It's the Infinite
Podcast.
Go tell your friends.
It's the Infinite Podcast, myjourney never ends.
It's the Infinite Podcast withRob and Court the Cube.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Hello everybody and
welcome back to another episode
of the Project Infinite Podcast, the podcast covering the
infinite and ever-expandingmultiverse of fandom, from
movies, comics, tv shows, videogames.
We've got you covered.
I'm Rob, I'm here, as alwayswith Court and Court, we got
something fun loaded up today.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yup, we're drafting.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
We're doing a draft a
proper draft.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
I don't think we've
ever done a proper draft before.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yes, we're going to
do a proper 2025 draft.
Talk to Roger Goodell, he wasall good with it.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Talk to the
commissioner, he's on board.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
The 2025 Marvel
Mutants draft, with the X-Men
being kind of in the forefrontof a lot of things right now.
Specifically, avengers Doomsdayis coming up, jason Stree is
going to be doing the X-Menmovie, which I think is a great
choice, and then just I thinkthey talked about that they want
to cast kind of like lesserknown younger actors to kind of
(01:11):
fill out the roster, which Ithink all those, all those boxes
that we're checking, are allall good boxes.
yeah they are as marvel kind ofgoes into, like I guess avengers
, doomsday and secret wars iskind of like a descending phase
I guess, whereas you know thistime was going to happen
eventually, where the MCU, youknow kind of was like
self-sustaining for a while.
But now it's time to kind ofreset things a little bit, now
(01:34):
that they kind of have all theirproperties back for the most
part, obviously they still kindof share custody of Spider-Man
and the Hulk but for all intentsand purposes they have access
to all their characters, alltheir properties.
So now it's time to really justrebuild the universe.
I guess in a weird way which Idon't think a lot of people are
like expecting or anticipating.
They think you know that themcu is like failing because
(01:58):
every movie is not infinity war,end game level quality or
anything like that, but likeright, it was never that to
begin with.
Like you know, avengers waslike the first real, like major
box office smash that they had.
So you know, fantastic four isprobably gonna end its run
around 550, 580 million.
You know a lot of studios wouldkill for that, kill for that
(02:21):
return on on investment sinnersmade three in the 300 million
million range, which is crazyfor a movie like that.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Sinners did that.
Weapons looks like it's going todo around the same and it's
funny that you say that forthose types of movies and you're
like this is and I know it'sall about ROI it's all about
return on investment and, yes, Iknow business, I know it's all
about return on investment, butit's all about a return on
investment.
But it's just funny because, like a movie that surpassed both
those movies by $200 million,we're going to call the failure,
(02:49):
but the movies that make less, significantly less than that,
we're going to call successes, which they are.
Both those movies weresuccesses.
But I just again, I just don'tknow how you look at $550 to
$600 million, you're like what afailure, what a failure of a
film.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
That's not how that
works and it's not like it
didn't.
You know it didn't crush itsbudget, did everything that you
want a movie to do.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yeah, I mean, I've
been thinking about the way that
the movie-going experience haschanged and like the immediate
necessity to watch these movies, like you can get into the
social media implications ofthese films getting hurt by that
.
You can get into the, you know, into the immediacy of the
movie-going culture and that youcan just wait for streaming.
You can get into all thesedifferent facets and rabbit
holes to try to understand.
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Superman's already
out on digital Right right.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
And apparently
Thunderbolts is coming out on
the 27th On Disney+, yeah, whichpeople believe will be the day
that we get the second half ofthe casting announcements for
Doomsday, which would make a lotof sense.
I think they're probably alsogoing to give us a first look at
dr doom as well too.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, I think that'd
be great.
Obviously, spoilers forfantastic four.
He does show up at the end thepost-credit scene.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
You don't see him,
his face you see his back, but
it is robert downey jr because, according to, according to matt
shackman, yeah, and the russoshot that scene, so the russo
shot the last two post-creditscenes yeah yeah, so yeah, that
was, that was a big preamble tobasically say we're doing it.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
We're doing a mutant
draft, not an x-men draft.
A mutant draft yep.
So we'll lay out the theprotocol for that when the time
comes.
We do have a little bit of newsto cover.
First and foremost, we got atrailer for fallout season two.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Wow, wow, yeah, super
impressed for a show that we
were very pleased with the scopeof for season one to even get
even bigger is just incredibleyeah, the show was kind of a
surprise the first season, likeI've.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Obviously, you know
people in our sect were looking
forward to it.
You know it's another videogame adaptation.
You know jonathan nolan, youknow, came over from west world
kind of brought his west worldand then you see a lot of
especially with the season twotrailer taking place in New
Vegas.
You kind of get like aWestworld-y vibe from it.
Sure, sure, which was cool, andthe thing that I liked about
this, like that first season,I'm curious to know and I don't
(04:55):
think they've said yet, becausethe first season they did, I
think I don't know how much theywere expecting.
They released the whole thingat once.
Yes were expecting, theyreleased the whole thing at once
.
Yes, I'd be curious to know ifthey're going to do that again
or if they're going to go to aweekly model because of the
success of the first season.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yeah, I mean the boys
.
A lot of the boys success hasbeen the week by week model.
So, like they, they usually dothe first gen b they'll usually
do the first three episodes andthen they'll do week by week.
I feel like fallout might dosimilar because of how
successful that first season was.
It just helps with anticipationweek over week.
You know engagement on the showweek over week.
(05:30):
So I think it does make a lotof sense for them to say let's,
let's first three episodes willdrop and then we'll do the week
by week model.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Yeah, I'm just
curious because I think the
reason that they dropped thewhole first season all at once
was just because, like hey, likewe don't know how this is going
to go, we don't know how it'sgoing to be received, so let's
just drop it all at once andkind of roll the dice Beyond us.
I feel like the general publickind of really took to the show,
took to the performances, thecast, ella Purnell, walton
(05:58):
Goggins, the actor who playsMaximus his name escapes me at
the moment but they were alloutstanding.
Three really compelling leads, which is tough to do.
I love the way that they didthat, where they all kind of
anchored their own storylinesand then those storylines mixed
and coalesced.
It's my favorite type ofstorytelling.
(06:19):
Aaron Moten, aaron Moten, yeah,he was great.
He was great as Maximus.
And season two just looks likeit's doing what all great second
seasons do it's expanding theworld expanding.
You know, obviously all of ourheroes are together now and
they're kind of singularlyfocused on hunting down Lucy's
father Right, who has abscondedinto New Vegas, new Vegas.
(06:41):
But the only thing too, is thethreads of Maximus and the
ghouls' stories Cooper Howard'sstories are still there.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I really want to get
into that because you know,
obviously when you storytell youknow these stories are told
through characters, any story istold through a character.
So I think the true importancewas you know the ghouls'
backstory.
It looks very compelling.
The weave of New Vegas intothis is the perfect kind of
middle ground of him and I lovethe approach that you know his
(07:13):
innocence that was bought uponin season one.
You know he felt like a tragichero, essentially for lack of a
better term, and now it lookslike he's not, as you know,
innocent as would have thoughtof before.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
so I'm really excited
to see what they kind of play
with that and you know, breakbreak maybe not breaking news to
you guys, but breaking news tous it will be one episode per
week.
Oh, wow, yeah.
So there you go, there's youranswer to that.
So clearly they're confident inin this season that they have
changed the model to being it'llbe a weekly installment, which
(07:47):
is great.
I think the first season had alot of you know, at the end of
every episode there did feellike that hook of like if this
were week to week you'd want tobe, like you'd want to keep
watching the next week.
So I think I think that's agreat decision.
And like to your point aboutCooper Howard, like, yeah, it
does feel like the mystery ofwhat happened to his family is
going to be kind of like thecrux, whereas, like first season
(08:08):
, the mystery was like, okay, what happened to him and how did
he get to being from being likequote unquote Hollywood, you
know, I guess he was like Bmovie level famous, right, you
know, became the face ofVault-Tec.
And then his family we stilldon't know what happened to his
wife and daughter.
So that seems to be going to bethe crux of like they're going
(08:29):
to return to the flashbacks, doing like the, the cooper,
howard flashbacks of him in newvegas, obviously, when it's run
by robert house, who made asmall appearance in season one.
I know a lot of people wereexcited about that.
And then this obviously the bigteaser at the end of season one
was, you know, hank abscondinginto the new, you see the
welcome to new vegas sign.
People were like, oh my god,we're going to new vegas.
(08:50):
So I imagine house will be amajor character, probably in the
flashbacks.
You'll see him properly in hisregular form.
And then I assume, based onwhat I know about new vegas, the
game, that in the present daytimeline he'll be his robo,
robotic form, right, where he'skind of like an AI that oversees
New Vegas, like he kind of.
You'll learn a lot about housein the season, but he basically
(09:13):
kind of separated himself fromthe that kind of like board of
companies, right, and he kind ofjust like took New Vegas and
it's his own little like sliceof life that he kind of just
runs independent of everybodyelse, right.
And then I mean just a coupleother things we got in this
trailer.
Obviously, the action still hasthat vintage kind of practical
(09:34):
feel to it.
Right, we got a look at Norm.
Norm looks like he's planning arebellion of sorts.
Yeah, yeah I know, I'm justsaying which is cool.
