Welcome back to another episodeon the podcast.

(00:50):
Today I'm talking with LeahJones-Marcus, who is an
astrologer, a tarot reader andwriter of the Transformation
Forecast.
We really talk about tarot sortof unhooking from maybe
stereotypes or outdatednarratives unhooking from maybe
stereotypes or outdatednarratives.
Leah shares how she came from,a sort of religious upbringing
which I think a lot of us canresonate with that experience

(01:11):
when it comes to specificallylearning or using the tarot as a
you know divination method orjust as a tool to sort of
connect deeper with ourselves.
We really talk about using itas an impairment tool, and when
we recorded this podcast gosh, Ithink this was actually back in
February, march, so it wasquite a while ago.
This was before I began my ownpersonal journey of really

(01:32):
deepening my knowledge andinformation with the tarot, so
it was really cool to listenback to this.
We really talk about groundingourselves right within this
current astrology because it'sreally and again, it's
interesting, having had thisconversation at the beginning of
2025.
And we all know how intenseit's been, and, especially this
month when this is beingreleased, how intense the

(01:54):
astrology is specifically thisweek, right as this comes out on
Thursday, september 3rd, Ithink, yes, september 3rd.
We have Uranus stationingretrograde tomorrow and then we
have our full moon total lunareclipse on Sunday.
So this is just like theastrology is really big.
If you want to read about theUranus retrograde, I wrote a sub
stack on it, which you canclick the link below and head

(02:15):
over to my sub stack.
That'll be over there.
And, yeah, it was just a really, really beautiful conversation.
I am being more intentional, moving forward about podcast
interviews.
I'm I'm really have beenreflecting and sitting with
where I want the podcast to goand I love, I think, every

(02:38):
single person I interviewed onthe podcast really comes at a
perfect time, perfect place andin the past I've kind of said
yes to like everything and again, I love every single
conversation I've had and movingforward I'm just, I feel, like
again the podcast, I desire itto be a little bit more
intentional.
So I again I've been sittingwith it and just feeling through

(02:59):
it and I haven't fully formedwhat it's going to look like.
But yeah, I just want to sharethat.
I know I put a little poll onInstagram and some of you
responded on things that youliked about the podcast because,
again, it's for you, but it'salso for me and it's also for
you.
So it is a lot of work, right?
And when you're doing ityourself, the whole you know

(03:19):
process, start to finish, and Iappreciate the journey of being
able to do this because there'sat the point where I can do it,
start to finish.
There may be a point where youknow I have other people
supporting me and then I won'tbe in this phase of doing all of
the work, but yeah, there's,there's so much going on
astrologically, if you'relistening to this on Thursday as
the episode comes out, we arehosting a full moon eclipse

(03:42):
circle this evening at 8 pmCentral Standard Time.
So if you want to join us, youcan click the link in the show
notes and join us again, 8 pmCentral Standard Time.
On the 4th yes, on the 4th.
Today's the 3rd, today's the3rd yes, today is the 3rd.
I don't even know what day isanymore.
It's, you know, one of thosedays.
So that will be on the 4th.

(04:03):
If you can't make it live, itwill get emailed out.
So if you decide you want toget the replay, you can just get
the replay.
We're going to be doing a lotof journaling around this
because calling in thatexperience within ourselves
Because next year, the firstsix-ish months of 2026 are
massive and giving us thisopportunity to really choose

(04:33):
what timeline we're going to beon and the Kabbalah says that
Libra season is actually aseason, a time when we get to
choose what timeline we're on.
So Virgo season, which makessense because Virgo is organized
, analytical, it's all abouthealth, daily routines to
support us, to sort of becomethis air quote perfected version
of self, which there is no suchthing as a perfected version of

(04:53):
self.
But we're working on theinternal, like knowing of
ourselves, coming into ourselvesand just doing better, right,
being better, doing better.
And when we're, you know, thinking better, when our
perspective is different, thenwe can change our reality, a new
reality, right.
And so we're doing all thiswork in this Virgo season to get
clear and call in these things.
Then in Libra season, we cankind of like move on those.

(05:16):
So there'll be a little bit ofthat journaling in the full moon
circle as well as just like anunderstanding and overview of
the bigger astrology that is atplay, because it's big.
Everybody's been talking aboutit, right.
This 2027 shift in story isstarted.
Right, it started like fiveyears ago, but we're really kind
of ramping up on all thatenergy and there's so much more

(05:37):
I could say, but I'm going toleave it at that.
So check back next week foranother episode and enjoy this
one.
Let me know what you think.

And, yeah, everything else thatyou need to know is down in the
show notes.
Today I have Leah Jones-Marcushere who is a tarot and oracle
reader and who writes thetransformation forecast, so
astrology forecast.
So we're going to dive into allthings tarot, astrology, all
the fun stuff.

(06:20):
I'm going to hand you the floorjust for you to introduce
yourself and sort of share yourstory Anything pivotal on the
way that sort of like got youwhere you're at today, and then
we'll take from there Sure.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
So I have been running this as my own business
for a little over a year now,full-time, not having another
career, so this is like myfull-time thing.
I fell into tarot.

