Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh snap.
Well, hello Raw Feeders.
I'm Deedee Mercer-Moffitt.
I'm CEO of Raw Dog Food Company.
We're your pet's health is ourbusiness, and we're friends,
like my friend homeopathextraordinaire Neely Piazza.
Good morning, hi.
You don't let friends feedkibble, do you?
Oh heavens, no, never.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
You know what Dr
Jasek told me?
There's another one out calledperfect kibble.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Oh goodness, there's
unkibble and perfect kibble and
and it's just like it's stillkibble.
Guys, kibble, kibble is kibble.
Okay, I just don't get it.
That's right.
I just don't understand how youdon't open their mouth and go.
Why would you need thesetriangular, pointy teeth to eat
(00:48):
fricking cakes, cookies andchemicals?
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Why?
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
And and again.
It's all this fear of bacteriaE coli, listeria, salmonella,
and yet we've never seen a issuewith that in dogs or people.
And you know, vets today loveto throw out this, oh, zoonotic
stuff.
You know, if your dog gets sickit's going to jump on you and
(01:17):
you're going to D-I-E.
Yeah, that's a whole bunch ofhooey yeah, that's a whole bunch
of hooey yep who we doing, um,but you know what's not who we
do.
We is homeopathy, and you areamazing.
I think we have to tell peopleover and over again, neil's,
(01:39):
what is homeopathy?
What is it?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
so it's a very old
system of medicine that, uh,
basically supports the body inand going through the healing
process.
Um, we, you know, the remediesor our medicines, are derived
(02:05):
from natural substances plant, animal, mineral, diluted in
succus to where there'sbasically none of the essence of
that object or product or item.
And when you introduce it intothe body, where a symptom is
(02:40):
basically the body's healingstrategy, right?
to move through a situation orsickness or whatever, and if you
match the correct remedy tothat body's healing strategy, it
will help that body movethrough that healing process
(03:05):
much faster and with much lessdrama and trauma, so that you
can kind of, instead ofexperiencing all of the symptoms
you might experience, you wouldspeed through them and then you
actually come out the other endon the healing side, where
(03:25):
you've actually achieved healing, versus stopped or blocked that
process just so that you don'tclinically see that symptom.
So a symptom is not the enemy.
The symptom is the body's ideaof a cure.
(03:46):
So you just need to help itredirect so that the suffering
is lessened and the duration isquickened.
So an allopathic medicine juststops everything in its tracks.
It doesn't heal anything.
So when you block that healingmechanism, then it generally
(04:08):
comes back with a vengeance.
Like antibiotics, they neverwork long term, right, they stop
what's happening right then.
But then you know several daysto several weeks later you have
either a recurrence of the sameproblem or something worse, or
steroids are the same way.
So it's it's not a, it's not acure, it's a bandaid that
(04:32):
typically makes things muchworse.
Whereas homeopathy actuallycarries, carries that, that
healing strategy, through to theend, so that it's actually done
.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
All right.
A lot of people, me included, don't know the first homeopathic
remedy for things.
However, you have courses and Iwant to remind everybody
neely's website is whole wW-H-O-L-E.
Animalwellnesscom,wholeanimalwellnesscom.
So you have beginner coursesand then, in beginner course,
(05:13):
neels, is that the one that'scalled gateway to homeopathy?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah, so there's a
gateway one and a gateway two.
Um, those two are great ifyou're wanting to learn about
homeopathy, wanting to um, startbuilding your you know, your
stash of remedies and learninghow to use them and in what
situations you would use themand how to um, how to administer
(05:40):
them and um things like that.
So there's, um, you know, anintroduction that explains what
homeopathy is, a little bit ofthe history, how, how it came to
be.
Um, some of the more common, commonly used um remedies, some
of the older remedies that youknow and a remedy will.
(06:03):
It's not like this, for thatOne remedy may be used for you
know tens, hundreds of differentthings.
It just kind of depends on thesituation, Because you know,
everything is connected, right.
So just because you see, well, take, for instance, vaccine
(06:29):
damage can come out in multipledifferent ways, right.
It can come out neurologically,it can come out through the
skin, it can come out as acancer, it can come out as a
behavior.
So there's multiple differentways that the same injury can
present itself, right.
So that will indicate whatstrategy the body is using to
(06:53):
work through that to address theoriginal insult.
But then there would bedifferent remedies that you
would match to the symptom sothat you can work your way back
to the original insult.
So, anyway, the gateways willhelp you understand how it works
(07:23):
and how to think about it,because you have to retrain your
brain, because it's basicallythe opposite of allopathy, so we
have to rethink how we thinkabout illness and injury and
healing and things like that.