That was one of my favoritelittle plot lines that I didn't
expect to be a major plot linewas we kept going back to lucy's
vault and seeing like theaftermath of what happened with
them and then, norm kind of on,like discovering the, the
(09:57):
machinations of vault tech, andyou know the nefariousness of of
that whole thing, right.
So I think it's cool we're goingback to that and norm is going
to kind of, because the last wesee him he's locked away in
Vault 31.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Right Yep.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Yeah.
So I'm curious to see how Normis going to shape up.
And then you know, obviously wegot the blood, the gore, you
know that great mixture of kindof combining and we got a death
claw, which I'm stoked about.
So obviously the creaturedesigns are going to be, you
(10:29):
know, right, right, right alongwith how season one was.
So I said it to you earlier, Iwas like man, this second season
hits, it has a chance to kindof compete with the last of us
in terms of adaptation Sure, youknow, season of adaptation.
Sure, because you know seasonone was really really strong.
I know, you know I liked thelast of season two, but I think
we both agree it wasn't probablyas strong as the first season.
(10:52):
So, yeah, I think this has achance, and then just a lot of
high quality video game adaptinggoing on in the far future.
So we have this.
We have 824 is doing a deathshanning film in collaboration
with hideo kojima.
Zach crager, coming off ofweapons, is doing a resident
evil movie right and alexgarland's doing an elden ring
movie right alex garden eldenring movie.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
I don't even know
what that's gonna look like.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Me neither phenomenal
adapting a souls game is
definitely interesting, yeah, and having alex garland do it is
also very interesting, right?
So we're not lacking for thesevideo game adaptations, and I'm
just curious to see how Falloutkind of carries us into that.
December 17th right is whenwe'll get episode one and then
it'll be weekly from there.
So definitely something we'llwe'll be covering some other
(11:41):
news Netflix.
I guess Netflix didn't announceit, but the Duffer Brothers
have announced that they'releaving Netflix to pursue
careers at Paramount Right, presumably doing the same thing
at Paramount that they did atNetflix.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Yeah, yeah, yeah,
they'll probably get it.
I wonder if they'll get an IPof sorts or if they're going to
do an original creation of somekind.
It's kind of up in the air.
I wonder if they're hand them.
Hand them something that'sunder the umbrella.
Yeah, I don't know why in myhead it's such a far stretch.
I don't think they'd give themanything trek related.
I don't think.
I don't think the duffers wouldnecessarily do that.
(12:14):
I wouldn't put it beyond therealm of possibility, but I
think it's going to be somethingoriginal.
I think paramount it was funnybecause I was thinking about
this paramount, the the onething they were missing as a
streaming service was somethingthat was so big that was an
original for them.
That's the one thing I thinkthat they were missing.
Like, I know Lioness wassuccessful, 1883 was successful.
(12:35):
Like they had shows that werevery, very, very successful, but
they were missing.
Like the show that had the boombehind it.
You know what I mean.
Like they were missing thatlike tadpole.
Like the tadpole show that waslike this is the one.
Like this is the one that runsthe streaming service yeah, so
apparently the deal is for fouryears.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
It includes film, tv
and streaming deals and the
major point for the duffers wasthat there's an emphasis on
theatrical products ortheatrical films.
So they said they're stillgoing to be sort of involved in
like the stranger thingsquote-unquote like stranger
things, cinematic universe, likeoverseeing what stranger things
cinematic universe.
Well, they're doing like theanimated thing, I think, and
(13:10):
other stuff, so they're gonnaend it with season five and like
they're gonna executive producethat stuff, but I don't think
they're gonna be like directlyinvolved.
So yeah, I mean that's.
You know.
It's interesting for paramounttoo.
Paramount's obviously been inthe news doing a bunch of stuff,
spending a ton of money.
They just bought the rights tothe UFC.
So Paramount is clearly makinga move in the kind of streaming
(13:32):
wars that are forever ongoing.
And then the last bit of news Ihave is some Greg
Frazier-related drama Not drama,but Lord.
So what's going on with GregFrazier?
Speaker 1 (13:44):
So Greg Frazier
famously shot the Batman.
And then, well, he shot.
What did he shoot?
Dune Part 1, then the Batman, then Dune Part 2.
I mean three of the mostgorgeous-looking movies, for all
different reasons, that you canever ask for on planet Earth.
Obviously, greg Frazier hasturned himself into the most
famous modern cinematographer.
I mean, a whole movie'smarketing and the creator was
(14:07):
built around the fact that GregFraser was shooting the movie.
Yeah, greg Fraser just shotProject Hail Mary.
So obviously I knew Greg Fraserwas impressive, like because
obviously the big one that wefirst knew him for was Rogue One
.
That was the first one where wewere like, wow, this movie is
gorgeous, like who shot thismovie?
And then, you know, obviouslyhis career really took off.
And then, you know, famously, after that he went on to the
(14:28):
mandalorian, went on to kind offurther himself.
He really became familiar andlike the godfather of the sound
stages and how to properly usethem and light them, he does
dune part one, he does thebatman, he does dune part two.
Like the point of point of thegodfather of cinematography
maybe not the godfather, but themost famous of all time is why
(14:50):
can't I remember Roger Deakins'name?
And then the fact that RogerDeakins had him on a podcast and
Roger Deakins in it says I'mnot really a fan of superhero
movies but the Batman is one ofthe most gorgeous movies I've
ever seen.
The fact that the Academypeople were up in arms that he
didn't get nominated for BestCinematography with the Batman.
I mean, he's a modern-daygenius.
(15:11):
So here's what happened.
We kind of figured he wasn'tgoing to be able to do Dune Part
1 or Dune Part 3 and the BatmanPart 2.
Fine, we kind of agreed and Ithink most of the Internet
agrees it's more important thathe shot the Batman part two than
then he shoots Dune part three.
Because you know, glynisSandgren steps into Dune part
(15:33):
three and I'm like, oh, this isgoing to be phenomenal.
It's going to be shot entirelyon film, it's gonna and I think
it's important for Dune partthree to have a bit of a
different feel to it.
Yeah, like the war essentially, like the actual like first
punch of the war is over, like Iwant something that feels a
little bit farther in the future.
So here's the thing, the batmanpart two.
(15:54):
Obviously we were like okay, this means he's gonna shoot the
batman part two.
Very good, I don't know how sammendez convinced him to say
don't do the batman part two,we're gonna have you do actually
the these four beatles biopics.
I still don't do the Batmanpart, dude, we're going to have
you do actually these fourBeatles biopics.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
We talked about this
Beatles thing before.
I still don't understand it.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
The studio's going to
have to cut that to one movie,
right.
There's no earthly shot thatthey're going to get approved to
do four films, four separatefilms, with the four of them
having to weave in between allthe four of them.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
The Beatles Cinematic
Universe.
There's no shot, I can't.
I mean.
The Beatles, I mean, arearguably the most popular
musical act of all time.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yeah, who is the?
It's Paul Mescal, josh O'Connor, joseph.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Quinn yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Joseph Quinn and
who's the last one?
I can't remember who the lastone was.
All four of them were HarrisonDickinson yeah, harrison
Dickinson Four.
So four of the most famousBritish actors over there.
The only person they weremissing was Tom Holland in there
.
So they got all four young, great British actors to play the
Beatles, which was awesome.
Sam Mendes you know, one of thegreatest directors that's
(16:53):
living right now also steps in,which is amazing.
And then Greg Fraser steps inand I'm just like this means
that the Batman part it's notdoomed, but there's other
cinematographers that can stepin.
But there was something aboutGreg Fraser's touch to it that
was just violently incredible.
So I'm concerned.
(17:14):
I'm very concerned.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
Yeah, yeah.
No, I totally get that.
I mean, unless there's likesome scheduled things that shift
around where you know he can doboth Right.
But yeah, this Beatles thingcontinues to just flabbergast me
.
I don't understand it.
Like are we really going toAvengers?
A five of the Beatles, right?
Is that what we're doing here?
Like we're going to like Iimagine you do the John Lennon
(17:40):
movie first, right.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
I don't understand.
I don't know why we need fourof them.
Why is there four differentfilms?
Why are we taking Greg Frazieraway from the Batman?
Why are we doing this?
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Like we're doing a
John Lennon movie, then a Paul
McCartney movie, then a likeRingo Starr is great, he's a
great drummer, but do we need awhole biopic on Ringo Starr?
And these are all going to belike theatrically released.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
Yeah, in the same
year, yes, I guess.
So I know the Beatles are likethe biggest band to ever touch
the earth.
I understand Two films I canget on.
If you said you're doing twobecause they're doing two of the
Michael Jackson films, which, okay, sure, one million percent.
Two, four.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Beatles movies, talos
that'll culminate in like I
guess like the Avengers movie.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
No we already did
this, bob Dylan.
Well, timothee Chalamet is.
Bob Dylan will return in theBeatles part four.
Like the Beatles, yeah, jafarJackson.
Yeah, joaquin Phoenix comesback.
Bob Dylan will return in theBeatles Part 4.
Like the Beatles, yeah, jafarJackson.
Yeah, joaquin Phoenix comesback.
The woman that played WhitneyHouston.
Like they all come back in someteam-up movie.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
A team-up movie John
Lennon A Beatles Story I don't
know, man, I don't understand.
I mean, they got some names.
This movie's going to be cinema.
But I don't know, I don't know,I don't know how many people
are coming out to see the georgeharrison biopic.
