Speaker 1 (00:19):
Live from the Saints Headquarters in Tolleson,
arizona, spreading the Gospel, equipping the Saints, standing
for the word of truth, proclaiming God's grace.
Now, on a podcast near you, welcome your host, pastor Joshua
, on the Saints Will OvercomeMinistries.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
It's Pastor Joshua.
I'm back.
We have been fighting the enemyon his own territory.
We got the throttle fullyengaged.
We got the pedal to the metal.
People have been asking mePastor Joshua, where have you
been at?
I've been busy.
I've been doing a lot of things, just preaching around town,

(01:14):
the studies, trying to finish upthis degree.
It's just been a lot of work.
It's been a blessing, um, it'sbeen a blessing.
I've been working at elderlycommunities right now hospice,
dementia centers, cognitivecenters, giving them the word of
God, because it's just, we'restarving as a nation, we're

(01:40):
starving as a society.
We don't have a lot of faithfulpreachers anymore.
It's a lot of health and wealth, a lot of you're entitled to.
And I was talking to a pastorof mine up north in Prescott a
friend of mine actually and hemade a point.
He said you know what, pastorJoshua, I don't believe God
wants us to be poor and Ibelieve he wants us to live a

(02:01):
great life to our fullestpotential.
But on the other side of thecoin, I don't believe in the
health and wealth gospel either, determined on where you're at
and where he's positioned us,based off the book of Acts, that
what we have and freedoms wehave available to us, we
actualize our faith and weutilize our gifts wherever we

(02:26):
are at.
So what I would like to do isjump into the Sermon on the
Mount 2.
I would like to talk about thatand I know we talked about the
meek.
They will inherit the earth wetalked about.
Blessed are those who hungerand thirst for righteousness and
what the opposite of notthirsting and hungering for that

(02:50):
righteousness would look like.
But I want to divert a littlebit, digress a little bit, into
a verse in the Bible that's beenused and it's been used for
prosperity purposes and healthand wealth, and it's a grotesque
way of using scripture topromise people they're going to

(03:11):
be rich and you might have somepastors listen to the show or
you might have some congregantslistening and they're going to
just be livid with me.
But thank God I don't get paidoff this ministry.
Thank God that I have theability to say things and I
don't have a board sitting infront of me determining what I'm

(03:33):
going to say and I can preachthe gospel in its fullness, in
its full measure, in itsbeautiful form, the way it was
tended to be preached, not awesternized way where it's
dumbed down and it robs peopleof their faith and it's working
in conjunction with the enemy.
Now here we go.

(03:55):
So this verse here is inMatthew 5, okay, chapter 5, and
I'm going to read this verse andI touched on it in the last
teaching.
But we're going to take this toanother level and we're going
to break it down and show youhow it looks.
In Luke, because this is asermon of the Mount, we've got

(04:15):
to be careful because we've gotto remember Christ is preaching
and ministering to poor people.
You've got a 90% illiteracyrate, pre-industrial revolution,
you know, as far as technology, health, medicine, pastor Luke,
dr Luke, he didn't have amedical school he could go to.

(04:38):
He didn't get some fancy PhD orsome degree.
He learned the arts of medicinein a time of antiquity and he
knew about herbs and mixturesand balms and serums and
basically had to address it fromthe standpoint of antiquity.
So I just wanted to throw thatin there because we're going to

(04:59):
make a transition to Luke.
But Matthew 5, verse 7, saysblessed are the merciful, for
they will be shown mercy.
Now we got to stop right there.
So we're going to go over hereand we're going to go to Luke,
okay, and we're going to hitright now chapter 6, verse 38.

(05:21):
Now I want you to hearken backto your time in church, to where
you were sitting therelistening to the pastor and
you're struggling and you'recrying out to God and you're
praying.
And some people got their Iguess their prayers fulfilled
and a lot of them went homeempty and they just asked the
question why?
Why do I not have enough?

