Feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety as your biggest dreams start to become reality?

I get it. You’ve journaled, prayed, and vision-boarded for something bigger, and now it’s here - a new opportunity, a shift in a relationship, or a deep knowing that you’ve outgrown the old version of you. But instead of celebrating, you’re spiraling, questioning if you’re ready, strong enough, or worthy enough.

If this resonates, then this episode is for you.

Here’s what no one tells you: the moment your breakthrough arrives, your fear often tries to shut you down. I'm walking through my own significant midlife transition right now, experiencing firsthand how even when you’re ready for change and done the work, expansion can still feel messy, stretching you in unexpected ways.

In this episode, I’m sharing what I’m learning in real-time about navigating change and embracing the messy middle of personal growth. I'll reveal how to reclaim your confidence even when things feel uncertain and find purpose after motherhood.

✔️ Discover why it's okay not to have all the answers when a big opportunity appears, and how to trust your intuition as your nervous system catches up with your spirit.

✔️ Learn how to revisit your "why" and define the non-negotiable feelings you want to protect, ensuring you stay in peace and alignment as you expand.

✔️ Uncover better questions to ask yourself, shifting from "Can I do this?" to "How can I do this in a way that honors who I am becoming?"

You are not behind, crazy for wanting more, or selfish for choosing yourself. You are standing on sacred ground, ready to embrace this new chapter with courage. So, listen now to gain the clarity and support you need to shine brighter than ever before.

(00:00):
Welcome to the Rise to Shine podcast with Noel Castis, where
we ignite the spark to discover your favorite self.
It is time to get real, ladies. Hello, hello and welcome to the
Rise to Shine podcast. I am your host, Noel Castis.

(00:21):
I am thrilled that you are here today and we're going to get
real about something many of us do not want to talk about.
Or maybe we just don't like to talk about it.
So let's get right into it. So here we go.
You asked for it, you journaled about it.
You prayed for it. You told your best friend.

(00:44):
I just know something bigger is coming.
Maybe you put it on your vision board, or maybe you whispered it
on your morning block. Could have even been through
tears. You could have cried over it
when no one was watching becauseyou wanted it so badly.
And now it's here. Maybe it is the IT is showing up

(01:11):
as an opportunity. Could be a new job, a shift in a
relationship, good or bad. Maybe it's an edge to move, or
even just a deep knowing that you have outgrown the old
version of you. And suddenly, here's the biggie.

(01:35):
You're not celebrating. You're actually starting to
spiral. You're starting to question if
you're really ready, if you can handle it, if you're strong
enough, if you are worthy enough, and if this is you.

(01:56):
I want to speak directly to yourheart today.
Because here is what no one tells you, or at least no one
told me, That the moment your breakthrough starts to show up
is the same moment that often times your fear will try to shut

(02:18):
you down. And I'm going to tell you that I
am literally in the thick of a transition moment.
As I am recording this. An opportunity has opened up.
It is not forced. It wasn't manufactured, but it
is one that feels like it's meeting me at just the right

(02:43):
time. It is a door that I have thought
about and maybe even dreamt about a little bit is suddenly
here. And I have to tell you, it's
something that I was kind of planting seeds for and it was
something that I was holding in my heart for a while now.

(03:07):
But it was this vision that feltreally far away still.
And now all of a sudden it's like overnight.
Things are shifting, and things are shifting really fast.
And now that I know it's here, Ifeel it in my gut and I want to

(03:28):
explain that I know I'm ready enough.
I know that I have the tools. I know I have the support.
I know that I have the heart forit.
But here's the honest truth. These questions have started to
creep in. What do I really want this to

(03:52):
look like now that the doors open?
And I've also started to spiral thinking how do I evolve and how
do I do this without overextending myself?
Can I actually stay in alignmentand grow without feeling burned

(04:12):
out? And then one of the biggest
questions that's happening is what's mine to carry and what is
not? Because I'm learning again that
expansion starts to bring new edges.
Even when you're ready for it, even when you're seasoned for

(04:34):
it, and even when you've done the work, it can still shake
you. It's still stretches you, and
it's still sure as heck humbles you.
I am learning this in very real time, and I'm learning this
because I realized this is a muscle.

(04:57):
And just like any other muscle, if you want to hold more, you
have to stretch before you strengthen, right?
And that is what I'm learning inthis real time unfolding.
And I'm not saying it's the ultimate truth for everyone, but

(05:19):
it's what feels real for me right now.
So like I always say, for this part, I want you to eat what you
want. Spit out the seeds, eat the
fruit, spit out the seeds, take what lands, leave the rest of
it. This is just my experience as a
woman that is starting to navigate expansion.