John lennon yeah, john, sureyou want to do a john lennon
(19:05):
movie.
Sure that makes total sense.
I get that.
But to do a movie on eachbeetle and then, I guess,
culminate it together and, likeI, I don't.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
It's odd to me.
It's odd.
I'm all in for anything thatSam Mendes does.
He's one of the most talenteddirectors.
Obviously, you know, I'mjealous because Greg I, just
what?
Was the convince they must havehad to pay him a disgusting
amount of money to go do this?
Oh, yeah, I'm sure, and he'sgoing to do four of them.
Disgusting amount of money togo do this?
(19:38):
Oh, yeah, I'm sure, and he'sgoing to do four of them.
Well, I'm assuming they'regoing to try to shoot these
simultaneously?
Yes, they would have to.
There's no earthly shot theycouldn't.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
It just culminates in
the fourth movie.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
The fifth movie just
culminates in them Just the
portals open up like Bob Dylanwalks through Culminates in them
riding hey Jude, jeremy AllenWhite as Bruce Springsteen walks
through, Culminates them inwriting.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
hey, dude, at the end
.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
No, it culminates in
them walking on Abbey Road at
the end.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Oh man, that's all I
got to say about that.
When they first announced this,I didn't understand it and I
still don't understand it.
So I guess we'll find out.
That's all I got.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
news-wise let's do
this thing.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Let's do this damn
thing.
So yeah, mutant Draft 2025.
Mutant Draft here ends therules.
So we got a roster that I puttogether of about 70-some-odd
mutants from all across theMarvel Universe.
We got some X-Men in there, wegot some Brotherhood characters,
we got some Morlocks, we gotsome weirdos.
Just We've got some X-Men inthere, we've got some
(20:39):
Brotherhood characters, we'vegot some Morlocks, we've got
some Weirdos, just a who's whoof characters.
And you and I are going to notvolley back and forth because I
introduced an unknown elementhere.
We're going to go draft style.
We're going to draft a team of13.
We have three distinctcategories.
So we have our physical mutantabilities, three distinct
categories.
So we have our physical mutantabilities.
So think of, like yourwolverines, your colossus, your
(21:00):
mystiques, like characters wheretheir abilities manifest in
their physicality.
Right, you know that that'swhere their bulk of their powers
come from.
Like, obviously we have roguein there.
She has like that touchtelepathy type deal we basically
with rogue.
Like some of these characters,we kind of like not, we kind of
took the form that makes mostsense for them.
So like rogue, for example, like we already have rogue built
(21:21):
in with the captain marvelpowers it's not like base rogue
who like doesn't know anything.
It's rogue.
She has the captain marvelpower, she can fly super
strength.
She still has, like her, touchpower, like all that stuff john
ray says well, I am wraith.
Wraith is in here.
So we got physical base powers.
Then we had I had to make awhole section for mutants that
(21:41):
have psychic or mental abilities, because they're vast.
Yeah, so we have.
You know your charactersobviously, like eugene gray's
cable, emma frost, kitty pride, leech leech is in there.
And then you have othercharacters like elixir, hope
summers, cassandra nova, andthen the last category is it was
(22:02):
originally just elementalpowers, but then that pool is
extremely small.
So I took the energy basedpowers that I had with the
telepaths and I moved them overto the elemental base powers.
So we have energy and elementalbase power.
So characters like bishopgambit, storm, ice man, sunspot,
pyro, psylocke are all in thereand basically the conceit is
(22:26):
you might be wondering, youmight be asking yourself, what
was professor x and magneto?
That's us.
We are, we are role playing asprofessor x and magneto in this
situation and a third party thatI've deemed with a randomizer
the robot.
The robot in this situation itwill be standing as Apocalypse.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
No, you should have
made it Nimrod if you were going
to have it standing as a.
I was thinking of like Sentinel.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Oh, it should have
been Bastion.
It should have been Bastion, but I went with Apocalypse.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
No, Bastion actually
hates mutants.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Yeah, that would make
sense.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
He wouldn't draft
mutants you know apocalypse
would be like mutant draft.
Who can I turn into a horseman?
Give me all the mutants.
Give me every mutant.
Please give me only the strongmutants.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Like strong guy
strong guy, strong guys in here.
So you might be wondering also, look, at the end of the day, my
list is my list.
So like, no, the scarlet witchis not on here.
Franklin, which is?
Come on, man, I needed to showa little bit of restraint to be
able to get some of the weirdoson this list.
Like, if I put FranklinRichards on here, I can't have
(23:21):
Big Bertha in here.
No, why not?
Why not?
You gotta leave room.
So yeah, like 70-odd mutants,13 picks.
So basically the conceit is wecan draft four to fill our
positions quote-un.
So four physical, four mentaland four elemental energy based.
We get one wild card pick thatwe can take.
I might amend the wild cardthing to be able to draft
(23:42):
another omega level mutant.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Yes, yes, I think
that's fair Because I do have we
do have OG X-Men have two omegalevel.
They have three omega levelmutants on that team.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
So I did note the
omega level mutants.
I was gonna only allowourselves to draft one, but I
will, I think, amend that to beable to allow a wild card pick
to also be an omega level mutant.
So that's what we're gonna do,any questions.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
No, I'm.
I'm ready to rock.
I'm ready to rapid fire.
I'm ready to rock.
My team's going to be an issuethat man's pulling a forge right
now.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
So I did the draft
randomizer off of.
Not chat, gpt, no.
So you do have the first pickas Magneto, let's go.
And it's a snake style draft,so you will go first, then I
will go second, the randomizerwill go third, the randomizer
will go third, the randomizerwill then go again, then back to
me, then back to you, so on andso forth, until we draft our
(24:43):
full roster of well, now to beoh yeah, it's still 13,.
But the wild card pick can bean Omega level.
So you have the first pick andI yield the floor to you.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Okay, perfect, are we
ready?
I don I yield the floor to you.
Okay Perfect, are we ready?
I'm ready, ready for the firstpick.
Hold on, we're going to see ifthis works.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Oh no, you're going
to get a copyright stroke.
It's not copyright, it's fine.
The pick is in.
The pick is in.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
With the first pick
in the mutant draft.
This actually seems kind ofwrong now that I'm saying this
out loud, my first pick is goingto be Jean Grey off the board.
It's like taking LeBron Jamesnumber one overall.
There's not much to it.
You get the Phoenix powers ontop of that.
She's proven she can lead ateam as well too.
She's proven she can obliteratean entire earth if she needs to
(25:35):
.
That's all I need in a numberone pick.
I need somebody that can comeand A pick that can destroy the
Earth.
Yeah, I need a pick that cancome in and change the franchise
.
Day one, the Brotherhood ofEvil Mutants.
This franchise has changedforever.
Yeah, that's.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
I mean she was on my
list.
Obviously, if I had beenblessed with a number one
overall pick, she is not who Iwould have taken number one
overall, though.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
You're ready for the
Vulcan pick number one overall.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
You left my number
one pick on the board.
I'm staying in the family.
I'm staying in the family withthis one and I'm taking Hope
Summers.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
So what?
Hope Summers has a bit of abetter head on her shoulders.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
I mean you get a lot
in one package With Hope Summers
she basically has.
For those of you who aren'tfamiliar, she has the power to
mimic, amplify and master anymutant power, as long as being
an Omega-level telepath on topof it.
It's kind of like to your point.
(26:32):
This is like drafting aquarterback.
This is a franchise change.
She can do a bit of everything.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
It's like taking Cam
Newton number one overall.
There's some picks that justwork.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
She can amplify the
powers of other mutants.
She's kind of like anall-around support character too
, which I kind of like.
She's not my field leader, butshe's there and she's there.
She's a threat Fair.
You know what I mean.
So we got two summers off theboard.
Who's Apocalypse taking?
Let's see, let's see.
Wait, apocalypse has pickedVulcan.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
No, not Vulcan off
the board, you mean Vulcan who
couldn't even lead his.
So for those of you who don'tknow, in 1975, the giant-sized
X-Men were there and then theymade a story after that that
came out.
The giant-sized X-Men basicallythe original X-Men were trapped
on Krakow.
Cyclops breaks out, basically, and borns everybody and
Professor X is like ooh, shoot,I need a team iconic X-Men
(27:35):
Cyclops, wolverine, thunderbird, banshee, colossus who else is
in there?
I forget who else is in there, but he basically makes a foreign
team of X-Men and Nightcrawlersin there and then they turn
into some of the most famousX-Men.
You find out that there wasanother team that he sent down
there and Vulcan was the leaderof this team, who was also the
brother of Cyclops.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
It's another Summers
the leader of this team, who is
also the brother of of cyclops.
It's another summer, yeah, another three summers off the
board.
They're like, they're like thealabama of x-men.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Oh, they're like the
mannings.
Oh, the summers are like themannings so yes, this is gabriel
summers, all right.
Well, now on to apocalypse.
Who do you got apocalypse?
Speaker 2 (28:12):
yeah.
So I mean interesting pick heretoo, like we both went telepath
and then Apocalypse goes with apure, like raw energy
destruction character.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Sure, it's an
Omega-level way.
Yeah Wee man, All right.
Apocalypse next pick.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
Apocalypse is next
pick Interesting the Juggernaut.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
Okay, that's actually
not a bad pick.
