Speaker 1 (00:01):
No anchors up the sails at full suitcass.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
May journal, Are you.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
The tradition? Can you come you come down yet? No?
No me either. Yeah, crap, it's this is this.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Is just letting that all absorb in, letting that all
all absorbent, you know, and just yeah, just just let
it all soak in for the next three hundred and
sixty odd days. So listen it.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
This might be too, this might be am, but it's
not a therapist today. And he's like, how is your week?
A goat High State one? It's not even a joke,
h It's not even that's that I mean, it's I mean,
it's it's humorous, but it's also true.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
You know that you know them the good old Woody
Hayes quote of like nothing cleanses your soul like getting
the hell kicked out of you. No, nothing cleanses the
soul like kicking the hell out of Michigan.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Okay, but here's the thing. And and don't get me wrong,
I am not Hugh because oh some of you might
not be old enough to remember this, but Kyle and
I are, honestly. God used to hear people say, oh, well,
I kind of wish Michigan would win every once in
a while for the sake of the rivalry. Hell now,
for the record, hell no, always, hell no, always team

(02:20):
hell no on that. Never once did I ever say,
think or consider that, But I swear to you people
used to say it. That's how dominant Ohio State was.
Hell No, I remember the nineties exactly exactly. Anyone who
said that didn't live through the Cooper years. That's just reality.

(02:41):
Anyone who said that didn't live through the coopiers.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Didn't Tom Brady say something about like, oh, this isn't
even a rivalry anymore, or something along the lines of that.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
I don't care what Tom Brady has to say about anything.
Shut up and through the football.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
All right, we got one more week of Michigan.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Seems so bad that they wasted Tom Brady. They did
literally the greatest quarterback of all time, and he was
average at best at Michigan. That's all I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
All right, Clegia, chaos chair, Let's let's get right into it.
We've got one more week of conference championships games to
go over. But first, before we get into our picks,
let's go to our tier list.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yes, let's do that.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
All right, Austate big win over their rival stays an
S tire Indiana Maybe not a big win, but they
beat their rival, they say an S here.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Listen, it was a big win because it was one
as you said, over the arrival. Uh but two?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
When is it?

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Has has Indiana ever completed a full regular season undefeated before?
Has that ever happened? No?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Nope, So that's a big win even if it last
year they won ten They won ten games, I think
it was. That was the first time last year. So yeah,
Texas A.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
And M not so lucky.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Yeah, they lost to lost to Texas there. Yeah, it
was all that talks about Texas and M. I'm like, oh,
they should be the number one. They should be the
number one team. Like look who they beaten? Like they
look they look unstoppable.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Mhmm.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Maybe maybe maybe you should have kept her mouth ship
for one more week there, right, Dared?

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Perhaps because I mean devastating loss for them. They won't
even play in the SEC title game.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
They will.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
There was a three or four way tie at the
top of the SEC with one loss, Texas A and
M not winning those tie breakers.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Out of stier.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Honestly, I think it's they're still gonna make the Yeah,
there's going to be in a yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
No.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
I was just thinking of a particular team worth putting
into S tire just because of they've looked better recently,
but there's still so many question marks compared to House
State in Indiana, where like they don't really have any
question marks. Great offensive lines, great defensive lines, defensive units.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Off is.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Very efficient. Georgia, I was thinking of Georgia. Does should
Georgia be an S Tier?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Their offense is highly questionable, Their pass rush is highly questionable. Sure,
but mostly their offense. Their offense is a lot better
now than it was like September October. It has gotten better.
Does that mean it's good? It is not sure?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
All right, all right, we can keep them in A tiers.
So the lone ones are the two big ten teams
in S Tier.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
I mean they're literally one and two in the AP
one and two in the College Football Playoff by the
College Football Playoff Committee. This would make me more of
a homer. But if you want my real, honest opinion,
I don't think anyone belongs in S Tier except Ohio State,
But maybe that's even more homersh If anything, were over
and also they're the only two undefeated teams left like

(06:24):
they are. Yeah, homers are allowed to be right.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
All right, this is true.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
This is a very good point, Duncan.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
A tier.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Maybe I'm a homer, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
All right. In a tier we have Oregon, Georgia, Alabama, Ole, Miss, Oklahoma,
Notre Dame, Texas Tech, Virginia, Tulane, and Texas A and M. Now,
who's an A tier? Is there anybody that we should
move up or down? Up?

