'll replace it with Elektra.

Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
Elektra.
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (01:23:39):
Yeah, like if they were in Deadpool Wolverine and
they worked like I genuinelythink there'll be back Sure Um
narrative leave.
It makes more sense as well too.

Speaker 2 (01:23:47):
Um, so the original fantastic four you're going to
put Daredevil in this, aren'tyou?

Speaker 1 (01:23:51):
No, I'm actually not.
Oh, I don't think Ben Affleckwould do this.
No, probably not no version.
He's not going to do theserious version.
Jean Grey, jean Grey and StormFamke Jensen.
Jean Grey and Halle Berry.
And Halle Berry was just atCinemaCon.
She's like, no, I'm not in thismovie.
Who was she with when she saidthat?
Say it.

(01:24:12):
Who was she with?
Who was she with when she waslying through her teeth that
she's not going to be in thismovie?
Who was she with?
She was with Andrew Garfield.
Andrew Garfield.
Andrew Garfield told her lielike there's no more the biggest
liar in the universe.
So you know, jean Grey and Storm, they're going to put them both
in suits.
You ready, mohawk?

(01:24:34):
Oh, that'd be cool for HalleBerry to give her the Mohawk.
That'd be pretty cool.
You ready, yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:24:44):
Miles Teller Reed Richards.
Pretty cool, you ready?
Yeah, miles teller reedrichards as the maker yeah,
you've been you've been bangingthis drum for a while.

Speaker 1 (01:24:48):
I think it's sound rogue because there can't be a
game and it's gonna be um it'sgonna be um uh, anna paquin as
rogue.
That would be cool.
Bring her back, let heractually be rogue like.
Give her the and make thisuniverse where she stole her
powers.
She stole captain marvel'spowers as well, too.
You could absolutely do that.
Yep, they're gonna give her theand make this universe where
she stole her powers.
She stole Captain Marvel'spowers as well, too.

Speaker 2 (01:25:04):
You could absolutely do that, yep, they're going to
give her the accent.

Speaker 1 (01:25:08):
She already kind of had it Like I don't need much,
like I don't need her to go fullGambit that no one got to come
out with it.
You never want to go fullGambit.
Black Bolt will be here.
Black Agar Bolting on black agar, bolting on, will be here.
Um, they'll find a way to gethim in here.
They'll find, they'll find anyconceivable way to get him in

(01:25:32):
here.
And then I I, the last one wasa little tough, like I really
was trying to, I was trying tolike scour everywhere, to really
think about it, like I don'tknow how far dipped into the
multiverse we're gonna go inthis movie.
I would love, love, love ifthey get eric bannis hulk back.
That's tremendous.

(01:25:54):
If they find a way and then, like in the scene, they do the
comic book intercut the way theywere doing the panels, just for
that scene that would behilarious.

Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
Um interesting, you didn't have madam webb in there
nope, it's not actually.

Speaker 1 (01:26:07):
It's actually not interesting, I think it's.

Speaker 2 (01:26:10):
That's quite interesting.
I don't think it's interestingat all notable by her absence.

Speaker 1 (01:26:14):
You didn't no, I'm actually.
I actually went out of my wayto make sure that I didn't say
no, madam webb.
No morbius, no, because whywould they be here?
No Venom, you know what's crazyI genuinely thought about.
I really think they're justgoing to go full send in Secret
Wars.

Speaker 2 (01:26:31):
And put Venom in it.
Venom.

Speaker 1 (01:26:33):
Venom the Spider-Man.
I think the Spider-Man will bein that, but Eric Bana's Hulk as
Maestro would be the coolest.
But Ed Norton's Hulk would bethe best Maestro you can ask for
.

Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
Let me ask you a Secret Wars question, not about
the comic, about the movie.
Do you think they're going tobring Iron man back?

Speaker 1 (01:26:50):
Yes, 100%.

Speaker 2 (01:26:52):
Oh man A thousand percent.

Speaker 1 (01:26:53):
That would be wild.
They're going to bring back.
They're going to have theoriginal Avengers team there.
Is he going to fight himself?

Speaker 2 (01:27:03):
I'm serious.
Are they going to try and dothat?
Are they going to do?

Speaker 1 (01:27:05):
a Gemini man situation.
Well, they'll do.
The original Avengers coupledwith the new Avengers, it'll be
this absolutely insane splashpage of God.

Speaker 2 (01:27:14):
Emperor Doom, you can do it too, because they both
have masks on.
So Downey could do thevoiceover for Iron man and Doom.

Speaker 1 (01:27:22):
Mm-hmm, that would be wild.
No, I legitimately think that'sexactly what's going to happen.

Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
Oh man, that would be insane.
Who else did you not put inhere no Apocalypse, who
Apocalypse, apocalypse no.

Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
Apocalypse in there.
I tried to think of some moreX-Men characters.
You know who would be fun?
No, craven the Hunter.
No, you know who would be fun?
Iceman from the original X-Menmovies.
I was going to say Iceman, thatwould have been a fun one.

Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
I think I said that to you like a week ago.
Give me Omega level Iceman inthis movie.

Speaker 1 (01:27:57):
Yes, what's his name?
Who's the him?

Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
Sean Ashmore.
Oh, sean Ashmore.
Sean Ashton is in Lord of theRings.
Yes, come on, mr Frodo, wegotta get him to small camp.

Speaker 1 (01:28:09):
Samwise Gamgee showing up in Avengers.
Yo the Secret Wars, just do allthe things.
John Wick will return in SecretWars.
Ethan Hunt will return inSecret Wars.

Speaker 2 (01:28:19):
Did you say Vision?

Speaker 1 (01:28:20):
Yes, you did say Vision?

Speaker 2 (01:28:22):
yes, you did say.

Speaker 1 (01:28:22):
Vision in my original team.
Alright, I need three wildcards like the, the WTFs um
Ghost Rider.

Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
I also have Ghost Rider guess it's not that much
of a W which Ghost Rider it'sNicholas Cage yeah, that's the
crowd pop one yeah, um, I thinkthat would just be cool.
Just put him in there.

Speaker 1 (01:28:43):
Yeah, you were talking the boom crowd pops.
I think that would just be cool.
Just put him in there.

Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
We're talking the boom crowd pops.
I know it's two differentcharacters, but I'm counting
them as one Fassbender andMcAvoy.

Speaker 1 (01:28:52):
That's fine with me, I'm good with that.
I want them to play the Krakoanversions of themselves.
Mcavoy, he has the helmet on,he has the suit on, like
Fassbender has the white, thefull white, like Magneto suit,
like.
That's the version I want outof the two of them.

(01:29:13):
Yeah, also, just make themProfessor X and Fassbender and
Magneto in the new MCU.
You could.

