Speaker 1 (00:37):
Thank us up, says that fool who come to sleep.
Guys I doing today?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Lay dear, how are.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
You you're good? Doing good thing, good shop, good tradition?
What have we gotta? What have we gotta surs for today?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
We cleven collegiate chaos. We're gonna go ahead and do
our your list. I'm gonna go ahead and do some
sweet picks. We're gonna pick our chaos theory. And maybe
if we have a little bit of time, we can
talk about the first playoff rankings. No, we won't have time.

(01:18):
We won't. If we have time, we won't.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
All I said, all right, an accurate prediction that we
won't have time.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
All right, all right, let's let's go into the tier
list here. Some things to move around here, Okay, AIG
state convincing when Indiana states put Alabama states put Texas
A and and stays put right, Yes, all innate or
s tier? All right?

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, I agree?

Speaker 2 (01:55):
A tier we have or in Georgia ole miss Notre
Dame b by u tu Lane, Miami and Georgia Tech.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Right, two things to talk about here, Miami and Georgia
Tech both taken l I would say you.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Did Georgia Tech you did Georgia Tech on the road.
I tell you every three or four years, every three
or four years, m h night game in Raleigh with
a ranked team.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yeah, gotta be careful, gotta be on the road at night,
especially this time of year when it's getting dark, nice
and early dangerous. It's always dangerous. Ohio State fans know this.
It's one of our rules. Don't don't play the historic

(02:59):
the historic.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
It's a good thing that they are playing a one
pm game. Get a historic West West Coast or West
West Coast West Conference.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yeah, uh, wolves howl at night just science. Hey, that's
a good point, Esquire, that's a squire. Yeah, that was.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
All right.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Georgia Georgia Tech, Jared, I, this is their first loss.
I say they stay put. I don't want to replace
them with with anybody. I think they're still my favorite
to win the ACC. They're still my favorite to win

(03:40):
the a CEC at this point. When I say still,
I mean newly because I'm historically well known in the discord.
Is not a Georgia Tech believer, but but but but
as of recently, as of recently, I I do think
they're the favorite to win the conference. Now if we're

(04:01):
just talking about the a CC for a moment. If
we're just talking about the a CEC for a moment,
can we can we graduate Duke and pitch to at
least be tire I think so and enter them into.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
The Yeah, being one loss, Yeah, I think so as well.
Now hear me out, Jared.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Duke, as you're hearing you out.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
No, not Duke replace Yeah, Georgia Tech. Okay, actually, actually
do we because Virginia also lost to NC State earlier
this year too. I was Georgia Tech.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Should we be talking about NC State right now?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Where are they?

Speaker 1 (04:53):
They? They're just down in the in the wash of
C teams, Jared, not even in C. Plus. I'm gonna
have right at least that lost chair.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
That's right. N C State Virginia was not a conference
game that.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Good. I I forgot about that. And you were correct.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Virginia. Yes, Virginia under the place. Virginia with Georgia Tech
undefeated in conference play wild statement.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
So we're going to put the Cavaliers.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
In, Yes, and and Georgia Tech.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Talking about how Georgia Tech is being replaced in the
eighth year, I assume that means that we're dropping Miami.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yes, Miami drops.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
That's Miami's second.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Well do they stay?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Do they stay in B? Well, let's let's see look
at the a SEC standings right now. Mm hmm, Kyle,
I might make a case here that Miami gets emptied.
Oh geez, they I mean this is their second conference
loss in a conference filled with one loss or less teams, and.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Both both teams that they lost to only have one
loss in conference too, so, and.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
And that I don't think that they're impressive enough at
this point to get a wildcard spot. That could potentially change,
and maybe we should keep them the beat for that sake.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
But the only thing that's really keeping Miami afloat here
is their Week one when against Notre Dame. Sure that
they don't have anything else that they can keep them
afloat here? Do they nothing?

