Speaker 1 (02:07):
We'll be right back.
Yeah, all right.
Welcome back to another podcastof the Scotchy Bourbon Boys.
Tiny here with Super Nash Woo.
All right, so I'm excited.
I'm excited for this podcast.
How about yourself, super Nash?
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Absolutely, man.
We went up to Chicago and itwas fantastic time just hanging
out.
It wasn't a scotchy bourbon boything, but it was right.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Right, right, and
that's what we wanted to talk
about, because we didn't gothere specifically looking for.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Let me see if I we
didn't go there to specific
distilleries and masterdistillers and do podcasts, and
all that the whole time.
As a matter of fact, you didn'teven bring the podcast
equipment.
You know.
All we did was bring ourselvesand our cameras and our drinking
ability, right.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Correct.
I mean, yeah, there was a lotof what would you say for what
we were doing.
It was very relaxing for mebecause I didn't have the
pressure.
So I always put a lot ofpressure on myself to be able to
pull off as high of quality ofa podcast we can do on the road.
(03:32):
So there's a lot of equipmentto remember and somehow I'm
always forgetting something thatdoesn't matter.
One way or another, it's like Ican't forget anything and it's
not like you can go back youknow six hours and get it and
we're not there in one placelong enough for the only thing
you could do half the time is goout and buy new equipment.
(03:53):
But that pressure was off me,which was fantastic.
You know what I mean.
It was great that that was.
That's the way it was, and so Iwas super excited for this
particular uh trip.
And uh, we'll talk about thatbecause there was some actual
bourbon hunting that we did, uhthere in Chicago and we learned
(04:15):
a lot.
And uh, we got to thank JohnRitt for that.
And then Randy Ford came alongand he's going to be on.
Probably.
They'll probably be onafterwards on youtube and
facebook once we're finishedwith this part of the audio
podcast tonight.
Uh, I'm super nash.
I'm gonna quick do the promo, but I've got a little thing to
put you on the spot.
(04:35):
You didn't say anything aboutthat.
No, not at all.
So www, www.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
God www.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
My time is going so
quick.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
I just think I've got
to go wwwscotchiebourbonboyscom
for all things Scotchie BourbonBoys and then check it out for
you know T-shirts, glencaronsand all our info, everything.
You can contact me also directon Facebook, through Messenger
or whatever, and if you'reinterested we'll set you up with
whatever you need.
And then also remember on someof our bottle picks.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Yeah, and also don't
forget our Glen, our Crystal
Glen, cairn Club, and I dobelieve that you are going to
mention pretty soon going to behaving a crystal decanter club.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Well, I was going to
save that for a surprise, okay,
I guess I guess there it goes.
Now we look at super nash hasdone a super nash has also yeah,
we'll give you more details onthat coming up.
That is still across the pond, but it's something that was kind
(05:51):
of cool that I really amexcited to be able to tell you
more details in coming up.
So once that gets across, we'regoing to have chances for more
people just to that part.
And then we have a barrel pickcoming, a new barrel pick coming
up in September.
(06:11):
So we'll talk about that in alittle bit.
But remember we're on Facebook, instagram, youtube and X and
also Apple.
Iheart and Spotify are theaudios that we're on, or the
audios that we're on.
But no matter whether you watchus or listen to us, make sure
that you like, listen, subscribe, comment and leave good
feedback.
(06:31):
The good feedback means so much.
If you could give us afive-star on Apple or iHeart,
that works out really good.
Leave good feedback on Facebook, because this is how we keep
doing, what we do to bring thisgood content.
Hmm, original.
I did not say it was a decanter.
(06:51):
It's the Crystal Glencairn Clubwhich will have the Randy
Pressey.
It's like ripping on me becauseof the decanter club.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
It's not a decanter
club, it's kind of my fault,
because he hadn't actually namedit.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Oh, my God so.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
I'm trying to spit it
out there, Randy.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Yeah, it's not El
Presidente, I'm sorry El
Presidente, it's just Anyways.
So but that's that's, that'shilarious, anyways.
So you know, there it is.
I mean, just like, what a start.
What a start, wouldn't you sayto the podcast Having fun.
(07:35):
I mean, we're here right now totalk about.
You know, seriously, what itwas like to the difference of
bourbon hunting in Chicago to us, to me.
You know just the differenceoverall, when we were in Chicago
with one of the things you know, super Nash, got there on
(07:59):
Thursday.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Thursday and so he
got to experience.
You know, it immediatelystarted like 15 minutes out
after I picked up my rental carat the airport.
I went in 15 minutes outsidethe airport before I was
stopping at the first liquorstore.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Right, and you
started off and then, like I had
visited John John Ritt, and Idid a tasting for him last, I
believe it was in August, because before I, you know, we
were promoting our barrel pickand I brought it through and met
his brother and then some ofhis friends and I did a tasting
(08:45):
there and when I was driving, Igot off on the exit and I was
driving to his house, I passedfive freaking liquor stores.
I couldn't believe it.
It was liquor stores and what, whatnot.
And I mean, you're talkingabout Chicago.
It's basically yeah, randy,we're not talking.
(09:10):
So John Ritz said I have to postthe share.
Let's interrupt right here.
I will share.
I got to first make sure I'vegot up the.
Let's see, there it is.
Let's go here.
Photos, there, they'll come up.
I think I can do it.
I'll just let me see.
I have to get down to thebottom.
(09:32):
I will post the share of whathe's talking about.
Um, uh, there's, there's a, arestaurant in in Chicago that
John Ritt is talking about.
So here we go, I'm in Chicagoand we're at the Cub game.
So it would be after the Cubgame, correct?
Yeah, there, it is All right, let's see.
(09:56):
Yes, all right, so I will sharethat real quick to everybody.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
Whiskey Doc is
pointing out that even though I
got there on Thursday, I waslate to the party because they
started hunting.
Whiskey Doc started hunting onMonday on his way up there.
Him and John were alreadyhunting the day before I got
(10:24):
there.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
All right, so that's
so.
I grabbed that and okay, so I'mgoing to share it.
This is for El Presidente.
It's up there, I believe.
Oh, I should have that there.
It is for everybody else.
You can see that.
This is there, it is foreverybody else.
You can see that this is therestaurant that we passed in
(10:49):
Wrigleyville, right outside ofWrigleyville, called El
Presidente.
