The brothers explore why Drake filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG), accusing them of manipulating streams to artificially inflate the popularity of Kendrick Lamar’s song Not Like Us.
The conflict escalated after Drake refused Lucian Grainge’s request to perform in Israel, followed by a ceasefire announcement in Gaza, which reportedly marked the beginning of their fallout.
Drake alleges UMG lowered licensing fees, paid influencers, and even manipulated Apple’s Siri to redirect users to Lamar’s song instead of his own. Additionally, he claims UMG is using similar tactics to tarnish his image—much like they did with Michael Jackson—because of ongoing disputes over royalties and master recordings.