Speaker 1 (06:49):
No, everyone's staying in. No, S tier's done. I'm good
with S tier.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
A tier.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Do you think whoever loses the SEC title game still
makes the playof and you're allowed to answer that? In
a team specifically, this.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Is this is tough. Let's say, let's say worst case scenario.
I think if Alabama, if Georgia loses, George is in
No matter what I think, Georgia inn if they win
or lose, George is in the playoffs. Okay, I think it.
I think the question is going to come down to
is that Alabama they have a three loss team.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
M hm to.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Mm hmm. Sure. And then if worst case for Alabama
fans would be if Alabama loses b YU beat Texas Tech,
so that ensures b YU and Texas Tech goes in.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
I would I agree with that. I think that is
what happens. I don't think Texas Tech unless BYU absolutely
blows out Texas Tech, which I don't think will happen.
I don't even want to get into that. Let's just
say BYU wins three points over Texas Tech. I I
weirdly think they both get in. I think Texas Tech

(08:08):
is the only team not from the SEC or Big
ten I'm willing to say that about Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Think anyone any of the other conferences.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Yeah, I think Notre Dame is in. They come in
at tenth in the last rankings here. They're right on
that cusp, that ten eleven where he's like, are there
going to be two teams that two conference champions outside
that cut that comes in? But the good thing about
Notre Dame here is that you have a Big ten champion,

(08:40):
SEC champion and a Big twelve champion that's going to
be ahead of you. And then you got like, is
it going to be the ACC champ or the SUN
or the American Slash Sun Belt team.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Okay, hold on, I think in too think we're going
in too deep. My pass is all miss in.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
I mean the the committee, the committee thinks they're they
That's That's what I'm asking. Yeah, Yeah, Ole miss is in. Yes,
Oklahoma is in. Yes, Notre Dame is in. I think
this is a better way to do it. Yes, Oklahoma
is in, Notre Dame is in. Texas Tech is in.
No matter what happens, Texas A and m un they're

(09:32):
they're in there. They're fourth, their fourth in the in
the last rankings.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I just I'm having a really hard time seeing the
committee putting two big twelve teams in. That's really the
only reason I'm even being If you're on Texas Tech,
that's it.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
It's hard. I have a hard time, though, Jared, if
Texas Tech loses, this isn't fourth. I have been the
way down to twelfth.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I have been advocating for Texas Tech since early September.
I I have been on the Texas Tech bandwagon for
a long time. I agree with you. I'm saying I
don't know if the committee will put two big twelve
teams in.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
I don't see the committee dropping Texas Tech. I get
b YU wins Texas Tech all the way down. So
I think Texas Tech is a shirt sure in as well.
Texas A and MS sure is a sure in as well,
if they will just let's just put Texas A and M.
Just go ahead, put Texas A and M in there

(10:33):
as well. To the to the left there. So with
those teams, I'll say Indiana, Oregon, Georgia, Ole, Miss, Oklahoma,
Notre Dame, Texas Tech, and Texas A and M two four, six,
eight nine teams. That leaves That leaves four teams.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Left, which which in that case you have two more
conference champions. So those are solidified. We don't necessarily know
who they're solidified with zoom then it's going to be
Virginia and Tulane.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
I think right now I would put those in right
now in our weeks, in this week's in this week's picks. Yes,
So that leaves one team left. So it's a mix
of I think it's two teams right now. Is it
Alabama or is it BYU?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
It's Alabama if Texas Tech wins. Also, it's Alabama if
Alabama wins. I mean it literally is Alabama if Alabama wins. Correct,
the SEC champion that would be a disease. So what
if Alabama wins, and what if? What if?

Speaker 3 (11:45):
What?

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (11:47):
What if Alabama wins and they're solidified? What if b
y U wins and then they're solidified one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven,
it gives us thirteen? Who's out in this scenario.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Looking at looking at this, looking at this here. So
Georgia wouldn't really drop much, I don't think so Alabama
they would. They would skyrocket Alabama to top four to
top four then.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Probably maybe, but that it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter where.
I mean it does for seeding, but for the sake
of just who's in and who's out, it doesn't matter
because they're conference champions.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
So that puts the next team out either Oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Notre Dame is Notre Dame were Oklahoma, but I think
those are the two.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
But how could you? How could you? Yeah? How could you?
How could you? Currently? Right now, Oklahoma is ranked two
spots ahead of Notre Dame eight to ten.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
I don't I don't care where they're How.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Could how could you? How? How could you? When both
teams do not play? Could you?

Speaker 1 (12:57):
Then?

