Dr. Catherine Toomer is a Family Medicine & Community Health physician - founder and CEO of Health Wellness and Weight Loss Centers - a virtual coaching platform for optimizing health and wellness through weight loss, and maximizing weight loss through targeted health and wellness measures.
Dr. Toomer created what became her 1:1 health, wellness, and weight loss program twenty years ago when she was obese, an insulin dependent diabetic, and diagnosed with congestive heart failure, but was told she was too high risk when seeking help to lose weight and control her diabetes. Using the program she developed, she lost 60 pounds in 6 months, got off insulin, and survived her CHF when told she had a 50% chance of living 5 years. She has now converted her program to a new online group coaching course - Total Wellness + Weight Loss.
Dr. Toomer lives in South Carolina with her husband, 2 labradoodles, and an empty nest.