Imagine the Juggernaut boostedby Apocalypse.
That's a potent mix.
Gives me the goosebumps.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
So I kind of see what
Apocalypse is doing here.
Apocalypse appears to bebuilding a physical kind of raw
powerhouse team.
Okay, this is what I'm seeinghere.
I ain't mad at it With Vulcanand the Juggernaut.
Did not expect the Juggernautto be a round two pick.
Yeah that was.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
That's like taking a
defensive tackle like number two
in the draft.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
It's like Aaron
Donald Right, right, which is
fun.
You're talking about afranchise player, that's a Hall
of Famer Right.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
But it's like you
just never expect it, my go huh.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Do I just raw fire
off my second Omega pick?
I feel like I should rightMm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
I have hope so.
The 12 picks my Omega pickneeds to go into one of these
three buckets or it can be yourwild card.
It's not going to be my wildcard.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
No, it has to be your
second Omega.
Now has to be your wild card, okay, so I took Jean.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Jean fell under the
mental right Unless you want her
to be your wild card.
No, I don't want her to be mywild card.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Okay, and I don't
want Hope to be my wild card
either.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
Okay, so my mental
Jean was under mental right.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Yeah, okay.
So if you and I are going topick another Omega, it would be
our wild card pick, okay.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
I think we should
save the wild card pick for last
.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Yeah, because
Apocalypse already used the wild
Omega.
Yep, all right, all right, soI'll hold off on my Omega pick
for right now.
Oh man, this is tough, so Ihave Hope who's like a support
type character?
I kind of want to go with oneof these energy based characters
(30:20):
, just because the pool is a lotshallower here.
And man, I can't believe I'mdoing this.
But I'm taking another summary.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Don't take Havoc.
I'm taking Havoc.
I know what I'm going to do.
I know what I'm going to do, soyou're going to take Havoc.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
I'm going to take
Polaris.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Okay, you know a
little daddy-daughter duo on the
team, okay.
Speaker 2 (30:43):
It's like Shadurah,
sanders and Dion and I mean I
feel like, honestly, with any ofthese other characters I pick,
having Hope there just amplifiesevery other pick I make.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Having Jean Grey on
my team makes no other team want
to fight my team, so I'mactually feeling good, so who
are you taking?
I took Polaris Polaris.
I wanted somebody that you knowshe's like borderline Omega,
omega.
That's exactly why I took her.
You're talking about somebodythat can affect the Earth on a
global scale.
Drafting what you know, Magnetocharacter with with mag, with
(31:24):
mag.
Is that gonna be my theme?
I gotta take quicksilver neck.
Interesting, I like, I like theway that this is this is
shaping out so far, so it's yourgo again.
Yeah, okay, so I have myanother pick for myself.
Yes, I am gonna go solely basedoff x-men.
97 oh no I'm gonna take rogue,okay.
So that's your first physicalcase, because of what I get with
that as well to you.
And again you're sticking withthe magneto theme here yeah,
yeah, I am what we learned inx-men 97.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
I'm sticking with the
magneto theme, all right
interesting, and I mean, alongwith rogue, you get all of her
physical attributes and then youget the ability to steal powers
if need be.
Could, uh, borrow?
Borrow some powers from gene orPolaris?
Yeah, and they both Gene won'tdie.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
True Gene won't die
from that, so Interesting.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
So you got one, one
and one across the board.
Yep, so it's my go huh.
This is where, being in themiddle, I mean it's only three
teams, but still this gets fun, okay, all right.
So I think I'm also going to gowith a physical character.
Okay, man I'm just thinkingabout.
(32:23):
I feel like Apocalypse did getthe best physical character with
Juggernaut.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
That's not bad.
Speaker 2 (32:28):
I feel like I do need
a physical character.
Screw it, I'm going to takeWolverine, okay.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
OG.
Yeah, that's a good bet on theteam.
That's like having Brook Lopezon your team Bro's there for a
million years.
It's consistent.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
The healing factor is
outrageous.
Look, I know you're Magneto andI know Wolverine might just
have to chill for a little bit,but somehow Wolverine still
manages to fight Magneto.
Yeah, he killed him.
Hope Summers can also copy hishealing factor, which makes her
also unkillable.
He killed him.
Hope Summers can also copy hishealing factor, which makes her
also unkillable.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Yeah, fair.
No, she also absorbs thegetting infected by adamantium.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
Not a good pick.
I'm using.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Hope as my LeBron.
We've got to figure out who thebiggest bust of this draft is
going to be on our team.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
I'm using Hope as my
LeBron, where the team she can
kind of distribute wherever.
Plus five attributes toeverybody on the team LeBron,
where the team she can kind ofdistribute wherever.
Speaker 1 (33:15):
Plus five attributes
to everybody on the team yeah,
pretty much.
Yeah, fair, alright, who'sApocalypse taking?
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Let's see Apocalypse
selects the Shadow King.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
Dang.
No, I can't take Darwin now.
That's such a power move.
That's like getting a floorgeneral.
That's like having Jason Kiddbe your coach and Rajon Rondo be
your point guard, because it'stwo masterminds at the position,
a multiversal telepath, mm-hmm.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Dangerous Sebastian
Shaw pretty good.
The Shadow King Pretty good.
Man that's a great pick.
I'm not going to lie, it's agreat pick, okay.
So who's his next pick?
So next pick, so he has threepicks in.
Now, three picks in.
He's got the juggernaut, so weall have one, one and one.
So far, all right.
Juggernaut, shadow king andvulcan for apocalypse.
(34:05):
I guess this will be like thethird, the third of the way mark
.
Okay, I have wolverine, hope, summers and havoc and you have
rogue, jean, gray and polaris,so we go into round four.
Apocalypse selects Darwin.
No.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
Yeah, essentially
Wait, maybe that's what
Apocalypse is going to upgradeDarwin to make sure he just
can't be killed by the ShadowKing, specifically.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
What a genius.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
Okay, who's your next
pick?
Speaker 2 (34:32):
Man, darwin.
Eh, all right, so Apocalypsehas filled two out of four of
his physical spots.
My next pick, my next pick, isgoing to be I'm looking, I'm
looking, I'm looking.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
I locked in a beast
for my next pick.
It's not beast.
It's not beast.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
I'm going to Do.
I want to use this.
Do I want to do this?
Now?
I'm going to pick.
It's not beast, it's not beast,I'm going to Do.
I want to use this.
Do I want to do this?
Now?
I'm going to pick Bishop Fair, fair Specifically.
I mean, I don't know how muchenergy he can take.
I think he can absorb Vulcan'spower Not absorb, but you know
what I mean.
Okay Fair, I Okay fair.
I think he can do the.
(35:16):
That's a lot of power.
You saw him in X-Men 97.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
That's a lot of power
I'm going to take with my next
pick.
I'm going to take Magic.
Oh, I thought about Magic.
I get a lot with Magic being onthat team.
I get so much with Magic beingon that team Because not only do
I get the physicality of Magic,I get all the mental stuff from
magic as well too.
So not only do I—if Jean goes abit unstable, we can get magic
(35:41):
to get everybody in a differentlandscape.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
You have access to
limbo.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
Mm-hmm, that's good,
and she's also a natural aura
farmer, so— and she can fight, and she can fight, and that's
exactly why I wanted her.
She can fight the Shadow King.
I wanted my team to, low-key,have hands.
That's what I wanted.
I want my team to kind of havehands.
Your team does have hands.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
Because who do you
have now?
You have Rogue.
Speaker 1 (35:59):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Magic.
I guess those are your two.
I don't really have.
That's what I don't have rightnow.
I don't have, like, a fighter,mm-hmm, I have Wolverine, his
adamantium.
She can't fight, so yeah, it'syour go again.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
My next pick.
I wanted to kind of load up onthe mental, but I'm going to go
physical here.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
It sounds very
Magneto.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
I'm going to go
physical here.
I'm going to raise yourWolverine, I'm going to give you
X23.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Oh, I was wondering
if one of us would do this.
You got your own Wolverine.
I'm going to give you X-23.
Speaker 1 (36:39):
Oh, I was wondering
if one of us would do this.
You got your own Wolverine andhow old school Magneto to be
like Wolverine?
Speaker 2 (36:45):
I have my own version
of Wolverine, get my own
Wolverine.
I mean, I guess obviously theonly downside Healing factor's
not as strong as Wolverine's.
She's a little more disciplinedthan Wolverine.
Speaker 1 (36:56):
Yes, and I think with
Magneto's tutelage she can
really bring out the savageryinside of her.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
She's more like.
If Wolverine is like the, it'sfunny Wolverine, dakin and X-23
all kind of fall into differentcategories.
It's like Wolverine's more likethe brutish.
Just run at you.
We're gonna fight Right.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
And then x-23 is more
like the stealth, the stealth
pick, yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
And then dacton's.
More like dacton's, more likesurgical right, more like
technique based yeah, he's likean assassin yeah which is, which
is cool, don't take marrow withyour next pick that's gonna
take saber tooth.
I'm kidding, I'm not takingsaber tooth.
All right, so it's my go.
I'm in the middle.
I hate being in the middle man.
So many good things happen.
So what am I?
(37:39):
I have two elemental, which isgood, because that was kind of
like the shallowest class.
I feel like I need to go backto the mental well here, taking
Forge.