(06:53):
I had always been kind ofcurious about it, but I grew up
in a really religious householdthat definitely thought that
using tools like tarot were ofthe devil, and so it took me a
long time to be able to get tocomfortability with even trying

(07:13):
things, and so once I did tryall of these wonderful tools,
they literally changed my life, and so that is why I have like
fully shifted out of the careerthat I was in before and into

(07:34):
practicing tarot full time, studying astrology, studying my
human design.
All of it is, I think, sopivotal.
All of it is, I think, sopivotal.
I'm the kind of person whodives really deeply into things
once I find that I like them, and so I just am one of those

(08:01):
people that feels like we shoulduse every tool that we have at
our disposal to learn moredeeply about ourselves, and so
that's kind of been the journeythat I've been on is just diving
into whatever is interesting orsparks curiosity for me, and so
just kind of diving in anddoing all of that Right now I
focus on.

(08:22):
The transformation forecast ismy big thing, and that is
horoscopes that come out everynew moon, every full moon and at
the beginning of everyastrological season, and those
are horoscopes and tarot scopes.
Use tarot in conjunction withthe astrology to really talk

(08:51):
about what is going on in thecosmos and how we can utilize
those energies to reallytransform our lives in practical
ways.
And then I also am going to becoming out with a tarot class
soon to teach tarot in the waythat I have come to use it most

(09:11):
often.
I think there are so many waysthat you can use tarot, so many
different perspectives fromwhich you can read, and so I'll
be coming out with a class soonabout my perspective, um, on
tarot, which is going to bereally fun and exciting too.
So I just think there's so manyways to go, so many ways to

(09:36):
dive into it and pick it apart, and that's my favorite part
about it.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
So yeah, I think that's what's beautiful about
tarot.
I think there's not really likea right or wrong way to do it,
you know, I think it's reallybeing intuitive with it and kind
of like leaning into it.
For you and I would love to Iwould be curious just what was
that journey like for you, goingfrom this religious household
where it's more seen assomething like dark and

(09:59):
something that you shouldn't do.
I know I grew up Catholic butmy parents never really like I
went to church but it wasn'treally a thing.
I guess we didn't really talkabout it, that kind of stuff.
But in my house I know mydaughter she's taken some tarot
decks over to friends' housesthat and they're just their moms
are like no, you can't do thatin this house and she's like mom

(10:23):
, what's wrong with it would bea pretty big subconscious belief
that you would have to overcometo be able to work with these
cards.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Yeah, I think for me it was overcoming a lot of fear.
I had to really confront a lotof the fear that had been
drilled into me that these weretools that I couldn't trust and
I didn't know where the energywas coming from, um, and so how
did I know who I was talking totype of stuff, and it's like

(10:54):
you're actually just talking toyourself.
It's your energy, like, um,it's so safe and so affirming,
and so I think, like, whatreally helped me get through
that hurdle was out.
The thing that actually spurredme to start reading tarot is I

(11:16):
was going through a reallydifficult time in my last career
where I just felt like I wasgoing nowhere and no one saw me
or my potential or anything, andI was putting everything I had
into it and I was just hitting awall Like why is none of this

(11:38):
working?
Why can't I move forward?
What is this block that I can'tseem to get past?
What is going on?
And come to find out it wasn'twhere I was supposed to be, and
that was the universe telling meit's time to move.
We got to go do somethingdifferent.

(12:02):
But so I picked up my first deckbecause I was just like I got
to try something to get out ofthis.
Like nothing.
None of my other copingmechanisms were working.
Um, so how do I dig myself outof this hole that I'm in?
And I think what really allowedme to move past my fear around

(12:24):
tarot was that all of thereadings that I was getting back
as I started reading for myselfwere so affirming, and it felt
like tarot became a friend to mein that it gave me language to
explain what was going on insideof myself, and I before didn't

(12:51):
have the tools or the words tounderstand what I was going
through internally and so itreally helped me externalize and
verbalize what was going oninside of myself.
And so I think that that waswhat drew me to it so much and

(13:13):
really got me over that hump, because it just allowed me to
really see myself in a whole newlight.
See myself in a whole new light.
So I think that that was likethe biggest thing that helped me
kind of get past that hurdle offear.
Um, just trusting myself thatthis is affirming and not

(13:39):
negative, it's not harmful, it'snot leading me down a bad path.
This is stuff that just helpingme understand who I am at a
deeper level and leading meessentially back home to myself.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
So yeah, yeah, I love that.
I had someone come over onceand they saw my tarot deck and
they were like, oh, I'm notgoing near that.
And I was like, why?
And they said something aboutlike talking to God and they'll
do it other ways.
I'm like, but why can't Godtalk to me through that too, you
know?
And they're like, oh well, Iguess, but it's just like it's
so interesting how that is soheld on specifically tarot, like

(14:14):
I feel like Oracle decks, likeI didn't necessarily have it,
doesn't hold the same weight as,like, the word tarot, you know,
it's really it's just sointeresting how it like brings
up a lot of that.
You know attached to it, butsort of like you, I will
sometimes I'll be journaling orif I'm going through something
challenging, it's like I journaleverything out or I'll read
something and then I'll pull acouple of cards and it's like

(14:35):
the cards even like when I openthe book to like read what it
says, like the words, arespecifically things that I had
written or things that I'm goingthrough.
So I definitely resonate withthat being.
It's just, it is very affirmingwhen you kind of like just pull
them and it's like literallyexactly like what you need.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
It's really beautiful .
Yeah, it's definitely myfavorite thing, and I think like
one of the pieces that I've hadto like navigate with my family
around is, you know, they thinkI'm just like trying to read
the future or like I'm going totell them their ex-boyfriend is
doing so and so whatever, andI'm just like that's literally
not how I use the tarot at all, like not even close, and so just

(15:21):
like resetting what it evenmeans to read tarot to them,
just taking them out of thetypical stereotypes of what it
is in the movies or you knowwhatever they've seen, and just
letting them see how I use itand how empowering it can be.
And I think that that's reallyhelped open their minds a little

(15:45):
bit more and be morecomfortable with me doing this
as a career.
Now.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Yeah, I love that and I love that you're bringing it
around your family.
I think a lot of people, whenthey get into things like this
that are, I guess, against thenormal of what the household
rules were, growing up with thestandards.
A lot of people kind of keep itto themselves, right.
So it's not I don't know iftainted is the right word but
it's not influenced, I guess, byother people.

