Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello pet enthusiasts , Welcome to Pet Chat.
My name is Jason Zukowski.
I'm the dog dad of Bunsen,Beaker and Bernoulli the science
dogs of social media.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
My co-hostess with the most is Hi there, my name is
Chris Zukowski and I am the dogmom of Bunsen, beaker and
Bernoulli and the cat mom toGinger.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Every week in Pet Chat.
We try to multicast.
We had a little tech problemtoday.
Instagram crashed.
We try to bring together ourplatforms on Facebook, instagram
and Twitter together.
Sometimes it doesn't work,that's okay.
It is what it is.
We have a strong feed going toFacebook right now and Twitter
Live and Twitter Spaces.
It is what it is All right.

(00:42):
We're going to start with someQ&A is what it is all right.
We're going to start with someq a now.
We don't have the big instagramcrew who likes to ask a lot of
questions, so our q a might beshort, so we'll start with that
today.
If you have some questions forchris or I about the dogs, the
cat, anything, type them up.
You could, even if you're onspaces, come up to ask a
question with audio.

(01:03):
We'll take that.
So we'll give everybody asecond to ask some questions if
they have one.
Because what happened in thepast, as I've said, is some
people have they just reallywanted to interact with us or
ask a question, and then we weresaving those to the very end,
which I think was frustrating abit because people were having

(01:23):
to wait so long and maybe theydon't have an hour of time to
give up.
Okay, so we'll give everybody asecond here to type up, ask
their questions and if not, thenwe'll move on.
That's okay.
People are saying hello.
People are talking about gingerdid or strut through.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
She's right there, going right by Bernoulli.
Oh, look at that look at that, and now right to Bunsen looking
out the window yeah thinkingmaybe I can jump on that dog and
get out the window.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Bernoulli's watching her okay, we got some questions,
chris.
We'll start with nicole.
Nicole is and could you checkthe chat on twitter, chris and
I'll do the live yes, I havebeen checking the chat, okay,
perfect how's bunsen's healthnow?
is he off to?
Is he back to off lead walksagain?

(02:21):
We think his health is doinggreat.
We are not having him onoff-league leaf league, the
off-leash walks.
I think this week we're goingto be booking him in for some
rehab like physio chris.
That's the plan on monday.
It's just been.
It's been a slow process becausea physio occurs during the day
and chris and I are teachers andthat is very difficult to get

(02:41):
time off during the day to takehim to it.
So we were waiting for for thesummer.
If it was more of an emergencywe'd be faster.
But he is doing great.
He doesn't seem to be in anydiscomfort.
He's coming on walks with usthat we do monitor him very
carefully.
And we were told you were told,I think that even with surgery
he would only get back to 80%best case scenario and I think

(03:04):
he's better than 80%, back tobetter than 80%.
And then we were told that hemay never be allowed to go on
off-leash walks again because ofthe chance that he could cause
a re-injury.
Anything else to add, chris, before we go to the next one?

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Yeah, because if we go off leash, the dogs play
together and they run up to eachother and they have a great
time.
And anything like a play bow orgoing down a hill and getting
knocked over or pushed byBernoulli as he just streamlines
by because he is a bull in achina shop, that's for sure.
We just wouldn't want that tohappen.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
So that's just our way of keeping our he's my baby,
he's my puppy keeping him safeyeah, that's a good question he
still gets to yeah, he stillgets to enjoy time with us, and
we didn't get to enjoy time withhim okay now I think that we're
going to save holly's questionsfor our main stories of the
week because it's about to burnnewly's new play camp.
So we'll save Holly.

(04:04):
We'll get to your question.
We're going to save that for alittle bit later.
Jenny asked a really goodquestion why ginger didn't get a
sciencey name.
Chris, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
So ginger was a rescue and we had to have her.
Adam and I were in bone andBiscuit here in Red Deer and
they have the society that theywork with that rescues animals.
And we saw Ginger and I said,Adam, we have to get this cat.
And her name was Ginger.
And when she was there and I,when we brought her home after

(04:39):
it was all said and done and Isaid, Are you okay with her name
?
Do you want to change her name?
We can change it to somethingsciencey and Adam's no, her name
is just fine the way she is andthat's her.
That's.
We love her.
Yeah, Just the way she is.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
On Twitter, cowboy cat ranch has a question about
beakers adventure and that'sgoing to be my story of the week
, so we'll get to that storywhen we get to stories of the
week.
We'll take a couple more andthen we'll get to that story.
When we get to stories of theweek, we'll take a couple more
and then we'll get to the normalpart of the program.
How would you say this person'sname, chris?
I don't want to say it wrongmanisha manishi.

