Nurse, where healing meets
humor, science and a touch ofmagic.
Hi, welcome back.
You've returned to this spaceand I'm honored to guide you
through this journey.
Today.
I'm Reva, and this is theMeditation Tapes, a series
designed just for you the nurses, doctors, caregivers, first
(00:35):
responders, ones who give somuch of themselves to the world.
We know that medicine, nursingand emergency response demand
everything Our bodies, our minds, our hearts and yet too often,
after witnessing somethingdeeply challenging, we don't get
the space to process it fully.
This meditation is here forthat it is a debrief, a sacred
(01:00):
pause and a moment ofrestoration.
A sacred pause and a moment ofrestoration.
Tonight, we step into anancient place where healers
across time have gathered towitness each other, to release
and to reclaim their strength.
Before we begin, let's set ourspace with a crystal
prescription tools to helpanchor and guide you on this
(01:21):
journey.
Today's meditation is one ofresilience anchor and guide you
on this journey.
Today's meditation is one ofresilience, renewal and deep
emotional release.
If you have one of these stones, hold it in your hand, place it
on your chest or just keep itnear you.
If not, simply visualize itsurrounding you in a protective,
healing glow.
If crystals really aren't yourthing or you're not sure about
(01:42):
their properties, you can alsothink of them as a device or a
tool to help you focus yourenergies and calm your mind.
So our crystal prescriptionstarts off with smoky quartz for
transmuting heavy emotions andgrounding energy.
Lapis lazuli for deep wisdom, clarity and truth in debriefing
Lapis lazuli for deep wisdom, clarity and truth in debriefing.
(02:04):
Black tourmaline for energeticprojection and reinforcing
boundaries.
Amethyst for calming thenervous system and inviting
inner peace.
Let these stones hold space foryou.
Now take a deep breath in andrelease, and let's begin.
(02:26):
As we begin, I want you to finda comfortable position.
You may choose to be seated, feeling the solid support
beneath you, or lying down, allowing your body to fully rest
.
However you position yourself, make sure you feel supported,
relaxed and at ease.
Position yourself, make sureyou feel supported, relaxed and
(02:48):
at ease.
This meditation will take about20 minutes, so give yourself
full permission to be here, present and in this moment.
We're going to use box breathingas the exercise for the breath
work to start this meditation.
I do have other examples ofbreath work in the earlier
episodes of the podcast, but fortoday, this method we're going
to prepare our minds and bodiesand use this simple breathwork
(03:10):
practice called box breathing, where we inhale for four seconds
and we hold for four seconds.
We exhale for four seconds andwe hold again for four, and you
can envision in your mind aslight pulse traveling around
the edges of a box.
So let's try it together.
(03:33):
You're Four, hold Two, three,four.
Exhale Two, three, four, holdTwo, three, four.
(03:53):
Now continue using that boxbreathing method and we're going
to do a head to toe relaxationBreathe in through your nose and
(04:17):
hold for four and then exhalesoftly through your mouth for
four and you're going to holdagain for a count of four.
So continue repeating thatprocess and let your breath
settle into a natural rhythm.
Each breath you're feeling fillyour torso and work its way
(04:38):
down into your belly.
As you exhale, you're going tofeel your body, start to relax
and soften and let go.
You're going to bring awarenessto the top of your head, your
crown, let any tension melt away, softening your forehead,
(04:59):
releasing your jaw, letting yourshoulders drop.
Feel the warmth spreading downthrough your arms, through your
hands, all the way to yourfingertips, as your chest rises
and falls.
Steady and calm.
Your stomach softens, releasingtension.
(05:20):
You continue to breathe andhold and exhale and hold.
With each breath, the breathand the warmth of the energy
moves deeper within you.
Your legs feel heavier now, sinking deeper into the support
(05:41):
beneath you.
Your feet relax, your anklesrelax all the way to your toes.
With each breath you arelighter, more at peace and with
one final repetitive breath inthrough your nose, two, three,
(06:05):
four.
Hold Two, three, four andexhale.
Two, three, four.
And hold Two, three, four.
(06:26):
We are now ready.
And hold Two, three, four.
We are now ready.
In your mind's eye, imagineyourself standing at the edge of
a vast, ancient forest.
The trees are towering wise, their leaves rustling softly in
the wind.
There's a scent of earth andrain in the air.
(06:48):
The ground beneath you is firm, grounding you.
Holding you.
Ahead of you, a pathway forms, illuminated by a warm golden
light.
This is the path walked bygenerations of healers before
(07:09):
you.
With each step forward, youshed the weight of the day, the
burdens you've carried, theimages that linger, the emotions
locked deep in your chest.
With each step, you feellighter and clearer.
(07:31):
You can feel more of yourselfin connection.
This path leads you to aclearing.
At its center stands an ancientstone circle, weathered yet
strong, glowing with a deep, ambient, pulsing light.
(07:58):
This is a sacred place, a placeof witnessing, of release, of
renewal.
In this space you feel safe, you feel supported, you feel
(08:19):
completely secure.
Around the circle, others havegathered Nurses, doctors,
paramedics, other healers fromacross time.