(16:12):
So I think that's amazing thatyou have brought it in and it's
sort of you know, being acceptedand showing them that there's a
different side to it.
It's really really cool yeah.
Yeah, for sure so how do we use,how do we use the tarot Like?
Do you have any set not rules, but like practices that you use
either with clients or just likewith yourself, as you're sort

(16:34):
of like navigating, like andalso weaving in astrology, cause
I know like right now there'ssome really intense astrology
out there and there has beenright, but it's like how do we
lean into this to like empowerus and help us move through some
of those things?

Speaker 2 (16:47):
yeah.
So I actually like myperspective in the way that I
read tarot.
That I'm writing this coursearound is really a self-focused
version of reading, so like acard that typically would be

(17:08):
read as an external facing cardlike, say, let's say, the five
of wands is typically a cardthat people associate with
something outside of themselves, like, oh, I'm in a conflict
with another person or I'mfeeling competitive against so
and so, and so it's this cardwhere a lot of people would read

(17:30):
it, as you know, outside ofthemselves.
I kind of flip that and saywhat internal conflict is going
on within me?
So when I read the cards, Iwant to look at it from my
perspective, because it's a lotmore empowering to do so.

(17:55):
When I'm looking at it outsideof myself, what happens is you
feel disempowered because you'relike well, I can't control this
other person, this conflict ishappening outside of me, and it
kind of takes you out of yourpower a little bit, whereas if

(18:18):
you look at this from aninternal perspective and you're
like what's going on with methat's causing this conflict,
you can really empower yourselfto change whatever's going on
with you, um, instead of kind ofthrowing your hands up like, oh
, I don't, I'm not in control ofthis, um.

(18:40):
And so I think that that reallyhelps ground you, because it's
giving you practical steps thatyou can either like dive deeper
and like dig into more of what'sgoing on, or you can take like
action steps that will kind ofmove you out of this energy,

(19:01):
because we're the ones incontrol of our energy.
Because we're the ones incontrol of our energy, we have
the power to shift ourselves outof it.
If we're not happy that there'sconflict going on, we have the
power to shift that and changethat.
And so I think it's just aboutrecognizing and taking your
power back in that moment to saylike no, I'm not gonna keep

(19:22):
going with this, I'm gonna shiftthis and move how this energy
is flowing.
So, yeah, I think that that isone of the biggest ways that I
read a little bit differentlythan most people, and I think
that that right now the worldfeels very chaotic, pulled in a

(19:45):
million directions, and a lot ofthings are happening outside of
ourselves that we don't havecontrol over, and so pulling it
back and focusing on what youspecifically so I think the
world outside, what is happeningaround us right now, feels

(20:07):
really chaotic and it feels likeour attention is being pulled
in a million differentdirections and it's almost
exhausting to try to keep upwith it all.
And it's going.
If we look at the forecast for2025, it's going to continue to
be chaotic, it's going tocontinue to throw us for loops,

(20:33):
and so what we have to do is wehave to take our power back and
really sit and say what can Ispecifically do in this moment?
What do I have control over?
Because we don't have controlover everything.
We don't have control overother people, and I know that

(20:53):
that's really really hard tograsp for a lot of people.
It was really hard for me tograsp for a long time.
I have a Virgo stellium and soI really like control and order,
and so that was a big one forme.
But I think, with the astrologyof what is coming for us in 2025

(21:18):
, and what we see alreadybeginning to play out, it's just
going to continue to be chaotic, and so what we need is to
really cultivate a strongserenity inside of ourselves and
a strong connection with who weare grounding ourselves in, who

(21:39):
we are at a deep level, so thatwe aren't pulled off center by
all of this that's happeningaround us, and so, the more that
we can stay in our power andfocus on what we can control,
that's how we to stay able tolike bend instead of break as

(22:05):
the chaos kind of swirls aroundus, because eventually this
chaos will fall away, thingswill shift and change.
We know that as the energiesshift and change, everything
else shifts and changes as well, and so this is not going to
last forever.
It will change and morph intosomething different.

(22:25):
But we have to be able to kindof be flexible and move through
whatever is happening, and thebest way I think to do that is
to just really have a strongcenter.

Speaker 1 (22:39):
And.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
I do think that following things like astrology
and tarot or reading your humandesign all of that stuff really
helps anchor you in who you are,so that you don't get so far
pulled off center when thingstrigger you, cause you to feel

(23:01):
out of control.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, I think if we're using really any of these
tools in an empowered way, we'rethe point of it is really to
come home and to come intoyourself right and to have that
solid foundation.
So I really I like using the,the cards in the way that you're
describing.
And how do we like reframecards, like maybe the death card
or the tower card, like thingslike that just naturally hold a
little bit more weight, likeespecially when you know, like

(23:26):
you said, like the chaos and theall the change that's happening
now, and like say we're justcontinually playing these cards,
like how do what would yourreframe be?
Or like how do you look atthose cards coming up?

