He's the Beaveman, a sarcastic, angry, Army veteran who is full of guarded optimism and a love of comedy. His counterpart, the Swan, is the Padmé to his Darth Vader, the Evil-Lyn to his Skeletor, and unfortunately someone who wouldn't know great comedy if it bit her on her lovely backside. Together they use the podcast as their own form of stress relief along with squad members Jumanji, Nemo (comedian Mike Cotayo), and the Trailer Park Monster/Dark Lord of Brown-Town JD Hutchins, as well as a rotating cast of friends of the show. When they unite they are, "The Slaptail Squad," a force of humor and idiocy in a world gone completely nuts. Join them, become a part of the great Slaptail Nation, and embrace the collective craziness.
The first week of May is a special time of year. It is the time of year that the Beaveman consumes even more Star Wars than he typically does. On this episode Beaveman and the Swan talk about Star Wars, and yes, there are things the Beaveman doesn't remember and doesn't know. He doesn't take a scientific or statistical approach to the lore of Star Wars, he consumes it because he loves it. So there will ...
On this episode, the Beaveman is subjected to dealing with two scatter-brained broads who talk over him the entire episode and insist on making mouth noises. Yup, it's the Swan and the Claw Queen (that broad from the east side).
Ever wonder what to do if you come upon a wounded or not wounded animal? If they are wounded, call Kate to patch them up. If they are not wounded, call Kate to hobble them and then patch ...
Beaveman and Ricker do the podcast without anyone else joining them. Some of the squad members were concerned for Ricker, but he survived. The Beaveman presented Ricker with descriptions of some of his dreams to get his opinion on what they may mean. They also talk about the movie Peanut Butter Falcon and when Ricker missed his opportunity to be Rambo.
Believe it or not, the Beaveman reveals how he protects his feelings to perform his job effectively and not get too emotional. We learn that Ricker thinks all rectangles are squares, metaphorically, and the Swan is all about giving the Beaveman away if it makes her life easier and someone else's harder.
Check out the fun shows and movies they talk about.

He's looking to purchase some gently used thongs ladies, and he'll pay extra if you take them off in front of him. The Beaveman? No, comedian Ron Caine. Well, that's the intro Beaveman gave him anyway. On this episode, the squad unites for a completely ridiculous conversation about catching your parents in the act, restaurants that smell, (not unpleasantly) like pussy, comedy, and the Beaveman's pl...
On this episode of the Slaptail Squad, Swan and Beaveman talk to Kate DoorXYZ about their recent trip to San Diego and all the fun that comes with airline travel. San Diego is an amazing town with a hopping comedy scene so Beaveman talks a bit about getting to go on a few mics to get some reps in. The conversation, as always, devolves into a completely pointless podcast discussion about food, amphibians, and whatever ...
When you thought we couldn't get any more ridiculous, we prove we can! In this episode, we welcome back Chewbacca's nephew, Nolan Johncock. Do you think you have a ton of random knowledge? Maybe you do, but is it at Nolan's level? Can you talk about conspiracy, the Hubble telescope, shark skin, and horse penis all in one conversation? If so, you will enjoy this episode. If not, strap in and let the madn...
On this episode, the Squad unites to talk about the paranormal. There is a certain doll that resides in Key West, Florida that has the utmost respect of the squad. However, a certain someone, thinks she can take a bit of a casual attitude regarding the known powers of this masterful doll. Thankfully, Beaveman, JD, and Ricker are no fools and spend the podcast humbling themselves. They also talk about, you guessed it, ...
The Slaptail Squad podcast welcomes comedian Kate Dore, from Michigan, for a fun conversation about women in comedy. The Beaveman and Swan talk with Kate about her fiancé, her addiction to claw machines, and the Beaveman's hatred for Russia and Putin (but not the good people of Russia). The show also features silly little jokes from the Beaveman and Swan's manic minute. We support Ukraine, Canada, Mexico, th...
