Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's a little right
and a lot wrong.
The Raw Show with Rick Walkerand Taylor Armstrong.
Now here's Rick and Taylor.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Just before we
started taping, there was a ring
at your house.
What happened there?
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Well, I got a package
delivered and it's just in time
because we're doing the reunionnext week.
So I ordered some earrings.
So, yes, we're going to open it, because I'm not exactly sure
what's going on in this box.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
There's a lot of
excess packaging going on there.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
A lot of packaging,
and the box is kind of big too.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Oh, here we go, I'm
scared oh.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
It's like I bought
myself a gift.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
And that big of a box
.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
So here's the preview
of the earrings you're going to
wear at the reunion?
No, at Bravacon or Reunion.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Well, I'm going to
have to stay tuned to see where
I wear them.
I'm still unpacking Morepackaging.
Now there's a bag More stuff.
Oh wait, let's just recap.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yeah, there's a box
for the earrings.
Unbelievable.
Unbelievable, ridiculous howlong does it take to get ready
for a reunion?
Because you guys are all dolledup on those things.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, they usually
block us like two hours for hair
and makeup.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
And what do you?
Just show up in sweats and nomakeup.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
And then let them
work their magic.
Do you have to do your hairfirst?
Speaker 2 (01:44):
No, we don't have to
do anything.
We just show up and let themtake over.
It's pretty awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Do you bring your
wardrobe with you that day?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yes, yeah, and we
submit different options and
then we narrow it down anddecide what's going to work with
everyone else's outfits, sothat we're all coordinated or so
that we don't all show up inthe same color.
So it makes a little bit moresense aesthetically.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Do you get to see
what the other ones are going to
wear ahead of time, or are yousurprised when they show up out
there on the set?
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Well, typically I
would just be surprised, but I'm
so close with so many of thegirls that we've kind of shown
each other oh, I found this one,I found that one.
I was with Shannon yesterdayand she got one of her dresses
delivered and so I got to seethat option and we were kind of
showing each other somedifferent pictures of things
(02:40):
that we found.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Yeah, what were you
doing with Shannon?
By the way, you're all over theinterwebs, the worldwide
interwebs helping her move.
There was a comment under oneof the pictures with you and
Shannon where she's moving.
You're helping her pack.
God bless you.
I don't know how you can addNobody wants to help anybody
(03:03):
pack and move, but there was acomment under there that the
homeowner's association wasbooting her because they didn't
want Bravo cameras around andthere's too much going on.
What's the story there?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Yeah, they.
She's filmed there in yearspast and they just decided they
didn't want filming to go on inthe neighborhood any longer.
Wow so without permissions wecan't do it, so it has to be
homeowners.
You know the county.
There's a lot more that goesinto it, just getting permits
and they just decided they don'twant it around, so it's it's.
It was disappointing.
(03:36):
Not to mention, can I just tellyou that packing with Shannon
Storms Boudre is exactly how youwould envision it being
complete chaos.
Got to her house yesterday andI mean she's lived there for a
while and the twins just wentaway to college, so she's got
this huge house filled withstuff and it's her running from
(04:01):
room to room starting a projectand then leaving that room and
starting another project inanother room.
And I could just tell when Igot there was like oh lordy, and
so I go okay, what day is theactual moving day?
She's like 8 am, 8 am.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
I go wait 8 am the
next, 8 am in existence.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
that one, yeah, the
one coming up that one, and so
not one thing in the kitchen hadbeen packed, not one.
And when I tell you thatShannon has 500 plates minimum
and I'm not getting one bit, andthen I got almost all the
(04:46):
plates packed and this is likefour hours in and then she goes
oh, we forgot all the Christmasplates.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Where does she keep
the Christmas plates?
Speaker 2 (04:59):
They were in another
room.
They were in the garage orupstairs and I was like you've
got to be kidding me, like youare never gonna use all these
plates and the amount of kitchenstuff.
It was just insane.
But of course we had fun andlaughing, but it was just
exactly what you think packingwith Shannon would be like Wow
(05:20):
it should be its own show.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Yeah, I should.
Packing with Shannon, thatwould be Also.