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Yeah, so for me, um, the tower is actually one of my
favorite cards.
I'm a Scorpio rising too, so youknow that is part of that, um,
but I think what it is well, andI'm a human design manifester,
so that is a whole nother levelof of that energy whole nother

(24:25):
level of of that energy, apartfalling apart is always for our
highest good.
I genuinely believe that theuniverse is benevolent and has
our best interests at heart, andso, if you can ground yourself
in that belief, whatever happensoutside of you is always going

(24:50):
to be for your highest good, tomove you forward, to help you
learn and grow, and so I reallylook at everything as being a
learning tool.
I really look at everything asbeing a learning tool, a way to
grow stronger and deeper intowho I am, and so the tower is

(25:11):
actually one of my favoritecards, because it means that you
can see, you will get thisclarity and this visibility
around one of these things thatused to hold you back, and now
it's not going to hold you backanymore because it's falling
away, and so you get to buildsomething new in its place.

(25:32):
So how exciting is that To kindof get to start fresh and build
something even stronger thanbefore, fresh and build
something even stronger thanbefore.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
So, yeah, I think, like with anything, you will see
what you believe, right, likeif you believe these cards are
negative and they're going tohold whatever, then I think
that's what you're going to see,and so I do.
I love that and that's.
That's been a big shift of mineover.
You know however many yearsI've been like on on my journey,
right as being more excited forthe things that are kind of
scary and challenging, becauseit's always giving you an

(26:03):
opportunity for things to shiftand change, and we know change
can't happen unless it'suncomfortable, right, because
that's the only time that wereally do change it.
Can you share a little bitabout your charts, your
astrology and your human designchart as well, and maybe
anything that, like once youlearned those that kind of
helped you, you know, navigate, whether it's your business or

(26:25):
tarot, like your relationshipwith that?

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Yeah, I think one of the biggest things that I
realized about myself and thisis like fresh and new in this

(26:56):
new year that I really, at theend of 2024, I really-on-one
clients every day, for multiplehours a day and as a human
design manifester, that is notsustainable.
I was really, really drained, really exhausted and just

(27:19):
forcing myself to live like Icould be this productive driving
force because that's trustingthat.
That was accurate.
I had to really be honest withmyself and, as scary as it was,

(27:50):
I actually closed my bookscompletely, like I don't take
one-on-one clients at allanymore because I physically
it's not what's best for me ormy energy, and so that was a

(28:10):
really scary decision as abusiness owner to completely
shut down a whole line of mybusiness.
But it's something that.
So I did that at the beginningof the year, um, this year, and
it has radically changed how I'mable to show up.
I'm so much more creative, Ihave so much more energy, um,

(28:35):
and I have so much time to dothe fun things that I love to do
, have so much time to do thefun things that I love to do.
So, like my day now I spent, you know, I went to yoga first
thing after dropping my kids off.
I wrote for like three hoursand then it was time to pick my

(28:56):
daughter up from school and wewent and took her to the
playground in the park and justplayed outside and my life
couldn't have looked like thatbefore.
And so I just have, by listeningto my design and trusting that
that is what is right for me,I've actually created a life

(29:19):
that I didn't think was possiblefor myself, and so I think that
that's really important to justkind of listen to these things
and trust that your body knowswhat it's supposed to do and
allow that to kind of take overand make decisions with that

(29:43):
stuff in mind, even if itdoesn't necessarily seem logical
.
I'm a very logic minded personin general.
Again, virgo stellium and Ihave a lot of air in my chart as
well, so that is all like.
I've always made decisions froma logical standpoint.

(30:05):
What these systems are tellingme is what's best for me, and by
doing that I've actually freedmyself from a lot that was

(30:29):
holding me um back before.
So that's been really reallyspecial um and helpful over this
last little bit here for sure.

Speaker 1 (30:43):
Yeah, I love that.
Yeah, I think sometimes withhuman design or any of these
modalities, we're so used tobeing in the mind and doing
things logically and then on topof it to have, like you said, a
Virgo stellium and that sort ofstructure, and it's scary to
like follow something that likemakes no sense, right, it's kind

(31:04):
of like just jumping off theledge and you're like well, it's
going to work or it's not,we'll figure it out, I guess,
right, but it's so, so affirmingtoo, because it's like I've
been, you know, in this, thispractice, with my human design
and astrology and everything forlike over six years now, and
it's like I, I know what mybeliefs are Right and it's like
I believe it.
And then I still hear storiesand I'm just like blown away.

(31:24):
So I'm like look again, likeit's, it's, it's there, right,
it's, it's there for the taking,if we just really experience it
and experiment with it and, Ithink, not make it so mental
right and actually bring it downwhere it's supposed to be.
So I love that.
Yeah, how do you like?

Speaker 2 (31:41):
so, yeah, we sort of getting out of my head has been
one of my hardest, hardestchallenges.
What does that process looklike for you?
I actually just shared one ofmy like tarot tips on my
Instagram the other day abouthow I get out of my head by
using tarot, and the trick thatI actually use is to pull I do a

(32:08):
past, present, future usingonly major arcana.
Like I pull all the majorarcana out and shuffle just the
majors and do a past, present, present, future, because when
you take the minors out, theminors are the things that have
to do with our day to day.

