(00:01):
Hello and welcome to the side Woo.
This is your host, Tebow, helping you navigate the wild
and mysterious path that is the creative life.
Join me as I ask our guests about the tools they use to help
them survive in the creative wilderness.
Hey tarot people, this is Tebow.Welcome back to Transguy Tarot.

(00:25):
I'm here to do a reading this week.
It is a full moon in Taurus and you can't see and I maybe won't
show but I'm currently barefoot like grinding my feet into some
crunchy leaves. So I feel like that's the vibe
this week. Taurus is very much about the

(00:45):
body and the physical world so. But also it's Scorpio season,
which I am a Scorpio with lots of Scorpio in my chart.
So if you're feeling a certain type of way this week, that's
also probably why. All right, so I'm going to read

(01:06):
for the full moon specifically, but before I do, I want to just
do a shout out to Lisa Crawley, who runs personal space in
Alameda, CA for those of the BayArea.
You already know how amazing sheis.
She has been going through a lotjuggling personal stuff and was

(01:27):
going to host a fundraiser but because of the personal stuff
like can't do it. But she still needs your help.
So I'm going to include the linkto her gallery in the show
notes. And if you want to donate you
can do that in any shape or form.
Feel free to check out their programming.

(01:48):
They do such great work. There's not like a lot of stuff
going on in Alameda and she's really created like a hub for
readings and shows and music andthey have a shop that features
local artists. So you know, she's always
contributing so much to the community, but this is just like
a new way that she's been doing it.
I think they've been around for about 3 years, so not

(02:09):
technically new. So that's my shout out.
The day that you're seeing this is probably going to be voting
day. So please, you know, do what you
can to vote. I know that if you're in a new
place like I am, voter registration isn't always the
easiest thing to navigate. So, you know, just do what you

(02:30):
can. Show up for your local
elections. They're important, if not more
than the presidential, although no, they're not more important
than the presidential. But yeah, you get it.
OK, so full moon in Taurus, Scorpio vibes.
What do we got? Oh, OK, right.

(02:54):
So I pulled one card for the full moon and one part card that
was like kind of the counter energy of what we're going to be
dealing with. So it makes sense that these are
very, these totally make sense to me.
So we got literal full moon rising here with the four bolts.
I am, of course, using the Grateful Dead Tarot because it's

(03:17):
my favorite right now, and the skulls feel very relevant to
Scorpio season. But yeah, we've got these two
skulls kind of facing each other.
There's this looming moon and then these pyramids which show
up a bunch in this deck as kind of like a destination that the
characters on the cards are going to.

(03:39):
And usually 4 bolts or 4 wands is talking about community
family. It could be or just your chosen
family, your chosen community, finding a home base, something
about home. And in this case the the moon is
coming up sending out its vibes. So there may be some like

(04:04):
anxiety and energy that's kind of charged around community
around your home, which also Taurus is very like home centric
thinking about Venus rolling Taurus.
So it may be that there's conversations around home,
whether it's like with your partner or with your roommate or

(04:28):
with your family member about going home for the holidays or
trying to find a new home or interviewing for a job where
there's community involved and maybe there's a relocation
involved. But it's really kind of thinking
about like, what is home to you? What is community to you?

(04:49):
How do you want to show up? What's your role?
How do you create structure for yourself so that you can be in
negotiation and conversation instead of thinking like, how
can I be completely, 100% available all the time?
Which makes home feel like a prison.
But I don't know about you, but yeah.

(05:11):
So, you know, I think the fact that there's two skulls and not
just like a bunch of stuff showsme that it's also about
boundaries and negotiating, likeperspective and position and
space. But overall good vibes.
You know, you got all these flowers and stuff, but yeah, it
feels like that's the vibe. And it's going to be a big one

(05:35):
because it's super moon, so it is going to be literally huge in
the sky. All right.
So in contrast is almost the exact opposite, which is five of
bears, which in this deck is super cute.
It's cute little bears napping by a tree as the full moon in
Taurus rises. But in other decks, this is a

(06:00):
card where people are kind of like walking in the snow outside
of a church, and they're like wounded.
And you can tell they're kind oflike tattered and torn, and they
feel outside of. So, you know, just as you're
trying to navigate your way in, you're also maybe feeling like
you're not in. So either you're in or you're

(06:21):
out. That's the maybe kind of rigid
thinking of both Scorpio and Taurus.
They are both fixed signs, so and Taurus is very stubborn.
There may be some like black andwhite thinking around this where
you're not just either outside or inside, like you can be

(06:45):
negotiating your way in and out of communities, seeing where you
can be of service 'cause that's ultimately like how you get to
be connected to others is like not just to be like a energy
vampire. You want to contribute to your
community and give back. So I would say, you know, just

(07:07):
pull a card because these do feel like pretty polar opposite.
So like, how are we going to navigate that?
All right, well with the Saint, so no martyring yourself, but
the Saint is the same as a Hierophant in other decks.
But I would say there's a lot more water in this one.

(07:27):
They're on the beach, got the 2 little minions at his feet and
the Saints feet kind of like splashing around with some
flowers too, which you know, this still has the religious
iconography, iconography of other decks.
But I would say there's like more room for emotion.

(07:48):
You know, it could be like therapy, but it could be that
you're also embodying this like leadership figure and that's how
you navigate your way in. You know, like it's lonely at
the top kind of vibes of like, if you are going to be part of a
community, but you have something to say, have something
to offer. It might be that you need to

(08:08):
like keep your cards close to your vest and it might get a
little lonely. You know, I'm pointing to the
five of bears, but that's where you're a St.
'cause you have to deal with allthese tough emotions while also
still trying to act in integrityand do what you can for your
community and people in need. So that's all.

(08:29):
Just make yourself into a St. No big deal.
Yeah. So not a hugely easy ask, but
nobody said it was going to be easy.
Yeah. I am excited to be working on a
new project. It is a collection of essays for
my first year of our date. If you followed along, that's

(08:51):
the sub stack that I was writingfrom 2023 to 2024.
I have since moved that to Medium.
All the links will be in the show notes, but the book project
will be a collection of those essays from that year as well as
some unpublished essays that never made it out.
I don't know why, but the collection's called One Messy

(09:14):
Year and I am going to share thebook cover in the next post that
I do on my Medium blog. And possibly depending on the
timeline in the near future, a pre-order link in case you're
like just chomping at the bit tosupport all the work that I'm

(09:34):
doing. But otherwise, yeah, you can
check out Medium, YouTube, Spotify, Apple.
I may be removing Spotify just because it is Spotify and
they're putting on ice ads. You know how I feel about that.
But for now that they're the podcast and everything is all

(09:55):
available on all the the sites. So thank you so much for
listening. I hope this goes well for you
this month and I'll see you nextweek.
