(00:49):
also write back to me and tellme how you feel.
If you haven't had the chanceyet to reach out to me, please
do so.
I love hearing from you and, atthe end of the day, that is the
purpose of this podcast.
Like I want to help myselfimprove, and I also want to help
other people grow, so do nothesitate to reach out at any of
my social media handles or eventhrough my website.

(01:10):
I want to hear from you.
Well, my dear passengers, thetime has come for you to buckle
up your seatbelts as we diveright into our first stop of the
day.
That is the topic of the day,and today's topic is manifesting
.
And today's topic ismanifesting.
Manifesting is defined bypsychology today as the idea
that, through the power ofbelief, we can effectively think

(01:31):
our goals into becoming areality.
Well, I know what you'rethinking, frances.
Are you talking about magic?
Are you talking about wishing?
Are you talking about prayer?
What are you talking about?
Well, my dear passengers, I amtalking about positive thinking
that has a purpose and, depending on what you believe in
or what your belief system is,you might call it something else

(01:53):
.
But for the purpose of thispodcast episode today, we're
going to be talking aboutmanifesting.
For today's episode, I will notbe using any research.
I will be simply using mypersonal experiences and my
opinion when it comes tomanifesting.
Why?
Because I realized thatmanifesting it is a personal
experience, and I want you guysto get the inside of somebody

(02:16):
that has been manifesting forthe majority of her life and how
it actually works for me.
And I want to leave it up toyou to see if it's something
that you want to try yourself,to see if it's something that
you want to try yourself, or ifit's something that you want to
recommend to your friends andfamily.
The first step is knowing whatyou want, and I know that I say
this on literally every singleepisode.
But if you don't know what youwant, how are you going to know

(02:36):
what you're trying to get?
Once you know what you want, you're able to visualize better.
And when I say visualize, Iknow that the first thing that
comes to mind is probably goingto be a vision board.
And don't get me wrong, visionboards really, really help.
But when I say visualize, Imean I want you to imagine and
think about that thing that youreally desire and have it become

(02:56):
a constant image in your head.
I'm talking about when you prayabout it.
I want it to come up when youdream.
I want it to come up whenyou're thinking about it.
I want it to be something thatyou can easily reach back into
your brain and be like oh yeah, this is the thing that I'm
working for.
And if you do create a visionboard, I want it to be big and

(03:19):
place it in a place where you goconstantly to, so that way you
know what you're focusing on andit also helps you see it
outside of yourself so you canstart believing that it will
come true.
The second step is to refocusyour mindset.
When I'm talking about mindset,I'm talking about how you
perceive the world around you,right?

(03:39):
So, depending on your beliefsystem you might believe in God,
or you might believe in theuniverse, or you might believe
in science, or you might believe.
Whatever you believe in youneed to refocus that mindset and
make sure that it is positiveand that you are asking that
that you believe in for help.

(03:59):
And when I say help, it doesn'tmean that they're going to
grant it to you automaticallyyou still have to put the work
in but it means that you areredirecting and realigning that
with what you believe in, sothat way, everybody can be on
the same page.
Step number three pay selectiveattention.
Now, this is a very, very, very, very important step, and I

(04:22):
think that this is where a lotof us kind of tumble and fumble,
and it's because we're so usedto wanting to pay attention to
everything and again bringing itback to YOLO and FOMO.
I totally understand, because Ido the same thing, but when you
pay selective attention, itmeans that you're purposely
putting your attention on thethings that matter to you, right

(04:43):
?
So, for example, for me, thispodcast is a priority and what
I've learned to do is that Ineed to make sure that I am
paying attention and I'm takingtime to work on the podcast and
not just leave it for the end, minus the last episode that I
did.
But so far, what that hasallowed me to do is to ensure

(05:08):
that I am paying attention tothe thing that matters to me, am
paying attention to the thingthat matters to me, right?
Because if I don't payattention to the things that
matter to me or the things thatI am striving for, then nothing
is going to happen.
It's kind of like saying, man, Iwish I had a better job.
And then people kept sending mejob descriptions and job offers

(05:30):
and I was like, nah, I wantsomething better, but I didn't
read the descriptions and Ididn't even give it a chance, I
didn't even go to an interview,I didn't do the research to see,
hey, what is this job about?
That's what I mean.
Sometimes we're so focused onthe things that we don't want

(05:52):
that we don't realize theopportunities that we're missing
.
But if we pay selectiveattention, if we were to say
again with the example of thejob, if we were to say, huh,
this is a new job, I've neverheard about this, let me read
some of it.
And then you read about it andyou're like, huh, this is
something that I could seemyself doing.
All of a sudden, you're seeingan opportunity in a place that

