In 2022, Sheila faced a significant turning point when she encountered severe burnout, prompting her to make crucial decisions for her well-being and professional growth. Her journey of self-discovery and resilience led her to "fire herself" from one company and embark on an 8-month hiatus from the other. Through this experience, Sheila gained valuable insights into the factors contributing to burnout and the importance of prioritizing mental health.
As the Co-Founder of CareerVolt, Sheila is dedicated to accelerating career success for scientific researchers through coaching, consulting, and skills workshops. Additionally, her role as the Founder of Fresh Eyes Editing underscores her commitment to enhancing communication within the scientific community worldwide.
With a PhD in genetics and certification as an executive coach, Sheila brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the conversation.
