14. Love Others and Yourself – Simple Bible Study {BONUS}

This is just a short little conversation that we had a few weeks back when we were having our study time. Then, David was like we need to record this so write down what we talked about! And, we are finally recording this!   What a concept. Jesus spoke these statements to people back in his time, and these were radical commandments: love God & love others. But, here you will hear us speaking more about the second commandment of loving others as yourself.   We Christians, especially within the church, feel like we have to always be serving IN the church in order to love others. But, then we burn ourselves out and we forget the WHY we are serving... It's all BECAUSE of God's love in us. What about ourselves? Are we supposed to put ourselves, spouse, and family in the back-burner for the sake of obeying the commandment of "loving others"? No, we love others as we love OURSELVES.