(05:41):
And here is what I am finding tobe true is that you don't have
to know exactly what comes next in order to say yes.
I know we love to have control and we want to know what is
coming next because we're like, OK, no, I need to know all of
the details in order for me to say yes to this.

(06:03):
Well, guess what? We don't have to know exactly
what comes next. And you're allowed to pause and
ask what do I really want now that I've been given what I
asked for? And I'm going to say that
receiving can feel very disorienting, not because it's

(06:25):
wrong, but because your nervous system is like catching up with
your spirit. So sometimes the panic isn't I'm
not ready because we like to panic, right?
And it is just a pattern that happens within us that we
automatically go to this patternspace and we instantly think, Oh

(06:49):
my gosh, it's because I'm not ready.
But actually what it is, is it often times is more like I don't
want to mess this up. I don't want to screw this up.
And then can I still do this andbe me?
Can I still be me through this process?

(07:09):
And can I expand and still protect my peace?
And I want to also preface this with with this because I know
that I'm talking about somethingthat's happening in my business.
But just to be clear, this isn'tjust about business.
This is for any of you that might be navigating any kind of

(07:31):
shift. Maybe there is a relationship
that's evolving or maybe it's even ending.
And yes, there are times that wewant something to end, but
there's fear in that and there'sthings that we have to work
through before we can reach that.
OK, this is what I was asking for, right?

(07:55):
Maybe it is a job that you're walking away from, even if you
loved it at one point, because that happens too.
I'm, I'm here to say that happened on both levels.
And a quiet decision that looks small on the outside but maybe

(08:16):
feels massive on the inside is another kind of shift I'm
talking about here. And one of the things that I
wish is I wish I had known this years ago.
That expansion doesn't always look like success.
And I put that in quotes. Sometimes it looks like choosing
peace, and sometimes it looks like freedom.

(08:39):
It's not always just about what success looks like.
And sometimes, like I said earlier, it looks like walking
away even when, and I'm going tosay this to you because this is
the real honest truth that I know I experienced.
Sometimes it looks like walking away even when there's no backup

(09:01):
plan. And it's just maybe like your
intuition that's talking to you.Maybe it's a whisper that is
saying you're meant for more. Maybe you're hearing and there's
confirmation in that you need toexpand, you need to move, but it
doesn't make sense. So here is what I am personally

(09:23):
doing in this moment, and I'm hoping that it will help you too
because this has been heavy. Like I think you think or I
think people think, or maybe I guess I thought that I would
just feel all of this excitementand I would be like, yes, here

(09:44):
we go. Stay in high energy, do all of
the things. And then all of a sudden it gets
here and you're like, Oh my gosh.
And we go into that old pattern of the panic.
But again, remember, the panic doesn't mean you're panicking
because you feel like you're notready.
You stink and know you're ready. You know that you are ready.

(10:06):
But it's a matter of like, Oh mygosh, can I hold the space for
this? Is this actually the right time?
What do I need to do? How am I going to stay the same
person that I was? And you know, we go through all
of these questions. So here's what I'm doing now
that I'm like working through inthe moment is I'm revisiting the

(10:30):
why. Not the strategy, not the
optics, but the heart behind what I wanted in the 1st place,
what I wanted in the 1st place. Why did I ask for this?
Why was I secretly hoping for this?

(10:50):
Go back to that why and revisit it and go back to the heart of
it and then define the feeling you want to protect.
What is your absolute non negotiable?
So for me, I'm realizing that for me, it's joy, it's freedom,

(11:11):
it's peace, it's alignment. Those are the most important
things for me. And if saying yes cost me those
things, then I have to say no. If it takes me out of my joy, if
it takes me out of my peace, if it takes me out of my alignment
or my freedom, that's when I have to renegotiate and go maybe

(11:33):
it is a no. And then ask some better
questions. Not can I do this?
Because that's like our typical one that we love to ask, can I
really do this? But how can I do this in a way
that honors who I have become orwho I am becoming?

(11:55):
How can I do this in a way that honors that?
And let it be messy for a minute.
It's OK. You're allowed to navigate it
before you just like Sprint intoit.
And that is the season that I'm in.
I'm taking some time to navigatethe process.

(12:17):
As a matter of fact, I literallyjust had a conversation with
someone about this right before I pressed record today.
And I'm allowing myself to navigate before.
I just feel like I have to jump into things.
You don't have to rush to clarity, but what I would advise

(12:39):
you to do and what I'm trying todo is just staying super, super
honest with myself. Stay honest with yourself
because that is going to be whathelps you navigate, what helps
you answer some of these bigger questions.