Speaker 1 (06:52):
We're okay? So the college football rankings just came out?
Where did where? Where did? How did? What? Does the
committee think? Because they have to get a wild card?
I don't. I don't think they can in the a
CEC at this point. Maybe I'm wrong, Maybe a lot
more chaos will happen to get them in, but it
doesn't feel super likely.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Eight Teen.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Okay, that's very far away from twelve, well eleven even
actually because of the.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Close enough close enough that they can get back in.
So I'd say for now B tier.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Okay, but they need a wild card. Do we agree
on that they need a wild card? Because the ACC
is currently packed with one loss teams and they have
two losses and when I.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
A lot of these teams play each other, I mean,
there's still quite a bit of football left still, Okay,
but we got to move on though. We could spend
a lot of time on this, but I think I think.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Directing the wheel of mediocrity that is the ACC.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Yeah, I think the rest stays Oregon, Georgia almost Notre
Dame BYU, and Twulane. I think all stay, Virginia adding
in to replace Georgia Tech.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I don't know that Tulane is my favorite American team anymore.
But opening up that opening up that conversation at this
point feels very open ended and could take a while.
I'll tell you this much, I want to move North
Texas into B tear.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Okay, why is that? Explain yourself.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
I just look, just look at the American standings, I mean,
just us standings in the American Conference.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
We're just going to start just putting a bunch of
teams in here.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Right, we already have a bunch of American Conference teams
in here because they're very literally on the bubble, like
they're in a need.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Do we need to add every Do we need to
add every bubble team into here? Then?

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I think if you're within a game of a conference
with an auto qualifier, that's at least worthy of starting
a conversation.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Okay, then you also need to add in say this softly,
you need to add in Michigan. We do need to
add in Michigan, like Iowa and USC.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
I say, I'm willing. I'm willing to put Iowa into
C plus. Now they play Oregon this week, so maybe
that will take care of itself.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
After we see they Playweah, Iowa plays Oregon, then USC
and back to back weeks.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Yes, so Big ten has a more robust upper middle
class this year. I have been told by everyone, but
that's not true. And maybe it's just because they keep
ranking Tennessee but they won't rank Iowa. But I digress.

(10:13):
By the way, we do need a rank Michigan. I
think we're being homers by not ranking Michigan quite frankly,
and we probably should have ranked Michigan last week.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Off.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
They're off this week, they're off this weekend, and then
they are on the road back to back weeks against
Northwestern Maryland. Don't sleep on Northwestern. That one could be
could be interesting, though.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
I think the fact remains that, well, you and I
did the math on this after our show on on Sunday.
Michigan does not control their own destiny because they would
if they were to win out, which includes beating Ohio State,

(11:00):
and USC were to win out, and Ohio State would
otherwise win out. So if all three of those teams
went out, with the exception of Michigan beating Ohio State,
that would cause a three way tie that would after
you go through the tie breakers, would end up putting
USC in. So USC doesn't control their own destiny because

(11:22):
they need Michigan to beat Ohio State, and Michigan doesn't
control their own destiny because if they went out, they
need USC to lose a game somewhere along the way. Yep,
this is starting. This is this is why I like twelve.

(11:42):
This is why I like twelve team playoff. I love
that we care about I love that we care about
the standings and the conferences all of a sudden. Yes,
I think that's fantastic. By the way, we dropped Miami.
We need to replace Miami. I think it's Texas Tech.
For the record, I already have tex Tex sitting. Yeah,
I think Texas Tech too. Yep, Texas Tech.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
I would agree.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
We have two big twelve teams in there, which yep,
it's right for right now, we'll solve itself, I believe.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Well, let me look real quick and then we'll we'll
kind of wrap things up here.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
They do not play each other, so yeah, it's kind
of they're going they do, but they will in the
conference game. Oh, they do play each other. This it
is this weekend.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
That's what I thought. You really mess with my head
there for a second. The b YU Texas Tech thing
will resolve itself this weekend. I'm not sure they deserve
an upgrade. You're talking about Michigan after their performance last
week versus Perdue. It's it's just it's just standings. Matt, Listen,