Speaker 2 (12:58):
If out of Alabama wins and say, oh, Notre Dame
all of a sudden is ranked higher than Oklahoma. What
did they do different What did the two teams do differently?
If you flip flop them all of a sudden, that
that is going to be.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
I think the committee is in hot water if they
do that.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Uh huh so I think if if that happens, I
think is out. Yeah. But here here's here's here's a
here's the next, here's the next. Yeah by Alabama for
for this week, b y U is.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
The ultimate spoiler. The b YU is team chaos, maybe
maybe more than any other team except perhaps Duke Duke.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
How about Duke Duke is a big spoiler maker? If
on one hand, on one hand, if Duke wins, if
Duke winns, Virginia's out, Virginia's out, Duke wouldn't uh, Duke
would not go in hold on, Duke would not go
following If to late, if Tulane Tulane wins and James honestly,

(14:10):
if Tulane or North Texas wins, it doesn't matter which
one it is sure, and James Madison wins, You're going
to get a sun Belt champion in there as well.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
It will Listen, I don't think so. I don't think so.
First off, neither Duke nor Jmu are are currently ranked
by the committee, are they? I didn't see that. What
are the latest committee rankings?

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Lane is twentieth. I don't think Jane's twentieth. North Texas
is twenty fourth and Jmu is twenty fifth.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Okay, uh huh uh huh.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Now you see where I'm going.

Speaker 1 (14:47):
Listen, I alright, I know he was just saying this
where I was like, I don't purce, I don't foresee
the the playoff committee blah blah blah blah blah, you know,
putting two big twelve teams in. Okay, maybe maybe I
see that. Maybe I don't see that. I do not see.

(15:09):
I do not see, And I'm not saying it's the
wrong choice. To be clear, I'm not saying I think
it's the wrong choice. I don't think that the playoff
Committee has the cojones to leave the acc out.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Man. Now, do I want to see? Yes?

Speaker 1 (15:29):
I do. I want to see this. This is the
ultimate in team chaos.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
If we are looking at the rankings here currently and
then there there's like points from like the AP and
the coaches pull here. Duke does not have a single point.
No one voted for Duke at all.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
They're a five hundred football team.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
They're seven to five. Yeah, just above five hundred, just
above five hundred. There's actually I think because tou Lane
in North Texas play each other, if Duke wins Plane
or North Texas will get in over Duke the ACC champion, then.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Well, I mean we literally we had that last year
where a where the American team it was the American team, right,
American conference champion was actually actually got the fourth spot
last last year.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Last year was different because they did it the auto
they had Yeah, well no, last year they had the
four power conferences got an automatic bid. That's all period,
that's all. This year, this year it's the top it's
the top four, top five, top four ranked. Oh yeah,

(16:52):
top sorry, top five ranked conference champion.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
So that's what it was last year too.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
And no last year, no, last year it last year
it was big ten, sec A c C, big twelve,
no matter where the ranked it was. That's not true. True,
that's how it was last year, Dared.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
I'm almost certain that is not the case. In fact,
as they google this real quick, uh boise, it was
Mountain West, not American. Boise got the bye week.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
Because Boise. Yeah, Boise was.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
The highest, fourth highest ranked conference champion. That's why they
were the fourth highest ranked conference champion.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
I could have sworn I saw that a C that
the A C C also had the highest also was
in two.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
There is no because this this this falls into like
anti trust stuff that the NC double A and while
the College Football Playoff dealt with a few years ago.
That that's the whole reason. Remember when they added in
the BCS that a group of then four, four or

(18:14):
five had to get a New Year's Day six bowl.
It's the same thing here where they just said and
they changed it because the PAC twelve fell fell apart.
Initially it was supposed to be the top six conference champions,
but then they changed it to the top five. But
it's basically the Power Conference is plus one. And last

(18:36):
year they got the bye week. This year there's no
guaranteed bye week for a conference champion.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
All right, all right, I was wrong that I thought.
I thought, all right years those conferences we were in
no matter where they were roped, and then the next
next highest one was it's it's just the people.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
People just assume it's the power four plus one, but
that's not sure technically written into the rule books last
year or this year.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Sure, Okay, all right, so let's let's finish this here.
So let's take Duke out, let's take jam you out,
and I think this is our our final rankings. So
in A tier Oregon, Georgia, Omis, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Texas Tech,
Texas A and M Tulane in Alabama and A tier
and then out Ohio State in Indiana and S tier.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
You said Virginia. Use I didn't have Virginia.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
I did, Yeah, yep, I.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
Was panically trying to find Virginia really quickly.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
So honestly, I think we can eliminate a bunch of
teams in B tier because it's going to be very
very small. So pretty much all the teams you have
on the right there, Arizona State, Pit Team, up, North Texas, Navy, Utah,
sm U on seed tier, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, and Miami

(19:56):
on the seed tier. In my opinion, du.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Do you think there's an any possibility we get one
of these three teams?

