This kōrero with Kylie Rose from Porirua Women’s Centre has been a long time coming! Kylie’s has over 22 years of experience as a social worker in the Porirua community, working for Oranga Tamariki, in the Family Harm Team with the NZ Police, and now as the Team Leader at the Porirua Women’s Centre.
She shares her passion for helping rangatahi, how to best support our rangatahi and encourage them to be open and share their burdens and how to enable them to get the support they need.
Kylie spoke about the services they offer at the Centre, how the community also support the centre, and setting boundaries for herself with bringing work home.
