(REPLAY) Do You Have What It Takes To Finish The Race- Featuring Jules McKenzie

If you start at the back of the pack, do you have what it takes to stick it out and finish the race?⁠  Winning the race isn't even a consideration. Completing the race is winning.⁠

If you had the odds stacked against you, are you still inspired to do the work without losing hope?⁠  This concept reminds me of the beautiful Winston Churchill quote; ⁠

"Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm."⁠

I recently completed a two-part Podcast episode with a good friend, Jules McKenzie.  Jules, had so many obstacles placed in front of him. The list was endless... and none of them was his choice.⁠

• Where he lived (he had no running water)⁠
• Hatred⁠
• Racism⁠
• Substance abuse⁠

and the list goes on...

The odds were soooo stacked against him... he could have very quickly become a 'statistic' and given up.⁠  But he had a wonderful family and, most importantly, an attitude that things in our life happen for us, from us.⁠

He took personal responsibility for making changes⁠

• He committed to the commitment.⁠
• He made different choices than his friends⁠
• He embraced change⁠
• He changed his environment⁠
• He changed his future, one decision at a time

Was it easy?⁠

Absolutely... NOT⁠

Was the hard work worth it?⁠

Absolutely... YES⁠

He now lives a life that most people would consider a 'success.'⁠  But he still hungers to contribute more, inspire others and be in service for the next generation.  His new mission is to help people overcome great adversities.⁠
