There's a whole sermon in that song.
That was a beautiful song thathad me fired up.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Man, I can almost get saved after singing that song.
I'm telling you, people haveRight God.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yes, they do.
Millions Praise God Want to getinto some scripture.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Good Get you some word yes, I've missed being here
.
Then we'll jump to a song,we'll do some scripture and then
jump do some scripture.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Nice, let's do that.
So I'm a little rusty, but herewe go.
Right, God is good.
Right, God is amazing and I wastalking to an individual lately
before I get into scriptureabout the Lord last week.
And Paul says let there be noother gospel in Galatians.

(05:27):
The only way to know the gospelis to study the gospel and to
have fellowship with God, havefellowship with Christ and let
the Holy Spirit infill us.
And I was just talking to thisman.
I said who do you think JesusChrist is?
He was a new Christian.
When I say new, probably aboutthree years, but I was kind of

(05:48):
looking at it in the context ofour conversation.
I go well, who do you thinkChrist is?
Because we've been talking forabout a month and he keeps
shying away from Jesus.
Every time I said Jesusdeserves worship.
We should be in love with Jesus.
Jesus is our sacrifice for usand God sent him so we can be an

(06:12):
inheritance to Christ.
So the man looked at me andgoes well, I'm not going to
worship Jesus.
And I said well, why not he?
Not, he goes.
Well, he's my brother and I'mgonna worship Mother Earth and I
prayed to Mother Earth, right.
So he had all these differenttypes of spirituality mixed in

(06:36):
with Christ, and so I keptpointing out scripture after
scripture after scriptureRevelations 1, john 1,
colossians 1, hebrews 1 aboutthe deity of Christ, and I said
do you have a problem with that?
And he goes I do, I do have aproblem with that.
I said so.

(06:56):
You believe in another gospel.
I said in Galatians, paulprohibits believing in another
gospel because you're not savedif you believe in another gospel
.
I told him this.
I said you don't have the bloodof Christ covering you and I
love him, and we even tell eachother we love each other every
day.
And I said you know what, brother?
And he goes.

(07:18):
What I said?
I'm going to say somethingthat's that's very hard for you
to hear, and he said are you?
willing to hear it.
He goes yes, I go, that'sidolatry.
And he said you can't say thatto me.
And I said but the scripturessays it is.
And I said is it a pride issuewith you that you want to look
at Christ as merely human andyou want to invent your own

(07:42):
gospel?
And he goes well, then I thinkso.
And what I'm getting at is whenI present the gospel to people,
a lot of times they don'tdisagree with the logic and I'm
not saying I'm going into thisrhetorical situation and this
big old speech and using wordsthey can't understand.
A lot of times when I justpreach this gospel, I've had

(08:04):
people look at me literally andsay I don't disagree with you.
I'm not saying it's wrong, butI don't want the gospel you're
preaching.
I want my own gospel, I want topour into it what I'm pouring
into it.
And I told him I said this iswhy the world looks the way it

(08:26):
looks.
This is why you can't reallytell in America the average
Christian from a pagan.
This is why I've asked peoplecan you point out the Christian
and the pagan in this atmosphere?
And a lot of people said no.
I had a friend recently come tome and say hey, joshua, I

(08:48):
thought you were judgmental andtoo hard and I thought you were
a jerk.
Because you told me before andmany times, if I keep Christ to
myself, am I really a Christian?
And I got angry at you and Isaid if you got the medicine, if
God has given you the medicine, the vaccine, and people are

(09:10):
dying, I just don't understandwhy you would keep it all to
yourself, why you would keep ita secret.
Well, you go to school and youdo all this and the rest that
doesn't matter.
We're all evangelists.
Every woman, every man alive isan evangelist.
God fills us with the HolySpirit to proclaim the gospel

(09:33):
and to take part in the GreatCommission.
Some people might be able toget up on stage and express
theology very well, but I alwayssay maybe a person that just
comes alongside another personand tells them what Christ did
in their life can do a waybetter job than I can do.
Right, so, I ask this onequestion before we get into this

(09:54):
song, and I've asked a fewfriends this.
I said is it that you'reashamed of Christ?
Is it that you're ashamed thatyou don't speak His name?
What?
I mean by that is is the reasonwhy you're quiet is because you
think people are going to bejudgmental.
And if you're scared of peoplebeing judgmental, are you

(10:14):
ashamed of Christ?
And I said think about that fora minute.
And a brother at work said I'vebeen, I've considered myself a
Christian for 15 years and had aman walk up to me and say hey,
I heard you're a Christianthrough the grapevine.
I had no idea.
And he goes how is it?
I've been here 15 years andnobody knew I was a.