Speaker 2 (01:29:21):
It's funny and just don't see it's funny and just
don't see it's funny thatthey've aged themselves kind of
into the roles now, right, andlike, just don't.

Speaker 1 (01:29:26):
And then they can play those characters for like
the next 20 years and nobodywould bat an eye.

Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
If they want to.

Speaker 1 (01:29:30):
Because they're the best by far of the post Days of
Future Past or the post likeoriginal trilogy.
I have Thanos here.
I also have Thanos here.
I see how our brains work.
I have Thanos slash Cable.
Oh, for comedic purposes, yeah,I just.

(01:29:53):
I genuinely don't think andagain, it's to give Doctor Doom
the credibility.
I don't think you leave SecretWars Without the splash page of
him just grabbing Thanos' spineand ripping it out of his I
think they might even do that inDoomsday.
They could.
He goes to a universe.
Where Do you think he's goingto try to make the Infinity
Gauntlet himself and show howeasy it is?
Maybe?

Speaker 2 (01:30:14):
I think they're going to do what I think they're
going to do with Doom inDoomsday, like the first 15
minutes that they did withThanos in Infinity War put him
up against the baddest dog inthe yard, in which case would be
Thanos from another universe.

Speaker 1 (01:30:31):
Imagine he beats him with the Infinity Gauntlet.

Speaker 2 (01:30:34):
That would be a nice change from the comic, because
in the comic obviously they havethat back and forth where
Thanos is like I'm the strongestbeing in the universe, this,
that and the other thing.
He'd.
Thanos is like I'm thestrongest being in the universe,
this, that and the other thingto do was like well, do you have
the infinity gauntlet now?
Thanos was like no, but that, even without the gauntlet, like
that's enough.
And then doom vaporizes them.
He's like that would appearuntrue, that'd be a great like

(01:30:55):
opening 10 minutes when you'relike, oh, like, that was the guy
that the last drill, like thing, was about and he just smoked
him.

Speaker 1 (01:31:05):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:31:07):
So I think that would be cool, trying to think of
like other ones.
That would be like really wild.
I had Quake in there.
That would be pretty fun.
I don't know if it would belike Doc, your, I mean, I guess

(01:31:29):
it would depend on like howfervent the Agents of SHIELD
fanbase is but.
I don't know how much thatwould get people going.
Coulson would.
Coulson would be fun, Coulsonwould yeah People would enjoy
that.

Speaker 1 (01:31:34):
I have the Scarlet Witch in here.

Speaker 2 (01:31:47):
Yes, as, like she's the post-credits scene, like I
need somebody to blow up themultiverse for me so we can get
this thing going.
So I can assume, like I need abeing that can house all the
energy from the multiverse.
She's the one.
I've been saying this for years, that she more than any, maybe
with loki, like loki in theresomewhere, she's the.
She's the one with the mostoomph, like in her backstory at
a multiversal level, becausespider-man's also.

Speaker 1 (01:32:02):
but but they don't own the rights, so it gets a
little tough.

Speaker 2 (01:32:05):
Like she's the tether or, you know, conceivably
should have been and couldconceivably still be the tether
of this entire saga.
Mm-hmm, it would be interestingbecause of Also.

Speaker 1 (01:32:17):
Ooh, I just thought of something.
What Do you possibly for like asecond in Secret Wars?
Do House of M and put IanMcKellen with?

Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
the two of them.

Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
I think that would be great, but do Evan Peters
instead of Aaron Taylor Johnsonin this one?

Speaker 2 (01:32:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:32:34):
Because Evan Peters would probably say yes before
Aaron Taylor Johnson says yes.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
Yeah, maybe.
Yeah, I think you would want todo some sort of Scarlet Witch
Magneto scene With either of theMagneto actors, but I think Ian
McKellen obviously has just theincredible amount of gravitas
and presence.
Like I said, I don't care whathappens in Doomsday.
You've got to give Ian McKellensome type of monologue.

(01:33:01):
I don't care where it is.
You've got to give Ian McKellensome type of monologue.
I don't care where it is, yougot to Because I mean that would
just be something else.

Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
Just the same way you have Harrison Ford as Red Hulk.

Speaker 2 (01:33:13):
Yeah, I mean, that's the one.
When I saw the cast list I waslike I can't believe he's going
to be back as Magneto.
You just believe he's gonna beback smagneto, like that.
I, just you, just he.
Amy kellen has like a certaingravitas gravitas and a certain
grandeur to him.

Speaker 1 (01:33:30):
That's just unmistakable, yeah like him,
just give it.
Give me a monologue, give meone last when I hear to me my
x-men from patrick stort and Iget all my childhood x-men in
the suits I think, yeah, I think, to your point.

Speaker 2 (01:33:46):
I think they, depending on what she's up to, I
think anna paquin shouldabsolutely come back if you're
gonna do gambit, you have to dorogue and you have an.

Speaker 1 (01:33:53):
Anna paquin deserves this and just tone him, tone him
down a little bit and that'swhat I said like now you can
kind of like actually make him acharacter, not a caricature.
You can actually make him acharacter, not a caricature.
You can actually make him acharacter.
I think he would enjoy that.
Yes, I would, I think so.
How old is Anna Paquin Now?
She's got to be in her 40s.
And how old is Channing Tatum?
She's 42 now.
And how old is Channing Tatum?

(01:34:14):
He's also got to be in her 40s,he's 44.
Channing Tatum's they're thesame age.

Speaker 2 (01:34:18):
They're in the same range.

Speaker 1 (01:34:20):
That's perfect.
Yeah, you have the two of themtogether.
That's your love relationshipin the X-Men.
Besides, Scott and Gene Play upthe Scott and Gene stuff Like I
would love a universe whereWolverine can't steal Gene from
Scott.
I want Hugh Jackman to gethumbled a little bit in this too
.
Just the same approach they hadin X-Men 97.

Speaker 2 (01:34:43):
Oh, put him in the brown suit from deadpool and
wolverine.
I think what would beinteresting.
As much as we say like theyshould be, they should all be
like x-men 97.
I think that wolverine thewolverine, that whatever
wolverine is in these adventuresmovie, should be the deadpool
wolverine version oh no, that Iagree with I think it would be
interesting to see himinteracting with an x-men team
again, given his back.

Speaker 1 (01:35:02):
Yes, and fought in this, even down to in the suit.

Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
Yeah, like given his backstory, yeah, I think it
would be really interesting tosee him reconcile with his guilt
, but through a different teamof x-men, right, kind of like
giving him like a second chancea chance to like be a part of
the x-men and actually likeenjoy it right, and he can like
lean, you know, credit Deadpoolfor kind of like bringing him
out of that.
I think that would be reallycool.
Yep, because, yeah, I can'timagine a world that Hugh

(01:35:29):
Jackman's not in this movie, with these other.

Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
No, deadpool and Wolverine made a billion dollars
.

