Welcome!
To the Self Storage Investing podcast. I'm your host Scott Meyers.
As we continue sharing the knowledge and skills from leading investors, developers and operators to help you launch and grow your own successful self-storage business this 2021.

Tune in each week for a new episode on topics in the self-storage world with guests from each sector of the self-storage investing industry. This week my guest is here to discuss with us the current state of SBA lending for the new year and during this current pandemic.

There is a lot that is unknown in this economic climate. Many are being led by fear and panic, and it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel- especially in the world of business, where owners are being faced with tough decisions. Instead of letting it consume you, the team here at Self Storage along with a good friend of mine Terry Campbell from Live Oak Bank, a household name in the storage industry, are here to lead and support you thorough knowledge and education.

About today's guest: Terry Campbell- EVP – Small Business Banking

Terry Campbell is the head of Live Oak’s small business lending team providing capital to the agriculture, funeral home and cemetery, self-storage and service contractor industries.

Terry previously held various roles with a leading self-storage supplier. Starting as a drafter/estimator, he advanced to vice president of sales and marketing and executive vice president of operations. He is a partner in several self-storage facilities across several states. He served as a managing member and part owner of a large self-storage facility in Northern Virginia in the early 2000’s.

Terry has also served on the Editorial Advisory Board for the ISS Magazine and the board of the North Carolina Self-Storage Association since its formation. He has been involved in many seminars and webinars offering education to the self-storage industry and is a frequent presenter at industry events and trade shows as well as a writer for industry publications.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
