Have you ever looked at someone else's life and felt hopelessly behind? That gnawing feeling that everyone else has figured it out while you're still struggling to find your way? You're not alone.
Divine timing is more than a spiritual concept—it's a powerful reframe that can transform how you view your life's journey. In this episode, we explore why the anxiety of feeling "behind" is largely based on artificial timelines and social media comparisons that don't reflect reality. Some of the most inspiring success stories involve complete transformations during seasons when society falsely claims we should be "settled." I share practical ways to trust your timing: setting personal goals without rigid deadlines, taking aligned action, practicing patience, and celebrating progress rather than fixating on outcomes or comparisons.
Remember what looks like a delay is often a redirection toward something better aligned with your highest good. Those who've achieved what you're working toward rarely judge others on similar paths—they're usually the most supportive. Your desires and everything you're working toward will arrive at the perfect time. You aren't behind; you're exactly where you need to be, learning exactly what you need to learn. Trust the process, embrace your unique timeline, and watch how beautifully your life unfolds.

April is National MinorityHealth Month, so before we jump
into today's topic, I want toshare a quick wellness tip that
aligns with the episode.
Prioritize mental health.
Anxiety about timelines canimpact mental well-being.
Tools like therapy journalingand self-compassion can help to
(00:42):
ease anxious feelings.
And PS therapy isn't just forcrises.
Consider talking to a mentalhealth professional or
practicing mindfulness to managestress.
Now let's jump into today'stopic Trusting divine timing.
Why you're not behind in life, child.
(01:04):
In this day and age, it is soeasy to feel like you're behind
in life.
We have a level of access toeach other and to celebrities
and everybody else on socialmedia in ways that weren't even
imagined back in the day when somany of us were growing up.
We know what they're eating, weknow what they're traveling to,
(01:30):
we know what they're doing totheir bodies, we know what their
homes look like, and it's easyto fall into the trap of looking
at what other people have andfeeling like you're not where
you're supposed to be.
But here's the thing as people, and depending on what your
beliefs are, we've never livedlonger than we do now.
Think about it For many peopletoday, midlife is 30, 40, 50, or
(01:54):
greater.
Comparison is the thief of joy.
Instead of feeling like you'rebehind in life, can you trust in
(02:16):
the knowing and the season andthe timing of your life and know
that you are actually right ontime, depending on your beliefs?
We're all just doing life forthe first time.
We're all figuring this thingout day by day.
And behind by whose timeline,anyway?
(02:37):
Who says?
I see so many powerhouse women, especially who are just finding
their stride in their fiftiesor in their forties, or who
started their young adulthoodout in one way and who have
completely transformed andpivoted and built new lives for
(02:58):
themselves, during a seasonwhere people in this society
will make you believe that thereis no possibility for change,
there's no possibility forreinvention, and you just
shrivel up and don't do anythingelse.
You're not behind.
You're actually right on timeto start over, if that's what
(03:20):
you want to do.
You can't compare your journeyto anyone else's, because you
don't know exactly what stepsthey took to get there.
And potentially, if you foundout, potentially if you did know
, you might not desire theirlife as much as you thought you
did.
Trust in the divine timing ofyour life.
(03:40):
Know that what is for you willnot miss.
You Know that if you desire tomake significant change, to
start over, to pivot, toreinvent yourself, you have
ample time to do so.
Timelines are personal.
We don't all operate on thesame one.
Societal pressure should neverdictate your own personal timing
(04:05):
.
You know what's right for youand when.
And sure there may be thingsthat by now you thought you
would have had or that youdesired to have had by now, and
maybe in your own personaltimeline they haven't worked out
yet.
And perhaps societal pressuresare making you doubt yourself
(04:26):
and question yourself.
But I need you to trust andbelieve that your season is
coming, if it hasn't arrived yetalready.
Sometimes delays are oftenredirections.
And guess what those delays?
They're often redirection.
(04:46):
And guess what else thosedelays?
They're often a redirection.
Focus on practical ways totrust your own timing Sure,
write down your goals, keep themin mind, keep working toward
them and believe that youraligned action will undoubtedly
(05:10):
call in exactly what you need, exactly what is worthy of you
and exactly what you deserve.
Try your best not to let theanxiety of societal pressure
alter you from your course.
Embrace your own uniquetimeline.
Trust in your inner knowing anddon't compare yourself to
(05:34):
anyone.
If you're someone who's outhere trying to build something
for yourself and maybe you feellike you haven't reached the
level of success or attainmentthat you desired yet, trust that
if you keep putting in the work, it will all work out for you.
And guess what?
Other people who are on thesame path of trying to build
(05:55):
something for themselves, or whohave built something for
themselves, will never look downon the next person trying to do
the same.
In fact, many of them are ofteninclined to help you even more.
So trust that what you desire, what you're working for, so
trust that the desires of yourheart, everything that you're
(06:18):
working toward, will arrive inaligned time.
Don't fret and don't worryyourself over anything.
It is all working out for youin divine timing.
You've got this, don't doubtthat, and be sure to try out
this week's wellness tip and letme know how it impacts you.
(06:38):