Some wear the white coats oftoday, others the robes of
(08:40):
centuries past, some bear thetools of their trade
Stethoscopes, herbs, staffs.
All of them know the burden ofcaregiving.
All of them understand they arehere to bear witness, to
(09:00):
support you, to hold space foryour healing.
You find a place in the circlemeant for just you.
At the center of the circleburns a fire, not of destruction
but of transformation.
(09:21):
This fire is ancient.
It has consumed the grief, theexhaustion, the weight of
healers before you, transmutingit into light and wisdom.
You step forward from yourplace.
You can feel its warmth.
Know that whatever you bring tothis fire, whatever you need to
(09:47):
release, it will take andtransform.
Now, gently, in your mind's eye, call forth what you have
carried, the moment that haslingered too long, emotions that
have weighed heavy Doubt, sorrow, fear, confusion, regret,
(10:15):
overwhelm, exhaustion, anger,sadness.
One by one, you place them intothe fire.
You watch as they are consumed.
You feel the weight lifting.
(10:40):
You feel that burden easing.
You know in this circle, inthis place, that you are not
alone.
You never have been.
As the fire burns away what nolonger serves you, something new
(11:00):
takes its place.
From the embers.
A light arises.
It slowly wraps around you, settling over you like a cloak.
This light, this warmthsurrounding you begins to infuse
(11:24):
you.
This is resilience, this isclarity, this is your strength,
reforged and given back to you.
You stand taller, your breathis steady, your head is level
(11:49):
and high, your shoulders arestraight and your heart feels
light.
The others in the circle nod toyou, some smile, some place a
hand on their heart, a silentgesture of solidarity.
You turn, stepping to the edgeof the circle, knowing the
(12:17):
safety, the security and thesupport here are here for you
always.
You can return to this circleand release these burdens and
reforge your resilience and yourstrength over and over again,
(12:38):
if you need to.
You leave behind you in thiscircle everything that does not
serve you in this moment.
Moment, the others in thecircle nod again to you.
(13:07):
You step back onto the path.
Each step carries you forward, back towards the forest.
You carry the wisdom of thecircle with you your strength
and your resilience.
A shimmering yet invisible cloakWrapped around you and yet
infusing you.
You can feel it permeatingthrough you Deeper and deeper
(13:32):
with each step that you take.
You know whenever you need youcan return as you enter the
forest and the shadows start todeepen, you feel the cool air
against your cheek.
You feel the safety, thesecurity.
(13:55):
You feel the solidarity of thedirt under your feet.
You can spend some time in thisplace allowing that cloak of
resilience and strength tocontinue wrapping around you,
(14:15):
deepening its presence withinyou.
You watch the light shiftthrough the leaves as they
rustle gently, overhead, thefaint sound of an animal,
perhaps in the quiet mysticforest in the distance.
(14:37):
You feel at peace and you feelcalm.
You watch as something stepsinto the clearing with you, with
(14:59):
you what this being represents, whether it is human, whether it
is animal, whether it ismythical.
This represents a reminder ofyour strength, of your safety in
this place, in this place andthis being will accompany you in
your mind's eye as you leavethis circle.
They are a part of you.
(15:21):
They are a part of you thatsymbolizes your innate strength,
your innate grounding andcenteredness.
They are there to remind you ofyour resilience and your
strength, as you need it, movingforward.
(15:43):
They are there to remind youthat you can return to this
place anytime you need to.
They're there to remind you tolet go and release these heavy
burdens and these deep woundsand not to hold on to them, for
(16:06):
to do so, you know, will makeyou sick, will injure you.
They are here to help you guardagainst that.
Slowly, you bring your awarenessback to your body.
(16:27):
As the shadows deepen and youreyes close, feel your breath
moving in through your nose andfilling your chest, traveling
through your torso, feeling yourbelly rise and as you exhale,
(16:48):
you feel yourself more fully, entering your body and feeling
the ground beneath you.
As you continue to slowlybreathe in through your nose,
gently begin to move yourfingers and your toes, keep
breathing and gently moving asyou come back to yourself and
(17:13):
when you are ready, you can openyour eyes, take a slow, deep
breath in and, as you exhale, know this you are held, you are
strong, you are never alone.
Remember the figure, the beingthat stepped forward in the
(17:36):
clearing.
If you have a journal with you, notes on your phone or even a
voice recording, take a fewmoments after the meditation to
note what you saw, what you felt, who the healers were in the
circle around you, the colors, the sensations, and take that
(17:59):
with you.
It will help you process anddebrief with your emotions as
you work through the release ofthe stress and the tensions and
the burdens that you let go of.
Thank you for allowing yourselfthis time and this space to
(18:20):
heal.
Taking care of yourself must bean ultimate priority.
Make sure after the meditationthat you hydrate, drink water,
drink warm tea, remaincomfortable and allow your body
(18:41):
to process the release of theemotions and the burdens that
you just walked through in thismeditation.
Trauma and the holding of itcauses physical effect on the
body, so as you release it, youcan expect physical sensations
(19:02):
associated with the release ofthose emotions and those burdens
.
Take care of yourself and untilnext time, love your faces.