(05:13):
sorry, misha, misha dean yeah, misha dean what made you want to
get a golden retriever to goalong with your bernies.
So bunsen came after we we hadwe lost our first family dog,
callan, and callan was a goldenretriever.

(05:34):
So she was a big part of ourfamily and a huge part of my
heart and I love that dog somuch.
I I love, I love goldenretrievers.
So after we got Bunsen andthere were so many good things
about Bunsen and specific to hisbreed that are just amazing I

(05:55):
was missing the golden retrieverpart and she was such a good
fit for Bunsen.
She was a little chaotic puppy.
I've been reposting on meta uh,their interactions every day.
I try to post a new episode.
I think we're up to likeepisode five or six.
So, yeah, they got along reallygreat.
Yeah, she was a COVID puppy too, so we got her when we had time

(06:20):
at home.
Of course there's.
We had to fight somesocialization issues with her a
little later, so it was goodtime to get a dog.
It was very tough to socializeher, but she's doing great now
I'm at home.
Of course, we had to fight somesocialization issues with her a
little later, so it was a goodtime to get a dog.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
It was very tough to socialize her, but she's doing
great now Anything else to addChris, yeah, and I found that
interesting because I thought,oh, you know what, she'll know
how to be a dog, because we havea dog at home.
But socializing a dog isn'tjust staying at home with your
other dog, it's being out in thewild, yeah, and seeing other

(06:48):
dogs in the wild, yeah, andthere's a certain energy she
doesn't appreciate, and so it'scalled luckily.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Well, it's called Bernoulli, but he gets on her
last nerve and she tells himyeah, sometimes he'll just be
sitting there and doing nothingand she just has an issue with
him and we're like beaker, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (07:09):
so anyway, he's done nothing.
Yeah, did I share the successstory at the vet when she walked
in and she walked right intothe bum of a german shepherd?
uh no so when beaker on monday,it might be that last Monday or
the Monday before she got herupdated shots or updated
vaccines and she walked right inand normally I'm pretty careful

(07:32):
, but like she was, she satbefore we went in Everything's
calm, everything's great.
And she walked in and then shewas like boop nose to butt of a
German Shepherd and I was like,oh, but you know what?
Nothing happened.
Yeah, cause, sometimes when shedoesn't know the dog, she's
whoa and nothing happened.

(07:53):
And the other mom, she's causeand plus, dogs are on leash when
you're in the vet office.
So, like some dogs are not welltrained on leash or it adds to
that more aggression.
And the other dog mom said, yeah, my dog is not great on
leash, is a bit leash aggressive, and there was no issue.
So we attribute that to hercontinuing to go to waggles and

(08:14):
playing with her friends andwe're so proud of her.
If you're watching on live, youcan see Ginger right across the
screen there.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
She's going to lay down next to Bernoulli.
That's what she's been doingall week.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
He's watching her.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
He has the angel and devil on his shoulders right now
.
The devil's maul her and theangel's be a good boy.
Oh, he's going to be a good boy.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
He's going to be a good boy.
Yeah, maybe if I go from thisangle and flick my tail she
tries to get him to do stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
See, if she was, I don't know.
We sometimes get angry commentsabout how mean bernoulli is.
When he was a puppy and I waslike if she was scared of him or
didn't like him she would notcome anywhere near him at all.
She always came back for moreanyways, oh, maybe there's some
licking here happening.
All right time for stories ofthe week.

