Welcome back everyone.
This is Garfield Bowen, co-host, slash producer, back in the
studio with my man, chad Maloney.

(00:47):
Chad, how are you doing?

Speaker 3 (00:48):
today Doing great Garfield Doing great, happy to
be here.
So.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Chad.
What type of services doesRestoration Companies offer?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Oh wow, there's a lot to that.
We're the type of company thatno one really wants to hire, but
everyone needs to hire at somepoint in their life and we offer
everything, from when your homegets flooded or if you have a
pipe that leaks or anything else.
We get some water damage inyour home.

(01:23):
Toilets overflow, tubs overflowthere's lots of variety to that
with some water damage in yourhome.
Toilets overflow, tubs overflowthere's lots of variety to that
with the water damage part.
But you know you move on to theyou know kind of the fire
damage.
You know we do mold.
We also do on the other side ofit, kind of like the trauma,
the biohazard.

(01:43):
If someone passes away, unfortunately in their home.
We take care of that.
So we bring your home back towhere it was prior to that event
and we're the ones you callwhen something unfortunate
happens in your home and that'swhat we specialize in.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Do you get a mixture of different type of requests or
is there one that you get morethan others in terms of services
that you provide?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
You know that's a great question.
It's really a variety.
That's what's great I meanabout our industry is you know
we're helping our localcommunity in so many different
ways.
I would say that you know waterunfortunately does a lot of
damage to our homes and so we doget a lot of water.
You know calls when pipes leak.

(02:32):
Or you know maybe a kid leavesthe bathtub on and it overflows
the house or toilet.
You know leaks throughout thehome or whichever.
So, uh, in those instances youknow it's important to call uh
quickly.
And you know get a restorationcompany out there because you
know mold starts to grow within24 to 48 hours.

(02:54):
And uh, you know, a lot oftimes you you can think that.
You know you have somehomeowners that you know take a
shot back and think that theydried it up, but actually the
wall is actually wet.
And so we go in there with ourspecialized tools and procedures
and processes and everythingand we make sure that that home

(03:16):
is actually dry, that it wasback to before that tub
overflowed or that pipe leakedor anything else.
So we take care of that becauseyou don't want to get to the
next stage, which is the moldstage.
And you know we get calls forthat on a daily basis as well,
and you know with mold it canreally do a number on not just

(03:38):
the structure of your home, because it's a food source you
mold, but also to your health,to the occupants of that home.
Mold can really impact thehealth of the people living
there.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
What's the scariest thing?
I know you got your suits, where you get suit up, put on
your hat, your hood, yourgoggles and what's the scariest
type of calls do you get?

Speaker 3 (04:09):
You know for scary I'd say.
You know it gets into thebiohazard part of it.
You know if someone passes awayor there's a traumatic event
you know crime scene, those typeof things those can be
emotional on, you know, thefamilies that experience that,
but also on the restorationcompany that comes in.

(04:32):
That you know is cleaning it up, because you know they have to
be in full PPE or the suits andthey have to protect themselves
and you know there wererespirators and everything else.
And you know cleaning up.
You know something that is verytraumatic and when you're when
we were going in to clean thatup, we're seeing it firsthand.

(04:54):
Not always does the family seeeverything and so you know then
that's for a reason you knowwe're going in to clean it, so
that way the family doesn't haveto see you know what occurred
there or you know how it looks, because then that image can stay
with them for life and sothat's why they call us in, you
know, to make sure that we go inthere and you know change that

(05:18):
visual of what it looked likeand and also to make it safe,
because the body and there's alot of bloodborne pathogens and
everything else that you know ifthe family had to clean it up
or if someone that wasn'tproperly trained clean it up,
they could be exposingthemselves to to risk, and you

(05:39):
know that's not what we want.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
So these difficult times, you've got to leave it to
a restoration company we cantrust, right, yeah, garfield.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
I mean, that's what we're there for, that's what
we've been trained to do and,like I said, it's a great.
It's a service for thecommunity and it makes a big
difference for those that areimpacted by unfortunate events.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Love it, chad.
You have a wonderful rest ofthe day.
We'll see you in the nextepisode, you too, garfield.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Have a great day.