So it's a great introduction onwhat it is and how to get
started using it and what someof the more common day-to-day
(07:48):
remedies would be for you know, cuts, scrapes, bruises, minor
injuries, headaches, sprains, strains, colds, flus, things
like that.
And then Gateway 2 is basicallyjust a extension of that and,
um, one of the bigger um biggerlessons in gateway 2 is about
(08:11):
the different cell salts and howto use those as well.
So, and then we do protocolclasses which kind of hone in on
on specific um topics Likethere's a good gut, bad gut,
there's um a pain in generalpain course, there's a
(08:34):
antibiotic alternative course.
That's the next one that thatwe're going to do.
And uh, later this monththere's a feminopathy course,
there's um, there's an allergycourse, there's a skin course,
so you can kind of hone in onmore specific situations, uh,
things like that, so very useful.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
So in your life, in
your personal life, do you Now I
kind of know what you may say, because I know what you've said
about this before but do youtake certain things
homeopathically to make surethat you never get cancer?
(09:18):
And before you say, cancer isnot in your consciousness,
because I've heard you say that.
But but I'm just saying so.
A lot of people are looking atthat for their dogs.
Obviously you want to keeptoxins out of them.
You want to feed them a speciesappropriate raw diet and know
that's not cooked and knowthat's not freeze, dried and
know that's not, you know, fortified and all that crap.
So but my, my question is doyou take certain homeopathic
(09:44):
remedies in order to make surethat your body is optimal?
Speaker 2 (09:50):
So, that would be
using it as a more as a
supplement or preventative, andit's not like that.
So you treat what's in front ofyou, so you treat what you see.
So in a sense, you could say youcan use it to prevent cancer
just in the way that you will be.
(10:10):
Whatever symptom you see, youcan support the system to go
through to healing right,Instead of stuffing it deeper,
which is what allopathy does, which is part of what causes
cancer to present itself.
Right, there's many different, many different ways to look at
(10:31):
cancer and I don't know what thecorrect way is, or if there is
a single correct way, or if it'sa multitude of different things
.
But there's, you know, there'sevidence for all different kinds
evidence for all differentkinds of reasons for it to
appear, and you can usehomeopathy to address all of
(10:52):
those reasons that we think itappears and you can also use it
to treat it.
Once you have it, once you knowthat it's present, you can use
it to treat that.
And I don't do a lot with thatbecause, like you said, I refuse
to acknowledge it because Ihave too many other things to
(11:15):
think about and I'm like that isa huge topic.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
I just don't think I
want to put my finger in.
However, I did have a dog atone point that had a mast cell
tumor and I dealt with that withhomeopathy and a couple of some
(11:40):
different supplements and acouple of some different
supplements and you know we gotrid of it and unfortunately she
died before, you know, before Iwas able to see if there was any
, if that returned or anything.
She died in a car accident.
(12:00):
She didn't die from from anillness, but so I just, you know
, I just it's so.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
I mean, the cancer
thing is so baffling right,
Because you didn't have you canhave the we we've seen it dogs
that are, you know, notvaccinated now, whether they had
a an initial round of puppyvaccines and and that did it,
(12:32):
whether they, I mean, who thehell knows and it and it.
Just I think somebody knows andI think that it's so damn big,
you know.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
But they can't get
out Well, and I think I've said
before, we're surrounded by somany toxins and insults that
we're not even aware of.
So in different people, so indifferent people, different
bodies are going to be prone toor sensitive to different things
(13:10):
, for whatever reason.
You know, everybody has adifferent history, everybody has
a different makeup, everybodyhas different tolerance levels,
everybody has different toxinexposure levels to start with,
and so every individual personor dog is going to have a
(13:31):
different tolerance to deal withthose things.
So you know, I don't know howmany times you hear people say
but I did everything right andmy dog still got cancer.
It's like, well, there's somany things you can't control
for and you don't know what histhreshold was when he came into
the world to start with.
So you know there's that.
(13:52):
Can you imagine how much soonerif you hadn't done everything
right?
Right, I mean, yeah, it's it's.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
It is maddening, you
know.
It is so maddening and I, and Icertainly do hope that bobby
kennedy uh, or robert sorry, robert kennedy jr I, they call
him bobby uh is able to do somethings.
I hope so, I hope so and so,and what I really hope.
Well, here's what I think willhappen.
(14:24):
If, let's just say, the FDAgets out of our sling there and
stops being such jerks to theraw food companies, the big pet
foods will just come in andstart creating it and make it
cheaper.
That's what they'll do.
You know, because you alreadysee it right.
You already see the fresh pets.
(14:46):
You already see farmer's dog,right.
So the farmer's dog cookedright.