We passed that multiple times.
Let's see, can I?
Yeah, we did, I tried to getbigger.
Anyways, there you go, elPresidente.
There's your restaurant.
We almost ate there in honor ofyou.
So there you go.
(11:10):
There you go.
I guess I can.
Now I'll probably be able toshare.
Let's see, let's go there.
Oh, that's not yeah.
All right, so there we go, we'reback to.
That's not, yeah, all right, sothere we go, we're back to.
I have no idea what's going onover here.
Let's get out of there, allright.
(11:32):
Wow, a lot of bizarre thingsare happening right now.
I got to somehow get back toFacebook.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
John said, whiskey
ducks started hunting as soon as
he woke up from his own bed.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
I wonder if it jumped
over here.
Now, that should not be over.
Okay, I could put that backthere.
All right, so we're here.
I'm just trying to find theFacebook.
Let's see if I can find Safari.
No, I got to find.
It keeps doing dumb things.
There we go.
(12:05):
No, that's not what I want.
Oh, anyways, I can't now.
I lost all my it's right here.
Right, it's like where did itgo?
Oh, wow, Because I like tofollow Facebook and have the you
(12:27):
know be able to have.
Let's get off of that.
Okay, it's not over there.
No, they're there.
So I just lost the share onFacebook.
You guys got it right so youcan do the comments.
I just wanted to know whatRandy had to say.
Yeah, that's just weird.
(12:51):
It was there and then it wasgone.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
It's got to be hiding
, doesn't it?
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yeah, I can get rid
of my eyes that somewhere and or
I threw it over here, but Idon't think I threw it over here
what are you looking for now?
I'm looking for Facebook so Ican monitor the comments, and
it's all of a sudden gone Up atthe top.
(13:27):
Oh, is it down here?
Did I throw it over here?
No, I did not Look at all thisstuff.
That's hidden.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
That's not there.
I think you need a biggercomputer screen.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Nope, this has to go.
This is going to be bizarre.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Let's get off the
full screen.
All right, that makes no sense.
One of those icons up at thetop.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Nope, and let's get
this out of here.
There we go.
It's supposed to be over on thesecond screen.
All right, I don't need my mail.
This is fun, everybody, allright.
Anyways, let's get back tobourbon hunting in Chicago and
I'll try and figure that out.
So we started off.
(14:20):
We started off the day.
I drove all the way.
There we go, let's see if I canget.
I drove all the way there we go, let's see if I can get this up
All the way.
Unbelievable it was on theother screen.
There it is, it's up.
I'm good.
That's it for sharing for me.
Folks, I will do it.
(14:42):
I got it.
I actually figured it out.
We started off.
I started off driving on.
You got there on Thursday andyou did a little bit of hunting.
But you were able to hunt withRandy Ford and you were able to
hunt with John Ritt on thatThursday.
A little bit, talk about that.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
Where did we go?
Speaker 1 (15:06):
I think you went.
You could have went.
Did you go to Woodman's?
Speaker 3 (15:10):
No, you went to oh
yeah, we went to a few places.
We went to Benny's yeah, wewent to a Benny's by his house.
Yeah, woodman's, and also toMalloy's, which is right there
by his house, or no, we didn'tgo to Malloy's that day.
(15:32):
Yeah, we went to Benny's and wewent to Woodman's.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
And John says Benny's
.
So yeah, so there you go.
So you were at those coupleplaces and you were able to pick
up, like so one of the things,it's a Friday, right, and John's
talking about all thesedifferent drops.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
Woodman's had some
stuff at MSRP they they had an
old fashioned copper.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Oh, old fire, Old old
fire copper.
An old fire, copper, firecopper yeah, ofc 2006 for MSRP.
Which was like $2,500, was it?
Speaker 3 (16:14):
not yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Just a little bit
above MSRP, right, but I mean
they had a lot of stuff that was.
You know, some was MSRP andsome was just a little bit above
, but most everything was rightthere close in that price range
at Woodman's.
And then everybody knows aboutBenny's and what they have and
(16:42):
great selection, barrel picksand things like that Great cigar
humidor which I picked up, somenever found before Drew Estate
cigars.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
You sent me home with
some of those.
Yes, I did.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
Yes, and shared some
with John too.
Too, while we were up there, while we were sitting around, uh
, the fire pit and uh, late inthe evening which it was a nice
cool night got down to about 60degrees, so it was perfect to
fire up the fire pit and uh,have a several good great pours.
(17:22):
Oh, my gosh, some of thebottles and I guess you can't
share the pictures anymore, since some of the bottles that
we were sharing out there hadsome friends at Randy Med in
line.
Oh yeah, john, the Liga Privadacigars by Drew Estate.
I found those up there.
(17:42):
I've never seen them before andthey were fantastic Great
cigars and pair very well withwhiskeys and bourbons.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Right, right and okay
, there we go.
I'm still trying to.
So that night then you wentback and you decided to fly in
on Thursday early and my goalwas to come in.
I had to do the podcast onThursday night and we actually
(18:14):
podcasted from John's.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
It was you, we
podcasted from John's and you
podcasted from us.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Yeah, I had to.
Who else is going to be in thestudio setting all this stuff up
so we can podcast?
Speaker 3 (18:27):
We got that live
podcast in with you, me, whiskey
Doc and John set out at histable outside just right after
we finished, a fantastic grilledfilet and salad and baked
potato that John had preparedfor us on the grill.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Right, we were kind
of running late because of that.
Well, that podcast went offpretty good, and then you got.
So, once I finished that up,put it out, got it all up,
packed all my stuff and Ibasically got about.
I went to bed about 11 and wokeup at 3, got on the road by
(19:03):
3.30, and was having breakfastwith you at the hotel by 8.30 in
the morning.
By 8.30 in the morning, yousure was.
And so we had breakfast and weheaded over to John's house, and
the main reason we were therewas because of we were mainly
(19:24):
there for the Cubs game.
So, yeah, and and so you rentedthis mammoth expedition a fan,
and so we all easily fit, as uhjohn called it the fortosaurus.
Yeah that thing is huge.
So while we're so we go overthere and we pick everybody up
and we drive to Wrigley.
(19:45):
And on our drive to Wrigley wehad to pass.
I counted through the thing.