(12:54):
you're not wrong. But here's the thing. I think they
should have been there already. I think we're correcting a
as mistake honestly, m hmm. They pretty much kind of
control their own destiny, yeah, or they have to pave
the road for USC one of the two.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Yeah, first time I'm seeing this, Jared. If it were
if we're the playoffs were to end right now, but
we have is exactly how the committee had without us,
without us really without us looking at this too.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Honestly, they have Memphis instead of two Lane, and I
think they're Yes, I think they're right. I think I
like Memphis more than I like tu Lane right now.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
I mean, if you want to switch it, go ahead.
Doesn't bother me though em Tier though, I think we
moved Texas out of em Tier. I think they made
they move, made their way out of Emptier.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Yeah, they controled. Do they control their own destiny in
the SEC right now? Let's see they have Alabama, Alabama
and Texas A and M do I think so they
are this weekend and they're just I think they're like
the third team at the moment, you know.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
I mean a lot of them, A lot of them.
Do they need some chaos? So all Texas needs to
do is have either Ole Miss or Alabama. I don't know,
because I don't know how the tiebreakers work either way.
They only have one loss left on their schedule. They

(14:41):
are yeah, they are off this weekend, and they finished
the season with at Georgia, home to Arkansas and then
home to Texas, A and M. So they could could
take off two teams in front of them, and they
would need Alabama to lose one, or really they need

(15:03):
just need All Miss to lose and then it would
be Alabama and Texas in the SEC then, So really
they just need to win out and Ole Miss to
mess up. I don't know if Alabama will lose. If
Alabama loses, I don't know. I don't know how that
would play out in the in the tiebreaker. And now

(15:23):
I don't care to look into it right now because
we don't are not gonna have enough time here, Okay,
But the rest of the teams in MTR, Clemson, Penn State, LSU,
Florida State.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Yes, LSU has a chance to do at least do
something very funny this weekend though, so they could not that.
I not that I think that redeems their season because
it doesn't, but it would be very funny. Yeah, all right,
let's going to take that first ad break real quick here, Jared,
I think I think I can. I think I can
finish this. I think I can finish this. I think Navy, Vanderbilt,

(15:57):
and Cincinnati should all drop.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
I'm fine with that. Yep, VANDILT Vanderbolt needs too much,
too much help here. If I'm looking at they have
two losses. Yeah, I don't think a two loss SEC
teams getting in. Yeah that I think they're out.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Okay, So I have our C plus tier currently with Iowa,
n c State, Navy, Cincinnati, Vanderbilt. I think Oklahoma, jm U,
San Diego State.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
I think Vanderbilt is a straight C. They're a straight
C now not even plus.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
No, Okay, I don't think I'm going with I'm like, yes, cool,
going with it.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
But I think Cincinnati is a C plus. They they
have one loss. I don't know the tiebreaker situation. I mean,
they do have one more loss than Texas Tech right now,
but if Texas Tech screws up, they're they're right there
in the Big Twelve Championship game if they went out.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Oh what about Louisville, Houston, s m U.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
They all have two losses?

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Oh do they So maybe Cincinnati should be in B then.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Or so Cincinnati b YU and Texas Tech. Actually, no,
Cincinnati Texas Tech do not play each other, but b
YU does play both Texas Tech and Cincinnati. Interesting to
finish the season. Yeah, alright, let's just keep them in
C plus. Just keep them at C plus.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
All right, keeping them in C plus? All right?

Speaker 2 (17:40):
All right, ad break, thesoofcast dot com is your link

taking a big old wamp wumping over their rival down south.
There you can talk about much more over at Discord again, Discord,

our YouTube page, and much more over at the slipcast
dot com. We'll take that at break and be right back.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Real quick. That squire does point out down in the chat,
of course we should have. I mean, this is kind
of a duh moment. Texas does in fact play Texas
A and M. Still yeah, I said that. Oh okay,
my bad.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
All right, let's talk about the Sloop pick scoreboard. Sun
Card once again won the web picks this week. He's
making the rest of us look like a bunch of chumps.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
He's got half the wins.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Yeah, I gained a game on you, but the guest
guest picker Austin on behalf of the larger guest crew,
gained two points on you in one point on me.
So it's now for the season total. Kyle with thirty

(19:41):
eight points, the guest pickers with thirty seven, and I'm
at thirty three after I had two disaster weeks.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, let's guest picks go a
head is Dinger.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
He's going to attempt hit a home run. Yeah, all right,
little picks, let's do.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
It, let us do it. Indeed, all right. First off,
we have talked about earlier Memphis hosting to Lane. I
don't know, I did it, took a screenshot of it. Well, Memphis, yep,
is a home favorite to get Tulane by six and

