Growing up Melisa Haueter had a rebel spirit and what she describes as anger management issues. It wasn’t until she was a young adult that she found a positive outlet for that rebelliousness and anger when she started training and competing in Jiu Jitsu.
Listen as Melissa talks about what it was like training back in the early 2000s with legends like Chris Haueter and Cindy Omatsu, how she and Chris started Combat Base Club, how they opened their California home for huge impromptu BJJ training sessions, and how she and Chris had to adjust their business and personal lives during the challenges of 2020.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