(09:08):
Chris, you go first.
You got a story about horsingaround oh yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
So holly's question at the very beginning was has
bernoulli been expelled fromwaggles?
and the answer is absolutely notno they do love him there and
actually he's done someimprovements.
Now there are a few ladies thatdo really pique his interest
there at Waggles, like Lottie.
He really likes her, andthere's another one I have to

(09:39):
think of her name.
So those days, willow, thosedays are a little tougher on him
in the morning, when the ladiesare there and he's fresh.
In the afternoon he's tired,he's oh no, it's too hot, I'm
too tired, I don't need anyactivity.
But he has not been expelledfrom Waggles but we are looking
at another venue for when we aregoing away to our trip, which

(10:00):
is coming up quite quickly.
I have a friend coming over towatch the dogs because waggles
couldn't accommodate them forthe entire trip length and I was
like whoa, three dogs is a lot,Like three dogs is a lot for me
.
Three dogs and Ginger, who isescapee, likes to jump out and

(10:22):
get out, that's a lot for ahuman to handle and I know, I
know Amy would feel awful ifsomething were to happen,
because Ginger got out on Jasontoday and he knows that she's
going to get out and then she'swink and out, she goes, and then
, ah, what do you do?
Because then the dogs, you haveto get them in the house and
it's a gong show.
It's a gong show our life.

(10:42):
So I've taken bernoulli toanother place, another facility,
that because really I thinktaking care of look at them,
look at bunsen and beaker.
That's what they do all day.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
They just lay around and ginger just lays around too.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
There are couch potatoes they are, but bernoulli
in the mix is a lot.
We're taking him to anotherfacility that has miniature
horses and Bernoulli loves them.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
He loves the miniature horses.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
He loves them and there's other dogs there and he
looks at them and he's likeyou're a dog, it's okay, the
other dogs are very interestedin him.
But he goes right up to theminiature horses and goes nose
to nose with them and he reallylikes them and it's like therapy
.
They just go nose to nose andjust hang out and it's super
awesome.

(11:33):
Like they, they just go nose tonose and just hang out and it's
super awesome.
He really gets along with aminiature red stallion and just
a few others there that hereally likes.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
So that's good, so it's a win yeah, he puts his
nose up to the because thehorses aren't in the same pen as
Bernoulli.
Right, he's, they're separated.
But he go, he sees he wants tosee the horse.
All day.
Horses, and they put their nosetogether, which is super cute.
We may ask them if they willtake a picture, but they
generally don't like media taken.

(12:02):
They also don't know whoBernoulli is.
He's just a dog.
So we might want to keep itthat way too.
Yeah, because it might be weird.
Hey, hey, could you take apicture of Bernoulli interacting
with the horse for social mediaand yeah, so that would be a
whole thing.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
No, and he's gone.
For what I really appreciateabout this place is they like to
keep their current client safe,so they do vet the dogs that
they take under their care, andbut they also want to keep any
other dogs, like new dogs, safetoo.
They're like.
We would really like to get toknow him a little bit, make sure

(12:43):
that he responds to, respondsto them in a positive way, and
of course Bernoulli does.
He is a good dog, but he alsoat the first he's I'm not sure
about you and he's just shy, hejust gets shy.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
He's a bit shy.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
He just gets a little bit shy and what we want him.
We just worked really well.
It's going to work great.
I'm I know it.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yeah, and then once he's there, he's happy.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
And somebody was asking, I think Steve, in
comments, who's bigger, bunsenor the horses?
And we were told they're theexact same size, Bernoulli and
the horse.
They're the same size.
All right, good story, chris.
My story of the week is onTuesday Tuesday.

(13:31):
Was it Tuesday Tuesday lastweek?
The chem 30s and Chem 20s mystudents, wrote their final exam
.
So the Chem 30s have this biggovernment test in Alberta,
canada, called the diploma, andthat is written by teams of
usually teachers, and then it isa very tough, very rigorous
test.
All 30-1, 30-2 subjects havethese tests and then those tests

(13:58):
are part of your mark andthat's mandated by the
government.
So schools don't get to decidehow much of the test is part of
your final mark.
The government decides.
Now it used to be 50%, so theywere very high stakes, very
stressful tests for kids Becauselike you could have a 70 and

(14:20):
you could have test anxiety andwrite a 50 and then your average
is a 60.
Right, you'd average the two.
The diplomas have dropped to 30, so there's still pretty big
chunk.
Anybody who's gone topost-secondary knows that your
final is usually worth a bigchunk.
So it's getting the kids readyfor that.
Long story short, I broughtBeaker because Bernoulli was off
that day.
He was, I think, at that place.
Chris, I think he was at.