(32:30):
They're like the smaller piecesaround what's going on, whereas
the major arcana are all theselarge themes, these bigger
archetypes that have hugestories around them, and so I
can get out of my head byfocusing on those bigger themes

(32:54):
instead of the minutia, insteadof the details of the day-to-day
.
That has been a huge help for me.
When I'm feeling overwhelmed,I'm like, okay, let me come back
and see what are these majorthemes that I need to be
focusing on?
How can I just zoom up, zoomout and get back to these bigger

(33:17):
ideas?
Because a lot of times, biggerideas, um, because a lot of
times I will get pulled downinto the minutia and I'll feel
stuck and I don't know how toget myself out of there.
And so it's.
It's a really easy way to kindof do a quick zoom out, if you,
if you look at it from thatperspective Hmm, yeah, that's

(33:37):
interesting.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
I've never, I've never separated the deck and
like played with a different, the different, the major and
minor cards.
Um, I've just sort of likealways pulled from the same one.
But I'll have to try that forsure.
I've never.
I've never thought about that.
How long did it take you toreally like, I guess, learn this
or integrate it as like a dailypractice, like something that
you just have like now is inyour tool belt to to use?

Speaker 2 (34:01):
something that you just have like now is in your
tool belt to use.
So a lot of things in my chart.
I said a little bit earlierthat I really dive in deep on
things.
I go hard when it's somethingthat I'm interested in, and so I
have actually only been readingtarot for two and a half years,
but I have read tarot everysingle day for two and a half

(34:32):
years and a lot of that.
I am talking about readingtarot for six hours a day like
big chunks dedicated to learning, integrating, diving deep,

(35:00):
studying the archetypes, readingpeople.
That that really just goes hard, all in on something and, um,
this is what it was for me.
You know, somebody may pick up adeck and they'll dabble and

(35:21):
they'll read for themselves,like a 15 minute slot on a
weekend, you know, and not pickit back up until next week.
I'm kind of the opposite, whereI was like I need to know all
the things doing all the spreads.
I have notebooks thick full of,like my journaling from when I
was reading for myself and Ithink for me too.

(35:43):
When I first started I was sodisconnected from myself and
once I started seeing thatconnection to myself and finding
ways to understand myself moredeeply.
It was like I couldn't stoppeeling back the layers, like I

(36:05):
was like oh my gosh this, oh mygosh this, and I just kept
diving deeper and deeper anddeeper and I just went really,
really deep inside.
So it's definitely somethingthat I've, like dedicated a lot,
a lot of time and effort to um.

(36:26):
Even when I was learning tarotand working full time, I was
like reading for like two, threehours a night, um, and then you
know, my, my, I stopped havinga corporate nine to five in
December of 2023.
And so since then, like I,every day when my kids are at

(36:52):
school, I'm doing tarot all day, reading about it, practicing it
, all the things.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Yeah, that's amazing.
I love that it sounds likewithin that amount of time
you've really done a lot of theunpacking and self-discovery,
because you described earlierhaving to face those shadows
that you held with it.
So that's really, reallyincredible that you've gone all
in like that.
I know a lot of people thatlisten are entrepreneurs as well
.
So just out of curiosity fromthat lens, how long did it take

(37:20):
you to feel like confidentenough with your like skills and
knowledge of the tarot to thenmake I mean, you know, make it
full time, or to really start,or I guess like maybe the
question more is like what waswhat did it look like when you
first started doing sessions forpeople Like was there any sort
of imposter syndrome that washeld within there, or you were
just like completely on?

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Um, I think that it took about a year of myself
doing it like on nights when Istill had a full-time job.
I think it took like a yearbefore I felt confident enough
to start trying to even possiblyread for other people, and I

(38:03):
think it was probably three, maybe three months before I
started reading for other people.
I started an Instagram accountfor reading tarot, but I was
reading for myself and postingreading tarot.

(38:24):
But I was reading for myselfand posting those readings that
I had done for myself, in a wayto kind of share part of my
journey.
But it was resonating withpeople and so that's kind of
what helped me kind of start toopen the door to potentially
reading for other people.
So after that was going for acouple months, I started reading

(38:49):
for friends, people that Icould ask for feedback around,
trusted people who would tell methe truth on where I was at on
it, and that gave me a lot moreconfidence.
And from there, people werejust finding me on Instagram and

(39:10):
somehow local people werefinding me as well.
I'm not even sure how thathappened, but local people were
finding me as well and I wasbooking like parties where I was
reading.
You know, 20 people in an in anight, um, and so that really

(39:34):
helped me to build up myconfidence, um.
So I was doing that at likemuch lower rates than than I
would have now, um, to start out.
So I think that that's reallyjust kind of starting slow and
building to get to somethingthat's more sustainable.

(39:57):
Was would be like.
My answer to that is just kindof like taking your steps one at
a time.
Like don't jump over any, anysteps, try to really, you know,
go one step at a time and intrusting the process as you
build your business, um to kindof expand and grow it so that it

(40:19):
is sustainable, so you don'tlike get in too far over your
head and it gets out of control.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Yeah, do you ever use like the I Ching?

Speaker 2 (40:31):
I have not.
It's one of the things I'm Ireally am interested in the I
Ching.
I'm really interested inKabbalah.
I have not, like looked ateither of these systems more in
depth than just knowing whatthey are, and so these are
definitely other systems thatI'm like really dug into in the

(40:54):
past.
I would say, like six months isrunes, so I've really I've
added runes to my personalpractice.
I'm not using them really withclients yet, but it's definitely

(41:14):
a whole other system that'sbeen really cool and unique to
learn and just kind of see thedifferent ways that it works.
But I am really passionateabout really any divination
method, especially ones that arerelated to our psychology and
like how our minds work and howwe process things.