(10:35):
Christian and I said becauseyou're ashamed of Christ, there
is no other answer.
So we're going to get into asong, but I want to read what
Paul says in Galatians, chapter1.
And maybe this has to do withthe Jews wanting to reimplement
Judaism in the church andcircumcision, but this goes to

(10:59):
the point and drives the pointhome.
We need to take pride as havingGod as our Father, boast in our
Father, boast in the works ofJesus Christ, and not put a lap
under a basket when the world isdying and it's full of darkness
.
And I'm not judgmental and Itold my friend this, I go.

(11:19):
We already have too many ofthese preachers out here.
There are cookie cutterpreachers, they're everywhere.
You can go anywhere in Americaand turn on TV and on the TV and
you can hear what pastors wantto tell you to hear every single
day and tickle our ears.
But the word should make ourheart alive within our chest.

(11:40):
And Ezekiel wrote.
He said in the last days, godwill take that heart of stone
and replace it with a heart offlesh.
Now that comes by theregeneration of God, conviction,
repentance and living a life toGod, you know.

(12:02):
So I believe the preachernowadays needs to be like a John
Baptist crying as a voice inthe wilderness, and it
fascinates me.
It utterly fascinates me.
When one does, he's considerednon-tolerant and criticized
because he says things peopledon't want to hear anymore.
That's the culture we live in.

(12:22):
I was talking to my wiferecently and I said let me ask
you a question.
I was talking to my wiferecently and I said let me ask
you a question.
If people would just give God achance, come under his
authority, do you think thatwould change society?
Do you think it would changefamilies?
Do you think it would changelives?
Do you think it would reverse alot of our current situations

(12:47):
that we're in right now and ourproblems?
I'm going to tell you somethingfascinating, don.
This is really fascinating.
I just told somebody this thegospel is utter importance.
There are drastic direconsequences for not being in
Christ Right now.
I'm finishing up a degree inpsychology, christian psychology
.
Now I understand you say thatLord and a lot of people panic,

(13:10):
don't bring the world in.
But one fascinating thing isthis Unresolved sin and a person
that does not repent actuallycan create psychosomatic
conditions that can bedebilitated and they can create

(13:30):
such a mindset.
When you don't resolve sin.
Disorders come from it.
So when a person fails torepent, they can become so
spiritually sick that they canactually develop mental illness.
That is how powerful unresolvedsin is.
Romans 1 calls it a darkeningof the mind, so on and so forth.

(13:52):
But I told my brother, I said Isaid, well, you're not my
brother, but I love you andyou're in the most dangerous
situation you could be in.
Accept the gospel.
Accept the truth, get rid ofall that other stuff and don't
accept any other gospel.
Accept the truth, get rid ofall that other stuff and don't
accept any other gospel but thatwhich Christ and the apostles

(14:16):
preached.
You know and I see peopledrowning spiritually Every
single day in my life, and mynumber one job Not even I don't
want to say job my number onepurpose of existence is to try
to tell people hey, god's tryingto throw you a life preserver,

(14:37):
you're drowning.
There's a way out of this beingcertain of the gift that we
have in the gospel salvation, having the Holy Spirit,
worshiping God.
Let's Holy Spirit, lord,shipping God.
Let's go to a song, god beforewe get into Scripture.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
I thought you'd find that interesting.
Yeah, that's cool.
Why don't we do number 25?
25.
18.
19.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
By the way, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25 25, 25, 25, 25, 25,
25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25,25, 25, 25 25, 25, 25, 25, 25,
25, 25, 25, 25 25, 25, 25, 25,25 25.

(15:24):
Jesus is mine, oh, what a puretaste the glory divine there in
salvation, purchase of mine Bornof His Spirit washed in His

(15:45):
blood.
This is my story.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
This is my story.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
This is my song Praising my.
Savior all day long.
This is my story.
This is my song.
Praising my Savior, allpraising my Savior.
The Lord is with me.

(16:11):
Think about the words Perfectsubmission, perfect delight.
The hands of rapture now burston my side.
Angels descending, breathedfrom above, now burst on my side
and gives me sinning pain fromabove.

(16:31):
And gives a mercy.
This is the Lord.
This is my story.
This is my song, praise him, mySavior, all day long.
This is my story.