Speaker 2 (01:35:34):
Of course, the two of them will be in this movie no
chance and the fact thatDeadpool's also going to shoe.

Speaker 1 (01:35:41):
I just love the idea of Ryan Reynolds shoehorning
himself into this X-Men team andthey're just like, eh, we don't
, I don't, we don't know, Idon't even know.
Oh well, he's going to be thefourth wall breaker, like he's
going to be the bridge piecebetween I would love to see some
stuff between him and She-Hulk.

Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
I would love to see some stuff between him and
She-Hulk, like they both lookand they're like wait, you can
do it too.
Yeah, I think that would bepretty good.
I think that would be reallygood Again.

Speaker 1 (01:36:09):
what did Tatiana Muslany do to anybody she?

Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
was phenomenal as She-Hulk.
I think this movie is going tohave a you know without you know
, kind of without the Guardians.

Speaker 1 (01:36:24):
Like I do think this movie is going to have a kind of
a dour tone to it.
You know, unless thethunderbolts takes, that which
is possible.

Speaker 2 (01:36:28):
Or, like you said, like if deadpool's going to be
in this thing, like obviouslydeadpool can do a lot of the
heavy lifting there.

Speaker 1 (01:36:33):
I just think the x-men in here like that x-men
universe versus.
Like I wanted the versus.
It doesn't sound like it'sgoing to be a versus.
It sounds like maybe that x-Menuniverse is going to die and
they're going to find a way toget into the.
What if Scarlet Witch is withthem?
That would be insane.
Like that, that Earth's versionof Wanda's grown up.

Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
I think Beast is probably the conduit to getting
that team, which?

Speaker 1 (01:36:55):
makes him a part of the Illuminati, instead of
Professor X, because I thinkhe's too old.

Speaker 2 (01:36:58):
Yeah, I think Beast is probably the conduit that
gets, because he's alreadyfamiliar you want to talk about?

Speaker 1 (01:37:04):
mental characters that can deal with.
Reed Richards Beast is rightthere too.
Oh dear, oh dear.

Speaker 2 (01:37:10):
Get him in a Sentinel .

Speaker 1 (01:37:11):
Yeah, question mark.

Speaker 2 (01:37:16):
No, I think this movie as much as people want to.
You know, maybe people are kindof crushing this movie a little
bit as like nostalgia bait orwhatever.

Speaker 1 (01:37:25):
There's narrative potential here.
There's actual narrativepotential.

Speaker 2 (01:37:29):
I think, again, it's weird.
It's weird the publicperception from Infinity War to
this movie in the sense that, like, everyone was like all
Russos all the time.
And now everyone's like, oh,they're bringing the Russos back
.
Oh, they're bringing RobertDowney Jr.
Everyone's like, oh, they'rebringing the russo's back.
Oh, they're bringing robertdowney jr back.
Oh, they're bringing the x-menback.

Speaker 1 (01:37:47):
Like all this stuff is probably gonna be pretty good
I just have this vision thatthe x-men stuff is gonna be
exceptional, like especiallypost x-men 97.
They know how the x-men shouldbe moving in live action.
Yeah, I have a feeling theyknow that, like we got something
absolutely incredible ready torock, like we got something
that's gonna be just absurdready to go.

(01:38:08):
This is gonna be a three-hourmovie.
I don't see any world wherethis movie clocks in at 220.
No shot, no, no, no shot.
This has got to be a three-hourmovie.
Both movies are probably goingto be three hours yeah, I would
say so.

Speaker 2 (01:38:19):
um, yeah, I mean.
And then the downy thing isstill the thing that I just
can't wrap my head around, whypeople are so down on it, downey
on it, sorry, that's my bad, like the guy's, not phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (01:38:35):
An Oscar-winning actor.

Speaker 2 (01:38:38):
Can he play a villain ?
Yeah, did you guys watchOppenheimer?
He was the worst person in thatmovie.

Speaker 1 (01:38:44):
He was the worst person and it's the same.
What's the line?
He said you know, whatever youknow is out in the front.
He said power stays.

Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
Like that's, dr Doom, like that's his whole thing
Like I think people are justafraid into Dr Doom.

Speaker 1 (01:38:59):
Acosta.
Nah, they just didn't watch off.
I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (01:39:02):
Yeah, I don't understand what the thought
process is here.
Yeah, it's a wild swing torecast him and bring him back.

Speaker 1 (01:39:14):
You know what would be insane for Fantastic Four If
at the end Reed can't save them.
But then out of the woodwork, robert Downey Jr's Doom comes
out and creates the life raft tosave them over to the new
universe.
And then Owatu, the WatcherJeffrey Wright.

Speaker 2 (01:39:32):
Oh yeah, I should have mentioned him.
I think we're going to getOwatu the Watcher.

Speaker 1 (01:39:35):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, a live-action version of him, that
would be incredible.
I think that just makes themost sense too.
But yeah, I feel like you know, imagine it's Doom's the one
that saves them from thatuniverse.
Oh, that would be sensational.
And then, like they get to theMCU.
First of all, who are you?
Second of all, who's this guy?
You know what I was alsothinking about?

(01:39:57):
A fun approach to this movie.
You take Dr Doom into all theheroes.
He's there to help all of them.
And then you slowly see, likesure He'd be, like I don't think
he's as good of a person as youguys all think.
And then it just cause againthe whole villain of this movie
to fight are the other earthsthat are coming?

(01:40:18):
That's fabulous.
And then that all you'renarratively doing is saying like
all right, you're just kind ofseeing this guy like he must.
It's like the grand scaleMysterio thing from from no,
from from no way home or fromfar from home.
It's like he's presentinghimself as like I saved the
Fantastic Four and then, likethe Fantastic Four trying, they
probably remove the FantasticFour away and doom removes them,

(01:40:41):
and it's just like they'renever gonna be able to tell
anybody that you know that I wasevil and am I evil?
And then again they're going tolearn the truth and Namor's
going to be like well, I'm justgoing to go with him because he
actually is going to save themultiverse.

Speaker 2 (01:40:54):
Oh, that's fantastic.
Whoa, oh man, I love that.

Speaker 1 (01:41:00):
That's a great call I don't know if that's what's
gonna happen.
I don't think so.
Just from what feige said, Ithink it's gonna be a little bit
more direct, but again thatjust paints him as a hero.
And that's what secret warslike time runs out.
In secret wars, like, obviouslydr doom's the villain, but it's
not as simple.
As he's the villain, it's likehe.
I'm sorry to break it to you hedid it, he did save the
multiverse yeah, yeah that'sfascinating.

