Chapter 3: The Journey Begins

Imagine if you will, a world in a harsh grip, a grip that squeezes the life from the world. This iron fist holds the world and tries to bend it to its will. However even the strongest iron will melt when exposed to fire. Darkness is simply the absence of light, when light is present darkness cannot be. Therefore it just takes a small spark to light the kindling and suddenly the iron fist will melt away into nothing. Everything has a beginning and this is the beginning of the end for evil. The small forgotten things will be remembered and shall help crumble the empire that has long laid waste to life. Its hubris shall be its undoing. So please come along the journey and mark which side with which you belong. In our last episodes we met the mysterious character of The Raven, a regal bird with odd gifts for speech and a strange skill he calls "Listening". We followed him as he heard tales of strange omens and whispers of wicked magics from the rocks and the trees. We then met a delightful chipmunk named Halmela, to whom The raven introduced himself as "The Watcher". Halmela informed The Raven of The Foul Grove, A strange place likely the result of heinous magics, full of putrid blackness and twisted nightmares that lies to the north. She also told him of The Great Storm that created The Graveyard of Trees. The Raven hypothesized these two stories were interconnected and must now go investigate further. He senses the party he seeks is at hand and the road is converging towards the final destiny.