No, I'm kidding, don't do it,I'm not taking Forge, I'm going
to take Selene.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Fair, fair Selene.
If you don't know about comicSelene, she is an issue.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
She's basically a
mutant vampire.
Mm-hmm, she can just, she haspsychic abilities, she can cast,
she's magic, she has magicpowers, like actual magic powers
, and, yeah, she's a vampire ina metaphysical sense.
Metaphysical, metaphysicalsense in the sense that she
(38:19):
doesn't like suck your blood, she literally absorbs your life,
energy, right, and that's howshe sustains herself.
I think that is where I want togo, because, funny enough, like
the psychic well is deep, butit's also very top heavy, sure,
so it's like you got like yourgene grays, you got your hope
summers, but then like yeah, forge it kind of like falls off
(38:40):
after that.
Like these are like I feel likemagic is, like she's like right
at the end of, like that uppertier.
Yeah, because, like a lot of thegood, a lot of the good
telepaths are kind of gone atthis point, unless you want to
burn the second omega pick, which no one has opted to do yet
.
No, I don't want to do that yet.
So apocalypse is up next.
Who's?
He got wow, apocalypse hastaken a second omega.
(39:07):
Okay, any guesses?
Speaker 1 (39:10):
elixir nope oh,
cassandra nova, nope, nope.
Oh, cassandra Nova, nope, iceman, it is Iceman.
Wow, I'm just going to freezeeverybody to death.
Say yes, have fun fighting infrigid temperatures.
So is Apocalypse.
So this is interesting.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
So the two Omega
picks are basically polar
opposite energy picks.
You have Vulcan and you haveIceman.
Apocalypse could just destroythe Earth here.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Yike.
Oh no, that's exactly what hewants, and then he's going to
build a better one, said OscarIsaac.
Remember when Oscar Isaacplayed Apocalypse?
Speaker 2 (39:44):
With Iceman and
Vulcan, he could destroy the
Earth, and Darwin can survive it.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
Oh Yo, bro's building
an all-star team.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Bro is living up to
his moniker.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
He building an
all-star team, bro.
Bro is living up to his monikerhe is apocalypse.
He's trying to destroy theearth.
Superpowers juggernaut, nothingcan stop him.
Darwin's gonna survive.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Dang, that's a good
pick we're getting, we're
getting trounced, all right.
Who's his next pick?
All right, so he's burned allright.
So no more, no more, no moreomegas for apocalypse.
Speaker 1 (40:13):
And let's see, let's
see, and let's see, let's see
they are apocalypse has pickedhis third physical fighter and
he's taken deadpool.
Ah, I was gonna take deadpoolfair.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Okay, that's fair,
that's fair I mean, I feel like
this works.
I feel like this this applies, this makes sense for this team.
Okay, fair of of psychos.
Oh, he does have a lot ofpsychos on his team.
I think this team is justplanning on destroying the world
and then surviving.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
But yeah, because
Deadpool's going to be there.
Deadpool can survive it too.
It's going to be hilarious whenhe survives.
Okay, Farrah, who's your nextpick?
Speaker 2 (40:45):
Man.
I need a physical guy here.
The physical well is, it's thedeepest, but it's also drying up
very quickly with charactersthat aren't just Wolverine Dang.
I can't believe Iceman gotdrafted ahead of Storm.
I'm looking, I'm looking.
I'm looking at Wraith.
I'm looking at Wolfsbane.
(41:10):
I'm looking at Marrow, end ofthe round six pick Good value.
I'm looking at myrow with around six pick Good value.
I'm looking at my shapeshifters.
They're all the same butdifferent, much like the
Wolverine X-23 Dakken bucket.
I got three shapeshifters hereand they all do similar but
different things, and I feellike the best version of this is
(41:45):
actually copycat is where I'm,is where I'm gonna go.
I knew you were gonna do it too, vanessa.
You embarrassed me in front ofvanessa.
She can.
She's the only one of thesethat can replicate all powers.
Mystique can do it to a degree.
Morph can only copy physicalpowers.
Copycat can do everything.
It's just she's a littleuncontrollable at times, but
(42:06):
that is fine.
That's actually fine.
Here's what I'm going to do.
So I'm going to take Copycatand I'm well balanced.
Right now I'm 2-2-2 with oneomega off the board.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
Here's what I'm going
to do.
I'm going to take Psylockebecause I want my team to be
full of just hitters.
I just need my team to behand-to-hand proficient, so I'm
going to get another elementaloff the board, so I'm going to
go Psylocke.
All mental instability.
Speaker 2 (42:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
I'm going to go
Psylocke and then I'm going to
go Domino.
Whoa, because what is the bestpower than good luck?
Huh, domino's powers with JeanGrey means that Jean Grey is
going to use the Phoenix Forceand not be affected by it.
Domino's power means that X-23is going to be able to kill
(42:58):
Wolverine in any type of setting.
Rogue is not going to be ableto, you know, drain some of
these powers on accident, likeit's the best option for helping
you want to talk about theLeBron effect.
Good luck for everyone.
That's a pretty solidback-to-back pick, wow.
Speaker 2 (43:18):
So you're tapped out
on your psychic pool.
Yeah, oh, three, right Four.
No, I have three you have.
Gene, you have Magic Psylockeand Domino.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
Psylocke you put on
your own elemental.
Oh, you're right, you're right.
That's exactly why I took her,because she low-key, sneaks me a
fifth person into the mentalpart.
Okay, your pick, oh man.
Speaker 2 (43:40):
So I'm 2-2-2.
Have not used my other Omegaspot and I'm wondering.
I'm looking, I feel like I needsomeone that can.
I feel like I need damage.
I feel like I need damageoutput.
I'm lacking in the damageoutput division.
I have a lot of mental, a lotof a lot of really.
(44:05):
I'm really hanging on to thisother omega spot, but there's
one specific omega that I feellike I'm drafting for need,
because I just need the rawpower and hope summers can
amplify said power.
That's storm.
It is going to be storm.
It is going to be storm.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
It's fair.
You're talking about a personthat can literally affect the
biometric, you know, the literalatmosphere of any planet, not
just planet earth, but anyplanet.
Fair, fair, what's apocalypsegot cooking.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
I know he got
something cooking and I think
I'm gonna stop, if I'm gonnastop, if I'm gonna stop
apocalypse from destroying theworld, I feel like I need storm
to to undo some, some damageyeah.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
Okay, what's
Apocalypse?
Got cooking.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
What's Apocalypse got
cooking?
Let's see.
Apocalypse selects Omega Red.
Good pick Again going with this.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
This is just an
anarchistic team, this anti-life
team that he's building here.
Speaker 2 (45:13):
Omega Red I found
this out in research has
something called Death Swords.
Did not know that was part ofhis deal.
Yep Only really familiar withOmega Red for Marvel vs Capcom,
where he uses the whips, sodidn't realize that he had a
poison in his system.
Right.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
What's his
back-to-back pick?
Speaker 2 (45:34):
Cassandra Nova.
Wait, that's three Omegas.
Oh yeah, You're cheating.
Apocalypse.
Reroll, Reroll.
Speaker 1 (45:41):
Apocalypse is
cheating.
He is cheating Classic.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
Apocalypse?
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 1 (45:45):
Classic Apocalypse.
Who'd you take?
Speaker 2 (45:48):
Hang on, it's
thinking.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
Bring the weight
music up.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
Elevator music All
right, the pick is in and it is
a psychic level character it is.
Speaker 1 (46:10):
Nightcrawler.
That's fair, that's cool, it'sa low-key, a solid pick.
Okay, what's your next pick?
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Let's see where my
board is here.
How are we looking?
How are we looking?
I picked storm, comfortablewith that.
I got some.
I think I need some.
I still think I need moremuscle here.
A lot of these good, a lot ofthese good physicals.
It's a defensive pick, but it'salso a juggernaut adjacent pick
(46:44):
.
Speaker 1 (46:44):
Oh yeah, Colossus.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
Yeah, I'm picking
Colossus Fair.
Okay, because again he canfight, he's pretty much
invulnerable.
And not to take it back to mynumber one overall pick, hope
Summers can also duplicateColossus's powers, that's pretty
good.
I'm building my team aroundHope Summers Okay that's fair.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
That's fair.
That's like drafting LeBron andbeing like all right guys, now
just figure it out, everyonejust figure it out afterwards.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
All right, I'm going
to go.
So you're up.
You have two picks here.
Okay, you still have your wildcard.
Yep, I'm saving it for last.
Well, yeah, you can you haveyour pick of the litter now?
Speaker 1 (47:23):
Yeah, because you
guys both did it.
We both took ours.
And just so you guys know,Apocalypse is sitting here with
us as well.
He is here, I'm going to takeQuicksilver next.
Hey Needed a little bit ofspeed.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
Keeping it in the
family Keeping it in the family.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
I needed somebody
that can be like.
I need somebody to disruptevery single person out there.
I need a disruptor.
This team I'm building would bean incredible stealth team.
If I needed a black op, youknow what this team is.
I have an incredible X-Forceteam right now, An actual team
that can be the actual X-Force.
This is a great X-Force team.
Speaker 2 (48:04):
Ooh that would be an
interesting concept to get
Quicksilver on an X-Force team.
You do have a very yeah, I feellike if you send in Domino,
Psylocke, X-23, and Quicksilverto do a mission.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
And then that all
else fails.