(01:41:24):
Maybe he tried to tries to takeloki's power instead of the
beyonders powers in this movie Ithink that's really possible.
I think that's entirelypossible um, probably tries to
steal the vibrate, or he'sprobably like, in order to save
the multiverse.
I need a few things, y'all Ineed some vibranium, I need the
infinity stones and I need tobecome a god yeah, or maybe it's

(01:41:46):
one of those things where hemaybe fails to get Loki's powers
and then he that's when heflips and all of them are like,
oh shoot, well, I don't thinkhe's going to fail to get the
powers.

Speaker 2 (01:41:57):
He's got to turn into god, emperor doom yeah, I mean,
maybe that's how doomsday endswith him kind of rewriting
reality and the worlds areending and again they can't save
it and that if he ends up withLoki's abilities and can rewrite
reality, that's where you canliterally reinsert the Scarlet
Witch where she's like hold on.

Speaker 1 (01:42:17):
I don't even think it's that.
I think she's with him to startand you find out that he got
her in every single universe andshe's the one that made the
boom in every single universe.
And then the main, the Nexusbeing main 616, prime timeline.
Scarlet Witch is likeabsolutely not.

Speaker 2 (01:42:37):
No, no no, no, no, no , no, no, no, no no more mutants
no more Dr Doom.

Speaker 1 (01:42:41):
No more Dr Doom.
No more Dr Doom.
No more Dr Doom.
No more Dr Doom.

Speaker 2 (01:42:46):
It's.
My good friend Thanos once saidno more Dr Doom.
I think there's a lot of coolthings this movie can bring and
I think people are overreactingand over kind of like.
Not overanalyzing, but they'rejust like they underestimate how
sick this stuff is.
Just gonna look on a screen.

Speaker 1 (01:43:06):
You know what I mean.
Yeah, alan Silvestri's back todo the score.
The Russos are back, who weregods to everybody, but
everybody's now shut up.

Speaker 2 (01:43:14):
Yeah, when you look at, the list of like best Marvel
movies.
Their stuff is at or near thetop.

Speaker 1 (01:43:19):
This movie is going to make $10 trillion.

Speaker 2 (01:43:29):
Like Captain America and the Winter Soldier, infinity
War, civil War, avengers, endgame all done by the Russos.
They've done literally the bestthings outside of you know
outside of and including theGuardians movies.
Black Panther, like the Russomovies, are in the pantheon of
Marvel films, so everyone relax.

Speaker 1 (01:43:45):
Yeah, you're getting Robert Downey Jr back and
properly motivated.
Yeah, as a villain, pedroPascal's there, like there's a
lot of things, like Pedro Pascalbeing, you know, one of the
most famous people on the planet.
Yeah, go down this cast list ofall the like just A-plus list
actors that are going to be inthis movie and that's not even
the whole cast, right, I thinkthey just do the same thing

(01:44:08):
again, they just do the 27 thingagain, and then they just
announced like again, like FemkeJensen, halle Berry, sean
Ashmore, and then you go intoChris Pratt, chris Pratt, paul.

Speaker 2 (01:44:21):
Bettany, paul Bettany .
Paul Bettany, again yep.
Paul Bettany, again Yep.
The greatest actor he's everworked with.

Speaker 1 (01:44:30):
He's my goat.
He really had us thinking AlPacino was going to be the Chris
Toto, and I was in.
I thought Reed Richards wasgoing to be in this.
I think they do the.
I was thinking about this forthe Council of Reeds.
You do, obviously, yohanGriffin, miles Teller as the
maker, pedro Pascal.
You do the guy from the 90s aswell too.

(01:44:52):
You get him in there, you payhim a little homage and that's
your John Krasinski, right, andthat's the five of them.
That's your Council of Reeds.
That'd be so fun.

Speaker 2 (01:45:01):
Miles Teller's like miles teller turns to john
cruz's didn't get turned intopasta.
I'm a dip.

Speaker 1 (01:45:06):
I'm a diff, I'm from earth.
839 938.
Why are you?
On this council, you getshredded by the scarlet you're
the dumbest of the smart readson this council idiot.
Then you give away black bolt'spowers you fool.
Yeah, he would be the type ofread richards to say you fool,
what are you doing?
I?
I think Miles Teller is goingto.
I think he'll say yes.

Speaker 2 (01:45:27):
Not if Glenn Powell says yes first.
Just kidding.
To what Playing Reed Richards.

Speaker 1 (01:45:32):
Yo, miles Teller would punch Dude.
It's like the Christopher Smithand Bloodsport thing.
He's you but better.
Miles Teller really thought hewas going to.
I watched the Gorge.
That was a pretty fun actionhorror thing Scott Derrickson
directed that.

Speaker 2 (01:45:49):
That's cool.
He's like wait, I was supposedto be the guy in Top Gun.
Yeah, nope, it's me.
I'm Glenn Powell.
I'm gonna do a movie abouttornadoes.

Speaker 1 (01:45:57):
Yeah, wait, don't act like it's not a franchise.

Speaker 2 (01:46:02):
I guess it is.
Yeah, I can't wait to see whatAvengers does.
Man, I'm really really, reallycurious.

Speaker 1 (01:46:09):
What did they say?
If Deadpool and Wolverine is a7 out of 10, like Doomsday is a
9 out of 10, secret Wars is a 10out of 10 on like the WTF scale
, yeah, so I just I don't thinkthey're going pull any.
Why not?
Why pull any?
Stop for secret wars, likebankrupt disney, like they're
just gonna make it.
You're gonna make 10 billiondollars.

(01:46:30):
What's the youth doomed, or?
Uh, secret wars legitimatelyhas the potential to be the
highest grossing film of alltime and what actor is gonna say
no?
that's what I'm saying benaffleck ben affleck is the only
one that's gonna no, I, I'mnever doing this again.
But who else?

Speaker 2 (01:46:46):
out of any of the people that have played.

Speaker 1 (01:46:47):
Wait, if Matt Damon plays that one character that he
always plays in the Thor moviesfor some odd reason, Ben
Affleck might say yes.

Speaker 2 (01:46:57):
It's true.
Bring Johnny Depp back as theVanisher, not Johnny.

Speaker 1 (01:47:04):
Depp, not Johnny Depp , brad Pitt.

Speaker 2 (01:47:05):
Same difference.

Speaker 1 (01:47:07):
No, it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:47:08):
No, it's actually not Bring Johnny Depp back as
Captain Jack Sparrow.

Speaker 1 (01:47:13):
Tron Ares will return in Avengers Tombstone Cloak and
Dagger.

Speaker 2 (01:47:19):
You know I love me some Cloak and Dagger.

Speaker 1 (01:47:21):
How I feel about Agents of SHIELD.
How do you feel about Cloak andDagger?
How I feel about Agents ofShield.
You feel about Cloak and Dagger.
I love.

Speaker 2 (01:47:24):
Cloak and Dagger.
I need them in Daredevil,season 2 stat.
We saw them work together inX-Men 97.