(14:40):
No, oh, he was at Waggles.
He was at Waggles.
He was at Waggles, yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
No, he wasn't.
He was at home.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
On Tuesday it was.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Monday your it was Monday, your exam was on Monday.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Oh, I got the days wrong.
Yeah, bernoulli was at home.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
And I was trying to book for Monday.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Oh, okay, yeah, I got this wrong.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Bernoulli and Beaker don't go to Waggles on Monday.
But then I canceled.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Bernoulli on Tuesday so he could go to the facility.
I didn't bring Bernoullibecause I was still helping kids
all day, because the Chem 20swrote at one.
And it's not that Bernoulli isa bad dog, he's just still a
puppy and smells bad, smelt bad, because he was swimming in
sloughs and I didn't want tomake the kids grossed out about
how he smells.
So it was just Beaker and shedid great.

(15:27):
She was all smiles all day.
She I waited outside the gymwhere the kids wrote their final
and she a lot of the kidspetted her on the way in.
Yeah, it was.
She's very sweet with the kids,so she's miss gregarious loves
everybody.
It was awesome.
Yeah, so that's the beakerstory.

(15:47):
I don't have anything.
I don't have anything else,chris.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Was I going to say another story, Remember I was
talking about?
Oh, I should add that to thestory.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
What.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
I don't know, I can't remember.
That's something I could talkabout this week During this pet
chat.
I even talked about it?

Speaker 1 (16:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Maybe it was during the Kah about it, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Maybe it was during the kahoot, I don't know I don't
know we did.
I picked up the dogs was itthursday?
I picked them up, I think so,from waggles and I asked and
char is the owner, she was theone that was doing drop off and
I asked her how bernoulli's daywas and it was much the same,
like he had a good day gettingbetter.

(16:36):
And then I asked about beaker, because I'm always curious how
she's doing and they're justlike they just love beaker so
much there.
She gets along with all thedogs, she has little dog friends
that she runs around with andplays, and so that I just wanted
to, like I told char we're justso thankful that we were able
to bring Beaker because, like, her ability to get all get along

(17:00):
with dogs was like 50 50sometimes she would like dogs,
sometimes she wouldn't, and nowit's way, way higher and she has
dog friends but, jason, I thinkthat can be attributed to what
we were doing.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
So if we're in the vehicle, that's her vehicle and
this is my vehicle and you'renot allowed in my vehicle, and
so she'll bark at them, and soit's mainly stems from that
resource protecting, and thatcould be attributed to COVID,
where she just was at home.
We all were at home and I hungout with her all day at home

(17:36):
because I taught from home.
And so her normal is this is myplace, this is my, this is my
family.
They're mine and not yours.
It doesn't want to share.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Somebody reminded you in the chat, it's Ginger and
the Storms.
You in the chat, it's gingerand ginger and the storms.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
Oh yeah, ginger and the storms.
Okay, we live in Alberta and wedefinitely experienced
inclement weather, but not likeBC, where I'm from, where it
would rain and rain.
And what's the weather today?
Raining here in Alberta it canbe sunny one minute and then
thunderstorming the next minute.

(18:14):
And so what happens is Ginger.
We didn't realize this at first, but with the first or second
storm we noticed that she goesdownstairs and she does hide.
And the other dogs, they don'tcare, they don't care at all
about the storms, they're likenot even worried.
In fact Jason's oh, let's gofor a walk.
And I said Jason, a storm iscoming, there's lightning over

(18:35):
there, and Jason's it's fine, the dogs will be fine.
I'm like we are not going outBecause thunder and lightning
can be frightening, especiallyto dogs, and I didn't want them
to get spooked.
But yeah, ginger doesn't likethe storms and at first I was
scared we lost her that shesomehow got outside, but she
didn't.
She just was really hiding verywell.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Yeah, down downstairs , usually behind a couch.
There's a couple of couchesdownstairs, yeah, and a bunch of
clutter.
That's a job for the summer.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Yeah, like I was looking at it today, adam is
purging his closet.
Yeah, and you would think thatmaybe he would be taking it to
goodwill?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
no, but just just just to.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
The couch is just to the like out of his room, just
into the living area down there.
This hasn't even made it veryfar but he's purchased his
closet like there it is, butit's not.
When do the next step Get itout of the house?
All right I purged my closetlast summer, so I'm going to do
it again.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yeah, I think it's smart to do that and then give
to goodwill what you don't need,if you can do community sharing
more stuff.
Just kidding.
Yeah, absolutely no-transcriptoh nice, yeah, I I left.