Speaker 2 (20:02):
And no, because the only team that plays has a
shot to get in. There's no way that a team
that's ranked higher than then Miami, then I'm looking at
the wrong year. There we go a team that, yeah,
Miami or Texas is all going to be able to

(20:23):
jump Alabama.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
What if Alabama gets completely run off the field. What
if Alabama doesn't just lose to Georgia but loses spectacularly
to Georgia. Are they still in? What if they lose
fifty nine nothing Wisconsin style?

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Okay, so let's say Alabama loses. That puts Miami up there,
But no, you still have you still have two conference
champions that still need to get.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
In, right, But no, Look you have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven,
with Alabama as the twelve. And that's all the conference
champions and everything accounted for, with Alabama as just sort
of the last team in. I'm saying, what if Alabama
loses fifty nine nothing to Georgia. So it's just an

(21:14):
at large spot literally anyone can go here. And our
options at that point are let's just say, for the
sake of podcasting, maybe we can include BYU. Maybe BYU
loses closely.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
To Texas Tech.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
We've got BYU, we have Miami, we have Georgia Tech,
and we have Vanderbilt.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
So in that case, like I'm looking at the twenty fourteen,
Wisconsin went from thirteen to eighteen. It dropped five spots.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Okay, I don't think that's a completely different committee with
totally different people on it. I don't think you can
find I don't think you can look for that type
of precedent and have it.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
All right, So fine, go ahead and put Miami if a.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Fifth Alabama, but.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
I don't know, so you can keep them in.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Yeah, well we're going to keep them in for now.
I yeah, I don't expect them.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
But vander Moult and Georgia Tech are out though, okay,
both are out.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
I'm yeah, I'm just I'm just trying to I don't
want to have to pull a team, and I don't
want to have to pull a team from satire because
we didn't anticipate something happening. So right now we're saying
that Miami is the thirteenth team.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Yep, correct, Yes, miamis the thirteenth team, and then b
y U, North Texas and JMU have the shot to
get in. And honestly, I don't see the committee puting
Duke in. I just can't see it when they're saying
the top the top five conference champions get in.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Uh huh, I want to see what happens. I just
want Duke to win two, just to put the playoff
committee in that position that.

Speaker 2 (23:06):

Speaker 1 (23:58):
Okay, time talk about our sloop picks.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Yes, sir, I psiched last last week.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
It's I mean, it's way too little, way too late,
but I did crush you last week.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Mm hmm. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
I was maybe hoping to gain a couple spots on
the guest pickers, but someone had to go and ask
sun Card his opinion.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Yeah, all right, let's move on to the sloop picks. Jared,
all right, first up here Friday, we got a pair
of Friday night to games. But we will start off
with the seven o'clock one. We have the American Nope,
not the American, sorry, the sun Belt. We have the

(24:42):
Sun Belt Championship game of James Madison, the home team
taken on Troy, where jameson Madison, the Dukes are a
twenty two and a half point favorite. And Jared, uh huh,
that is not enough. Give me it's the Dukes. Give
me the Dukes.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Yeah, no, I agree. They they're playing for everything right now. Hey,
speaking of sun Card, guess who just popped in? Hey,
sun Card, you want to do picks?

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Come right?

Speaker 1 (25:16):
All right?

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Right?

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Who you got? Just one?

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Put him in here? James Madison twenty two and a
half versus Troy in the Sun Belt Championship game.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
James, James mad James Madison got everything to play for there,
as we just got done discussing, have a chance to
potentially get into the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
Yep, he's got jmu all right, all right, We're gonna
move a little quick here, so keep up some card,
all right, tu Lane. Next game the American the American
Conference Championship game two lane, the home team over Or
taking on North Texas, and North Texas is a two
and a half point favorite in this matchup. Eight o'clock

(26:02):
kickoff Friday night. Where is the game? That's a great question.
I think me. Let me go to it real quick.
It is new It is in New Orleans, LA.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
The other LA, well, the state's l A.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
It is playing at Tulane.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Yeah. The smaller conferences don't typically go neutral site. They
typically just play at home. I don't even think the
Pac twelve was doing neutral sites towards the end there.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Mm hmm. Maybe they were. Who do you got? Who
do you got?

