ð¥ NgÄ mihi nui ki a koutou katoa, nau mai hoki mai ki te kaupapa kÅrero Real Talk.
This week we are welcoming Michael Willis back to the kÅrero to share his journey since we last spoke on the podcast just over a year ago.
Michael talked about his realisation that heâs already won as a father, providing everything for his whÄnau that he never had as a child: Warmth, food, protection, love, empowerment, and time. Michael also spoke about the mana he feels as he has embodied becoming his true, authentic self, and what a day living his dream life now looks like for him.
Michael opened up about his experience being casually told that he was âtoo MÄoriâ and that to succeed in his industry, he needed to act âmore whiteâ. All this, after the same co-worker had made inappropriate sexual remarks to him on previous occasions. If the shoe was on the other foot, we all know how that would have gone down.
This kÅrero is deep, vulnerable, and full of power. There are so many empowering takeaways in here from this incredible tane!