(20:01):
Oh, is that why you're privatechatting me?
oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
So one other thing you'llnotice.
One of the things you'll startto notice or hear is I've I met
with sebastian dr ball fromcowboy cat wrench today and
we're gonna be doing somepromotion for what they do.

(20:22):
So you'll I haven't don't havean ad or anything yet written
for them, so that's coming, butyou'll see, like in our
newsletter, some stuff aboutcowboy cat because they do good
stuff for cats, good researchfor cats and cat well-being, and
, of course, we love cats and welove ginger right so that's if
you're looking, yeah, and ifyou're looking here on audio

(20:43):
spaces, the avatar is a pinkpurpley background with cowboy a
black cat and it's CCR felineresearch center and there's a
whole story about cowboy the cat.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
And just leading into what Sebastian is doing now,
yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
So if you'd like to, if you'd like to come up to
share a story on Twitter or X,we'll have you, and if you want
to and if you want to type up astory, we'll read it.
I think Tracy typed up a storyfor us.
Yeah, tracy, sure did I'll putthat in test and do you want to
read it, or do you want me toread it?

Speaker 2 (21:25):
I can read it.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Okay, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
So cats and I are good.
Tracy has two cats.
They're tuxedo cats.
They are named Amy and Holt, and you might know those names
from Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Tracy's a huge fan of that showand they're good.
Tracy had her window fixedbecause it was broken and the

(21:50):
cats have not broken anythingelse, which is good, and they
were party animals last night.
So she is very tired.
I will wear them out with alaser cat toy that they love and
going home to them now andhoping to sleep better tonight.
I tell you cats and shenanigans.
Ginger broke two of my candleholders.

(22:15):
You're like oh.
And then I bought OK, this isawkward I bought a grad frame
for to put Adam's grad picturein, to put it beside duncan's
and jason's what's this for?
And I'm like oh, for adam'sgrad picture.
And he's oh, from when hegraduated two years ago.
And I'm like oh, yeah, that'sthat tracks um better than ever

(22:39):
okay, yeah, ginger broke it, soI have.
I'm like it's okay, I can glueit.
And then you said that'sexactly what adam said, that you
can glue it yeah yeah, ifnobody else wants to come up.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
There's a request for a story of ginger getting out.
That would be a dailyoccurrence, though.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
Okay, we can explain how it happens.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
It depends?
No, it depends.
So Ginger gets into the garagenearly every day because the way
the door opens she hides in theblind spot and you have to like
you're like, you're looking in,you're looking in, you don't
see the cat, and then you haveto look in just enough to see
her and it's that at that pointshe can escape.

(23:27):
So when you open the door, youdon't see a cat.
She's right around the blindspot of the way the door opens.
And then, to make matters worse, usually there's three dogs, big
dogs, super happy to see you,and you're like, oh hi, dogs,
and super happy to see you.
And you're like oh hi, dogs.
And just as you're saying oh hi, the cat shoots out underneath

(23:47):
their legs and into the garageand that's relatively safe for
her.
There's nothing harmful in thegarage, like there's no
antifreeze she can get into andshe's caught a mouse or two.
So she likes going into thegarage to like hunt, I think
yeah, because it's like a chancefor a prize every time yeah,
it's like the hunger games inthere for her, but she shouldn't
be hungry no, she shouldn't behungry, okay, but it's.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
But at the front door , there it's a bit more of a
problem because she can get outand into the wild and we have to
run and catch her.
Sometimes she runs, sometimesshe doesn't.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
It's just unpredictable yeah, that door
opens into the wild world yeahall right.
So that's the how ginger getsout.
Sometimes, the sometimes it'sbernoulli's fault, because you
open the door, crack to see ifthe cat's there.
And if the cat's there, you'relike go, ginger, go.

