Designer & photographer Brian Hickey comes on the program to talk about his new Kickstarter campaign.
Total Star Wars Toys: The Palitoy Saga, is a book that takes an in-depth look at Palitoy’s role in the Star Wars toys phenomenon between 1977 and 1985.
There’s interviews with key figures at Palitoy, such as Bob Brechin Roger Morrison, and many more, including Jim Swearingen from Kenner. You are going to find out a lot of untold stories, see lots of pictures and get some of Brian’s own amazing toy photography. It’s the story from initial concepts to marketing campaigns, to variant toys that we didn’t see here in the U.S.
"Total Star Wars Toys" delves deep into the Palitoy story, revealing the challenges, triumphs, and behind-the-scenes details that made these toys so iconic.
When not creating books, Brian designs award winning exhibitions for museums and visitor experiences in Ireland's tourism and heritage sector.