(41:37):
So I'm definitely I'minterested in other systems.
Can you explain what runes are?
Sure, um, so I have my littlerune bag here, um, but
essentially runes, my ones arelike these little stones.

(42:02):
Mine are clear, with likeflowers inside of them, but they
have these markings on them.
They originate in Norsereligion and Norse cultures, so
they come from that area, butthey each it's like tarot in

(42:29):
that each symbol has its ownarchetype and its own meaning.
So there are these translationsof poems that we have from the
epic poems that were written, and so we're kind of doing our

(42:49):
best to pull out what it meantto them and what that now means
to us, because things will bevery different between the
Vikings and who we are in thenow.
So I think that that's part ofwhat I'm building is like you

(43:10):
know, I can look at what theViking meaning was for a rune
and how does it apply to me now?
And how does it apply to me now?
So, like the rune that I justshowed you is a Thala, and that
one to Vikings is supposed torepresent like legacy and home,

(43:33):
like this place that you comefrom.
And I think that now that's aharder archetype for some people
to relate to, because our worldlooks so different now, like we
may not vibe with our ancestorsor we may not have a good
relationship with our family orthe place we were born, whereas

(43:56):
they had this very deep, powerful passion about that, and
so it's just one of thosethings where you kind of have to
make meaning for yourself, likewhat does home mean to you?
And I do think that that issuch a cool thing to be able to
do.
But yeah, it's its own systemas well.

(44:18):
It's its own system as well, but it it very much has, like
archetypes, as as Tara wouldlike, a general meaning for each
symbol, which is cool.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
Yeah, I've never seen anyone practice with those.
The only thing like the runesthat I think of are just like
things from the little likefantasy books that I read, like
all the little magical practices.
I was like, Ooh, that soundsinteresting.

Speaker 2 (44:39):
Yeah, and there are so many things that you can do
with runes as well, like you cancombine runes and they then
have their own created meaningthat combines the symbols, which
is, would be like a sigil, um,so there's, so you can go so far
down the rabbit hole.

(45:00):
On on what that is, and how touse them.

Speaker 1 (45:03):
Um, so it's fun to just kind of dig it when you use
them.
Are you like just kind ofsticking your hand in a bag and
pulling them out, or is therelike a set way of like
deciphering them, or you throwthem or like how does that work
you?

Speaker 2 (45:14):
can you can do.
You can do multiple ways.
I typically shake the bag up,like I have the bag closed, and
I'll shake it up and pull out acouple.
Another way that I've alsopracticed is to pull out a
decent handful, like five or six, and throw them onto a I

(45:40):
typically try to have like a mator something so that it has
boundaries, because that's ifyou throw them, you need to look
at where they're located.
You want to look at like is itin the center part of the mat or
is it out towards the edge, because that helps you

(46:00):
understand what its meaning is.
So it's definitely one of thosethings.
Like you can do with charms too.
I also dabble with charms andthrowing those.
So with those type of systemswhere you're throwing them, it's
typically what is in the center, is what's most prominent that

(46:25):
you're dealing with at thatmoment.
And then as you go wider andwider, it's things that may not
be as important or central tothe story, but they have an
impact on the story.
And then you can also readwhether they're flipped upside
down or right side up, whereaslike right side up is the

(46:49):
meaning, and upside downtypically means either you're
not ready to deal with thatenergy or you can't see yet how
that energy is a part of thestory that you're looking at.
So it's definitely.
There are a lot of ways to doit and and see how they work
together but, it's definitelyfun.

Speaker 1 (47:11):
Yeah, that sounds, sounds a lot like a lot of fun.
How much of this like practice, whether it's with this or tarot
, like how much has it been inintuitive practice for you?
And then how much has it beenlike more of like a mental, like
knowledge?

Speaker 2 (47:24):
based.
I think at first it was gettinga mental knowledge base to
really understand what I waslooking at.
I think you do need to study thearchetypes, you do need to
understand, like at least atarot, you need to understand a

(47:45):
little bit about the numerologybehind why the cards are the way
that they are, um, and so Ithink that that part is the, the
sound foundation, that's howyou build your foundation is the
having the logic of it.
But then I think, once you havethat down, it's really all

(48:08):
intuition from that point, byreally just building your
practice the way that feelscomfortable or feels natural to
you, like I don't shuffle theway other people shuffle, I
don't shuffle the way otherpeople shuffle.
I will sometimes use spreads,sometimes I won't, sometimes I'm

(48:30):
just kind of like seeing ifcards fall out, sometimes I
don't.
It just is all I think.
Like, once you have that base,it's really all intuition and
just kind of meaning making ofyour own, and that's kind of how
I, you know, develop this otherstyle of reading too is yes,

(48:52):
there, it's this other style isbased on the archetypes, but
it's this other way to look atthese archetypes.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
So, and that's all coming from intuition, yeah,
yeah, can you talk about maybesome common cards that hold
themes of like change?
I mean, I'm sure you can findin any of them, but if there's
any like ones that maybe come upthat are significant, that?