(16:53):
This is my song, praising mySavior all day long.
Number three Perfect salvation, perfect grace I am my Savior

(17:14):
and happy in grace.
Watch me when I'm rainy lookingat rose In His goodness.
Christ is risen this is mystory this is my song Praising

(17:37):
my Savior all the day long.
This is my story.
This is my song I'll take mySavior all the day long.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
I messed up on that third one.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
No, you did beautiful , but isn't this?

Speaker 3 (18:01):
blessed assurance Jesus is mine.
You know we get so blessed tobe involved in serving him.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
This is miraculous.
I'm in awe To be a part ofGod's plan and to be saved and
be considered a child.
I sit here and try to think ofit with my small little brain
sometimes, and I can't even wrapmy mind and my thoughts around
God's beautiful plan thatthere's a way out.
There is a way out of all ofthis sin, suffering, pain, hell,

(18:35):
and we get to spend eternitywith God.
So Paul says in chapter 1,verse 8.
And I look at this and Icompare this to the world that
we're in.
If Paul was sitting here today,he would probably have some
words with the church, A lot ofwords.

(18:56):
Christ was here.
Can you imagine Jesus and thedoors opening and he walked into
the modern day church and yousaw Christ walking in.
You would hear, just you wouldhear gasp.
I mean people would be.
You want to talk aboutrepentance?
You would see it that day.
Paul says I am astonished thatyou are so quickly deserting him

(19:20):
who called you in the grace ofChrist and are turning to a
different gospel.
So he said you were in thegrace of Christ and you are
turning into a different gospel, into a different gospel.
I want to discuss that wordgrace real quick, because I

(19:41):
think it's thrown around looselysometimes and people don't
really understand what it means.
When I was doing a word studyof what the word grace means in
Greek, when it's used inscripture and even this
particular scripture, when theBible talks about grace in the
Greek, it talks about persuasive.

(20:01):
Now have you ever watched adebate?
We watch the debates on TV,presidential debates, debates in
the church and people try topersuade one another to come to
this side and listen to me,right, and a lot of us sit back
and say, okay, you're not doingthat great of a job, right?

(20:22):
But Paul, when he talks aboutgrace in the Greek, he says
God's grace is irresistiblypersuasive, that it's so strong
that God in a sense wraps hisarms around you with it and
loves you with it, and and lovesyou with it and cherishes you
with it, Exponentially infinite.

(20:43):
It's that powerful.
So the Greek word here when hetalks about persuasive grace,
it's not like we use it in humanterms, and I just told a
colleague recently I go.
All I know is the moment I wassaved is there was no fancy
theology, there was no eloquentwords being spoke as I was in

(21:08):
the worst place and demise in mylife and I was an addict.
I was an addict.
When I experienced God and Iasked him to help me and he came
into my life with such forceand such grace.
All I could do was weep.
That's God's grace.
He don't cause us to weep, it'sso loving and it's so great.

(21:33):
So Paul says how could youexperience this grace and then
accept a different gospel?
That's what I tell people whenI talk to them personally and
preach.
It's like you heard this gospel, you heard this grace.
How could it have taken youaway so fast?
Not that there is another one,but there are some who trouble

(21:59):
you and want to distort thegospel of Christ.
We live in a world bent ondistorting the gospel of Christ,
bent on distorting the gospelof Jesus.
You know, I was even toldrecently that's your truth and
this is mine.
And this was in the context oftalking about the gospel and who

(22:23):
Christ is in the gospel.
And I said how could you saysuch a thing?
You read your Bible every day.
Well, that's how I interpret itand that's how you interpret it
.
And then I was asked anotherfascinating question before we
go into some scripture.
He was sitting there thinkingand I go, I know what you're
thinking.
I said the Holy Spirit istelling me in my heart, it's
moving my heart.
I know what you're thinking, Ijust know it.

(22:45):
I said can I challenge you?
I can't read your mind.
I said this is not mind reading.
I'm not a psychic, I need to becareful with this.
But I go.
Can I challenge you on what theHoly Spirit urged me with?
Your thought is right now?
And he goes yes, and I go.
Why is it so complicated?
Why is Christ the only way?
Why can't all roads lead toChrist?

(23:06):
Why is it we can't worship inall these different religions
and believe we're going to besaved?
And he goes that's exactly whatI'm thinking right now and I go
.
I'm going to ask you anotherquestion, a philosophical one,
right now, and I go.
I'm going to ask you anotherquestion, a philosophical one Is
it so complicated because Godhas removed himself from history
, from time and from our lives?