And then you see Jean Grey,Rogue and Polaris pull up.
You're like oh no, oh, no, bro,Uh-oh, Uh-oh.
Okay, my next pick.
I'm just trying to kind of keepit balanced so I have, like
everybody, like I have a pickfrom each piece.
I'm going gonna go with my nextpick.
I was really thinking aboutSunspot.
(48:35):
I was really thinking aboutSunfire or Sunspot to somebody
that can control solar energy tosome avail, because if they can
void storm of some solar energy, that would be pretty good.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
They're similar but
different.
Sunfire generates raw solarenergy and Sunspot absorbs it.
Speaker 1 (48:52):
I was thinking about
Typhoid Mary as well too,
because she also is much more ofan issue in the comics than
people think, but I think thatshe's a little mentally unstable
.
Yes, she is.
Speaker 2 (49:01):
So is Psylocke, which
is why Legion is also still on
the board Right.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
And using that logic,
I'm going to take if Rogue's on
the how powerful Gambit is aswell too.
Speaker 2 (49:16):
Also another guy that
can fight and another guy that
can do stealth?
I'm also thinking Synergy, likeDomino Gambit, synergy, mm-hmm,
domino Gambit, yeah, she canmake sure he can't miss.
Speaker 1 (49:29):
Yeah, he never misses
Cards.
Always in my favor.
The cards are always in yourfavor.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
Domino's, like they
are always in my favor.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
The cards are always
in your favor, domino's, like
they are always in your favor, except that time when you got
vaporized by a diamond.
Come on, no, no man, do yourpick, don't do this.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
You got a lot of your
team would make a great Love
Island episode.
Speaker 1 (49:47):
Now you got Magneto,
rogue and Gambit all together,
with his son there and hisdaughter there.
Man, this is why you shouldhave put Scarlet Witch on the
board.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
So that way I could
have taken her with my wild card
.
Wow man, the synergy is off thecharts.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
This is the
borderline most anti-hero team I
could have picked.
That's why I wanted to getDeadpool on this team.
That's why you're Magneto.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
I'm really flying the
seat of my the with the good
and bad in here.
I I'm surprised this person isstill available at this point,
just a regular character, giventhat we've now taken three, five
, seven of the mental telepathcharacters off the board and
this one is still available.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
And I'm taking cable
I can live with you taking cable
and I will say tell you cableand bishop, because cable's
gonna look at bishop and be likeremember when you lost me in
the times.
It's fine, come on, it can't beany less.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
It can't be any less
volatile than you having gambit
and rogue and you being Magnetoon the same team.
So, yeah, I just I would liketo have Cable.
He can time travel, or has timetraveled.
Maybe he's seen this draft playout.
(51:07):
Oh no, oh no, bro, maybe heknows how it's going to go.
He's a good leader, which isinteresting because there's a
definitive leader that's stillavailable, I know, and he's not
going to get picked.
So I'm going to take CableAnother Summers off the board.
Okay, good pick.
There's one specific Summersthat still hasn't been drafted.
(51:31):
Wait, who is it?
Speaker 1 (51:35):
Wait, which Summers
hasn't been picked?
Oh, cyclops, loser.
Nobody Wolverine somewhere?
Loser, alright, who's?
Speaker 2 (51:44):
Apocalypse taken,
cyclops is enduring a Shador
Sanders-esque fall in this draftright now.
He's the only one in his familywho hasn't been drafted.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
I might have
something dangerous up for one
of these future picks.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
Alright, Apocalypse
is picking Banshee.
Speaker 1 (51:59):
I actually like that.
I was actually low-key thinkingabout Banshee, because that's
disorienting as well too.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
It is disorienting,
against a lot of our psychics,
that we have lined up A goodpick not someone that you would
think, and you've got to thinkabout who the leader is.
Speaker 1 (52:14):
Like the
amplification of like what does
that turn?
Does that turn into likeplanetary level, a sonic scream
that can destroy the Earth?
Speaker 2 (52:23):
He's still destroying
the Earth.
Speaker 1 (52:25):
I'll build a better
one after this Apocalypse, are
you?
Speaker 2 (52:28):
building a team to
destroy the Earth.
Wait, who's?
Speaker 1 (52:29):
Apocalypse's next
pick.
Speaker 2 (52:37):
Because this is
getting hilarious.
Now apocalypse's next pick isfirestar no, not firestar from
marvel comics, so this is a makea microwave type character he's
a hamilton beach.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
No, he's stronger
than that.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
He's an 1100 y
hamilton beach with vulcan and
iceman, apocalypse now wieldsfire, cold and cosmic energy.
Wow, not bad.
We're getting lapped, we'regetting pasted by Apocalypse?
Speaker 1 (53:00):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
No, I don't think so
either.
I think, at the end, I thinkour team, I think we just
destroy the universe.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
Yeah, this fight is
when these teams, the Avengers,
are going to be there like comeon guys.
Speaker 2 (53:16):
Guys, this is why
none of the X-Men get invited to
things, because you guys dostuff like this.
All right, so we've got what?
Two?
Speaker 1 (53:18):
more rounds,
basically Three.
So two more regular, no, threemore regular rounds.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
It should be, I
believe, three more Because you
have four more picks to make.
Yes, that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Three more regular
rounds and then the wild card.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
For you, because me
and Apocalypse took our wild
cards earlier, because we I meanyou can opt not to take a
second Omega, but I don't knowwhy you wouldn't.
Yeah, that's just absurd.
I'm just saying If it's there,we'll be there.
It will be there because no oneelse can draft an Omega, so
it's my go.
No, I oh, yeah, it's my gobecause so I feel like I need
(53:52):
another elemental guy.
Okay, need another elementalguy, dazzler, come on.
Do I have a fire guy?
I don't have a fire guy.
Do I Don't do pyro?
I'm not doing pyro.
Not everyone gets a speech.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
Cassandra's going to
be giddy.
What happened to you?
Speaker 2 (54:17):
That's not the same
guy from X2, so it's really
between Sunfire and Sunspot noApocalypse took Sunfire.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
No, it took.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
Firestar easy, chill
out, chill, nobody.
Iceman on his tip, chill, he'sa microwave character, he's not
a fire character.
What is he?
Vinnie Johnson from the 80s,pistons A microwave character.
And Storm for her vastelemental abilities.
I guess she can control the sun.
(54:44):
She can't control the sun.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
She can make it
cloudy, like she did in X3.
What were they doing in thatmovie?
Speaker 2 (54:52):
Want to know what
happens when a toad gets struck
by lightning.
Same thing that happens ineverything else.
So it's between Sunfire andSunspot.
It's really like what do I want?
What do I want out of my fireguy To look cool, because then
it's Sunspot.
Name Sunspot Moe to me,remember it.
Yeah, I'm going to take SunspotFair.
That's a fair pick, pick.
(55:16):
A lot of unrealized potentialthat I feel like, as me, as
professor x, I can, I can getout of him.
When he's when he's sunspothe's invulnerable, sure, like
when he's actually sunspottinghe can absorb the sun somewhere.
Dock off what happens to the sundog she can storm, can part the
clouds, power sun, sunspot upFair, like a plant, like a
(55:43):
photosynthesis.
I have back-to-back picks.
You have back-to-back picks.
You have back-to-back picks andmy last pick will be you have
your wild card still, and thenyou have one physical and you
have one in each category.
Basically, that's what I wantedto do you have?
One in each category remainingand your wild card, omega pick.
Okay.
Speaker 1 (56:00):
I'm going to take.
This is tough, I'm going totake.
I'm going to take Kitty Pryde.
Hey, based off all the stuffthat Hickman did, because
Hickman basically turned herinto like an absolute,
disgustingly powerful unit.
So I'm going to take KittyPryde.
Speaker 2 (56:18):
So you again, you're,
you're keeping up with the
stealth.
Speaker 1 (56:21):
Yeah, oh, she's also
going to be the leader of this
team too.
Whoa, she's the only one thatwould go to Magneto's face and
be like you, idiot.
Okay, so that takes care of oneof my kitty pride you had in
the mental Elemental I'mprobably going to try to knock
out next, I think, so I'm goingto take Elemental.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
Yeah, you have
Elemental Psychic and then your
last.
Speaker 1 (56:51):
Omega pick.
Okay, all right, I'm going totake with.
Ooh, this is tough.
Do I have a?
This is tough.
Do I have a physical?
Yeah, I have a physical left noyou don't because it's okay.
Oh yeah, I did take kitty no,no, kitty pride's on their
mental, should she be?
You made this list, man.
You're the one that made thislist.
That's true.
I'm keeping it the way it is,man.
I'm gonna take morph, becausethen at least he.
(57:14):
Then there's two Rogues, twoQuicksilvers, two X-23s.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
Mm-hmm.
So you're like, you basicallyused him as a like, a double
down on your three othercharacters.
Right Interesting, that's aninteresting use of him.
Speaker 1 (57:27):
I feel like, Like
you're doing you're doing like
Wait, wait, I might have tore-usurp that pick.
Speaker 2 (57:32):
Redraft he's
redrafting.
Speaker 1 (57:34):
I might have to,
because there's no elemental
omegas left.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
But you don't have to
pick an elemental omega.
Speaker 1 (57:39):
Oh, I can just pick
any omega, okay, fair.
Speaker 2 (57:43):
You get any omega.