Let's stay on the topic ofShannon for a second, because on
the recent episode of RealHousewives of Orange County, you
hosted a party at a pumpkinpatch.
I mean, I'm looking at that andI'm looking at you and I'm
going you're miserable, youdon't want to be at a freaking
(05:43):
pumpkin patch.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Well, in of all the
places for a girl from Oklahoma
to do a party in SouthernCalifornia, a pumpkin patch.
I mean could you take mefurther back to my roots?
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Hay bales and corn
stalks and I'm like, well, I
feel like I'm right at home.
So yeah, I mean, and thepumpkin carving lady was way too
pro and the girls were like, they're picking out these like
complicated stencils and I'mthinking that we're never.
Let's just go with thetraditional two triangles with
(06:18):
the little smile and just keepit simple, stupid.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yeah, there's a lot
of real easy sex jokes going on
there, a lot of double entendre.
I mean, come on you guys, hey, let's cut a butthole in this
thing.
I was glad to see that you didnot participate in the butthole
jokes.
The butthole jokes.
(06:43):
I'm so proud, my girl, that'smy girl.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
I know, I know right
I'm so, I'm so classy, very good
.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Okay, so Shannon.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Wheelbarrows yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Shannon came late.
Well, yes, she showed that shehad been getting an IV for
something.
It was gross, it was allswollen and everything.
She looked agitated.
But then the story kind ofunfolds about her, between her
and that she had been talkingabout child protective services
(07:14):
and all that stuff.
Who's right and who's wrongthere?
It's hard to tell from watchingthe TV show.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
I think the thing
that really stirred up the pot
was that Benjyn told Gina thatit was said at the tequila party
.
And so that started the wholewheelbarrow rolling all over
again.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Ah, I see what you
did there.
See, see she avoids thebutthole jokes everybody, but
she'll go straight in for thewheelbarrow material.
I like that, okay so, but Ikind of feel I know you and
Shannon are pals.
I mean, nobody would helpanybody pack, I don't even know
(07:54):
if I helped you pack.
I feel I've helped you pack, okay, okay, but I feel bad for
Gina that it keeps coming up.
It's a one-time event.
Everybody has one-time thingsthat happen in their lives.
You know, and this just seemsto keep resurfacing and I can
see do you talk, do you feel thefrustration?
(08:17):
Or is it just really goodediting?
Speaker 2 (08:21):
I definitely can feel
that Gina's like enough with
this.
This was a long time ago andshe just, you know, let's move
on with the whole thing, and Ithink that everyone feels that
way.
You know that we don't need tokeep rehashing it, because it's
not like it happened yesterday.
But yeah, it's just resurfacedfor some reason and it's I don't
(08:45):
know that it's gonna end quiteyet.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
So stay tuned.
Well there be.
Do you think that will be oneof the topics still when the
reunion tapes in a couple ofweeks?
Speaker 2 (08:58):
I definitely think
it'll be something that's
discussed at the reunion.
I mean that's what the reunionis all about.
We live it, then we watch itall, then we go talk about it
all and all the things that wedidn't know were said and then
are now festering up and so allof those topics.
It's a long day and we go overpretty much everything that was
(09:20):
controversial during the season.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
As you watch each
episode, are you collecting more
information that you didn'tknow for the reunion, like
especially about you, know thestuff with you and Heather even.
Are you personally likesurprised and go?
Oh, I need to bring that up.
Do you make notes or how do youdo that?
Speaker 2 (09:44):
I definitely learn a
lot watching the shows,
especially because, being a newmember of the OC team, there was
a lot of backstory, like Ididn't know anything about the
Gina situation with the DUI.
I didn't even know about thatwhen I joined on to be the
friend, and so that was all newinformation for me.
(10:06):
So I'm learning, as I'mwatching the show, different
things from the past that willdefinitely come up at the
reunion, and now I'll be able tohave an opinion about things
that I wouldn't have necessarilyhad one about before because I
wasn't privy to all the details.
Yeah, what about your?
Speaker 1 (10:23):
stuff, though.
What about your stuff withHeather?
I mean, are you picking up anynew things Like gosh?
I didn't know.
She said that and I'm gonna addthat in for some of the
questions I have.
Are you nervous about any ofthat, or how are you?