Speaker 2 (49:21):
like one of the hardest cards that I really
disliked at the beginning.
That actually is about changefor me is the three of swords,
and every time that card wouldcome up I would be so irritated

(49:45):
because I was like, no, I don'twant to do this, I don't want to
deal with this pain, I don'twant to mess with this.
This is not where I want to go.
But I think that now I see itas pain that I am holding inside

(50:05):
that is ready to go.
It's pain that is ready to befelt and seen and once you feel
and see it, you can release it,you can let it go.
So oftentimes now when I pullthe three of swords, I know that
big feelings are going to becoming up, and I will just

(50:26):
prepare that big feelings aregoing to be coming up.
Typically I'm a big crier, so Iwill just put on a really sad
movie and I will just cry myface off because it helps me get
these feelings out.
And a lot of this is like oldstuff that's really deep inside

(50:49):
of you that is just ready tocome out, and once you clear
that space out, it opens upspace for new things to come in,
and so I think really lettinggo of pain and so I think really
letting go of pain not harpingon it, not holding on to it,
allowing it to flow andreleasing it allows for change

(51:12):
to take place.
It allows for space for thingsto come in.
Another card I would say that Ireally love to do with change is
the Eight of Cups, and that, for me, is all about being okay

(51:37):
to leave behind something thatyou have built in search of
something that's going tofulfill you in a bigger, better
way.
A lot of times that one's hardfor people because they're
having to walk away fromsomething that they've put time
and effort and work into.
But what that card representsis that more fulfillment is

(52:01):
available for you.
More fulfillment is availablefor you, but you're going to
have to leave some things behindto go and find it.
There is something morefulfilling out there for you.
So trusting yourself to kind ofgo on that journey to go find
that inner fulfillment.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
How do you recommend or work with people let's say
that have a reading to make itmore than just like oh, I had a
reading, that's cool and I'mgoing to move on with my life.
How do we integrate?
I guess the question is, how dowe integrate these lessons that
are coming up for us?

Speaker 2 (52:37):
Yeah, that is actually why I put so much time
and energy into writing thetransformation forecast, because
that is how I help move pastidea into action.
So, with the transformationforecast, like I said, I use

(53:00):
tarot and I use the astrology ofwhat's going on in the moment.
But I'm writing thesehoroscopes for every sign, and
part of that is I always includean affirmation that you can use
that helps you to really embodythe energy of what the

(53:24):
opportunity is.
All of my horoscopes arewritten as opportunities,
because I again think that we dohave control over how things
impact us or don't, and so youhave an opportunity to work with
this energy that's coming yourway to shift or change this

(53:45):
thing.
Here's the opportunity.
Do with that kind of what youwill.
Here's an affirmation to embodyit in the most empowering way.
And then I also include what Icall magic in the mundane and
this is a practice that you cantake to actively work with the

(54:13):
energy of what's going on aroundyou.
So, for example, one of thehoroscopes that I was writing
earlier today was about movingthrough energy that kind of has
you feeling down and you want toshake it off and move forward

(54:36):
in a more optimistic way.
And so the magic and themundane for that is literally to
shake it off.
Shaking is actually.
Humans are one of the onlyanimal species who don't shake
after trauma occurs to them.
In the wild, animals who havehad trauma happen to them will

(55:02):
jump up, shake it off and run, like a deer that gets hit by a
car.
Will will literally jump up,shake it off and run.
It's a, it's an instinct, it'sa survival instinct, and we're
one of the only people thatdon't do it.
And so, um, I literally I wrotein this horoscope a playlist

(55:28):
and I'm like here's a couplesongs.
Play these and dance your buttoff, shake it, get it all out.
And it's one of those, like, sing at the top of your lungs
and just let it go.
Like, sing at the top of yourlungs and just let it go and it
really will change how you move.

(55:50):
It will change your wholeenergy and how you feel moving
forward.
So all of them come with, likethese practices that align with
whatever the energy happens tobe going on for that sign.

(56:10):
Um, so I really think that thatis powerful and it's how I've
need to function.
Um, because these are all, every, all the advice that I'm
giving is advice that I'm takingmyself to, and so I really need

(56:35):
to feel grounded in myself, andI can't do that unless I'm
taking practical action.
I can't live only in the 5Dworld.
I can't live only in the theory.
I can't live only in the 5Dworld.
I can't live only in the theory.
I can't live only in my head.
I have a reality.
I'm a mom, I have pets, I havea life, a house to take care of,
and so it's like I have to showup in this reality.

(56:57):
So this is the way that I canmake these practices real.
Make these practices real, makethem and, honestly, that's how
you, that's how you shift yourlife, that's how you change your
life is to take these beautifultheories and these beautiful
ideas and make them real.
And the only way to make themreal is to take action around,

(57:21):
whatever it is and sometimes theaction is that you need to be
still, but it's an.
That's an action that alignsyou with whatever is going on.
So I think it's just aboutfinding, whatever the action is,
that that happens to align withthe astrology of the moment.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
I love that Very, very Virgo to Stellium a Virgo.
I'm trying to like visualizeyour chart.
Would your, would your MC, bein Virgo or cause?
I'm thinking like it is Okay, cause I was like it could be Leo
or Virgo.
I wasn't sure that's amazing.
Yeah, yeah, so it's likeliterally bringing that into
your business.
That's so cool.
Yeah, yeah, um, are there anylike I have?