(05:43):
Why am I struggling?
Why, when I pray for thesebills to be taken care of,
they're just not and I justdon't have enough money right
now.
And I chopped that up to beingin the counsel of God and a
mystery and he knows what togive us at our time.
He knows how we're going tostruggle, he knows what we need

(06:05):
and a lot of times what I'velearned in my counseling is a
lot of us end up in financialpositions of hurt and angst and
want because of decisions wemade previously.
That got us there.
Now let me give you an example, ladies and gentlemen, that got

(06:28):
us there.
Now let me give you an example, ladies and gentlemen beloved.
A lot of times people getmarried and they get divorced
for many different reasons.
One or both individuals don'tknow enough about the gospel,
don't know how to utilize theword of God and the principles,
and they end up divorcing forselfish reasons or legitimate
reasons, one or the other, andusually they have a family, some

(06:50):
children involved.
And if you look at thestatistics and divorcing and
what it does as far aseconomically to America and the
family, it's a drastic, diresituation and it literally
drives people into poverty 50 to75 percent more.
So a lot of times not abidingin the gospel and doing God's

(07:14):
will and having a fallout of thenuclear family leads a lot of
people to poverty, people topoverty.
And so it's not just a holyrepresentation of Christ married
to the church but in a senseGod puts safeguards up
economically when we staymarried and we don't commit

(07:37):
adultery and we don't do certainthings or lean into alcohol
really heavy and do drugs andfight and be unkind and act, you
know, in in evil desires andtherefore it, if you know two
parents stay together and you'rebringing two incomes in, you're

(07:59):
not struggling from astandpoint of economic poverty.
So you might sit there and hearthe pastor in church say
something like give and it willbe given to you.
This is Luke 6, 38.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over
, will be poured into your lap,for with the measure you use, it

(08:22):
will be measured to you.
And, ladies and gentlemen, tobe honest, all the crooks are
out there and they use that.
The crooks use that foreverything the scammers, the
liars and they end up fillingthe coffers and that's what they
do, and it's just a travesty.
It's a travesty because ithurts people so bad and people

(08:44):
get so frustrated.
And then the worst part of allof it is they just sit back and
they say God, what did I dowrong?
You know, do I not have enoughfaith?
Because I gave and I gave and Igave and I don't have no return
on my deposit?
But the fact of the matter iswe always have a return on our

(09:09):
deposit.
Spiritually speaking, that isso.
When the Lord is using thiswithin the context of poured out
, giving back, you're not goingto be able to contain it.
He is talking about a spiritualreality, a spiritual

(09:34):
justification.
He's talking about love andbeing mercy.
So this is in the context oflove and mercy.
This isn't in the context ofmaking money.
So let's go to the chapterbefore that and let's read what

(09:55):
preceded that given.
It will be given to you.
Okay, are you ready?
Ladies and gentlemen, this isright before Luke, the verse
that we just read.
But to you who are listening, Isay love your enemies.
Do good to those who hate you.
Bless those who curse you.
Pray for those who mistreat you.

(10:17):
If someone slaps you on onecheek, turn to them the other.
Also, if someone takes yourcoat, do not withhold your shirt
from them.
Give to everyone who asks.
And if anyone takes whatbelongs to you, do not demand it
back.
Do to others as you would havethem do to you.

(10:38):
If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?
Even sinners love those wholove them.
And if you do good to those whoare good to you, what credit is
that to you?
Even sinners do that.
And if you lend to those whomyou expect repayment, what
credit is that to you?
Even sinners lend to sinners.

(11:00):
Accept accepting to be repaidin full.
But love your enemies, do goodto them and lend to them without
expecting to get anything back.
Then your reward will be greatand you will be children of the
Most High, because he is kind tothe ungrateful and wicked.
Be merciful, just as yourfather is merciful to you.

(11:24):
Ladies and gentlemen, so do yousee, preceding this whole?
Shaken down, runneth over, it'sgoing to be given back to you.
The Lord really is talkingabout mercy here.
That is actually what he'stalking about.
Let's read it again Luke 6, 38.

(11:44):
Give and it will be given toyou.
A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over
, will be poured into your lap,for with the measure you use, it
will be measured to you.
And, ladies and gentlemen, that's talking about mercy.
That's talking about extendingmercy to people.

(12:13):
Christ isn't talking about arecipe and how to get a new car,
how to get a new mortgage.
He's not talking about a getrich quick scheme.
He's not talking about that, ladies and gentlemen.
He's talking about love.
He's talking about mercy.