I think we passed 13 liquorstores between where we were on
and where we got off, and it was, there was I mean John can talk
about a little bit, he couldthrow them out there the
(20:07):
different ones there's Malloy's,there was Binney's, there was I
mean, there was grocery storeones, there was Jewel and there
was multiple Binney's and youknow there was.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Binney's, I believe,
like a Woodman's, and I mean
just, oh my gosh, it was justcrazy, crazy, crazy.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
So so the thing about
Chicago is is that, unlike in
Ohio, when Ohio has drops, it'spretty much across the whole
state, consistently similarthings Like if Russell's 13 is
dropping, it's dropping acrossthe whole state at different
liquor stores.
It'll drop with Russell's youknow reserve barrel picks and it
(20:54):
will drop with some other youknow wild turkey 101.
But if you're, if Buffalo Traceis dropping, it's the Weller's.
You know different Weller willbe dropping.
So it's across the state.
But in Chicago it is not thesame at every liquor store.
You had Weller and you had, youknow, weller 12 dropping at the
(21:21):
Woodmans, dropping at theWoodmans, and you had, you know,
the A Bowman barrel pickdropping at Malloy's.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
So it's like yeah, so
we're talking about lots and
lots of Actually it says smallbatch, but it was actually a
single barrel Barrel pick yeah, barrel pick at Malloy's that we
were able to obtain.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
So over the
consistency of the ability to
acquire the whiskey was onething.
So there's no way.
So I come into town.
We went through there.
We get to Wrigleyville, we gosee a great Cubs game.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Hold on one second
because I want to say like at
the first place major place thatI stopped at, like John's
Liquor Store, they had justacquired they had 12 cases of
the EH Taylor small batch.
They just had got them Thursdayevening, and I mean Wednesday
evening, and had started puttingthem out Thursday morning and I
(22:23):
mean had the cases just stackedup.
Not only that, but they hadevery one of.
They had the 2025-01 and the2025-02 bookers and they had the
2025, the newest addition tothe little book at that liquor
store, right, and I was just sooverwhelmed when I was walking
(22:46):
in that store and I just had gotthere I was like, oh my gosh,
I'm just now beginning, but Iknow I needed to wait and Prices
on this was like $60 for thesmall batch, which that's you
know what.
About $15 higher?
What's it up to at thedistillery now $54.99?
(23:11):
.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
You mean?
No, it's more than that, it'slike $60.
I want to say $64.99 at thedistillery.
It's over $50 at the distillery.
It's over 50 at the distillery.
Yeah, so in ohio, that's whatit's at, is like 54.99 and it's
an it's even more at thedistillery, it's like.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
So I mean these,
these places like I say, uh,
some some of the stuff, like Iat a couple of the stores, like
I say some of what you wouldcall allocated might be just a
little bit more, but nowherenear secondary prices or
anything like that, like down inSouth Carolina where it goes
(23:55):
three and four times as much.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
So one of the.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
John said it's it's
35.
I'm thinking it's 30.
I was thinking that now it's atthe distillery it's like 39.9.
What, what, what?
Which one for the uh vh taylorsmall batch?
I was thinking it was 39.99 atthe distillery yeah, at the
distillery no.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Yeah, no, it was $52,
like two years ago.
Yeah, that is not a no, taylor.
You're thinking Eagle Rare.
Eagle Rare is lower at thedistillery, but Taylor is
definitely into the 60s at thedistillery.
I'm telling you 100%.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
I just purchased it
when I was there the last time
john john just mentioned, likenash, couldn't pay any more
baggage fees for all the bottleshe wanted to buy and bring home
with.
And john, you are absolutelyright, I had my bag after that
last bottle that I got.
Uh, right there from y'all thatmorning, uh, I actually, when I
(25:06):
checked my bag and it waspre-checked, so I already got
the tag and put it on there.
Well, I put it up on the scalesand all that.
The girl ripped the tag backoff of it and re-tagged it and
put that big red sticker onthere that says heavy.
But she did not charge me anymore baggage fees for it.
But it, when I got it in southcarolina from baggage claim, it
(25:29):
had that other sticker on there, the big red sticker that says
heavy on it.
So yeah, I was.
I had it loaded down withbottles.
Yes, you did, you did, and noneof them had them wrapped,
perfect and everything, nonebusted or decorked or anything
like that.
So I was a happy guy.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Yeah, but what it
came down to was I just want to
say somebody on YouTube, it'slike Thomas Anderson, I want to
say hi to him.
It's like, uh, thomas anderson,I want to say hi to him and
then also booze in this the, Ican smell the whatever.
It's just like.
It's like unbelievable, likethe one guy saying, oh, you're
(26:11):
not bruisey and nobody watchesyou, nobody was wants to be
bruisey, bruisey's bruisey.
Uh, we're just talking about.
We got to, went, went toChicago and we had a fun time
bourbon hunting and once in awhile we cover bourbon hunting
on this podcast.
We're not we're, you know wedon't.
We do more whiskey thievingthan we do bourbon hunting
(26:34):
podcasts.
So you know it's.
It's like with 70 and that'sone thing I want to say we just
went over 75,000 subscribers onYouTube and that is something in
its own outright thing.
I remember when we were tryingSuperNash, when you did the old
Carter giveaway, we were tryingto get to 400.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
I remember that yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
I think we went from
yeah, we had it, and if
everybody did stuff and there'sthe, so that was kind of
exciting right there to hit75,000.
Just keep everybody who watchesus of our 75,000 followers.
Thank you for watching.
So Oscar Rodriguez is havinghis 39th birthday tomorrow, so
(27:21):
that's kind of cool.
Happy birthday to him.
Happy birthday, oscar.
We got one that's held forreview scotch boys.
It's so funny.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
It's like and I want
to say cheers to uh.
Ricky edwards is watching anduh also stacy stacy and uh james
jacobs yep, there's a lot ofpeople here tonight.
Uh appreciate everybodywatching and also Stacy Stacy
and James Jacobs.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Yep, there's a lot of
people here tonight, appreciate
everybody watching and but justgetting to, you know.
So we're at the Cubs game, wego home and we had to get home
after the Cubs game becauseJohn's brother had something to
that night.
So we drove home in rush hour.
(28:01):
Friday rush hour traffic gothome and me and you went back to
the hotel and we were just kindof what would you say, getting
ready, freshening up, as theladies would say.