(23:28):
Or is it so complicated to youand to other people because
we've chose to remove God fromhistory, time and our lives?
You know, and he thought aboutit and he was so private.
He goes I don't know.
I said you do know We'veremoved God from everything.
So it seems we're in a worldthat God is hard to find Because

(23:49):
man wants to please himselfwith his pride.
So Paul says I cannot believethat you left Christ when God
showed you his loving grace.
But he says this but even if we, talking about him, the
apostles or an angel from heavenshould preach to you a gospel

(24:10):
contrary to the one we preachedto you.
Let him be accursed.
You know, this is no joke.
Paul is saying, in other words, let the person be damned, let
the person be removed from God'sgrace, let the individuals
preaching another gospel have nopart in the book of life

(24:32):
written in Revelations.
I even had a friend tell medon't you just think you're too
hard with this stuff?
And I go well, don't you?
He's a Christian, brother ofmine, I go.
Don't you think you're not beinghard enough?
I'm not out there trying tocondemn people.
You know, if somebody, if Ihave a person that's even
practicing homosexuality andI've been called to suicide

(24:54):
situations, I'd travel 500 milesif I had to for one person.
The issue is not about beingmean or not tolerant.
The issue here is aboutsalvation.
I remember a story before we getinto this song, we had RC
Sproul and JJ Packer in a room, two of the greatest theologians
in our time FF Bruce might havebeen there and JJ Packer he

(25:18):
writes all these commentariesand he made a statement and he
said what's the big deal?
And RC Sproul jumped up on thetable and started yelling and
pointed at him and said it's thebiggest deal ever.
Salvation is the biggest dealwe could ever worry about.
The gospel is the biggest thingthat's ever been.

(25:40):
So don't ask what's the bigdeal.
Ask how you can be faithful toChrist and never trade this
gospel for anything worldly.
You know what Don I always tellpeople?
This is the American problem, the American paradox.
The issue isn't if you're abigger sinner than I am.

(26:02):
The issue is, if I'm a biggersinner than you are because it
can go either way.
The issue is are you under thecovering of Christ?
That's the issue.
You know what Paul says.
If God would mark iniquities, who would stand?

(26:24):
That's called a general,axiomatic truth.
It's rhetorical.
Nobody would.
We would all be doomed and we'dall be suffering in hell.
That's the question.
You know, I even tell people Imight be a bigger sin than you.
It's not the point.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
Not that I'm just going out there willingly
sinning.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
But that's not the point of the gospel.
The point of the gospel isaccepting Christ and the gift of
salvation.
And if anyone I don't care howfancy he is, how big his church
is anyone preaches a differentgospel, don't let him steal
Christ away from you.
Son, daughter, child, mother, preacher, boss, ceo, don't let

(27:03):
anybody steal our God away fromyou.
What's left after that, todd?
There's nothing left.
So many people are willing togive him away.
How do I know?
Because I talk to people everyday and they just give him away.
You know Whether they gothrough a traumatic situation
and they just give him away.
You know Whether they gothrough a traumatic situation of
a loss of a loved one, adivorce, loss of a child, just

(27:28):
losing hope in the sense ofbelieving in a secular hope, and
they just trade God away.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
He is jealous for me, loves like a hurricane.
I am a tree bending beneath theweight of his wind and mercy

(28:24):
when, all of a sudden, I amunaware of these afflictions,
eclipsed by glory, and I realizejust how beautiful you are and
how great your affections arefor me.
Oh, how he loves us all.
Oh, how he loves us, how heloves us, how he loves us all.

(28:55):
And he is jealous for me, loveslike a hurricane.
I am a tree Bending near theweight of his wind and mercy
when, all of a sudden, I amunaware of these afflictions,

(29:19):
eclipsed by glory, and I realizejust how beautiful you are and
how great your affections arefor me.
Oh, how he loves us.
Yeah, he loves us.
Oh, how he loves us.

(29:40):
Oh, how he loves us.
Oh, how he loves us.
Oh, how he loves, and we arehis portion and he is our prize,

(30:01):
drawn to redemption by thegrace in his eyes, and his grace
is an ocean.
We're all sinking and heavenmeets earth like an unforeseen
kiss, and my heart turnsviolently inside of my chest.

(30:22):
I don't have time to maintainthese regrets when I think about
the way, oh, how he loves us,how he loves us all, oh, how he

(30:42):
loves us, how he loves us all,how he loves yeah, he loves us.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Oh, how he loves us.
Oh, how he loves us.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Oh, how he loves.
Oh, what love.
Yeah, he loves us.
Yeah, he loves us, how he lovesus.
Oh, how he loves us all.
