ABOUT GREG:
When Greg combined the “poker mindset” with “mindfulness,” he won $100,000 at the World Series of Poker, lost 100 pounds, and built a world-class literary agency. In his TEDxTalk on “Mind Shift”, Greg outlines an effective approach on how you can master your fears and make winning decisions to live a fulfilling life.
Greg draws on Eastern practices he learned while living at a health retreat in Thailand, studying with masters, and earning certification as a Health Coach. The former PwC consultant combines his pragmatic "poker mindset" and MBA in finance with holistic practices to show you that to make winning decisions in business, love, and life, you must first master yourself.
Greg is the author of the #1 Wall Street Journal bestseller Your Next Five Moves (Simon & Schuster), The Poker MBA (Random House), The Leading Man (Vital), The Finance Doctor (Vital), and Amarillo Slim’s memoirs (HarperCollins).
Greg co-founded a literary agency that placed more than 130 books with major publishers and developed several films with Academy Award-winning actors and producers. He has served as a corporate spy for Inter-Continental Hotels, a change management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers, a housing coordinator for the Atlanta Olympic Village, and has sold portrait packages, office products, and home improvements.
A graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, he has written columns for Grantland, ThePostGame, Yahoo!, The Good Men Project, MeetMindful, and Card Player.
Greg has led workshops in Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand and has given keynote speeches for AOL, Skadden Arps law firm, The Cornell Club, Young Presidents Organization, BioHorizons, Paint EZ, Million Dollar Roundtable, and FIRMA, among others.
Greg loves to play guitar, sing, travel, do yoga, and play basketball.
