For many kids in recent decades, summer means more time for playing video games. But even some adults still find joy in gaming. On this episode, Joey is joined by Adam Erickson, Jack Hoey, and Eric Mays to discuss the hobby they never grew out of.
The four men share that while they don’t have the luxury of summers off anymore, they still gladly take advantage of extra time to play video games. They walk through the "memory lane” of games from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s before sharing that some modern video game stories can move them to tears. We’ll also learn how they personally integrate this hobby into their adult life and whether or not they have to work hard to avoid video game addiction.
Topics addressed today: video games, video game history, video game beauty, video game as an adult hobby, and video game potential perils.
Next week's episode 9: summer safety in general, safety at the beach and being safe with your skin (w/ a firefighter, professional lifeguard and dermatologist.