Speaker 2 (10:37):
preparing for that.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Preparing for that.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
I definitely get
nervous with the reunion because
it's just so much conflict andconfrontation.
And at the end of the day, Icare about all of these women
and so even watching theconflict between them excluding
me is something that can kind ofhurt my heart.
I'm the sensitive soul, sowatching them be unkind to one
(11:01):
another that kind of stirs me upa little bit, but with my stuff
I think more what I realized isthe things I didn't say in the
moment, because, as Heather andI were having conflict, there
were things I wish I would havesaid right then, and so now this
gives me an opportunity to saythose things I should have said
in the moment, but as I wastaking it all in, I wasn't
(11:23):
processing it enough to actuallysay and speak my mind, which is
something I'm working on beingbetter out of my life in general
.
So having the opportunity tosay those things at the reunion
is important to me.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
It's a good point
because really that is doesn't
everybody wish they had that inlife in general, like I wish I
had a reunion because I wish Iwould have said this in that
circumstance and I didn't.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
But now I get another
chance to and that's
interesting, I know, because alot of people like they tread
the reunion just because it'slike so stressful and it's just
like a huge, long day ofconflict.
But Shannon loves the reunionand so I'm trying to use the
Shannon approach because she'slike the reunion your day.
(12:08):
You can say everything that youdidn't get to say or everything
you wanna say, and it's yourchance to speak your mind.
And so I'm trying to put it inthe Shannon mindset.
Never thought I'd say thatShannon mindset.
No, I mean.
Just kidding.
Shannon, I love you.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
It would be great,
though, if you could just do
that in life, every relationshipyou've had, every everything,
if you could just go.
Well, wait till the reunion.
I'm gonna say all the things Iwish I would have said, so I
know.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Maybe people should
like call up their friend after
they have a big fight and say, listen, let's get together and
have a reunion so we can rehashall of our problems.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Yeah, yeah, and bring
cameras in, yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
And just to add a
little more pressure.
We have millions of peoplewatching at the same time.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
And we have receipts,
we have footage from our
relationship, from that youdidn't know about, from the past
six, eight months or whatever.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
Exactly so, all the
things you think you're gonna
say.
I have actual footage to backup what I'm gonna say.
Yeah, yeah, that's good times.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
I wanna a couple of
things coming up.
Today on this show we're goingto show the first frame from you
filming Masterpiece, thecontroversial movie Masterpiece,
that, the one that you asked ifHeather would want to be part
of.
And so today, right here onthis podcast, for those that are
(13:29):
watching and not just listening, I'm gonna see a still frame of
the one and only TaylorArmstrong today.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
So I'm excited.
I'm excited for us to get backin the studio and finish
Masterpiece.
I mean, I'm thinking that wemight get a chance to do that
pretty soon.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Yeah, it's the.
You know the SAG strike isgoing on right now, and as soon
as some details with that arecleared up for the production,
then you're back in action,sister.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I know we've said a
great script.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
We do have one frame
for you to show everyone, and
also your other movie, guardians, is done and turned out really
good.
It's gonna be coming out prettysoon and that was all done
before the strike, so you're ina good position, congrats.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
I know I'm excited,
Thank you.
And I'm super excited that Ihad my very first film role.
I got to be in a movie withEric Roberts.
I mean, that's about as cool asit gets.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
So yeah, the first
frame from Masterpiece, the big
controversial movie that Heatherdid not want to be in, is
coming up on this show here injust a few minutes.
So stick around for that.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
All right, so watch
what happens live is coming up
for you on Tuesday, and so thething that's kind of crazy is I
fly to New York on Monday, dowatch what happens on Tuesday,
fly home on Wednesday and filmthe reunion on Thursday.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Ooh, wow.
And then a month of sleepbefore BravoCon.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Exactly so.
By the time Friday rolls around, I'm gonna be good and
exhausted and I probably won'tspeak for about three days, but
I'm gonna be on with Lisa Barlowfrom Salt Lake City.
And she is iconic and I havenot met her before, so I'm
really looking forward to that, and I wish they wouldn't always
(15:30):
book me with the gorgeous ones, because now I gotta sit next
door.
