What exactly qualifies you as a grown up? Paying your bills? Managing your emotions? Turning 21?
Raffi Grinberg has some thoughts, which he taught in a popular course at Boston College called Adulting 101, and which he has now turned into a book, published last month entitled "How to Be a Grown Up: The 14 Essential Skills You Didn’t Know You Needed (Until Just Now)." Raffi is a business leader, author, and educator and was also cofounder of The Constructive Dialogue Institute along with Jonathan Haidt.
Raffi is interested in helping today’s young adults build the confidence and resilience required to be a fully functional, and hopefully satisfied grown up. Because as a former career coach, he saw up close that while we’ve got tons of so-called highly trained adults graduating these days, many newly minted adults are more educated, and more lost than ever.