(13:03):
So I'm just going to go back over those again.
Revisit your why. Define the feeling you want to
protect, ask better questions and let it be messy for a
minute. Let it be messy.
I know we don't like messes. Oh gosh, it's like the worst,
right? When we are in a place where

(13:24):
we're like, this is so messy. I feel like sometimes we feel
like messy doesn't equate to success.
But just know the messy middle is absolutely 100% part of the
process. It's part of the process.

(13:44):
So before I close today, I want to leave you with something.
And I don't know, I was like, isthis a love letter?
Is what is this that I'm going to be leaving with them?
I think it really is just something to think about as like
a voice note for you and it's assuring you that someone sees

(14:11):
you, someone who is walking thispath to.
And honestly, words of affirmation, that is one of my
love languages. So I guess This is why it's easy
for me to put this out there, but it really is straight from
my heart to yours, because there's something about knowing

(14:33):
that you're not alone. I thought you're not crazy.
How many times as women do we say, Oh my gosh, I'm so thankful
to know that I'm not crazy. Someone else feels what I'm
feeling someone else because, you know, I, I'm going to tell
you, there's been a little bit of this shame of, you know,
gosh, I asked for this. I've been wanting this.

(14:56):
I have been desiring expansion. And then when it came, and not
just like in a little bit, I'm talking like it came at me from
all sides that everything was going to shift and change, and
it came much more rapidly than Ihad anticipated, Then all of a
sudden I was like, whoa, it's like that.

(15:17):
You know, when people say be careful what you asked for,
right? That was the initial feeling I
had. But then once I sat with it for
a while and I was able to pause in it for a little bit, I was
able to breathe. I was able to go to the messy.
I was able to reflect and go, isthis answering the call that I

(15:45):
had been asking for and where doI land in that space?
Once I was able to do that and once I was able to kind of talk
through this with a couple of mymentors and a couple of my
friends and family that I know have my best interest at heart
and our people that are rooting for me and genuinely care for
me. I knew that it was all in

(16:12):
perfect timing and that I was going to be able to navigate it.
Even if I didn't have all the answers right now, I have the
foundation to move in this expansion.
So this is just some words of affirmation from me to you.

(16:33):
And I just want to say this, Youare not behind.
You are not crazy for wanting more, and you are not selfish
for choosing yourself. You are standing on sacred
ground, right on the edge of becoming.

(16:57):
You don't need a full plan, you don't need to prove anything,
and you don't need to wait untilyou you feel 100% confident.
You don't need to wait for that. You just need to breathe.
You need to trust the version ofyou who asked for this to listen

(17:22):
to the part of you that already knows you're not the same woman
you were and that that's a good thing.
Because this next chapter, it doesn't require a different
version of you. It actually requires the truest
version of you, the one who values peace, the one who's

(17:49):
learning to let go, the one who's ready to receive with the
open hands and an open heart. So I say to you, take the step,
even if your knees are shaking, even if your voice wavers.
You don't have to become her overnight, because you're

(18:14):
already becoming. You're doing it right now, right
this instant, and I am so, so proud of you.
So that, my friend, is kind of like my virtual hug to you.
It's my words of affirmation from me to you.

(18:41):
And do again what you want with that.
Feel free to save it. Come back to it.
Maybe you're like, Oh my gosh, my friend needs to hear this.
She's going through something big and I feel like she's kind
of spiraling and I don't know what to say to her.
And maybe somewhere in this episode, there will be words

(19:05):
that she will feel seen and she will feel heard.
Because man, that makes such a difference, doesn't it?
Sometimes we're just like standing on the edge of
something. It's right there.
And oh gosh, I have been saying that my mom has probably heard

(19:27):
this a million times. My mom and my husband where I'm
like, I'm right there. I'm right on the edge.
And I know that it's getting closer and closer for me to jump
into this whole new realm. And even though I didn't know
what that looked like, even though I didn't know when it was
coming exactly, I knew it was close.

(19:49):
But man, when it starts to go there, when things start to
happen and it's almost like you're at the edge of a Cliff
and all of a sudden it's like 1 toe, another toe.
And all of a sudden you're like,Oh my gosh, here we go.
That's what it feels like. I feel like my heart's racing
already right now just thinking of it.

(20:13):
But if you are someone that is navigating this on your own and
you're like, now what? And you're in that now what
moment, please feel free to reach out to me, DM me, let's
talk, let's walk through this together because like I said, I
am walking through this in real time and this is not something

(20:34):
that is just happening overnight.
This is a process. So by the time you're listening
to this, I am probably still going to be walking in it,
walking through it, taking the leap of faith again.
So just know that and know that I am absolutely here for you

(20:58):
because it's exciting, but it's kind of scary and I have total
faith. Total faith that you are going
to be amazing. So friends, until next time,
keep rising, keep shining, and know the best is right here

(21:21):
waiting for you today and I willsee you next Tuesday.
