"There was rumblings in the off season about this where he was posting cryptic messages and stuff like that and we just could not afford to lose this young man. There were things, you know, off the field and stuff like that where I can understand why a team in a front office would have pause about giving someone so much money. But he's shown a lot of signs of maturity and I think he's ready to go into that next level of his career and become a great receiver."