(20:31):
a half points. Friday night kickoff at nine p m.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yes, sir, sometimes eastern Eastern. No, no, No, you didn't say otherwise.
I was just pointing out that that the time has changed.
Never mind, Kyle, please continue to stop me from rambling.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Six and a half. I mean I'd be more, I'd
be more worried about seven and a half. M Yeah,
so I'll take Memphis to win by a touchdown. Sure,
I'll take, I'll take I'll take the Tigers here.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
I one hundred percent agree with you. I think that
it's on the correct side of the sixth of the
six attack versus the seven and a half split. I
didn't want to say the thing, so yeah, I agree.
So Jared and Kyle will both go with Memphis despite

(21:31):
the points.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
But you didn't see me there, Jared.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
I No, I wasn't looking at you. What does what
does Dinger say? All right?

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Dinger says questions at quarterback from Memphis give me too
lane to cover?

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Understood?

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Not bad? All right?

Speaker 4 (21:55):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Penn State? Yeah, looking to do better this weekend. Uh
face the number one team last weekend. Going to face
the number two team this weekend, but this time at
home noon game. But they are only a fourteen and
a half point underdog in this matchup.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Yeah, you got who you got.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
In this one.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Jared little peak into Vegas is thinking now, granted Ohio
State was at home, but that's typically worth about three
or four points. But you know, it looks like Vegas
does like Ohio State a little bit more than Indiana
based off of spread numbers. I think we'll see how

(22:38):
they perform differently, which I think will just be interesting
for Buckeye fans. I think this makes this kind of
at least for the first hour I must watch for
Ohio State fans before the actual Ohio State game kicks off,
just to do kind of a comparison, to do a
little one to one comparison. I think. I think Grunkemeyer

(23:03):
is gonna keep getting better. I think he's a talented kid.
I think he's just been thrown into a very tough situation.
I think he has potential. I think he'll get better.
This will now be his third start. He'll be at
home this time, you know, getting more practice reps. I

(23:25):
think we'll see the best version of him that we've
seen so far. That being said, Indiana's out to prove something.
They're not just winning games they're beating teams. I think
they see the mark set by Ohio State and I
think they want to beat it, and I think they're
going to try and beat it. Give me Indiana despite

(23:46):
the fourteen and a half points.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
Yeah, I agree, I I agree. I agree with everything
you said there, Jared. I don't think this is going
to be close here. It could be kind of like,
kind of like the Ohio State game, Penn State kind
of hang around the quarter, quarter and a half there,
but then Indiana offensively will just kind of take over there. Fourteen.

(24:12):
I kind of like them winning by like fourteen seventeen points.
So that's Vegas knows what they're doing. But I'll I'll
take the odds and I'll pick the uh the uh
sure to cover.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
All right, what does Dinger say?

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Dinger says, sig is going to put fifty plus on
a now properly demoralized team to get or keep that
CFP number one spot. Well, sorry, Dinger, they have number
two spot, but he has Indiana to win in cover. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
I think we're all in agreement there, not just in
the side we picked, but the howls and the whys
of it.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yep, all right, Next, up Texas Tech hosting by You
to the top teams in the Big twelve here BYU
looking to stay undefeated and is a ten and a
half point underdog on the road. Who do you got, Jared?

Speaker 1 (25:18):
I believe Texas t might pick or is it my pick?

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Or is it my pick?

Speaker 1 (25:21):
I think it's actually your pick.

Speaker 2 (25:23):
It is my pick. I I think this will be close.
I yeah, I think this will be close. Ten and
a half is I think it's a lot of points here,
Se Yeah, I'll pick. I'll pick BOYU to cover here.
I think I think Texas Tech will will win it,
but I think it will be closer than ten and
a half.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Kyle, You and I once again total lockstep. I think
Texas Tech wins, but ten and a half points is
too rich for me.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Well make that make that three here, because Dinger says
the exact same thing. Ten and a half is a
lot p YU to cover. Yeah, simple enough.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
And by the way, I think BYU as a better
chance of winning the game than Texas Tech does of
covering ten and a half. But I still think Texas
Tech wins.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
Sure, all right, Iowa hosting Oregon here this This would
be an interesting game, just just saying an interesting game.
To keep your keep your an eye out for home
game three p thirty. I know it's not a night game,
but just keep your eyes on this one. Iowa home

(26:29):
hosting Oregon is a five and a half point underdog.
Who do you got, Jared?