(12:37):
So when I hear a pastor takethat out of context and use that
as a springboard of opportunityto misinterpret the gospel and
not represent it in the light ofeschatical interpretation,

(12:58):
exegesis and eisegeticallyinsert a false pretext in there,
it really drives me crazy.
It blows my mind and it'swicked, because that's not what
this is talking about.
And honestly, ladies andgentlemen, I don't care who
hears that, I don't care whogets offended by it.

(13:20):
I really don't.
I'm here to preach the gospel,so I want to let you know, so
you don't get confused, lost, and read that and say, well, why
didn't I get that, why didn't Iget something?
Why am I stuck in this position?
Am I not giving enough?
Am I not good enough?
Do you not love me enough?

(13:40):
And the answer to you is noneof that's true.
The Lord does love you, the Lorddoes cherish you and he wants a
relationship with you and hewants you to accept Jesus Christ
.
He is speaking to a people thatis poor, destitute, lost under

(14:03):
oppression by the Romans,systematically destroyed,
struggling and have been slavesspiritually their whole lives,
and Christ is teaching them howto be merciful, because mercy is
a fruit of the Holy Spirit andit's freedom and it's called
being born again.

(14:24):
Ladies and gentlemen, we'll saya prayer after this episode,
but what I want to do right nowis launch into a montage of
teaching on that particularverse and show you and expose
the wicked teaching out there inthis country and in this world.
So, ladies and gentlemen, areyou ready?

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Are we about to finish it up?
Yeah, we're about to get it alltaken up.
Yes, sir, I'm going to talk tomy Instagram family while we
clean it up on this side.
You know, nobody wants to talkabout money anymore.
It's almost like the big no-no,but I'm not scared to talk
about it a lick because Ibelieve.
Where the church is silent, thepeople struggle, and you know

(15:27):
what?
Seventy-eight percent ofeverybody incarcerated it was
over money.
The number one thing that putsa marriage under divorce court
is not adultery, it's money, andso I don't know why it's such a
taboo topic.
God said, jesus said give.
Stay with me now, because I'mgoing to tell you a story and it
shall be given unto you.
Pressed down, shaken together, run over shall men.

(15:49):
Nobody talks about that.
Shall men give unto yourbosomom.
We know about this god thatopens the windows of heaven, but
then he's talking about this, another form of blessing, where
men will give.
So that means god has assignedto the giver.
God goes before you and assignsdifferent people at different

(16:11):
junctures, who enter your lifewith exactly what you need,
exactly when you need it.
They, because some of them canpop in and pop out.
I remember in the early 90s whenwe had our first child.
I had a church with a handfulof members in a little metal
rented building.
My my first year's tax return Imade eighty six hundred dollars

(16:31):
.
We didn't have any insurance orany benefits and we had our
first kid without any insurance.
I remember we got a thirteenthousand eight hundred dollar
bill.
That may not seem like a lot toyou but to me, making eight
thousand dollars a year, thatwas like an insurmountable
mountain I would never be ableto climb.
So I figured I'm gonna bemaking payments on this kid
forever and I think it maybestarted out as 50 I don't know

(16:54):
7500 dollar a month payments.
But I've made that payment, ifI remember right, for about
seven years and paid it down tothree thousand dollars.
That's a long time.
And then I'm sitting there oneday at my little desk that we
got from walmart, I remember, with a like an elementary school
plastic chair.
That was my office and this guywalks in who owns a pest

(17:14):
control company.
I remember he had it on his hatand he said can I see the
pastor?
Well, at that time it was easyto get to me.
I took anybody's appointmentand I had a little part-time
secretary.
She said sure, and he came in.
He said you have a $3,000 billI'm supposed to pay off.

(17:35):
I had no relationship with thisguy.
He comes in off the road in themiddle of the day and names the
exact amount that I owed on itand I said yes, sir, I'll tell
you exactly what it is.
And he wrote out that check andI took that thing to the
hospital as fast as I could getthere and god eliminated that
debt.
Give and it shall be given untoyou.
Press down down shed and gotrun over.
Shall men give unto youbusiness?
I wonder what your posture ofgiving will unleash God to do

(17:59):
when it comes positioning peopleto help you get to the next
level.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Think about that, ladies and gentlemen?
Then that is Ron Carpenter'steaching that somehow God only
spoke three times audibly in theBible, the New Testament that
is.
But he had a $3,000 bill andGod sent someone in there to say
here's your $3,000 that youneed.

