The Room Where It Happened takes its name from a song in the smash musical "Hamilton", The podcast will explore historical events using the "hook" of a particular location (i.e. "the room", sometimes actual and sometimes metaphorical) associated with the event. Sometimes the "room" has a closed door and we might have to speculate on what occurred--like the song from Hamilton. Other times the room might be crowded and filled with witnesses. Every time we will seek to bring something new to looking at the event--no matter how well known or obscure.
The team relaunches the podcast by exploring the Curia Julia as the room and Rome's general influence.
A series of episodes on A Fork In Time will feature alternate history discussions around Roman history topics.
