(00:46):
Why is it important to hire aprofessional for biohazardous
situations?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
You know it's a great question.
Honestly, over the last 20years, the number of unintended
deaths in homes has increaseddramatically, and what I mean by
that is it used to be that mostpeople passed away in the
hospitals.
Well, that's actually changednow and most people are passing
away in their homes.
There's a lot of reasons forthat.
It's more comfortable andthere's a variety of reasons for
it, but it creates a healthproblem for families.

(01:22):
If you know, someone passesaway and the family's not there
and unaware of the situation oranything, it really does create
a hazard.
At that point, you know, andit's there's a lot of things
going on.
One it's an emotional nightmare.
You know there's health risksand technical challenges to

(01:42):
cleaning up Someone who passesaway or unintended death is what
we call them and there'sdecomposition, there's
microbials, there's odors, andso there's a lot that needs to
be addressed and it's importantrecommends that families hire a

(02:03):
professional company to come inand really clean up the
biohazard and bring everythingback to where it was in the
prior state.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I can imagine the emotions involved in this.
I lost my older sister and myfather and I couldn't imagine it
.
I mean, you're walking intothese situations.
That must be really tough, huh.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Yeah, and you know if you think for the family, once
you see an image it's hard toget it out of your head, and you
know.
So you know, one, the familyreally having to not only see it
but then clean it upemotionally that can really stay
with someone.
And two, there's a lot ofhealth risks, you know, with

(02:54):
cleaning up.
You know there's all kinds ofpathogens, there's all kinds of
putting the family members atrisk, for you know hepatitis,
other viruses and everythingelse is at risk.
For you know hepatitis, otherviruses and everything else.
And you know, and then even ifyou clean it up, really the
challenges don't end there ofjust cleaning up the initial of

(03:14):
what you see.
You know the odor can be verycomplex.
It requires, you know, different specialized equipment,
techniques and expertise.
Because expertise Because onceyou remove some of the source of
where the odors is coming from, the decomposition process
really releases a variety ofdifferent types of gases with a
complex.
They're very strong odors andthey can linger and so it is

(03:38):
important to get everything backas it was, to hire a
professional biohazard orrestoration company such as
HazardClean.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
So Lysol alone is not going to do it.
Huh, no, unfortunately not Loveit.
You have a wonderful rest ofthe day.
We'll see you in the nextepisode.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Thanks, bye, garfield .
