Part 1 of 3 of our special episode breaking down the current state of political affairs in America. Political and civic life in the United States rests on a set of fundamental principles and values including equality, rule of law, limited government, and representative government. Equality, rule of law, limited government, and representative government are examples of fundamental principles and values in American political and civic life. What do those principles and values actually mean? What does it mean to have equality? What does it mean to have freedom, liberty and justice? What is the law and our government supposed to do to make our lives better? We tackle the big issues in this portion and start to get more into what our government should look like and what we actually elect our representatives to do.