But we were freshening up andall of a sudden we get a call
from Randy John or Randy, whichone who called you, talking
(28:26):
about that there was a drop atWoodman's and we needed to get
over there.
Right, it was John and it was.
There was a bunch of stuff thatgot dropped and Randy Ford was
like thinking that he would goback and maybe, if that OFC was
still there, that he would OldFire Copper, that he would
(28:49):
revisit that, right.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
But it had already
been sold, yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
But we're sitting in
there and there is Weller 12
being released at what?
Six o'clock that night, andthere was cases of Weller 12.
I mean, and that was the onethat you said I believe that's
what we paid thirty nine, ninetynine for.
I want to know if it was it.
(29:17):
Was it?
Was forty forty four, ninety, nine, yeah, forty four.
It was it was it was.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
It was 40, 44, 99.
Yeah, 44.
It was.
It was 50, $50 and uh, $49 and78 cents.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
It was under 50.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
So what dollars out
the door?
Right this Weller 12, righthere.
Speaker 1 (29:36):
I've got that too,
and that was really kind of a
steal for what it is.
It's a little bit moreexpensive here and definitely a
little bit more expensive.
He said 44 each.
With tax, it was 50 out thedoor.
As John said, he had 17 cases.
So that's what you're talkingabout.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
It's 44.99 and then
plus tax is $50.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
In the state of Ohio
when they're distributing Weller
12, they might, on a big, hugelaunch day, one place might have
six cases, which is 36.
So we think that's a lot, butthat guy had 17 cases, so do
them 17 times six.
I got to do this 60 and 742.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
So that's 102 bottles
at one store.
Yeah, that's what I was saying.
It's like the lady told me theygot those 12 cases of the small
batch.
That's six bottles a case, youknow?
Yeah, that's 72 bottles ofsmall batch.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Right, so you're
talking a much bigger percentage
at the store.
Now I will also tell you onthat drop the line wasn't
nothing like the lines in Ohio.
When Ohio has it, everybody'slining up and there's 50 people
deep at 9 o'clock.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
John said it was 12
per case.
Those boxes were 12 per case.
Those boxes were 12 per case.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
There you go 12 per
case.
Okay, yeah, that's just like.
It's just crazy how much that, how much of it they had, and we
were able to get it.
And then, once we were there, there was people tasting.
(31:24):
They were doing a tasting.
I think it was cedar, what wasit?
Cedar ridge, cedar ridge, yep,and uh, we, we met the rep and
talked to her and then also, yeah, that was so that night
(31:44):
when we went to a Cubs game andwe were just going to hang out,
you know, that night we ended upwith a bottle of Weller 12 at a
place and then went and lookedat all the other bottles and
there was some other stuff thatwas decent.
I mean I think there was oneper person, so you couldn't get
multiple bottles.
And there was some other stuffthat was decent.
I mean, I think they there wasone per person, so you couldn't
get multiple bottles and keepgoing, you could just pick one
(32:04):
and that you were done.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
You went outside,
took your hat off, did a shirt
change and came back in yeah, but that wasn't.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
You know that wasn't
happening since we distributed
our card and we did all thisstuff and did tastings, whatever
.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
That just wasn't
gonna happen because I mean,
once the scotchy bourbon boysget in the house, everybody we,
we let everybody know who we are.
And so, yeah, there wasn't nodisguise and change in that.
What was there?
Speaker 1 (32:33):
so.
So they had their release whilewe're at the Cubs game and we
still got the Weller 12 around 6pm.
So there you go.
That's something that'scompletely different.
That's why we wanted to saythis is different than bourbon
hunting.
I'm sure in South Carolina it'sdifferent than in different
(32:54):
places.
I mean, you've been to so manylines in Georgia at the places
where they have raffles andlotteries and stuff like that,
but this is so different to meand so strange.
Now, what I want to say is John, what he's been doing is
bourbon hunting.
So he kept coming on ourpodcast and he still comes on.
(33:17):
He's right here right now and,uh, he'll, we'll have him on.
But john was obtaining.
He would go and tell us what hewas getting and we're like,
well, could you get you that?
Could you get me this?
Could you give me this?
The only thing that I had askedfor that john didn't get me was
an eagle Rare 12.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
And I guess that he
tried his M's but we got to
taste the Eagle Rare 12 that hehad, and he sent me home with a
sample of it also, so that waskind of cool.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
So now he got me.
Here's what he got me.
Here's what he got me.
So one thing that I don't seehere in Ohio is the Jim Beam
Winter Reserve.
It's just crazy, and this isjust a $24 bottle.
So he picked that up for me andthis one right here.
(34:15):
This next one was the one thatI really, really wanted, and
this one was the Star Hill Farm, locally grown farm, to showcase
the influence of our landnature as the makers.
This is an American wheatwhiskey from Maker's Mark.
(34:36):
So that was something that Ididn't see here.
We haven't seen this in ohio atall, and ohio distributes a lot
of makers mark, wouldn't yousay, ash?
Speaker 3 (34:49):
hey, let me.
Let me throw this out there.
John said that, uh, not only atthat did they have the, the 200
, and uh, let's see 204 bottlesof Weller 12.
They had Weller 4-Proof, the1792 Cognac release and the
Buffalo Trace Tater Saladbottles, and I mean plus.
(35:13):
There was a few more things onthe board that he hadn't
mentioned either.
I can't quite remember, butthey had a whole lot.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Yeah, but that 17 was
a huge drop.
No, when we got there there wasno 1792 cognac, it was it was
already been sold out and markedoff the board but it's like
well, or 12 is a consolation atsix o'clock.
I mean, this is that shoot.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
That's a heck of a
prize.
I consider myself lucky, right, right, me too.
I like the Weller 12, andespecially at 50 bucks.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
So and then the other
bottle that he was able to get
me was this old Fitzgerald, seven year bottled in bond,
which you know that's fantastic,I mean, out of all the things
that you know.
It's not like this.
This was released while I wasout of town in Ohio and he was
(36:10):
able to get that for me.
So that's really kind of youknow, the really really cool
stuff that you know as we wentalong, so he's able to do
something that we can't do herein Ohio.
It's not like the drops happenhere in Ohio.
They happen and you go to thestore and if you don't get it,
(36:34):
you're pretty much done for atime, and if you do get it, it
you're not getting two.