Speaker 1 (01:47:33):
I just watched those last three episodes, like
literally two nights ago, I feellike once a month.
I'll throw on the last threeepisodes of X-Men 97 and I'm
like there's no way.
This is this good.
This is the best superherostorytelling.

Speaker 2 (01:47:46):
I've ever seen Daredevil and Cloak and Dagger
helped each other out in X-Men97.
They could get together inDaredevil.

Speaker 1 (01:47:52):
Why was the Silver Samurai just like, hmm, the
world went dark and he was just, the world went back on.
A few days later, he still wason the same rooftop.

Speaker 2 (01:48:02):
Days later, he still was on the same rooftop like
he's like interesting, interesting, who could, who
could have done this?
And we need to go back to whathappened to that nuclear power
plant with omega red.

Speaker 1 (01:48:08):
Nothing good, surely happened no, no, they saw the
light.
The one science is like, ohdear omega, oh no, omega red's
out.

Speaker 2 (01:48:18):
Omega red was like excellent.
Now I can go fight Wolverine.

Speaker 1 (01:48:21):
Alright, let's just get some funny characters.
William back as Wraith.
Yep, as Wraith, john Wraith.
You're John Wraith from MarvelComics, aren't you?

Speaker 2 (01:48:31):
Oh, that's probably another person that would say no
, because he presumably said noto Deadpool.
Wolverine was Liev Schreiber.
Yeah, would he.
I mean maybe they throw acouple more zeros in the
paycheck.
They got the money for it andhe's like, actually I do like
playing Sabertooth.

Speaker 1 (01:48:47):
Yeah, he said, wait a minute.
I'm not just the voice of NFLfilms anymore bring back X-Men
Origins, deadpool dog that hejust sneaks off for a second,
like when the multiverse iscollapsing.
He just sees him, he justmurders him real quick.
You know, I had to uh, henrycavill's wolverine yeah the

(01:49:09):
cavalry, the cavalry.

Speaker 2 (01:49:11):
Remember that.
That was why yeah, that wascrazy, that was just leaving.

Speaker 1 (01:49:14):
I was like wait a second no, don't they got to get
the guy from saturday, thesaturday night movie to play
wolverine?

Speaker 2 (01:49:20):
he's like five, four I was like wait, henry cavill,
maybe should just be Wolverineactually no, you know what I was
like.
Hold on, Hold on JenniferLawrence back.
She's never doing it.
You know what?
If you could convince her thatshe wouldn't have to put the
makeup on?
No, put her in the white suit.

Speaker 1 (01:49:37):
Put her in the white suit.
Isn't there some movie thatisn't listed?
That's in between Secret Warsand Infinity, or Doomsday and
Secret Wars oh, I don't knowwhich should just be the next
Deadpool and Wolverine movie.

Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
I don't know.
Bring back Andy Serkis as Klaue.

Speaker 1 (01:49:55):
Okay, I mean he's dead but, In between now and
when Doomsday comes out, we needto do an episode of, like, the
best pairings that could come ofthis, and when Doomsday comes
out, we need to do an episode ofthe best pairings that can come
of this.
Sure and like.

Speaker 2 (01:50:06):
Hayley Atwell's in this movie right.

Speaker 1 (01:50:08):
Yeah, her agent accidentally leaked it, said it
which means she's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (01:50:13):
Oh, is she gonna be, captain Carter?

Speaker 1 (01:50:14):
Of course she's gonna be Captain Carter.
The MCU has a hard-on forCaptain Carter.
I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (01:50:20):
Oh, you know who would be a cool character to
show up in live action Kihori.

Speaker 1 (01:50:26):
That would be fun.
I can genuinely see them doingthat.
You know who wouldn't be a coolcharacter to see in live action
?
The bird creature of DarcyLewis and Howard the Duck.
Nope, we're actually good onthat.
Whiplash, whiplash, whiplashand Guy somehow teamingiplash,
whiplash and Gia somehow teamingup, because they were in that
one facility in Russia WithJustin Hammer man.

(01:50:49):
I really wish Also Samuel LJackson no ifs, ands or buts
going to be in this movie, evenwhen he's out, even when I'm out
.

Speaker 2 (01:50:56):
I'm in, he's in, remember when I fought all those
Skrulls.

Speaker 1 (01:51:00):
Oh you know, it would be an incredible bit.
Imagine the x-men get to himand they're just like who are
you?
Nick fury?
And they were like we thoughtnick fury was white him.

Speaker 2 (01:51:10):
Him linking up with roadie again after secret
invasion would just be hilariouswhich one are you?
Remember when we fought allthose scrolls.
That was wild, that was wildtime, the mcu just forgot about
the scrolls.

Speaker 1 (01:51:22):
No, daredevil born again.
Thought about the Skrulls,never mind.

Speaker 2 (01:51:26):
Yeah, the Turg Barreton stand-in.

Speaker 1 (01:51:28):
Come on, man, he had a sad arc.
He did have a sad arc.

Speaker 2 (01:51:32):
Interesting that you didn't throw any Eternals in
there.

Speaker 1 (01:51:36):
I know what's happening.

Speaker 2 (01:51:39):
Oh, how did I leave out Eresham?

Speaker 1 (01:51:43):
You know what's the worst part about you saying that
there's not a 0% chance that hecould show up, which pisses me
off.
Maybe that's what he does.
Maybe Doom takes out theCelestials to get his powers.
That would be wild and it wouldbe plausible.
Maybe he goes to Tiamat andtakes Tiamat's power from him.

Speaker 2 (01:52:04):
And then he fights Erisham.

Speaker 1 (01:52:05):
Yeah, because Erisham's like my boy.
They killed my boy again.

Speaker 2 (01:52:08):
That appears untrue.
He does the Thanos thing, butit's Erisham instead.
You're like, oh shit.

Speaker 1 (01:52:16):
Keneil Nanjiami is Kingo, the main character of
Avengers Secret Wars.

Speaker 2 (01:52:21):
Yeah, no Eternals.

Speaker 1 (01:52:22):
I just I know they're never coming back.
I just besides Dane Whitman.
I think they'll get him insomething Shit.
He might not even come back.
At this point.
That Midnight Suns movie justhas ultimate potential if you
just have Benedict Cumberbatchbe the one that leads that movie
, with Mahershala Ali being thetwo leads, with Dane Whitman,
werewolf by Night.
Who else?

(01:52:42):
The Punisher?
We were like just find a way toget the Punisher there, because
it would be absolutelyhilarious.

Speaker 2 (01:52:48):
The Punisher should be in Avengers.

Speaker 1 (01:52:51):
In the War Machine armor.

Speaker 2 (01:52:53):
No, he's just the Punisher.

Speaker 1 (01:52:55):
What are you going to do over there?
What do you do Somebody's like?
What are you going to do with?