Me and Apocalypse pickedelemental omegas, but you don't
have to pick Because thewildcard pick goes in its own
chamber.
Speaker 1 (57:50):
Perfect, I know
exactly who I'm taking to.
Speaker 2 (57:52):
So you pick aph.
Speaker 1 (57:54):
Yes, I'm going to
take Morph, because at least my
physical characters getamplified or I get two of them.
Basically, you get two of them.
Oh no, no, I get anybody.
I get any of your guys'physical anyway too.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
Joke's on you.
My physical guys are no good.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
Apocalypse's are
though.
Speaker 2 (58:10):
Apocalypse definitely
has the best physical group.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
I would say Jean Grey
, magic Domino and Kitty Pryde.
That's not bad.
Speaker 2 (58:18):
That's pretty good.
That is pretty, pretty good.
Alright, so it's my go.
I still have one in eachcategory available, which is
great for me.
Let's see Forge.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
No, don't do it.
You're going to keep jokingabout this Forge thing.
Speaker 2 (58:37):
Cypher no, I'm
kidding, I need everybody to
understand each other.
If out this forge thing, cypherno, I'm kidding, I need
everybody to understand eachother.
If I pick blind spot, can hemake gene gray forget that she
is the phoenix?
No, come on, man.
I mean.
Does everyone else take him?
I don't know shit.
Apocalypse has two mentalcharacters to take still, I feel
like I need to.
I feel like I need to take oneoff the board from apocalypse
because he can't take legion, hecan't take Sandronova.
(59:00):
I'm just looking at who's leftin the mental, like the mental
abilities that I can justbasically snipe from Apocalypse.
So he's really just weak downthere Dang.
What's Moonstar about?
What's Moonstar got going?
Illusions Careful dog.
Illusions not bad Illusions.
Illusions aren't bad Illusionscould fuck with Domino actually.
Speaker 1 (59:22):
No, domino's going to
make themselves lucky.
The Illusions are actuallygoing to go back on to Moonstar.
Domino low-key, the mostpowerful mutant there ever was.
Speaker 2 (59:31):
Luck's not a
superpower Says who?
Deadpool said it in the secondDeadpool movie, even though he
was super lucky.
Speaker 1 (59:41):
Damn am I going to
take, even though he was super
lucky.
Damn am I gonna take.
I might take moon star.
I'm gonna take moon star.
That's a that's.
Speaker 2 (59:44):
That's the craziest
pick so far.
I think I like the illusions, illusion casting and a telepath
okay, fair, I got hope summers.
I got celine.
I got moon star.
Mentally we're just she couldtake, she could take, she could
take.
The juggernaut out of theequation, fair, getting his
brain getting get in his headFair.
Okay, if I can't fight firewith fire, I'm going to fight
(01:00:05):
fire with my brains.
Okay, classic Professor X Fair.
Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
You know who's
Apocalypse got cooking up?
He got somebody cooking.
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
So Apocalypse has
three picks left.
See, I feel like Apocalypsemessed up.
I feel like Apocalypse messedup.
I feel like Apocalypse messedup.
Not a lot left in the psychicrealm but he's gonna handle most
of it himself.
Apocalypse.
Speaker 1 (01:00:31):
Apocalypse is
thinking right now Sunfire okay
fair, yo bro is really cookingsomething what is bro cooking
something.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
What is?
Speaker 1 (01:00:41):
Bro cooking.
I don't understand, Okay andnow who's next?
Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
He's got the power of
the sun in his hands.
Can Vulcan power up Sunfire, orvice versa, or vice versa.
Shoot, this guy's just tryingto destroy.
I'm telling you, I think he'strying to destroy the Earth,
fair, alright.
Who's he got next?
So he's trying to destroy theEarth, fair, all right.
Who's he got next?
So he's got two more psychicpicks Typhoid Mary.
Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
Oh, I was thinking
about taking Typhoid.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
Mary, were you really
.
Speaker 1 (01:01:07):
I was genuinely
thinking about it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
Huh, Typhoid Mary eh.
Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
Okay, all right, and
then your second to last pick,
my second to last pick.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
So what do I need?
I need another physical guy andanother elemental guy.
I can't, oh man, I can't not.
Do this right, do it.
I can't, I can't, not, I haveto.
I can't be the X-Men, I can'tbe Professor, I have to take
Cyclops.
Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Yeah, fair, I hate it
, but fair Loser who said that I
had to take Cyclops.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
Okay, because maybe I
can get your team to stand down
.
You know, no, you have Jean.
Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
Grey, but I have
Cyclops.
Well, I'm just going to makeCyclops sit for Jean Grey.
No, that's what he's there for.
We're good, him and Wolverineon the same team, though that's
asking for trouble.
I don't love it.
But Alright, these are my lasttwo picks.
Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
This is it.
Yeah, you got your lastelemental pick and then your
wildcard Omega pick.
Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Okay, my last
elemental pick will be I
couldn't kill you with theFourth of July, could I?
Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
Don't take Jubilee.
Speaker 1 (01:02:24):
I don't have a sun
guy.
I don't have a sun person.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
I don't think there's
any sun people left I was
looking at you thinking abouttaking Surge.
Surge isn't sun.
No, I was thinking about takingSurge.
What's Surge going to do foryou?
I mean, I guess you don't havea choice.
I mean you have a choice, but Ihave some choices.
How many?
Speaker 1 (01:02:41):
Am I going to take
Avalanche the Power of?
Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Earthquakes.
Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
That's not bad, it's
pretty good.
Yeah, let me get somebodythat's low-key, not respected
enough.
Let me take Avalanche Wow, thePower of Earthquakes.
That's not bad.
Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
It's pretty good All
it's pretty good.
Speaker 1 (01:03:04):
All right, this is my
last pick and he's also a
Brotherhood of Mutants, so yourlast pick and you got the run of
the Omega litter.
Here I'm taking Legion for allanarchistic purposes.
That's like my pick.
To just end all the other picks.
All right.
Last pick.
This is where you got to dosomething funny.
Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
He's yeah, and you
picked my son.
Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
What a Magneto thing
to do.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
You picked my son,
damn.
So what's my last spot?
What do I have to fill here?
Speaker 1 (01:03:32):
Oh, a physical guy,
because Cyclops was an energy
beast guy who's the funniestphysical character you can take
right now.
Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
A beast, would,
low-key, be absolutely hilarious
?
I'm not.
Unfortunately, beast is gonnahave to go undrafted because I'm
not taking beast strong guy.
I'm not taking strong guy,right?
No, it would be hilarious.
Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
No, I'm gonna take
armor.
I was thinking about takingarmor earlier.
It was when I was pickingearlier.
It was gonna be be betweenarmor and morph, but I was like
morph can just do the same thingthat my other physical people
can do.
That's a good pick.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
I feel like she could
maybe go toe-to-toe with the
juggernaut.
Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
Be tough and push her
to her limits, but that's a
solid pick.
I like that pick.
Apocalypse.
Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
The last pick Do
something crazy.
Do something crazy.
Apocalypse.
He did do something crazy.
He picked Mastermind.
No, he's got another illusion.
He also got an illusion, guy Yo.
Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Yo Yo.
What are you up to?
Apocalypse, maybe the funniest, the funniest team that could
have been picked.
All right, so what's his fullteam?
Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
All right, so the
full teams, the full rosters,
magneto, we'll just top down.
Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
Okay, magneto, I got
Rogue X23, quicksilver, morph,
jean Grey, magic Domino, kittyPryde, polaris, psylocke, gambit
, avalanche and Legion.
Pretty good, that's a Black Opsnightmare.
Yeah, you would hate to see myteam.
You couldn't see my team, youwouldn't be able to see his team
coming.
(01:05:11):
And if all else fails, jeanGrey, go murder everybody.
And if that fails, legion, justmurder, just murder everybody,
legion, just kill everybody.
Speaker 2 (01:05:23):
My team is as follows
wolverine, copycat, colossus.
And who's my last physical guy?
Oh, armor.
Okay, my psychic, my psychicsquad hope summer is my lauren,
lauren, james, celine, cable andmoon star.
Psychic Squad Hope Summers mylittle Ron, the Ron James,
selene, cable and Moonstar.
And then my elementals areHavoc, bishop, sunspot and Storm
(01:05:47):
, er and Cyclops.
And then my other wild card wasStorm, okay, so I ended up,
weirdly enough, I ended up witha lot of X-Men.
Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Yeah, you did.
You got a lot of X-Men on yourteam, as Professor X, and then
Professor X said I can change alot of the ones that aren't good
people.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
Apocalypse, you are
cooking Apocalypse' team.
Who did I say?
His last psychic pick was, oh,mastermind, that's right.
So Apocalypse has JuggernautSheesh, darwin Sheesh, deadpool
Sheesh and Omega Red.
Wow, and then for psychics it'sShadow King, nightcrawler,
typhoid Mary and Mastermind.
Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
Dog.
This team is kind of crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:06:32):
Not bad.
And then the elemental team isVulcan, banshee, firestar and.
Speaker 1 (01:06:39):
Sunfire and then
Iceman as a secondary.
He has the weakest Omega teambut, like his regular mutants,
Well, I told you he's trying tojust destroy the Earth.
Yeah, he's got no other planbesides absolute murder.
That was fun, that was a lot offun that was fun.
That was mad fun.
We should do that again withanother team.
Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
We'll do it with the
Avengers, or do you want to do
it with the Justice League?
Speaker 1 (01:06:59):
Justice League's fun,
maybe we should do that again
with another team.
We'll do with the avengers, ordo you want to do it with the
justice league?
Justice league's fun, maybe weshould do that with the justice
league because james gunn's beenhe's been doing his yap fest
peacemakers coming out in twodays, peacemaker season two.
So he's been like we're doing asuper thing next and superman,
and he's like who's to saysuperwoman?
Who's to say supergirls?
Who's to say super girls?
Who's to say super something?
(01:07:20):
Yeah, crypto, the super dog.
Origin movie man.
Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
That was that was a
lot of fun that was fun I just I
think it's funny that we endedup with like type, like, not
typecasting, but we like builtour teams around like who the
leader was.
Speaker 1 (01:07:36):
Yeah, my whole team
is like my whole team is people
that like like total, like my.
It's something to say that onmy team the most like morally
right person is kitty pride.
Like that that's something tosay.
Everybody teeters the line onthis team.
And like you also can use theleader.
That's why I'm afraid ofapocalypse's team, because he
also steps in.
(01:07:56):
He's gonna bill russell thisthing and also play that that
was fun.
Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
man, that was a lot
of fun.
Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
Yeah, I think a fun
DC one would be fun.
Maybe we do like Amanda Waller.
We do Amanda Waller would begood.
Who else do we have in DC thatcan like?
Maybe Darkseid Batman?
I was thinking about Batman, but I think he should be on the
board.
Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
He should be
available to pick.
Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
So yeah, maybe we do.
Yeah, maybe we do.
Alfred, Just kidding AmandaWaller, we do like I don't know
who do we got?
Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
I don't know.
Justice League needs like astand-in person.
Maybe it has to be.
Speaker 1 (01:08:36):
Superman.
We just take Superman off theboard.
Yeah, it probably has to be,and then maybe it's Superman and
Batman get taken off the board.
Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
I thought you were,
you know, retired.
Speaker 1 (01:08:45):
Retired, retired.
Yeah, maybe Superman Batman.
Maybe Superman Batman andWonder Woman are the three.
You just take them out.
Yep, and they're the threeleaders of the team, and then
they draft the teams accordingly.
With are the three leaders ofthe team, and then they draft
the teams accordingly With thenumber one.
Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
Pick the question,
Bro.
Just be asking questions, Bro'sa professional rage baiter.
Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
The most powerful
member of the Justice League?
The question.
Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
Like, but Someone
knock this guy out please.
Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
I'm taking the
Martian Manhunter number one
pick.
Overall that's a good numberone pick.
Speaker 2 (01:09:27):
I had to pick Cyclops
man yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09:29):
I know.
Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
Notable undrafteds.
Let's go down this list here.
Angel did not get drafted no,who cares about Angel?
Man Beast did not get draftedNobody cares, the Blob did not
get drafted.
Dakin did not get draftedNobody cares, the Blob did not
get drafted.
Speaker 1 (01:09:42):
Dakin did not get
drafted.
Speaker 2 (01:09:43):
We don't care.
Multiple man did not getdrafted, sabretooth didn't.
Sabretooth and Mystique both.
Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
Mystique is probably
pretty interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:09:50):
You left both your
long-standing brotherhood of
mutants off the board.
We don't care.
Nocturne did not get drafted, toad didn't get drafted.
You are not loyal to yourbrother.
Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
I was thinking about
Leech.
I was genuinely thinking abouttaking Leech.
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Leech isn't bad, but
Leech also, I think, is one of
those things where he has to bethere.
He needs to be around you.
If he gets close enough toVulcan, he's just going to get
vaporized.
Blind Spot didn't get drafted.
Speaker 1 (01:10:16):
Negasonic Teenage.
Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
Warhead.
Negasonic didn't get drafted.
The Vanisher didn't get.
The Vanisher did not getdrafted.
Come on, didn't draft Brad Pitt.
Man Spyro didn't get drafted.
The Dazzler didn't.
Arrow didn't get drafted.
Speaker 1 (01:10:30):
Jubilee.
Speaker 2 (01:10:31):
Jubilee not getting
drafted is pretty.
And then the Omegas that didnot end up getting drafted
Cassandra Nova.
Emma Frost was a good one.
Emma Frost is a kid.
Emma Frost, yeah, Emma Frost istough.
Speaker 1 (01:10:42):
Kid Omega, those yeah
, those are the Omegas that
didn't get drafted Kid Omega'slike come on man.
Come on man.
Why can't I be as famous asSuperboy Prime?
Speaker 2 (01:10:51):
Man adding that extra
wildcard rule I think is what
actually caused Iceman Storm andVulcan to all get drafted
actually caused Iceman Storm andVulcan to all get drafted Right
, right, which is fun.
Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
That's actually good.
Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
I'm glad that we
amended that, because I think if
we had kept the three like ifwe just kept the three, I think
it would have been Hope, jinaand Legion, right, and then
everyone else would have justbeen off the board, right.
So I think the fact that weadded that second wildcard spot
to be an Omega is what causedthe three elemental Omegas to
(01:11:23):
get drafted.
That was a lot of fun.
Thank you, apocalypse, forshowing up.
Don't destroy the Earth, please.
I'm gonna do it.
He's gonna destroy the Earth.
He picked Vulcan and Iceman.
He's gonna freeze the Earth andthen he's gonna shatter it With
his own bear, With the power ofthe Juggernaut no, he's gonna
use havoc.
No, no, not having, he's gonnause banshee to do it freeze the
(01:11:43):
entire thing and destroy it, andthen it's just apocalypse
darwin and deadpool justchilling at the end of time, and
then the scarlet witch has tocome in and fix it no franklin
richards is there like come onguys, come on, we knew this was
you knew you knew lettingapocalypse in a draft was gonna
to cause this.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
If we did, if and
when we do an Avengers one, I
think it should be probably NickFury.
Oh, yeah, nick Fury.
Yeah, nick Fury, probably.
Speaker 2 (01:12:09):
Apocalypse again?
Speaker 1 (01:12:10):
No, Nick Fury, you
would probably do Doctor Doom.
I thought I had, you'd probablydo Nick Fury, dr Doom and maybe
Kang.
Oh, can we not do that?
Oh, come on.
Probably Loki, oh, maybe.
Oh, you know what would be fun?
Ant-man, no, no, no.
Ultron, ooh Ultron.
(01:12:31):
Dr Doom and Nick Fury.
I feel like I don't want twovillains there, like you
probably need to have somebodythat's a good person.
Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Captain America no,
he's got to be draftable, so
that he can not be drafted.
He's going late.
The same way, cyclops went late.
Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
The Watcher the
Watcher Nick Fury and Doctor
Doom.
The Watcher, captain Carter no.
End the show.
Any mentions of Captain Carterimmediately ends the show that's
the rules.
Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
That was a lot of fun
.
I didn't think I was going tohave to think as hard as I ended
up thinking.
Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
No wonder everybody
hates the X-Men we should have
done a team with William.
Speaker 2 (01:13:13):
Stryker.
Stryker was my original slotand then I did Apocalypse and
said I can't believe I draftedMoonstar For need?
I was like, wait, you'relooking at Moonstar.
I drafted Moonstar specificallyto screw with Apocalypse.
And then he drafted an Illusionguy.
He drafted Mastermind.
The fact that Mastermind gotdrafted and Beast didn't is
(01:13:38):
Beast is at home, just Forge andBeast can't.
Beast is at home, just Forgeand Beast can hang out together
at home.
We can pick you up in freeagency.
Yeah, someone dies.
Come on, beast, get in here.
You're on the team.

something else on the fly maybewe'll review something of some
sorts.
Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
We haven't talked
about sinners.
Haven't talked about sinners,probably.
Speaker 2 (01:14:15):
I still think that's
the best film of this year oh
yeah, probably we still havepeacemaker comes out this week.
Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
Yeah, talk some
Peacemaker.
Speaker 2 (01:14:25):
So we definitely do
that, but cool From me and from
I mean the Magneto of thepodcast.
This is the easiest one.
He got to be Magneto.
The whole episode.
This is great.
Enough.
Enough, Bro.
Could turn the whole world off.
Speaker 1 (01:14:40):
Nobody's drafted
Silver Samurai.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
He's not immune, but
it's still funny.
Silver Samurai, how'd you getin here?
Alright, guys From Professor Xand Magneto, the Professor X and
Magneto of the podcast.
Thank you, apocalypse, forsitting down with us.
That's a good Apocalypse voice.
Speaker 1 (01:14:58):
Maybe I could get
cast as Apocalypse.
And Sabanor, oh dear, you'rewelcome.
That's a good Apocalypse voice.
Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
Maybe I could get
cast as Apocalypse and Sabanor,
oh dear.
No, that's why we needed Beastto get drafted, since Iceman
destroys the Earth.
Speaker 1 (01:15:09):
No Beast should have
got drafted by Apocalypse.
He would have been like oh dear, what's his Apocalypse upgrade?
He just gets turned into abigger beast man.
Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
I can't believe I
saved Cyclops from the undrafted
pool.
I had to.
It's Jador Sanders.
He was the last one in hisfamily to get drafted.
That's crazy, yeah, disgusting.
All right, guys, we'll see younext week, for maybe Peacemaker.
Until then, goodbye, peacemaker.