Speaker 2 (58:14):
like two more questions, but were there any
cards that if you pulled forlike 2025, if that was part of
your practice or, as you weremaybe like contemplating the
energy?
Were there any that like stoodout?
That I am kind of holding closeto me for this year is the King
of Cups, and kings, for me, areall about mastery of that energy
, so mastery over your emotions, but in such a way that you then

(58:37):
also can be an example toothers.
So for me, kings are about likequeens are embodiment, but kings
are mastery and sharing, and soI think, with the cup suit,
it's about being able to masterour emotions in such a way that

(59:02):
we can be the calm in the stormand in doing so, we serve as an
example to other people that youcan find calm in the storm and
you can be that, and I think itdoesn't even have to be like to
the wider world, it can be likein your family.

(59:23):
Even that I'm going to be theone who is, is the strong center
for my family, and I'm going toshow up and just really allow
our home to be a safe space andto be a place where we can feel
comfortable in expressing ouremotions and moving through them

(59:43):
and letting all of the emotionscome and go, but still being
solid in who we are.
So I think that that's the cardthat I'm really holding close
this year.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
Yeah, definitely feels like a big theme for the
year.
That's been coming up in a lotof conversations and podcast
conversations as well.
My final question for you iskind of going back to that
emotional manifester energy.
Like how do you, I guess, whathas your relationship with your
emotions been or transformed orhow has it shifted, since you

(01:00:20):
have sort of a use, begin usingthe tarot is like an everyday
tool and then also like reallykind of like learned and maybe
integrated more of it.
Shifted since you have sort ofa use, begin using the tarot is
like an everyday tool and thenalso like really kind of like
learned and maybe integratedmore of like the human design
aspect of it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Yeah.
So for me, I will say for along time, for most of my life,
I have felt shamed about myemotions.
I have always been told that Iam too emotional, that I feel
things too deeply, that myemotions are too much.
Whenever I would cry, I wouldbe told why are you crying?

(01:00:55):
It's not even a big deal.
Or whenever I would get angry,I was too out of control.
And so when you can't acceptthose bad big feelings, you also
can't embrace the happy bigones.

(01:01:18):
You can't get to that big joyif you can't feel that big
sadness.
And so I think for me, a lot ofit, a lot of the journey, has
been learning to accept myemotions and allow them to pour
out of me and to show up,because a lot of times before I

(01:01:44):
would suppress them and hidethem.
I would like, you know, bite mylip to keep from crying, or I
would like leave the space fromother people and retreat and go
be by myself to do whatever Ineeded to do, um, or I would
like push the feelings deep downand tell myself I didn't really
feel that way and so kind ofdigging all of that back up to

(01:02:09):
allow myself to feel my emotions, because, as an emotional
manifester, I have to be able tofeel my emotions to make right
decisions in line with myintuition.
So if I'm not feeling myemotions, I'm not in alignment
at all.
And so and part of being anemotional authority is having

(01:02:37):
and needing to ride the wave, sohaving to go from bottom to top
and back down again, andholding space for that, because
until you allow your emotions toflow and calm down, you don't

(01:02:57):
get clarity, you don't knowwhere you're supposed to go or
what decision you're supposed tomake.
You're supposed to go or whatdecision you're supposed to make
.
So it's really, reallyimportant for me to allow myself
to feel and express my emotionsas they come.

Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
So that's definitely been a journey and a practice.
Was it challenging for youeither before or after, kind of
like leaning into that emotionalauthority, to wait through a
wave to make a decision?

Speaker 2 (01:03:30):
Yes, very much.
It was a quick yes.
Yeah, I also have my Mars andAries and so I really like to
move on things, like if I get anidea, I'm like we're, let's
start doing it.
But what I had to learn thehard way is that just because an

(01:03:55):
idea is exciting doesn't meanit's the right idea to act on,
and so I have to go through thefull emotional wave of that idea
before I commit to moving on it, my energy on it.

(01:04:28):
I feel all the feelings relatedto an idea, the highs and the
lows before I commit and startmoving, which has been difficult
as a as a Mars and Aries person.

Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
What is?
What is your moon in Virgo?
Virgo, okay, so sun moon MC.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
No, my, my son is Lib , oh, um.
So I think that that's wherethis balance comes into play,
where I'm trying to find thebalance between all of these
things.
But um it, my moon, my venus,my mc, and I know there's one
more, I don't know what it is,but there's one maybe, um, my

(01:05:06):
mercury's in libra.
I also have a, a lot of librain my chart, but yeah, yeah,
yeah, one of the one of them Ilove that.

Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
Well, is there any um , I guess, like any tips or any
last like guiding words youwould give people as they're
maybe exploring tarot, like ifthis is new to them or if
they're really trying to likeestablish a practice in it?

Speaker 2 (01:05:32):
Yeah, I think like the biggest thing that I like to
impress on people is a lot oftimes we fail to make change
because it feels toooverwhelming.
We don't want to learn tarotbecause there's so many cards
and there's so many meanings andI don't know.

(01:05:53):
Or we don't want to make thisbig change in our career because
then we have to start over, wehave to do all these things and
we get too overwhelmed with thebigness of it.
And I really want to impress onpeople that every big idea can
be broken down into smallersteps and some days you're going

(01:06:20):
to feel like taking 10 of thosesteps, and other days you're
going to feel like taking 10 ofthose steps and other days
you're going to take one ormaybe none, and that's okay, but
not not starting because theidea feels too big.
Take the step, no matter howsmall it is, because eventually

(01:06:41):
you're going to hit this placewhere you're like, oh, I can
actually take 10 steps andyou'll, you know, shoot forward
in different directions.
So just a reminder to keepgoing to make the changes that
you want to make, even when theyfeel overwhelming.
Just take the first steptowards it.