The Squad unites to say a collective FU to Putin and Russia but also to talk about the state of the nation when ignorance and misinformation reigns supreme. Do we really want to step back in time to the age of measles wards, polio, and widespread bubonic and pulmonic plague? I think not. Podcasting is the last avenue of free speech, so the squad will continue using it as long as possible. Thank you to our loyal listen...
The squad is still confused about the difference between shared psychotic disorders and being bat-sh!t crazy. Nemo swims in to save the day and clear up the confusion. He failed immediately by stating the term Folie à Deux is made up. That's what happens when you try to learn something—still a fun conversation. Guess the squad needs to lean on a friend of the squad to clear it up for them. You know who you are, w...
Beaveman, JD, and Ricker discuss subjects they are 100% qualified to discuss. Not really, that would be so unlike all of our other podcasts. Shared delusional disorders, aka Folie à Deux or other types of Folie depending on the type and number, are delusional disorders that start with one person and are shared by others. They discuss some cases briefly to determine WTF! Keep in mind that these three are, basically, id...
It's been nearly 5 long years but the Ricker is back! One of the original members of The Slaptail Squad is finally back from the longest hiatus and we could not be more thrilled. We are very proud of his accomplishments and humanitarian efforts all over the planet earth and in the cosmos that kept him away, but now he is back and ready to embrace the collective idiocy.
Would you want to know when you are going to...
It is a wonderful day in the Beaver Den. The Beaveman finally has sleepwear that does not squeeze his waist or cause him to drop residual urine on his bedsheets. He really wanted to talk more about it but got sidetracked by a ridiculous discussion with Swan about travel, Nemo about comedy, and of course, sex toys.
Congrats to Mike Cotayo for getting selected by the WSOC to compete in Las Vegas. Hopefully more satellit...
Beaveman and Swan hang with a friend of the show Jogun to talk about all things nerdy—no fact-checking needed. We never need fact-checking again. All things, ridiculous, nerdy, historical, and revisionist, don't matter, it is all factual. Join us for a fun talk about all things nerdy. Basically, things Swan doesn't understand, because you know, she is not a nerd. Strap in for a wonderful four years of making...
Swan, Nemo, and Beaveman unite as a squad to talk about the giant poop show, goat rodeo, FUBAR world we are living in, and how it is affecting the human condition. Sounds deep doesn't it? Too bad Swan and Nemo are easily distracted by anything and everything. There are some serious moments, but remember, none of this is real. We are all living in some screwed-up version of the Matrix. So even if we are on a watch...
The fun continues this week as comedian Emmy Buttrick joins the Beaveman and Swan for a fun conversation about redheads, comedy, succubi, and pinup modeling; with a redheaded, pinup modeling, succubitus standup comedian. That makes her an expert. [succubitus is the trait of being a succubus, (it's a word Beaveman made up)]
Catch this fun chat with this rising comedy star. Emmy, not the Beaveman, just to clari...
Beaveman and the Swan welcome Chicago Comedian Jen Flaxman to the Beaver Den for an entertaining conversation. Jen is the producer and host of better help comedy Chicago and a talented stand-up comedian who demonstrates a strong tolerance for putting up with Beaveman's sense of humor and psychopathy. In this episode we talk about comedy, comedic influences, cryptids and whatever other odd subject manifests from ...
The Swan and the Beaveman welcome comedian Adam Minnick remotely to the Beaver Den to talk comedy, bad habits, drones, and whatever other crazy stuff the Beaveman can come up with.
To challenge the Swan, Beaveman gives her a swear jar and a handful of quarters because, as we all know, the Swan curses up a storm like the true RN she is. Will she make it through with her handful of quarters, or will she run out?
The squad unites for a fun Christmas Eve conversation with comedian Red the Blackout Artist.
How do comedians get their stage names if they don't use the one on their birth certificate? Join us for a completely pointless conversation about comedy, dating, and sharp farts—another episode steeped in culture.
Funny Man Mike Cotayo, aka Nemo, and JD Hutchins, the Dark Lord of Browntown, are along for the id...
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
