Buddha's Five Remembrances, often recited in Buddhist practice, are reflections on the nature of life and human existence. They are:
- I am of the nature to grow old.
- Aging is unavoidable.
- I am of the nature to experience illness.
- Illness is unavoidable.
- I am of the nature to die.
- Death is unavoidable.
- Everyone and everything I love will change,
- and I will be separated from them.
- My actions are my only true belongings.
- I cannot escape the consequences of my actions.
- My actions are the ground upon which I stand.
These remembrances serve as a reminder to live mindfully and ethically, accepting the impermanence of life.

The Brothers Ortiz
The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways. Gabe Ortiz becomes a third-highest ranking officer in all of Texas while his younger brother Larry climbs the ranks in Puro Tango Blast, a notorious Texas Prison gang.