Speaker 2 (01:53:01):
that gun.
What do you do?
What do you do?
I do not have time for yourcandy-ass hero.
Shit, nobody asked you.

Speaker 1 (01:53:07):
I specifically didn't say Daredevil on purpose.
I do not think he's going to bein these movies.
Nobody asked you, Frank.

Speaker 2 (01:53:14):
Just Punisher.
Squaring up with Thor wouldjust be funny.

Speaker 1 (01:53:17):
He just points the gun at Thor Thor's like is this
guy for real?

Speaker 2 (01:53:20):
Thor just bends it.
Nah, this guy for real, thorjust bends it, nah, man, that
was my favorite that was myfavorite AR-15.

Speaker 1 (01:53:25):
Now I have to bring out my second favorite AR-15.

Speaker 2 (01:53:27):
I have to bring out my shotgun bends the shotguns
this sucks, man.
Aha, this is an adamantiumshotgun, ooh okay.

Speaker 1 (01:53:35):
I'll give you, I'll give you three characters that
are new, that can be in thismovie.
That would make a lot of sense.
Yes, movie that would make alot of sense.
Yes, new characters hyperion oh, because I need, I need the
panel of when.
Hyperion and thor, oh, you knowwhat they might do.
They might just trade offhyperion with century and still
do the same thing.
Where thor takes hyper, takecentury under his wing, he's

(01:53:58):
like a sense, yeah, two godshere amongst these mortals,
right, and like they become dudebros together and then they
take on the Beyonders in the end.
And then also Andarmus' BlackSwan, dooms, cult of insane
fighting force.

Speaker 2 (01:54:16):
Yep, I think Nobu would be cool.

Speaker 1 (01:54:19):
Who Nobu?
I thought you said Nobu.

Speaker 2 (01:54:22):
Or Nobu, that's fine.
You said Nobu or Nobu, that'sfine too.
Nova would be cool, I think Iknow she's technically been in a
Marvel movie, but I think Magicwould work really well.

Speaker 1 (01:54:35):
Yeah, maybe on that X-Men team, as like Colossus is
gone if this is his littlesister that took on the mantle.

Speaker 2 (01:54:43):
Yeah, those would all be great additions, I think.

Speaker 1 (01:54:46):
Yeah, I'm trying to think of anybody else.
I mean, we're dipping into alot of Secret Wars territory too
.
Like I said, the Eric Banathing.

Speaker 2 (01:54:55):
I think Doomsday is going to be a little bit more
focused.

Speaker 1 (01:54:59):
Yeah, it's going to be a little bit more of an
actual film, banneray.

Speaker 2 (01:55:02):
Bill, just kidding, that would be kind of fun.

Speaker 1 (01:55:03):
Yeah, it's gonna be like a little bit more of like
an actual film.
I'm just kidding that would bekind of fun.
Just let the Russos do likethis last.

Speaker 2 (01:55:08):
Thor's like what in the world?

Speaker 1 (01:55:10):
it's either George Miller does the last Thor movie
and he takes it seriously, orthe Russos do it.
Just give Chris Hemsworth theright send off, man.

Speaker 2 (01:55:21):
Thor sees Beta Ray Bell and he's like what the what
is going on here?

Speaker 1 (01:55:29):
I do like that idea of the evil Avengers.
So you do Hydra Cap, you doNatasha, if she never left the
Red Room.

Speaker 2 (01:55:35):
What about Blue Marvel?

Speaker 1 (01:55:37):
Denzel.
Is he too old?
I think he's too famous to playa guy named Blue Marvel.

Speaker 2 (01:55:42):
But Blue Marvel's like Superman.

Speaker 1 (01:55:45):
They already have Century.
Yeah, but Blue.

Speaker 2 (01:55:47):
Marvel's like, and they have.

Speaker 1 (01:55:48):
Ant-Man, what more do you need?

Speaker 2 (01:55:49):
That's true.
I think Blue Marvel would besick, though.

Speaker 1 (01:55:52):
Blue Marvel would be interesting.
I like the Kaori.
I think that would be cool.

Speaker 2 (01:55:56):
I think they'll find a way to get her in.
I think that character's again.

Speaker 1 (01:56:00):
I really hate what the oh, adam Warlock is probably
going to find his way in here.
Oh Get Will Poulter back for alittle bit.

Speaker 2 (01:56:08):
He comes back when he's a little more grown.

Speaker 1 (01:56:12):
Mentally grown, he's a little bit more like.

Speaker 2 (01:56:14):
A little more like Adam Warlock, right, a little
more Adam Warlock-y.

Speaker 1 (01:56:18):
Yeah, he comes back and he's like am the perfect man
well, I think that Doom's gonnahave his own twisted version of
the Avengers from themultiverse that he handpicked
together like maybe you savethat for Secret Wars, but it's
Hydra Cap.
You do Thunderstrike.
Thor from the Ultimates.
You do Natasha she never leftthe Red Room, you do you just do

(01:56:40):
Ronin.
And then you do Maestro and youhave your sick twisted version
of the.
And then you do Maestro and youhave your sick twisted version
of the event.
And then Doom instead of Ironman.
Everybody's like what the f***?

Speaker 2 (01:56:50):
The hell.
Yeah, now that I'm thinkingabout it, we are going to get an
Iron man versus Doctor Doomthing in Secret.

Speaker 1 (01:56:57):
Wars.
That frame is going to beinfamous.

Speaker 2 (01:57:01):
Yeah, it's going to be crazy.
Renner's gonna, it's gonna,it's gonna be.
Yeah, it's gonna be crazy.
Renner not in this.

Speaker 1 (01:57:07):
Oh, he can't act anymore really yeah, I think he,
I think they're letting himtime to heal, like I think
that's.
I think that's probably what itis like I think they might
relegate.

Speaker 2 (01:57:15):
I think they might also might relegate him to kind
of being like a nick fury typeof character, yeah like for like
, maybe for like, maybe for likethe young avengers though.
Yeah, yeah, but like for like, maybe for like the Young
Avengers though.
Yeah, yeah, where, likeRenner's the guy that like kind
of like I know we joked about itbeing um what's his name?
Star-lord, not Star-Lord.

Speaker 1 (01:57:31):
That's from the leaks .

Speaker 2 (01:57:32):
Freaking.
Uh, what's his name From BlackPanther?

Speaker 1 (01:57:36):
Oh, m'baku.
Yeah, leader of the youngavengers, I think.
I think hawkeye would work wellwith that too.
Yeah, let kate be the leader ofthe of the young avengers.
You get.
You get patriot, who I'm stillupset wasn't in captain america
4.
Um, obviously the twins.
You can do heroes crusade.