Now I guess the only way to getto is bring your wife or your
girlfriend or your or your ofage somebody in your family.
That's a way to get to, likehere in ohio, but he was able to
(36:54):
go back and get it and complete.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Just to clarify uh,
when I said buffalo trace, eh
taylor, I mean, uh, tater saladbottles.
Uh, that's just a number, another name for the eh taylor
small batch.
Speaker 1 (37:08):
They had those right
and they still had those when we
were there.
But we me and you and everybodywe we have a lot of small batch
.
But the coup de grace is AaronHarris is going to be on on the
August 12th next Tuesday and Iwas able to obtain the 200.
(37:30):
Through John, we were able toobtain the 250th.
Now.
He picked that bottle up for me.
This bottle is not selling inOhio.
Okay, so there's nothing Icould do, but I saw this.
He picked that bottle up for me.
This bottle is not selling inOhio.
Okay, so there's nothing Icould do, but I saw this bottle
for sale as we were hunting, youknow, and I saw.
So this is like readilyavailable.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
And that's crazy,
because that's not an easy
bottle to obtain, especiallyhere in Ohio to obtain,
especially here in Ohio and inSouth Carolina, because, like in
South Carolina, I was able toget one here about four or five
weeks ago, but it was the lastbottle that they had down at a
store in Greenwood when I gotthrough doing a couple of big
(38:13):
jobs down there.
That didn't stop in the placeand it was the last one they had
.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
This will be the
second bottle that we have the
distiller on honoring our 250thbirthday of our military.
So excited about that, excitedto get that bottle.
Thank you so much, john, forpicking these bottles up for me,
but then I've already openedmine, and it is delicious too.
So and talk, talk about it anddrink some more of it.
(38:39):
So we finished up the evening.
Um, ted came.
We met a?
Uh, randy ford met uh great guy, uh, I don't, I don't know.
I know him as ted.
He came over, drank whiskey andbourbon by the fire with us.
(39:00):
Ted Ferguson, there you go,thank you.
Speaker 3 (39:03):
And it was great.
The reason I know the name wellis because I met and talked
with him very well and I'vealready been conversing with him
, because he is a Navy veteranand he is now a pilot for the
American Airlines.
And he is now a pilot for theAmerican Airlines and, oh my
(39:25):
gosh, he has shared a wealth ofveterans' knowledge to me to
help me get all my veterans'benefits started.
But not only that, but hebrought over an Eagle Rare
17-year that was opened up andjust set it up on the table
along with other goodies andbottles to share with us.
And super nice guy, great guyit's great that we have another.
(39:50):
Randy, you met him in ourwhiskey dock, met him in line at
either Benny's or Woodman's,I'm not sure One of the two
places.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
We're sitting there.
We've already got a cub thingunder our belt.
We go to Weller 12.
We're all sitting.
We sat around the fireplace Now, this is my first day there.
I ran out of gas about 11o'clock and we went back.
We got he's still in thereserves, that's what and he met
(40:23):
him in line at the Binney's,binney's right.
And so the next morning we wakeup, we're milling around.
We both were pretty tight.
It was a tiring day with theCubs running there then actually
going in line.
Oh, we did have Lou Maranato'spizza, which is fantastic.
(40:46):
We got that thrown in therethat night and then basically,
once you had pizza and I'mrelaxing out by the fire, you
could have put a fork in me atabout 1030.
So we got back to the hotel, got a good night's sleep, woke
up the next morning and so weknew what we wanted to do.
So we said to her this timewe're like we had one thing that
(41:13):
we had to do and that was havedinner with Martin Duffy was
have dinner with Martin Duffy, and Martin Duffy was going.
We were going to meet him atGreen Post Restaurant at 5
o'clock.
So in the morning I startedfiguring out how we were going
to do this and we called up Johnand Randy right and we said Let
(41:40):
me stop you before you get toofar away from this.
Speaker 3 (41:43):
But this is another
good thing about going out and
like bourbon hunting and youknow, around Chicago and like
these drops and all that, andwhen you're standing in line
like in a Benny's or a Woodman'sand stuff like that, you're
constantly meeting people and, like it always does, bourbon and
(42:05):
whiskey bring good peopletogether.
And Ted Whiskey Doc met Ted inline in a Benny's and, like I
say, he talked to him enough andinvited him over to John's
house and he came over twonights in a row and and sat
around with us and and just hungout with us and we drank good
(42:26):
whiskey and and and just uh hada good time with it with, uh, a
new friendship through bourbonand whiskey and bourbon hunting,
(42:47):
right.
Speaker 1 (42:47):
So we're, we call
them up and we're like we're
going to be over at 11 again, same time, and we're going to go
.
We.
I was talking to Martin Duffy.
He's told me about Binnie's.
He told me about we were goingto go to Caval.
He told us about anotherdistillery and he was just
(43:07):
telling us all about where to go.
So we went to the Binnie'sstore because it's the largest,
third largest liquor store inthe country.
He told us the name of themanager.
Shout out to you know, if Johnor Randy remembers the manager's
name, that would be amazing.
(43:29):
But we basically got to thestore and one of the cool things
about it was the smallerbinnies that you had been to
over by John's house.
Okay, yeah.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
I remember his last
name was Soto.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
It wasn't John Soto,
no, that's an actual.
That's somebody, okay, bob.
No, bob S was at.
That's who we talked to.
Bob was at Green Post.
That was Bob, okay, and he sayshe can't remember.
But you're right, it was Soto.
And anyways, he told us who totalk.
(44:15):
You know you texted that to me.
No, it's not a bar hater.
My favorite drink is rum.
Okay, so cool, he likes rum, I,we like rum, especially rum
finished in.
Uh, yeah, you, you actuallytexted me that name, but, um, so
(44:37):
we're.
So we talked to the manager andthe one yeah, bob was bob was
the one you texted me and that Iremember bob from green post
because he served us some damngood uh, whiskey that night.
Yeah, scotch and bourbon, uh,so once you find that name.
But what he told us?
(44:58):
We met both the managers and hewas very hospitable, but he
told us about their tasting barin the back and it was like you
got to walk through the terminalto get there and it technically
was.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
It was just like this
place was huge and one of the
things that there's a there wasa cigar store that was nearby,
so their humidor was limited andSuperdash had— it wasn't that
limited, it was to the pointbecause they had been broken
into during the riots and allthree different times, and so
(45:35):
they smashed open the big oneand so now they built another
one that was in the wall.