(24:42):
And she's I'm a cat, I don'tlisten to this.
So you have to like shoot.
You shoot her with your foot oryour hand or something.
You don't hurt her or anything,and she's okay, I'll go, that's
.
I understand that.
I don't understand what you'retalking to me.
I'm not, I don't care.
And then bernoulli will takehis big head and he'll go here's
bernoulli wham.
And he'll smash his headthrough the crack of the door,

(25:03):
flinging the door open.
And then Ginger can get out.
And you don't see that comingbecause you're looking at the
cat through the crack.
You're like Ginger move.
And then all of a suddenthere's a Bernoulli head that
has smashed the door openbecause he's a goober.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
And it's especially bad if you have your hands full.
Oh yeah, that's the worstbecause you can't stop anything.
You can't stop anything, yeah, but it is almost a daily
occurrence happening at ourhouse, but I try and not let her
out.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
No, she shouldn't go out, it's dangerous.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
She shouldn't.
It's dangerous out in the wildfor her.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Yeah, all right.
Hey, we've got no speakers, chris First time.
Yeah, all right.
Hey, we've got no speakers, chris, first time ever.
We can answer a couple morequestions and then we can have
an early night, maybe, ifeverybody's okay with that.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Leverages the dogs yes, yeah, she does use the dog
to her advantage yes she also isgetting very good at.
I like I liken it to vegas in aslot machine, because she'll
shove her paw into her automaticfeeder and, if it's just right,

(26:21):
she'll flick her wrist and morefood will come out.
And then she keeps trying.
But I think like she gets it acertain way and then she has to
wait for the cycle to delivermore food and then she's back at
it, she's.
She is like someone at theslots who's addicted to getting
the prize.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
And my analogy is she reminds me of the older
hoodlums, the older like when Iwas growing up there you'd go to
the arcade and that was a lotof fun.
And at the arcade there'd behoodlums there that would be
screwing around with the pinballmachines and they knew how to
get extra games from the pinballmachines.
And that's who she reminds meof.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Jenny on the screen.
My Rosie cat lurks by the door.
When she does escape, usuallybecause of her 80 pound golden
doodle she immediately seems tofreeze and wonder why she wanted
to get out and then runs backin.
Yeah, sometimes we see thatwith Ginger, but sometimes she's
see you later.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
She doesn't go far, I'm going to go eat.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
She doesn't go far.
She could go far.
She could, and she is a craftylittle thing, kelly, you're
absolutely right.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Madison likes your nails, Chris.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Oh, hey, thank you, they're amazing.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Yeah, kara says, as you're talking about, ginger is
trending on Twitter.
Chris, I actually saw that as Iwas logging in.
I don't know why.
I don't know which ginger istrending.
There's Ginger the Beagle sothat ginger.
There's Gingerbread Tiggs, whois some cat, I don't know who.

(28:18):
Gingerbread Tiggs, red Tigsthey have a somewhat viral video
.
It's a black cat.
I'm just looking through thewhat it is and none of it.
Oh, there's text from Bunsenwith us, but none of it is like

(28:38):
our cat, ginger.
I don't know why ginger istrending On Twitter.
That's weird.
Okay, the video of ginger wascute.
She did seem to like it was thewin more than the one little
kibble.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Yeah, that's true, I think we'll, when you get
rewarded with one kibble, butthen sometimes you get four and
then sometimes whoa.
You just never know.
It's always a game.
In the chat Pamela said my cattries to go down into the
basement and Pam Pamela chasedher down the furnace and back up

(29:19):
the stick, back up the stairs.
Didn't want her getting spiedwith spider webs on her.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
Oh yeah, ew, I think we'll wrap it up, chris, and not
keep everybody while we stallfor time.
Sometimes that happens, that'sokay.
Just a couple of things on ourend.
Three things, really.
Very excitingly, the Fun Factswith Bernoulli book we wrote

(29:45):
that folks who got it in thescience bundle, the bernoulli
science bundle, bernoulli'sprinciple you're all going to
get that and the pop pop, pophack.
People have already got thedigital copy of the book.
Tomorrow I'll be sending thatout to everybody else so that
you get that for free everybodywho got the bernoulli bundle.
But those books are on the wayto our house, so we're really

(30:06):
excited to see what they looklike.
We have to hold a certainamount back for the bundle, of
course, and then the rest willbe on our store, so we'll try to
keep it at a price that's fair, and I think everybody who gets
the book will also get thedigital book with it too, for
free.
I think it's really well doneand I hope everybody likes it.
Who gets it?