(06:15):
you never thought you would, andthat is why paying selective,
selective attention is superessential when it comes to
manifesting.
Step number four be mindful ofwhere your energy is leading you
.
I'm going to repeat this Bemindful of where your energy is
leading you.
Now, if we go back to thebeginning of the episode, I

(06:38):
talked a lot about positivethinking, but I forgot to say
positive energy.
Positive energy is super, superimportant when it comes to
manifesting and also to living afuller life.
You want to make sure thatwhatever you're feeling whether
it be sadness, anger and any ofthe other negative energies do

(07:01):
not consume your overall aura, slash energy, slash mentality,
whatever you want to call it.
Why?
Because once you give in tothose thoughts, it is going to
determine where you are puttingyour energy, your time and your
focus in.
So that is why I want you to bevery careful as to where your

(07:24):
energy is leading you.
Keep in mind, yes, it's true, wecan't always be happy-go-lucky
and I'm not claiming that it'sgoing to be easy, because, trust
me, it is not but you do needto be mindful of how your energy
is and you also need to have abackup plan when that energy is
not positive, because you wantto make sure that, yes, feel

(07:48):
those negative emotions, feelthat negative energy, but don't
let it consume you, don't let ithold you back, don't let it put
you in a place where you cannotget out of it.
And in the case that you don'tknow how to get out of it,
that's where you go back torefocusing your mindset.
Go back to that thing that youbelieve in, whether it be God,
the universe, science, whateveryou believe in and ask for help.

(08:11):
Be like, hey God in my case, Ibelieve in God, right, so I
would literally phone God andjust be like, hey God, your girl
is struggling, she needs yourhelp, please.
I'm doing the work, I'm puttingin the energy, but you know
what my energy?
Not the best right now.
Can you help me clear it?

(08:31):
Can you put somebody in my paththat will Help me see things
differently?
Or can you send me a video?
Can you send me some kind ofsign that I'm heading the right
way?
Or can you tell me that I'm notdoing the right thing?
Because, either way, I want toknow what I'm doing.
You know and this pointactually brings us to the fifth

(08:53):
and last step, which is you haveto put in the work.
One of the biggestmisconceptions with manifesting
is that things are just going tomagically happen, and that is
not true.
Whether it be through prayer, whether it be through wishing,
whether it be through justpositive thinking, you still
need to put in the work.
It isn't going to magicallyhappen Like you.

(09:16):
Getting an A in that test isnot like you're going to wake up
one day and have that knowledge.
No, you need to put in thosehours of studying in order to
get it and you getting in thatnew job.
That means you have to do thejob search.
That means you have to put inthe work on working on your
interview skills.
It needs to be that you'reworking on how you present

(09:36):
yourself.
You want a romanticrelationship?
Okay, it means that you need toput yourself out there.
You need to go to coffee shops.
You need to go to bookstores, you need to go to places where
people are available and thatmight be able to talk to you and
potentially create a connectionwith you.
But for you to simply sit downand expect things to just

(09:59):
magically come your way and justcome at the snap of a finger
wow, how crazy is that.
No, no, no, no.
You have to put in the work andyou have to be consistent with
that work and you have to bediligent with that work and,
last but not least, you have tobe responsible with that work,

(10:22):
because if you work on it todayand don't work on it tomorrow,
or you kind of send my work onit today and tomorrow or you're
like you know what, I'm going tolet so-and-so work on it for me
, you're not going to get it.
You're not.
And that is the biggest lessonwith manifesting is that it is
what you put out.
There is what you're going toreceive.

(10:44):
So if you're not puttinganything, my dear passenger,
you're not going to get anything.
Well, my dear passengers, thetime has come for the last stop
of the day, that is, recap time.
Today's episode discussmanifesting, which is the idea
that, through the power ofbelief, we can effectively think

(11:05):
a goal into becoming a reality.
Now we know that manifesting isabout knowing what you want and
visualizing it, so that way,you can refocus your mindset and
start paying selectiveattention to the things that
actually matter to you.
It also means that you arepaying attention to where you're
putting your energy, becauseyou cannot let your energy
become too negative or it mightoverwhelm you and it might

(11:28):
overtake over your wholeaspirations and lead you through
a different path that you don'twant to go to.
Last but not least, it alsomeans that you need to put the
work in because, unlike manypeople think, manifesting is not
magical.
It's simply putting in the workand getting gains from it.
So remember, whatever you putin is exactly what you're going

(11:50):
to get out of it.
Remember, self-growth is anendless journey towards
self-improvement.
However, you don't ever have todo it alone.