So now they only keep a limitedamount and they they switch
them out.
As to the types that they carry, and that's because, like you
said, he said, there's a hugecigar emporium just right down
(45:55):
the street, a couple of blocksover.
Speaker 1 (45:58):
Yeah, and he was also
.
So the place that was out byJohn had a walk-in humidor with
a lot of cigars.
It was great, and that'sbecause they were servicing the
community there, because therewasn't a big, huge, giant cigar
place.
So it was really cool to evensee in this part of the industry
(46:19):
how people cooperate with eachother amongst the people in
their neighborhood.
So that was cool to see.
But so we were there and theyhad everything, and so this is
what I'm talking about thebourbon hunting aspect.
This, right here, is what Ipicked up, and this is called
the Beautiful and the Damned.
This is the last Zion, the lastlion, and it is cast strength
(46:42):
Six and a half years, batch two.
This is something that we onlysee from time to time.
We never see this in Ohio.
This is a thing, and so this isthe kind of stuff when you're
someplace else and that wasright on the shelf Was able to
pick that up, which I wasexcited about.
Plus, we've got Dan Garrisoncoming on.
One of these days we're goingto reschedule and yes, as John
(47:09):
says, there were ladies samplingbottles.
We'll get into that, and I wasable to pick up this Garrison
Brothers so that I've got theGuadalupe and now I've got the
Honeydew bottle.
Soto, what?
David Soto, david Soto.
There you go.
The manager told us about thetasting bar, so there was so
(47:32):
much more there.
There was a Rare Perfection 15that I almost pulled.
If we were there with more timeI probably would have pulled
the trigger on that RarePerfection 15 at $200, because I
do believe at the festival lastyear I paid $300.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
If I brought a bigger
suitcase, I would have filled
another suitcase Right.
I was able to check two bags, but I only brought one big one
and had one carry on.
Speaker 1 (48:03):
So, when you think
about it, both of us have so
much whiskey but we both go homewith this collection.
We both bring in and we'relimited.
Speaker 3 (48:13):
but we're in Chicago
and it was because I had so many
more bottles, but I didn't setthem all up here because it was.
You know, you have some of thesame other stuff and and then
plus, like I say, whiskey Docbrought me a few up and and all
that that I had brought back.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
So, yeah, we
definitely everything was the
coolest.
I mean it was great Now.
Then we finish up.
There was the coolest.
I mean it was great Now, thenwe finish up there.
No, we go to the bar and, courtesy of Super Nash being
Super Nash, he really did becomeSuper Nash.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
Let me break out the
bottles.
There are at least two of them.
What we had was these twobottles right here.
Okay, so before the guys gotdown there, I made it.
I made it down there because Ijust come out of the cigar
(49:10):
humidor and I thought thatalready went back.
So so I get down to the bar andI get to looking and uh, david
had already told me that theyhad flights of pappy and and all
this other different stuff.
So I get to looking and it'slike they had a flight of the
old rip van winkle 10 year, theuh van winkle special reserve 12
(49:33):
year, and then the third onewas a van van winkle's family
reserve 13 year rye, which I donot have a bottle of.
And that was the third one.
So I bought all four of us aflight of those, those bottles
there, yeah, but if you go there, the price of the flight was 50
(49:55):
bucks.
Speaker 1 (49:56):
You can't drink that
much Pappy for 50 bucks anywhere
.
I mean that was the, and it was20, 24 bottles Fantastic.
Speaker 3 (50:09):
And I already made
friends with Mitch and he fixed
those flights up.
We all got two ounce pours ofeach one of those, so I don't
know if you noticed y'allnoticed that, so that was cool.
I cannot beat that for thatprice.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
I am trying to get
this.
I cannot move.
I cannot.
Let's see.
Let's see if I can share, though I'm going to try and
share the screen I can.
I'm going to go back to photosI'm going to share, but I will
tell I'm going to share herebecause now I'm back over.
Photos I'm going to share, butI will tell I'm going to share
here because now I'm back overhere I am going to share.
(50:54):
Let's see.
I double click on that.
How do I get it littler?
There it is.
I'm going to share.
Here it is.
Oh nope, I don't want to sharethat.
This is what I want to share.
A here it is.
Oh nope, I don't want to sharethat.
This is what I want to share.
There we go there.
There is a picture of theflight at the bar right.
(51:15):
Can you all see that?
Are you gone, nash?
no, I'm here okay, i'm'm tryingto get people on you.
There it is someone.
Come on, go over there.
(51:39):
We go everybody on YouTube.
You can see it now too.
There's the share of that.
All right, um, I'm gonna stopsharing, and that was kind of
cool.
Yeah, all right, now let's seeif I can get back.
Nope, that doesn't work.
Let's see, I wonder, let's.
Speaker 3 (52:01):
That is funny where
you went to it and got it before
.
Speaker 1 (52:04):
I don't remember how
I did it, but you know I think
it was over here and I did this.
That's there.
There's like a secondary.
That is so funny.
(52:24):
I don't need to you monitor thecomments and I'll just keep
this going.
We're not going to do thatwhole dumb thing again.
Anyways, so we got to afterwardswe went to Caval the, the
distillery, because we knew wehad time.
We hopped in, we did the tourand we met Jack at the tour
(52:47):
Right, I got that right, and hetold us all about Caval and we
got to taste their stuff.
It was very unique.
They have millet bourbon andthey've got, you know, different
types of whiskeys and thatthing's kind of got going and
they've been in there since 2008.
And then we sat at the bar andgot to taste their wheat whiskey
(53:09):
, which was fantastic.
So we all walked out with thewheat whiskey.
But we also walked out with thesample box, a little sample box
.
You got your sample box there, super Nash or no, it's back in
the box, that's okay.
So we are going to do a Cavalum podcast in a box and we're
going to let everybody in thatknow about that cavall when that
(53:30):
happens.
And so we ended up walking outwith the little sample pack of
three, 200 milliliters of theirrye, their bourbon and you know,
and their, um, I believe, asingle barrel in there.
And and then we had the wheatwhiskey, which was fantastic.
And then we headed off todinner with Martin Duffy and
(53:56):
that was at the Green Postrestaurant.