Speaker 1 (15:35):
They think that about
you too.
So you see, you know, when youmeet one of these housewives for
the first time, like this one, just Lisa from Salt Lake Are you
guys just fake bitches, justfaking it.
Hey, oh, I'm a fan.
Sidekiss, I guess is it justthe fakest thing you've ever
done, or in the top ten at least.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Depends really.
I mean because we all seesometimes we we see a lot of
each other at Bravo con.
I didn't get to meet her atBravo con, but our talent
producer from OC is also thetalent producer for Salt Lake
City, so I was texting himyesterday and I'm like I'm gonna
DM her just to say hi before wemeet.
So and he loves her, so I'mhoping that that'll be some
(16:23):
commonality that we can, we canshare.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
About Clark yeah, but
are you so?
You won't be like.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Actually it's their
premiere, so I Don't think I'll
get to see.
I might get to see the episodebefore we, before we film
together, but it's a big day forSalt Lake.
Oh, okay, and we won't have anew episode out yet because
we're filming on Tuesday, so ournew episode won't air till
Wednesday.
So the pumpkin patch will bethe last that I'll be able to
(16:56):
talk about we all want to seebackstage.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
It watch what happens
live.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Okay, it'll be an
exclusive of our little raw show
podcast here.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
So, um, yeah, yeah,
we can actually all I know I can
and we can communicate duringmy hair and makeup, because my
makeup artist in New York is oneof the funniest human beings
that you'll ever meet and shewill keep you rolling, laughing
the whole time.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
So you got to have
some Priscilla and Julius during
yeah, let's go, let's do ournext show right then, and there
then let's do that.
Okay, yeah, samantha RadcliffeSam, who is in your movie
Guardians with you as she playsthe bartender in that movie.
Yeah, great girl, really cool.
(17:43):
She's a also Excited that shewas in a movie with you.
She's been a fan since theBeverly Hills days and Big fan,
okay.
So I got to tell you whathappened.
Listen to this and then we'regonna show your picture from
masterpiece.
I don't know if you know this ornot, because you're not a
little boy, and Thank you.
(18:05):
And you've never been one andyou don't have one.
You don't, you don't, you don'town one, you never purchased
one, you never adopted one, younever gave birth to one, right,
you know?
So no little boys, yeah, no, solittle dudes will do this for
some reason.
(18:25):
I'm I'm positive that I did itwhen I was little.
When you go into a publicrestroom the first time and you
you see a urinal for the firsttime because you don't have
those at home You're a littlebit confused About how the whole
thing works and you kind ofhave to go in.
Either your dad shows you oryou just go.
(18:45):
Oh, that's what, that's whatyou do.
So when little guys go in,they're used to just dropping
their drawers pretty much downto the ankles and In standing
there and peeing.
So you walk into a bathroom onoccasion at some public event,
public place, and there'll be alittle dude in there with his
(19:05):
pants around His ankles, pee,and you're like, oh, I remember
I used to do that, you didn'tknow, you know, I Didn't know.
It's like let him finish and hedidn't know what he's doing.
So I see, I didn't even knowthat yeah, yeah, okay, little
dudes, because I mean they dowhen they get, when they get
toilet trained, you know they'restanding there basically with
(19:27):
nothing, no pants on, or it'sdown around their ankles,
whatever.
So they do it at the urinaluntil they're grow up enough to
go.
Oh, no one's doing that.
I should probably not do that.
So Yesterday, taylor, I'm in aPublic restroom for a second and
I walk in and I see that exactscenario, with one exception.
(19:51):
This is a 45 year old man.
Yeah, what is happening?
I literally it's a sharp.
It's a tough move for me tomake that sharp of a U-turn, but
(20:15):
I did it.
I think I grazed the shoulderon a wall, I don't know.
The adrenaline was going.
I was trying to get out ofthere.
I've never seen a grown ass manand I circle the word ass
standing at a urinal with hispants all the way down on the
floor like that.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
You're not going to
be able to unsee this.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
No, I can't, I can't,
okay.
So are you ready to reveal thebig first?
I mean, it's not a big deal,it's just a still frame and
image of you from your your rolein Masterpiece, and you play a
TV anchor named Shalon Craig.