(01:57:56):
The only thing that's gonnasuck is you just can't do
nathaniel richards, like that'sthe one thing that you kind of
but you don't need to.
You have, I think you haveenough characters.
You could swap him out forIronheart.

Speaker 2 (01:58:07):
Sure, yeah, I think so.
That makes a lot of sense.
Alright, that's it.

Speaker 1 (01:58:14):
That's a veteran's talk, bring back the bone guy
from the woods in X3.

Speaker 2 (01:58:19):
Marrow.

Speaker 1 (01:58:20):
Was that Marrow?

Speaker 2 (01:58:21):
I think it was supposed to be Marrow.
Bring back the guy that you cutoff his limbs.
His limbs grow back and then hegets kicked in the balls.
You know what?
Maybe Magneto was wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:58:32):
Maybe mutants aren't the next.

Speaker 2 (01:58:33):
No, don't do this, don't do this, because some of
those guys they were droppinglike flies in the X3.

Speaker 1 (01:58:38):
Some of them got a rough deal.

Speaker 2 (01:58:40):
Oh, what can you do?
Oh, I can bend metal to my will.
What can you do?

Speaker 1 (01:58:45):
I can literally take the poles of the earth and flip
them.
I just have the atmosphere atmy will.

Speaker 2 (01:58:51):
What do you do?
I can shoot one of the spikesout of my arm, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (01:58:55):
Cool, I turn into a porcupine.
Sick power, sick power, bro're,you're the d-class villain.
What did they say they were?
Yo x x-men.
The last stand is an absurdmovie.
He said he's the first.
Why didn't they just say omegalevel in that movie?
What did they say?
He's a class e?

(01:59:16):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (01:59:18):
yeah, yeah just say omega level, omega threat
detected yo, I love kel Grammeras Beast.

Speaker 1 (01:59:24):
Yeah, he's great.
I love his introduction in themovie too, yeah he's tremendous,
he's great.

Speaker 2 (01:59:31):
That's why I'm glad he's back for this.
I told him to put him in aSentinel in this movie For no
reason.

Speaker 1 (01:59:36):
I'm literally trying to think of all Marvel lore Like
who's the funniest characterthat you can put in these movies
?

Speaker 2 (01:59:41):
Oh, it's got to be an X-Men character, because they
all are just insane.

Speaker 1 (01:59:45):
Some of those Spider-Man characters would be
pretty solid.
Big Wheel, you've got to get JJonah Jameson in here, right?
The world's ending.
The last two worlds arecolliding.
He's like this is J JonahJameson, something to do with
Spider-Man?
Even Peter just stops for asecond.
Peter's like come on, man, thisis somehow Spider-Man's fault,
come on.
He's like are we serious rightnow?

(02:00:07):
Man Miles Morales could also.

Speaker 2 (02:00:10):
I think they'd save it, unless you're going to talk
me into a world where animatedMiles Morales shows up somehow.

Speaker 1 (02:00:18):
And in a live action version.
Yeah, yes Again.
A live action version.
Yeah, yes Again.
Why pull any stops for SecretWars?

Speaker 2 (02:00:24):
My bad everybody.
There was a where to run.

Speaker 1 (02:00:29):
There was a live action Miles.
Uh-oh, I'm literally trying tothink of any character that you
can Peter Dinklage meets PeterDinklage, bolivar Trask meets
Trask and Etrid the Dwarf.
Yep, how many times can you dothat?
You could do it with ChrisEvans Bring him.

Speaker 2 (02:00:49):
Uh, what's his name?
I can't my mind's blinking onhis name right now.

Speaker 1 (02:00:54):
Oh my god, anthony Hopkins, bring him back as Odin
Sylvester Stallone from theGuardians movies.

Speaker 2 (02:01:02):
Him being the only character from Guardians of the
Galaxy to show up in Super Wars.

Speaker 1 (02:01:05):
He's the representation.
It would be hilarious.
Lawrence Fishburne, goliath,goliath.

Speaker 2 (02:01:11):
But actually make him Goliath.

Speaker 1 (02:01:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:01:13):
Hank Pym.

Speaker 1 (02:01:14):
Which Hank Pym.

Speaker 2 (02:01:15):
The new Hank Pym, the old Hank Pym, the one that
loves ants.

Speaker 1 (02:01:19):
Yeah, bro, he took on Kang with no issue.
Kang's tackled.

Speaker 2 (02:01:24):
He's tackled.
He loved Ants in that thirdmovie.

Speaker 1 (02:01:29):
Bring back the Red Skull, no bring back.

Speaker 2 (02:01:31):
No, they did that already.

Speaker 1 (02:01:32):
Bring back Walter Goggins from Ant-Man and the
Wasp.

Speaker 2 (02:01:36):
Everyone thought he was going to be a character too.
Yeah, no shot.

Speaker 1 (02:01:39):
He just wasn't.
Sylvie actually probably mightbe in Stephanie DiMartino.

Speaker 2 (02:01:45):
That'd be great as an actual real life chance to be
in these movies.
Yeah, I would love that.

Speaker 1 (02:01:51):
I'm trying to get funny of who can be in this
movie Jimmy Woo.

Speaker 2 (02:01:56):
There's a non-zero chance that Jimmy Woo is
actually in this movie.

Speaker 1 (02:01:58):
I want him to be like a lieutenant for Doom in
Battleworld.
I want him to be like alieutenant for Doom in
Battleworld.

Speaker 2 (02:02:05):
I want him to be like one of the cops.
The dog from Hawkeye no don'tput the dog in Werewolf by Night
.
Any one of those weirdos fromthat Werewolf by Night thing
would be tremendous.
The axe guy, axe guy, theScottish guy.

Speaker 1 (02:02:21):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (02:02:22):
He'd be good.

Speaker 1 (02:02:24):
Nobody from Thor Love and Thunder Nah.

Speaker 2 (02:02:29):
Nah, keep that away.

Speaker 1 (02:02:31):
I can't believe they wasted Emilia Clarke, because
genuinely, I really think theywanted her to be one of the
focal points for this thing.
And then they were like wait, did we just waste one of the
greatest television actors ofall time?
And they were like I think wedid, man, I think we did, man, I
think we did.
What a joke, what a joke.

Speaker 2 (02:02:48):
Peace speaker.
What a joke.
Put the Punisher in Secret Wars.
Find a way, morph.

Speaker 1 (02:02:53):
Morph would be cool.
Morph would be an issue.
Echo, nah, nah, I'm telling youthere's a subplot in this movie
and in the next movie.
That would be incredible.
If you know anything about theearly days Incredibles no, but
I'm getting there, theIncredibles adjacent.
There's a subplot.
It's not a subplot, it's just athing where Agatha Harkness

(02:03:14):
watches Franklin Richards'Babysitter.
That would be one of thefunniest subplots that we can
get.
She's already babysitting who Wplots that we can get.
She's already babysitting whoWiccan Wiccan's with the Young
Avengers.
He's fine, he's a teenager.