Bob the manager was there.
He set us up with all sorts ofdifferent.
We were drinking scotchprobably the most scotch I had
in an evening.
Uh, different scotches in my inin my lifetime, wouldn't you
say super nash.
The different scotches that wehad for dinner, oh, my gosh, the
(54:25):
most I've ever had.
Speaker 3 (54:26):
But they were some
old scotches and uh uh that they
had acquired and he was justgoing down and pulling from
their vault.
It was amazing.
Every one that I tasted was wasjust fantastic yeah and it was,
uh, it was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (54:46):
I, you know, I have
to say, um, I don't know how it
you know what happened or whatit did or how you know.
It was just like they had a.
They had a, a pick, a pick.
Right, it was a pick that theyhad of their own scotch they had
(55:07):
several picks, yeah right anduh, they are fantastic.
None were too peaty, everythingwas pretty, you know, was
really good and um picked andwell balanced.
Yeah, they were fantastic yeah,so had a great, great time there
(55:27):
with Martin Duffy, learned alot, talked about what we were
doing, and then we talked about.
We actually went over to thelittle market after dinner and
there again just this littlemarket and their bourbon
selection was pretty good, wasit not?
Speaker 3 (55:48):
Yes, that was right
next door.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
And their scotch
selection was good, because
everything that was suggested tous from scotch.
I think John picked up a bottle, if I'm not mistaken.
Speaker 3 (56:02):
I think he did.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
And you know it was
excellent.
Speaker 3 (56:09):
That was Bob, that
was at.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
Yeah, we know, I said
that initially.
Bob was the guy, the managerthere, that was doing all the
suggesting that we were talkingto.
Speaker 3 (56:21):
And he was doing all
that running back and forth down
there with a broke ankle.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
Yeah, that was really
nice of him.
The food was fantastic at GreenPost.
The selection of whiskeys werefantastic.
Speaker 3 (56:35):
Oh, John was talking
about.
Remember the Lebanese whiskey.
That was the one that WhiskeyDoc, I think, picked up a bottle
of Right the Lebanese whiskey,Right, right the whiskey duck, I
think, picked up a bottle of11-inch whiskey.
Speaker 1 (56:48):
Right right, so you
know, overall it was just a
fantastic evening, but then andthe food was fantastic too.
Speaker 3 (57:01):
Yes, the food was,
and that was all hanging out
with Martin Duffy, yeah.
Speaker 1 (57:06):
Yeah, yes.
Then we went to the thing andwe said goodbye to Martin and we
headed off to Delilah's, whichwas really kind of cool.
Let's try this again.
We'll just do this.
I will see if I can do thisagain.
There we go, share, all right,I think we're sharing, are we
(57:34):
not?
Nope, I don't think I did share.
Pick this photo, oh, just havephotos, okay, and then come over
here and hit share.
There we go, all right.
So we'll get out of this and Iwill show you some pictures of
(57:56):
us at delilah's.
And right there we are.
Uh, that was kind of cool, right, would you not say?
That's all of us over there.
I'll try and put this up, forI'll get it over there.
(58:16):
I don't understand how it's notgoing over there.
It's just supposed to go overto the other one.
It's like you can see it overthere and then it stops oh, this
is just the weirdest thing ever.
Oh, there we go, I got it overthere, all right, so you can see
us there at Delilah's, and thenyou can also.
Here is the outside of the bar.
(58:37):
There's a really nice picture,right, I believe here, that's it
.
It's pretty much black on theinside and black on the outside
right.
Speaker 3 (58:48):
Yeah, it's a little
dark in there.
Speaker 1 (58:50):
They've got a Maker's
Mark sign in the window.
I believe I have a picture ofhow many it's right here.
Nope, that wasn't it.
That was their.
Let's just keep going.
There it is Maker's Mark.
Yeah, here it is there.
It is Maker's Mark 19,497.
(59:11):
But we had a pour of oh my gosh, come on All right, and we did
do a video right here, I thinkit was.
Speaker 3 (59:25):
Do you know?
Speaker 1 (59:26):
what we, how to pour
up.
We had a pour of George T Stagg2017.
Let's see if I can get this togo.
Can you see that, nash?
Speaker 4 (59:43):
Here we are again at
the island.
We're down on Lincoln Avenue inChicago, we are having a blast.
There we go, all right.
Speaker 3 (01:00:10):
It's actually a 2018.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
2018.
All right, we're going to stopsharing.
Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
It was a very good
year, very good year for George
Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
All right, that went
back over there?
I wonder All right that wentback over there?
I wonder you tried?
I don't understand, I'm trying.
Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
Walker said it sounds
like his kind of place.
Hey, believe me, trust me,walker, you would have loved it
it was great, so we finishedagain.
Speaker 1 (01:00:43):
We finished up at
Delilah's, probably not too late
, probably about 9.30.
Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
John said they had a
Bible of whiskey bottles.
Yeah, it kind of was.
Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Yeah, we finished up
about what would you say 9.30.
We were home probably by about10, 15, back to John's, about 10
, 15, back to John's, and thenwe finished up the evening all
the way till about 5 to 2.
Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
In the morning you
had to drag me out of that place
.
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
And I drove you home,
got you home safe and we that
was the.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
That was only fitting
, because the whole time I
escorted y'all and chauffeuredy'all.
Oh yes, I wasn't complainingand didn't have but just a
couple of beers at the game andjust a couple little pours,
sample pours, know when we wereout?
(01:01:45):
Uh, and about riding around, right, I had to watch my limit
so.
So when we got back that nightit was time for me to finally
cut loose a little bit and enjoyon the last night right, and
that was pretty much the the funof the whole evening.
Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
There was no doubt,
so let's find her.
All right, maybe I can do this.
I'm gonna try.
One thought oh, that's what Idid.
I found it.
I found it, yeah there it.
Speaker 3 (01:02:25):
You found the
comments again.
Speaker 1 (01:02:27):
Yes, I found out what
to do, all right, so there we
go.
The next day you headed offearly in the morning, we said
our goodbyes, and then it waspretty awesome.
And we said our goodbyes andthen there we go Is that it.
Speaker 3 (01:02:51):
I spent the whole day
almost in airports and flying.
I had a three-hour layover inDetroit, michigan, oh my gosh,
and weather, delays and stufflike that, because it was
heavily raining across, Ibelieve, maybe all the way from
Kentucky down, all the way downinto Greenville.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Well, I went back
over.