And then I've talked about iton other podcasts, about the
acrylamides and the all thePBDEs and all those different
things that happened during thecooking process.
Even though it may not bekibble, it's still cooked Right
and I it's crap ingredients too.
(15:08):
I mean, yeah, it is, and there'sso much bad out there, but
again, it's it's marketing.
But back to the home.
Yeah, yeah, I want to.
I want to ask this about thehomeopathy stuff.
So one of the things that youreally like are two items called
(15:30):
one is nux vomica and one isarsenic arsenic, right yeah,
those are two great remedies.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Okay, multiple uses
for both remedies.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Okay, multiple uses
for both.
So this is that.
So give me a couple of reasons.
And then I also want to talkabout we were talking about
toxic plants before the podcastbecause we have so much lantana,
uh, around us and I did notrealize how toxic Lantana is to
dogs.
You guys, lantana is very toxicand both of my German shepherds
(16:10):
and Austin would do this toolove to just get in that Lantana
and sort of roll around on it,get their face on it.
It's a super toxic plant.
So if you live in really hotareas right, texas Lantana super
prevalent, arizona extremelyprevalent but if you have a dog
(16:35):
that likes to eat on thoseplants, they're really, really
toxic.
You were telling me that youhad sort of the same issue when
you moved to your new place outin Missouri, that you had toxic
stuff.
What were those toxic plantsthat your dogs were chowing down
on?
How did they present and howdid you help them
homeopathically?
Speaker 2 (16:57):
I don't remember what
the plants themselves were,
because I am really bad withplants, but the lady that
planted them knew what they wereand we looked them up and they
were all toxic.
And so I had five dogs thatwere Julian, like water hoses
and lethargic and had diarrheaand all kinds of and lethargic
(17:24):
and had diarrhea and all kindsof had.
They had fevers, all this stuff, so they were drooling like
water hoses.
It was terrible.
But we we got through all ofthat and without, without
needing any outside help, andeverybody was fine.
Everybody's been fine since.
But that's, that's kind of whathomeopathy will do for you.
(17:45):
It puts you more in control ofyou and your dog's wellness and
you don't have to depend on anindustry that is not trustworthy
or a person that's going togive you grief about not
(18:05):
vaccinating or feeding raw orsomething like that.
You don't have to.
You don't even don't even haveto deal with that.
There's no reason to deal withit.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
So how long did it
take for the homeopathic?
Remedies to help.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
The first couple it
took a day or two because I was
still trying to figure out whatwas working.
The the last two was 12 hoursand they were done.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Yeah, I just I, it
just took me.
It just took me a little bit toto figure out what remedies
were the most effective.
But once I had that down, Iknew exactly what to give and
they got through it just fine.
And you know you could say, well, the younger ones were
(18:53):
stronger and more robust thanthe old, but it didn't play out
that way because the oldest onegot it last and she came out of
it fastest.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
So what one
homeopathic would you say before
somebody comes in and gets inyour class and really becomes
very proficient at this?
But what one homeopathic shouldeverybody have in their home
and and and keep around oh mygosh, you're gonna make me pick
(19:26):
one.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
You can't dial it
down to one okay, you can have
two.
What two nux vomica, oh mygoodness, there there's, there's
many, but but I actually fordogs I think I would.
If you're going to force me tochoose two, I would say Arnica
and Nuxvomica, okay.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
All right, and Neely
does consults too.
Guys, if you're not going toget in the whole class right yet
, don't forget that Neely doesconsult.
So let's say that you have adog that's got an issue and you
want to do homeopathy.
(20:10):
You want an alternative to gointo a Banville, to a VCA,
something like that.
Neely is there to help you.
And the great thing aboutworking with Neely she will
answer emails.
Right.
She probably answers moreemails back and forth than she
should, or that most consultantsdo you better start charging
(20:32):
for that?
Speaker 2 (20:32):
That's getting the
wheel out of hand.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Well, you got to say,
hey, you got to keep it down to
a minimum, right, I'll answertwo and that's it, or?
Speaker 2 (20:38):
one or whatever.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
Yeah, a minimum,
right, I'll answer two and
that's it, or one or whatever.
But anyway, and remember thatNeely is at
wholeanimalwellnesscomwholeanimalwellnesscom.
So if your dog has runny poops, they're vomiting, they're
itching.
I've seen Neely work with someof the worst pets ever Skin,
(21:00):
black hair, totally gone, alldifferent types of things and
been able to help pet parentsclear that up and clear it up
without putting more toxins intheir body.
So get over towholeanimalwellnesscom
wholeanimalwellnesscom and Neelywill help you.
Okay, neely, when is the nextclass coming up?