Speaker 2 (02:03:25):
No he's with Agatha Harkness.

Speaker 1 (02:03:28):
No, he's good.
Don't tell me that onBattleworld you get Catherine
Han for 30 seconds to be theirbabysitter.
That'd be pretty good.
She's a ghost now, not inBattleworld.
You can be whatever you want inBattleworld.

Speaker 2 (02:03:41):
You can be whatever you want to be.

Speaker 1 (02:03:42):
Jasper Sitwell will return and be the best in the
world.
No.
He got thrown out of a car bythe Winter Soldier he did.
Bucky was really a menace backin the day.
He was yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:03:55):
Alright, we gotta go.

Speaker 1 (02:03:56):
Yeah, ti will return.

Speaker 2 (02:03:58):
I told you they should bring him back.

Speaker 1 (02:04:00):
Just him specifically .

Speaker 2 (02:04:01):
Yeah him and David Dastmalchian can be there.

Speaker 1 (02:04:04):
What about Michael Pena?
Are the three of them?

Speaker 2 (02:04:06):
Yeah, the whole Ant-Man heist crew can be there.

Speaker 1 (02:04:09):
Modok will return and MODOK, I'm really going to
scour throughout like where do Istart?
Blade, truthfully, is where Ishould start.

Speaker 2 (02:04:20):
They should bring Wesley Snipes back just for so.
Like Doom can like, doom willlike shoot a laser at him.

Speaker 1 (02:04:24):
He's like motherfucker, are you out of
your mind?
Who did you save the F-bomb for?
I was genuinely.
Oh, deadpool, do you?
No, no, you have to bait andswitch that, like you have to
have Deadpool trying to get oneout, and then it's like Kamala
to take that away from him.
Professor X Yusuf Khan willreturn.
He should Well, he probablymight.

(02:04:46):
Just a little scene where she'sback with the family.

Speaker 2 (02:04:48):
I enjoyed that.
And Daredevil's there Owning upon that promise To go have
dinner with them.

Speaker 1 (02:04:54):
Yeah, mr Murdock.

Speaker 2 (02:04:56):
The famous Kamala.
Why did?
Did you think that was a weird?

Speaker 1 (02:04:59):
line delivery I thought it was Bro was glazing
his own daughter, heimdall.
I would love Heimdall to comeback.
Heimdall would be cool as partof Doom's crew in the new world
Doom's crew.
Doom's got a crew.

Speaker 2 (02:05:14):
Don't do that to Idris Elba.
Don't put him on Doom's crew.

Speaker 1 (02:05:19):
He's in Valhalla.
Now Anything can happen inSecret Wars.

Speaker 2 (02:05:22):
He's in Valhalla, anything can happen to be fair,
he probably shouldn't have goneto Valhalla.
Who, heimdall?
What did he do?
He got blitzed by Thanos.
Why doesn't that get you inValhalla?
Because it wasn't really afight it was a massacre.

Speaker 1 (02:05:37):
That is crazy to think that Idris Elba was in the
MCU.
You look at the actors thatjust have gone through the MCU,
he was good, he was great.

Speaker 2 (02:05:45):
Jane Foster, jane Fonda, that's a pretty good bit.

Speaker 1 (02:05:51):
Like Jeff Bridges has gone through here, ed Norton
has gone through here, mickeyRourke has gone through here,
anthony Hopkins has gone throughhere.
Bring Natalie Portman back asMighty Thor.
She might actually do that, shemight.

Speaker 2 (02:06:08):
God.

Speaker 1 (02:06:09):
Guy Pearce.

Speaker 2 (02:06:10):
Bring back Ryan Reynolds as his character from
Blade 2.

Speaker 1 (02:06:13):
Yes, See, now you're getting it.
Now you're getting it.
Peter 1, Peter 2, Peter number3.

Speaker 2 (02:06:20):
All right, it's time to go.
Let's get out of here.
That's it.
That's time to go.
Let's get out of here.

(02:06:41):
pod.
On those two platforms.
Next week I can't believe we'resaying this already, but it's
going to be our Daredevil BornAgain Season 1 review next week.
This means something to me, man.
I can't believe it's alreadyover.
Feels like just yesterday wewere like ah, Daredevil's coming
out.
Now it's over.
God, it's been great.
It's been really good so far.
Episode 8 is out tomorrow.
Yes, episode 9 is out nextTuesday.

(02:07:02):
8 and 9 are done by the newshowrunners and directors, and
that's why the Punisher's inthem, so we'll see.
I'm super keen to see wherethis season ends up.
We've already seen some setphotos from next season, looking
pretty good.

Speaker 1 (02:07:19):
That suit.
It looks incredible that blacksuit Somewhere.
Tony McGuire said did somebodysay black suit, bring back black
suit.
Spider-man Is brand new.
We didn't talk about.
This is brand new day.
Going to be a multiverse movieor a street level movie.

Speaker 2 (02:07:35):
I hope it's a street level movie.
I think it's going to end upbeing a multiverse movie,
because Sony can't helpthemselves.

Speaker 1 (02:07:41):
A Sony can't help themselves and B the last movie
made a bajillion dollars, so whywould you just not bring the
two of them back and also, apparently D'Onofrio said
Kingpin can't be in theSpider-Man movie.
I think he's horribly confused.
Somebody made a good point thatwhen Battleworld takes place,
he should be the king of NewYork, like he should be like,
and like the defenders are likeworking for Fisk, and then you

(02:08:06):
get all your defenders back inlike one scene.
That's how Secret Wars shouldwork.
The only problem with that isnarrative wise.
They're going to need somecentral main character to really
drive them through everything, and it could be Spider-Man that
does it.
It could be Tom Holland is theone you want For Secret Wars.

Speaker 2 (02:08:22):
Yeah, that would make sense.

Speaker 1 (02:08:25):
You just need somebody narratively strong.
That's got to be the maincharacter of this whole thing.
Spider-man makes a lot of sense.

Speaker 2 (02:08:33):
Yeah, that's it.
We're going to talk aboutDaredevil next week From me,
from the Come on man, From theEthan Hunt of the podcast.

Speaker 1 (02:08:43):
I just need you to trust me one last time.
Just trust him, just trust yeah, he saved the world at Google
times.

Speaker 2 (02:08:49):
Why are you still hunting this man?
Just trust him.

Speaker 1 (02:08:53):
He's never not saved the world and Angela Bassett
still wants him arrested.
Chill out, yeah chill out, man.

Speaker 2 (02:09:00):
All right, guys, We'll see you next week for
Daredevil Born Again, which isagain kind of crazy to say that.
But that's it.
Until then, goodbye, Peace.
