Mediumship and channeling what'sthe difference?
People tend to get mediumshipand channeling mixed up.
They use the termsinterchangeably, but that's not
my understanding of things.
Let me share with you how I seethe difference.
First, let's look at channeling.
That's when someone you, me,your neighbor could be.

Anybody literally channelsinformation from a discarnate
being.
That means someone not in athree-dimensional body, from
another realm.
A channel can bring forward allmanner of beings higher life
forms, ETs, spirit beings,elementals, avatars, angels and
more.

Channeling doesn't necessarilysend the channeler into a deep
trance, though that's often thepopular idea After all, it makes
good movie scenes.
No, it can be done throughmethods like automatic writing
and conscious channeling.

Why do people channel?
To bring down-to-earthinformation that's out of the

enlighten those of us who findourselves on our journey of
spiritual awakening?
Most people are aware of EdgarCayce, who was a trance channel

Now let's look at mediumship.
According to James Van Praagh,a medium is a psychic who has

They're able to feel and orhear thoughts, voices or mental

There's another differencebetween mediumship and
channeling.
A key part of mediumship isproviding evidence of the
continuity of a loved one.
In channeling, the informationtends to be more philosophical

We have to be more trusting ofthe channel when there isn't a
historical record of the beingthat they say they're channeling

So let's go to how mediumshipcan happen First.

For example, most people arefamiliar with a medium who
stands in front of an audienceand gets hits or messages from
discarnate folks and then findsthe person to whom a message
belongs.
Because I work with people in atimed session and want to get
right to the soul they want tocontact.
I ask for certain pieces ofinformation that won't tell me
anything about the person, butwhich will get me into their

energy immediately Name,relationship, age at death and
year they crossed over.
From there I get specificimpressions that will speed up
recognition.
It could be how they died orparticular habits they had, or
key phrases that are significantbetween the client and the
deceased.
I can get directly heardmessages, though they also can

I have found that certainphysical signs can also give me
information how, if my handthumps hard on my chest, for
instance, it could mean that theperson died of a heart attack.
Miming smoking a cigarette isoften a key that the spirit with
whom we're connecting was asmoker.
My body will mimic their stanceor fidgety habits.

Does every medium do this?
No, but it doesn't mean itisn't valid.
It's simply the way spiritchooses to manifest through me.
I'll often get a manner ofspeaking, accent verbiage, slang
that connects me to thedeceased visitor and that goes
right back to the idea that whenwe agree to work with spirit,

That may make the work easier.
Remember, I was a theater majorin college and I worked as a
professional actor and voiceoverartist in New York.
So for me accents and such areeasy and Spirit takes advantage
of that, but it knows betterthan to ask me to sing.

Once my client is assured thatwe have their specific person on
the Spirit phone, then a trueconversation can be had and I
allow the deceased to speakdirectly through me, though it
is not being possessed.