That's a cool thing.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Right.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
And you know what?
Speaker 2 (21:00):
One thing I loved
about the script there is a, an
earlier version of Shalon yeah, and instead of it being Shalon
one and Shalon two, they calledit young Shalon.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
Now here's.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
I'm just going to say
it's everything they can.
Maybe do not to call me oldShalon.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
That would be the
alternative.
See, they took the nice way out.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
Shalon one and Shalon
two.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
No, that's not that's
not screenplay protocol.
You see, you got to write it in.
Typically, though, how it'swritten in the screenplay set
will show in the in the credits, and so you look for a young
Shalon, and they wouldn't wantto put old Shalon in there.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
They just because
you're like modern day TV anchor
girl but I could have said, Icould have said modern day
Shalon, modern day Shalon.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
And then flashback
Shalon, something like that.
It's a lot of words, but yeah,but.
But I mean she's the girl thatplayed you as young Shalon Craig
was.
How old is she in the movie?
Like to enter 20 or something, right?
Speaker 2 (22:10):
20s, yeah, 20.
Well, yeah, because then whenI'm old Shalon, yeah, because
then it's 20, it's about 20years later when I'm me, yeah,
when you're old Shalon, but lookhow lovely you look as old old
Taylor.
I'm expecting some good editing.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Yeah, Well, let's
take a look at the.
Are you ready?
Are you so excited?
Speaker 2 (22:37):
I'm super excited.
This is the first time I'veseen this.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Yeah, so here it is.
We will step back and just putit on screen for a couple of
seconds and here it is.
Wow, there you go.
What do you think?
You look like a TV anchor.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
I think I need to
call KTLA and see if they have
any openings.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Yeah, you know who's
going to see it and call you
immediately is Dallas Reigns.
So, hey, barry, how you doing?
I'll get some cocktails, I'llbe over at the Hoosies and you
know, let's get together.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
I didn't realize.
I didn't know you did that.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
We should talk about
TV and some stuff.
I got some stuff.
I'll wear my cuff links andwe'll see you there.
Talk about the weather.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
That's what I thought
.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
I love Dallas Reigns.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
He's the best.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
For those that don't
know, Dallas has been the
weather guy.
On which network is it?
Nbc In Los Angeles ontelevision for decades and he's
a piece of work.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
And he is like I mean
, there is no such thing as
young Dallas and old Dallas, because he doesn't age.
He's like a soap opera star.
He looks exactly the same.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
That guy is amazing
Some movements on camera that
are unbelievable.
I think subconsciously he'sdoing some like sexual moves for
the ladies in the audience toshow that he's still got some
video, because you can justwatch it next time you watch.
See if you don't think he'sdoing that.
But that's just for our areaand the Valley viewers, so
(24:13):
anyway, okay, well there you goand he knows who he is.
I am and you can watch him on.
You can pick him up on YouTubeand check out some of his action
too.
But well, congratulations oneverything, sister.
I mean the one movie in the can, one to come as soon as the
screen actors guild strike, andthey've got some different
(24:35):
waivers and interim agreementsthat are taking place, so
that'll all take care of itself.
Congratulations on your moviesso far, and how do you feel
about those before we sign offtoday?
How did you feel leaving theset and after you finished
filming?
Those are some late nights.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Yeah, I had so much
fun doing it.
I just love it.
It was, you know, at first Iwas a little bit nervous, being
a rookie after and kind ofgetting my feet wet with the
industry, and I learned a lotand it was a lot more fun and a
lot less intimidating than Ithought it was going to be.
And I will say those were somelate nights, I feel, my last
(25:18):
scene of Guardians.
I think I got in the car at 3am.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Yeah, it was crazy.
It's a lot of waiting aroundand then okay, go you're on now.
Go, go, go.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
So much you have to
kind of keep your momentum, you
know, for staying in characterwhen you do have a lot of that
waiting around time.
So that's something that I hadto learn.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
It would have been,
it kind of would have been nice
if Heather or one of your otherBravo sisters would have been in
the movie with you.
I mean, even just the waitingaround part would have been nice
for that too.
But I mean it would have beenkind of cool to see you guys you
know, interact and on cameratogether in a movie.