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Jared Uh, I'm simply picking the underdog here. Everything's on
the line. Give me the underdog. I don't think anyone's
a dog in this game.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Yeah, that was my thought too. I think this is
a pretty even matchup. I will I will pick two
lane as well. I'll wait for Sun hard here. He
has two ling at home. All right, all right? Next
up the Big twelve Conference Championship game, Texas Tech taking

(27:11):
on b Y. You and the Red Raiders are a
thirteen about said twelve thirteen and a half point favorite
noon kickoff and I, Jared, think that is not enough.
I agree. I know Byu has so much to play
to win this, to get in here, but I just

(27:35):
think the Red Raiders are just just too much. There's
just too much. I think. I think Teslas Tech is
going to run away with this.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Yeah, I've been on the Texas Tech bandwagon for a
while now. I think they're one of the more dangerous
teams entering the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Played in Arlington, Texas. If that mean, if that helps
anything too for your son.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Card, this is uh Jerry world, is it not?

Speaker 2 (28:03):
It is Jerry's world at and T Stadium. I'll vote
for weirdness, by U, said.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Sun Card, all right, it certainly weird.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Yeah, Mac good old macshin Championship.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Game, Kyle, a tradition unlike any other, the the one
week a year where we do a Mac v Mac
slute pick.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
I was a little surprised. I thought I thought Ohio
was going to get in. But Miami has the tie breaker.
Miami has apparently has the tiebreaker there. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
How that is I have to look into I don't
want to waste show cycles.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Because because Ohio beat Miami, I.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Don't want to Kyle, nobody cares, Okay, Uh, Western Michigan
is a two and a half point favorite, and I agree.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
I agree as much as I want to pick an
Ohio pick the Ohio tea here actually was supposed to
be your pick, But either way I'll pick. I'll pick
the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
Here, Kyle, this is the second week in a row
who have chosen a Michigan team over an Ohio team.
I'll give you Miami.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
It's it's tough beating the opponent twice in one year
in Miami beat Western Michigan earlier this year.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
So okay, if you say so, But I don't give
a damn for the whole state of Michigan.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
I hate I hate Western Michigan colors. So give me
Washington Western Michigan.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
Sure. Actually, I always say Clemson has the worst color
combo in all of sports. Man, Western Michigan's right behind him.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
Yeah. Uh. SEC Championship Game four o'clock, Alabama, the home
team taking on Georgia, where Georgia is a two and
a half point favorite. Have you got in this one, Jared.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
I am simply taking Alabama because simply they are the underdogs.
That that's it, gotcha, Just just just like my two
lane pick, I'm taking the underdog. I don't I don't
see either of these teams as as dogs. So if
you're gonna give me, even if it's only two and
a half points to pick one of them, I'm gonna
I'm gonna pick that one.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Again. I'm going with the same pick like I did
with Western Michigan. It's tough being beating an opponent twice
in a row, So I got I'll pick the dogs
in this one.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
Sun Card is typing still wild Texas A and M's
not in this game. I think they're clearly the best
team in the conference this year.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
The next one is even wilder. Take Georgia to get
Bama out of the picture. In this game, it's pretty
much a home home game though too. Yeah, sure is
all right, speaking of weird ones, the ACC championship game
Virginia and let me make sure this is this is

(31:04):
football we're talking about, right, Yeah, Virginia and Duke two
and a half point spread for Virginia. Who do you got? Jared?

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Sun Card's asking why is the spread so close, Well,
because sun Card, Virginia is also bad.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Because, as as Jared has always has been saying for
many years, I don't think you've you've done this bit
yet at all this year. But the ACC sucks.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
Well I always did that about the PAC twelve. But yeah,
we can apply it to the ACC as well. It's
it's just the it's the wheel of mediocrity. That's that's
what the ACC is. That's what the ACC has always been.
I do think Virginia is better. So but here's here's

(31:58):
the thing, though. The law logical brain says take Virginia.
The chaos brain says, take due.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah, give me Duke. You know the last two picks.
I'm gone. It's tough to it's tough to be an
opponent twice in a row. Yeah, Virginia beat Duke just
a few weeks ago. What was the score. It'll be
three weeks, It'll be three weeks. Not the question they