I had, you know, john and Randy.
Randy was getting ready toleave.
I stopped back over therebecause I wanted.
I all of a sudden saw that Ihad john's t-shirt.
He wanted a scotchy bourbonboys t-shirt, so I made sure
that I dropped off that scotchybourbon boys t-shirt and then
(01:03:38):
said goodbye to randy.
Randy tried to give me morebottles, but I had enough
bottles in.
I also brought home uh, mattlysen's bottles, so I have all
your stuff here, matt, if you're, if you're watching uh, I know
that you're on earlier, so Iwill be able to get you.
I believe john and randy hadbottles for you, so that was
(01:04:00):
kind of cool.
And uh was very exciting, youknow type of thing.
So you know, loved the chicagotrip but the the you know type
of thing.
So you know, loved the Chicagotrip, but the hunting, you know.
And then also, john had thesespecial holders, glencairn
holders, made for us of each ofus, I believe Super Nash Tiny
(01:04:26):
John can say actually Randy hada picture of them all.
And so I think Walker had onemade up.
He had one made up for Walker.
He had one made up.
I'm going to say yep, superNash Tiny gonna say, yep, super
nash, uh tiny, uh, maybe johncan, I don't, he had him, he had
(01:04:51):
a guy and so that was reallykind of cool.
But also on the last eveningbefore we left I want to say
this is that the john did anawesome thing, uh, when we were
tasting the Pappy tasting, hebasically I thought the old Rip
(01:05:14):
10 was fantastic, and even thatparticular one was so he had
Walker Whiskey, doc Tiny andSuper Nash made up and there's a
picture of them all.
But I thought the Old Rip 10was better than that year's
(01:05:35):
version of the Van Winkle 12.
The Old Rip 12 had a caramellyand had a bite to it that the
Van Winkle didn't.
Van Winkle had a little bit,had less, little less caramel
and a little less bite.
So that was kind of cool.
So that night John opened uphis Van, his Old Rip 10.
(01:05:56):
And that was fantastic and wethank him.
So we had so many good pourswhen we were there.
I mean we had, I mean it justwas endless.
You know, russell's Reserve 15.
I know it was a CYPB, cypb.
There was Russell's Reserve 15year.
Speaker 3 (01:06:14):
Yeah, eagle Rare, 17
year.
Speaker 1 (01:06:16):
The Eagle Rare 12.
Speaker 3 (01:06:19):
I mean Eagle Rare, 12
year was out there.
Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
I brought the AW
Bowman cast strength, AJ Bowman
cast strength and I also.
I brought the aw bowman caststrength, aj bowman cast
strength and I also I broughtthe um old stubborn along, you
know the old stubborn barrel.
So we were that, we were justhaving a absolute blast in
chicago.
Uh, that I just the.
The bourbon hunting is sodifferent.
(01:06:43):
I would say that I got adifferent respect for Chicago by
the amount of bourbon that wason the shelf.
I mean, I could have boughtanother 15 more bottles that I
don't have.
I just, you just can't spend.
You know I have enough readynow for podcasts for months.
Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
Here's another one,
that John the Jefferson's
Presidential 16-year.
Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
I did not have a
taste of that one.
Speaker 3 (01:07:13):
Oh, that was so good.
Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
All right.
Windy City Barrel Company iswhere the barrel stays, barrel
stays come from.
Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
is what Walker thinks
.
Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
Yeah, I think you
guys shared that presidential on
the Thursday night.
Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
Yeah, Randy had that.
Yes, Thanks so much.
Whiskey Doc.
Speaker 1 (01:07:39):
And so there you go.
I mean fantastic time betweenthe Cubs Binney's John's house.
I mean fantastic time betweenthe Cubs Binney's John's house.
I mean Woodman's.
I mean we were everywhere, wehad a blast.
There was no, it just went offwithout a hitch.
I mean the Friday was perfect,Then the Saturday was perfect.
(01:08:01):
Now I have to admit, gettinghome there was a little bit more
road construction than I wouldhave liked.
Usually I try and get home in 645 and I ended up getting home
in eight and a half, so a littlebit longer.
Based off that, but that's theonly thing.
If that's the only thing, thatis, that you have to go slow for
a little bit, that's not a badweekend.
I mean, I was, honestly, when Iwent back to work on monday, I
(01:08:25):
was, I wasn.
It wasn't the normal comebackfrom doing all this stuff and
having it and it's just like alot of fun.
So anything else to add there?
Super Nash, or are you?
We're ready to.
Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
I think we pretty
much covered it and we covered
Chicago in those three days sowell.
I so fantastic time.
And once again, great, big, huge shout out to John.
John read our host for theweekend.
I mean manicuring his lawn likehe did, rebuilt his deck for us
(01:09:00):
and then, like I say, superhost the whole time.
Couldn't thank you enough, myfriend.
Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
Yes, thank you, John,
for hosting this.
I can't even.
Randy says it took him 20 hoursto get back.
I can't even say how much thatwe all bonded this weekend, and
that's one thing you know,bourbon.
Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
I want to thank
Whiskey Doc too.
Like I say, you contributed awhole bunch and did a whole lot
too while we're up there, andthanks so much again, brother.
Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
All right, now I have
to do the opposite.
Oh, there it is.
Is that it Wow?
Speaker 3 (01:09:40):
No, sounds like a
great idea there, john.
He says let's do it again nextyear.
Uh, maybe around the same time.
Same time, same channel, samebad place oh my gosh, edit.
Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
No, is that so crazy?
So now I have to find out.
Oh, I can do, let's see whathappens.
Did you lose it again?
No, I didn't lose it again.
I'm going to have to share toget back to the other one, so
I'm going to share something.
One last thing let's share onemore photo and that'll take that
(01:10:19):
.
See, that photo takes me backon the share.
So there we were as a group, wedid that.
Oh's, here's us at the.
You can see that right there, nash, I'm sharing, right, yeah,
yeah, all right, let's see if Ican get it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:36):
I just thought the
action must have been taking
that picture, because he's notin it.
Who, john?
Oh yeah, yeah, he was sittingon the chair, remember yeah,
yeah, he was sitting on thechair around and that's why I
(01:10:57):
took the picture.
Speaker 1 (01:10:57):