Speaker 2 (30:28):
We love it.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
It was so fun to write.
Yeah, it was.
I got to do a little bit oftext from Bunsen like that kind
of back and forth humor alongwith facts.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Yeah, and of course, there's pictures of our dogs
that some of you may or may nothave seen.
I'm not sure if you're aware.
There's very.
There's an astronomical amountof pictures on the phone and we
can't share them all, sosometimes you get a sneak peek
of something that you've neverseen before.
It's like the pinball slashslot machine beater Sometimes

(31:06):
you've seen, get one, andsometimes you get stuff that
you've never seen.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
That's true.
That's true, we opened theBernoulli pre-sale stuffy till
the end of June.
So we got a whole schwack ofnew fans who joined us on
Instagram and Facebook and theyguaranteed they had no idea this
was a thing.
So I opened it and I haven'treally been pushing it that hard
Like one advertisement everythree days in a story and then

(31:33):
in the newsletter.
It is what it is.
I don't want to like in datepeople with that because it's
gross.
But if you were interested, itis open till the end of June and
then it's closed, so all of thedeals that come with it.
It is open till the end of Juneand then it's closed, so all of
the deals that come with it.
Like, chris and I sourced abunch of fun stuff that the
pre-sale is going to get theregular sales isn't, so just a
heads up there.
And then we are taking a hiatusfrom Pet Chat for a bit.

(31:56):
So we are on holidays, not nextweek, but the week after.
We fly out early on Sunday.
So we will need saturday to likeprep and stuff like that yeah,
don't tell people the exactthings okay, but I'm just saying
we're not gonna have pet chaton saturday, yeah, and then that

(32:17):
will be two saturdays in a rowwe will not have pet chat.
So there will not be pet chaton the 5th and there will not be
pet chat on the 12th, and thenwe're back on the 19th with a
special guest chris.
Should I say now I don't,should I say who the special

(32:38):
guest is?

Speaker 2 (32:39):
yeah, I wasn't sure, because sometimes you like to
keep a secret, but then youactually can't keep a secret.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
No, I can't keep any secrets.
I'm so bad.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
And then I'm the gatekeeper of the secrets, but
is this something that you wantto share, or do you want to keep
mystery?

Speaker 1 (32:56):
No, I can tell people , our guest on the 19th is the
artist John Hoym, so we're goingto be talking to him about the
process that he goes throughwith the art that he does.
If you're especially on Twitter, he does just such a good job
of capturing some of the momentsthat the pets have go through
in a very heartfelt manner, in avery heartfelt way.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
This is an amazing get, yeah, john Haim.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Yeah, I need to post the photo that he did.
I just forgot actually, so Igotta take some pictures of it.
Who's that?

Speaker 2 (33:31):
adam, yeah yes okay adam is our dog.
Whisperer look at that.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
That, okay, as we close out today, summer has
officially started for Chris andI.
I started a little bit earlierthan you, and today was like
your first day of summer becauseyou worked yesterday.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Yes, it was, and today I got to do a whole bunch
of laundry.
That was a prize.
Yeah, I folded socks.
Well, it's got to be done.
It's got to be done, yeah, so Idid that and we had a great day
.
It was a good day.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Yeah, okay.
So we will see you guys in abit.
We will not be back for a while.
Again, we won't be back tillJune or July 19th.
So no patch at the 5th, nopatch at the 12th, and then
we're back on the 19th.
So take care, everybody, enjoythe first part of your summer
when we're back after a holiday.

(34:34):
Chris and I are going to behard at work on finishing the
calendar and text from Bunsenvolume four, which we should
have art for soon, and it'sgoing to be I don't know what
the best word for the art isBittersweet.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
Bittersweet, but keep this one a secret.
This one's a secret, yeah, thisone's a secret, yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Okay, take care everybody, we'll see you guys in
a couple weeks.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Thanks for coming.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Okay, bye-bye.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
Bye-bye, bye-bye.