(18:28):
It's not biblical, it's notscriptural, it's a lie, it's not
exegetical teaching.
The principle of hermeneuticsis not being applied.
And can God do things?
Yes, can God send people?
Yes, can God do miracles?
And does he?
Absolutely 100%?
We cannot nullify and negateGod's sovereignty, his

(18:51):
omniscience, his omnipotence.
We cannot.
He's a glorious God.
But this is an example of thecontext precluding the pretext,
meaning Ron has taken pieces andbits out of the Bible and used
certain passages to support hispretext, which is phony, false

(19:14):
and eisegetical, and eisegeticaljust means mining and pulling
something out of the scripturesthat is not really intended to
be there, and he used it for hisown purposes.
Now, after the good measure andthe runneth over, let's go into
Jesus's teaching and then we'llclose out and see what he says

(19:36):
right after that.
And you be the judge of it.
Off of scripture, here we go,ladies and gentlemen.
He also told them this parableCan the blind lead the blind?
Will they not both fall into apit.
The student is not above theteacher.
But everyone who is fullytrained will be like the teacher
Christ is telling them I'mmerciful, I practice these

(20:02):
things.
Blind cannot lead the blind.
I am here for you.
Do the things that I do andyour eyes will be open.
And look what he says in verse41.
Why do you look at the speck ofsawdust in your brother's eye
and pay no attention to theplank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brotherbrother, let me take the speck

(20:25):
out of your eye, when youyourself fail to see the plank
in your own eye?
You, hypocrite.
First take the plank out ofyour eye and then you will see
clearly to remove the speck fromyour brother's eye.
So what are we talking abouthere?
This press down and runnethover and shaken and all this
stuff here we're talking about, ladies and gentlemen, just to

(20:46):
simplify it, in the gospel Inthe book of Luke, sermon of the
Mount, in the book of Matthew, show mercy and don't be a
hypocrite, because the Lord willrepay you.
With so much mercy from him, somuch love from him, you won't be

(21:06):
able to contain the joy in yourrelationship.
How else can the first centuryChristians go to the Hippodromes
and the Circus Maximus and beused as a torch with a tar shirt
on and just suffer and bepersecuted and systematically
destroyed?
And they were practicinggenocide?

(21:28):
Christ is saying this is a giftand a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's badteaching, it's bad morale, it's
not biblical and it leads peopleastray from our Lord, jesus
Christ.
So I was going to do a montage.
I just don't have the time.

(21:49):
We're going to close out, but Ijust wanted to kind of show you
about what Pastor Ron Carpenteris doing, and these are the
tricks these people use.
So, ladies and gentlemen, let'sclose out in a prayer.
Father God, I ask that yourelease the Holy Spirit in
fullness and you bless thesepeople and let them know, even
if they're poor, if they're inIndia, pakistan, iran, if

(22:12):
they're being persecuted inNorth Korea, any of these
countries, afghanistan, that yourelease the Holy Spirit on them
, lord, and let them know thatthey are rich, rich in faith,
rich in love, rich in mercy andLord.
They have everything pouredupon them by your grace and your
love.
And if there's anybody outthere that has not accepted

(22:36):
Jesus, please pray this prayer.
Father, god, thank you forsending your son to be
sacrificed for me.
I'm a sinner, I'm not worthy, Icannot be saved, I cannot do
nothing on my own.
Thank you for redeeming me, forgiving me the gift of faith,

(22:56):
for giving me the gift ofsalvation, for giving me a
relationship with you, lord, thank you, and I love your son
and I love you and I accept youand I need you, I want you, lord
, and I accept the sacrifice onthe cross, amen.

(23:18):
Ladies and gentlemen, if youprayed that prayer, welcome to
the family.
It's Pastor Joshua.
Feel free to donate to theministry if you like.
I just use it to spread God'skingdom, educate people, so on
and so forth.
Ladies and gentlemen, I loveyou Until we meet again.
This is Pastor Joshua, and Godbless you all.