(32:27):
played on the fifteenth, thirty four to seventeen, thirty four
to seventeen. I got the cavaliers. Listen.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
I think that's the good sound logical choice. Sun Card
says he's baffled. Well, I I.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Ducas ducas two and two in their last four games,
and they they're in the ACC championship game.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
UV a upward inflection because he's unsure.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
All right, the last one, last one real quick here.
We will talk more about it in our Know Your
Enemy episode that would be released on Thursday. Wow State,
we'll be wearing their scarlet home uniforms with Jared the
gray sleeves, the champion. Yes, everybody, yes, everybody. The Buckeyes

(33:18):
are going to be wearing their gray sleeves. So take
that all in here. Five and a half point favorite
over the not doing it the Hoosiers.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
You know what, I respect your choice not to do it. Yeah,
I'm still thinking Ohio State that that's not enough.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
I get to pick Ohio State and they're in their
favorite by less than a touchdown. I'm sorry. M money
money money, money, money, money money. No black numbers. They
even done the black numbers in a long time, really,
the only.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Yeah, it's been a while, so look at Yeah, it's
going to be scarlet, white numbers, gray sleeves.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
It's it's being called there. It's basically going to be
the home version of what they wore during the playoffs
this year or last year, last season? It was this year. Well,
part of it was, no, this does none of this matters? Kyle,
did you did you make a choice?

Speaker 2 (34:20):
I got the buck eyes. I'm learning my lesson.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Okay, we we went heavy towards the quote unquote home teams. Now,
of course, these are almost all neutral sites, so no
one's really well, some of them are, some of them
are our home.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
But you know, you know, Jared, they said, like, what
of ale reports saying yes, they are playing they are
wearing the scarlet uniform since they are their home team,
and they're saying the gray sleeves. But in the playoffs though,
they didn't. When they wore the scarletliforms, they did not
have grace sleeves. Oh but the reports I'm seeing was

(34:57):
that when asked, when asked like, which which uniforms are
they wearing and and it was just said national championship jerseys.
So I take that as gray sleeves. So if it's not,
I'm gonna be upset. I'm going to be upset.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Hold on, here's here's Jack Sawyer.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
And yeah, yeah, they are not gray sleeves.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Now that's not the national title though.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
No, it's not because they were. They didn't. But they
did wear graves. They did wear gray sleeves. Yes, So
here's the thing we'll find out. We'll find out.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Listen, someone in the Discord server last week got everyone
all excited that Ohio State was gonna be wearing their
white on whites against Michigan. I'm not going to say
who that person was, but someone read a little too
closely into a tweet and got everyone all sighted that
Ohio State was going to be wearing their white pants

(36:05):
and their entire white kit. Some people call it the
cocaine whites. I would never use such a phrase. And again,
I don't know. I don't remember who got everyone all
hyped up, Kyle, do you remember who got everyone all
hyped up about the about the cocaine whites?

Speaker 2 (36:19):
I do, mm hmm. What was it? Here's t Jared.
It was me.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
Okay, okay, it was me. I may have just rud
a little too closely into a tweet and got everyone
all excited about it. So I'm I'm going to retire
from prognosticating about uniforms for now until until it uh,
until until I want to again.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Mm hmm. All right, that's it. That is our picks here?
Do we do we want to do? Do we want
to do a Because it's only two picks, we can
only pick two games. One of one of the two games.
You have to pick Troy upset James Madison for one

(37:03):
point or you picked Duke beating Virginia for nine points. So,
I mean, is that what it is?

Speaker 1 (37:14):
I think it's it's North Texas?

Speaker 2 (37:17):
Was it not?

Speaker 1 (37:17):
Or did I just write down the wrong thing? Did
I mess up?

Speaker 2 (37:21):
No, it's James Madison in Troy. It would be Troy.
North Texas is twenty fourth and Tulane.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
Is according to remember we use the AP, we do.
Let's look at let's look at the APT. No, North
Texas is twentieth. They're actually rked a lot higher in
Tulane is twenty first and.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
James Madison is nineteenth. I'm just looking at this now.
James Madison's way up at nineteen in the AP.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Yeah, listen, wow, you know what it's It's fine, don't
we don't need to Oh?

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Yes, that brings up a good point there there. Well, No,
do we want to add Army and Navy into here? Too? Technically? Okay?

Speaker 1 (38:05):
Are either of them ranked Navy is okay. Well, point
is is that now it doesn't we can't affect the
un score anything.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
It's it's duked.

Speaker 1 (38:17):
Okay, we're both picking. It's really the only choice, all right, Kyle.
That is the end of chaos. The Conference Championship week.