Speaker 1 (26:38):
I like Iowa. That's it, That's that's the whole thing.
I like Iowa. I think Iowa has the best quarterback
play they've had. God I could. I can't even when
is the last time Iowa had quarterback play this good?

(27:03):
I don't remember. This is the best quarterback play I've
ever seen Iowa have.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Maybe maybe, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
I mean it's not a high bar.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Especially what we've seen the past from Iowa. The bar
is pretty low, especially the last couple of years that
we've seen Iowa's offense too, which were harrendous.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Yeah, and that's saying something because it was never good
except for that one night and they played us.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
Both teams have a lot to play for here, because honestly,
this is whoever loses is there. There's the playoffs ship
and possibly the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Possibly Oregan's kind of nearing the bad side of the bubble.
They're on the good side of the bubble right now.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Yeah, they are currently ninth. They they lose this one here?
Do they do they have any good opponents coming up
to kind of redeem themselves? Uh? They do. They actually
do USC and Washington to end the season. So maybe maybe,
but this is definitely they do. This is definitely. If

(28:23):
Iowa loses, they're they're out. They they need to win
out to get into the Big Ten championship game here
and don't need a little bit of help. But but yeah,
I I agree, I actually have Iowa two yeah to

(28:47):
cover here.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
I don't know, Kyle, are you giving Are you giving
away something I'm just cover here that you should be
saving for the next time. I just got Iowa covering. Okay, I.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Have to say, let's see the cheaters up north team
tried to get the boiler Makers a conference win last week.
And do you refuse to gesture Ohio stay? Oh well nope, nope,
I'm ringing the wrong one. Sorry, Moving on, I did
three point thirty kick means no real body clock issue,

(29:21):
nor is it a night game in Iowa Oregon to
win and cover?

Speaker 1 (29:30):
All right, Kyla? I believe no, never mind? Uh, Missouri,
Texas A and.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
M Missouri, Texas A and M. Missouri is a six
and a half point underdog at home. I have let
me go to my picks here. I have Texas AM
to cover. I'm I don't really like Missouri. I really don't.
I got I'll pick Texas A and M. Is that

(30:00):
side good side of the touchdown coverage here, So I'll
take I'll take the Aggies.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Copy and paste what you said.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
I totally agree, and Dinger pretty much says the same.
A and M looks real. Missouri doesn't. I guessed to
win and cover. Yeah, man, Dinger just just going straight
away teams here.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yeah, he has one gone away so far. Yeah, all right,
I have feeling one more chance to to not do that.
But that's just a feeling.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Alabama hosting LSU seven point thirty game and is a
ten and a half point favorite. I'll just I'll just
get this knocked out here. Dinger is going straight here, Jared,
he has Alabama winning, but l s U to cover.

(31:01):
Who do you got, Jared?

Speaker 1 (31:04):
I'm going I'm going Bama here. We have listen, LSU
has the government involved in their in their football program. Now,
the coach, like gleefully walked out after getting fired. Everyone

(31:27):
there apparently hated him. Not that I'm surprised by that.
You got a program in total disarray. LSU bankertons that's
a great reference. I like, I don't know. Ten and

(31:48):
a half points isn't enough to scare me off here.
I think Alabama has Alabama has goals and aspirations, and
LSU is just trying to get through the just trying
to get through the week. Give me Bama minus nine
and a half.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
Yeah, I agree, I got Alabama here too much distractions
for LSU. Here in Alabama is just gonna They're just
gonna take over. I just don't I just don't trust
ls hu's offense at ally to try to keep up
with Alabama.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
We're about to have the exact same picks, unless you're
gonna surprise me on the next one. Now, on the
next one, you and I aren't gonna give explanations. We'll
do our explanations on tomorrow's show. On the Thursday show
called Know Your Enemy, we'll hear Dinger's explanation. But Kyle
in one word Perdue plus twenty eight and a half

(32:45):
hosting Ohio State, Who do you Have? But this is
a one PM kickoff, not a noon kickoff, not a
three thirty kickoff, not a four to thirty kickoff, a
one pm Eastern kickoff.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
One word, and it's on the Big ten network too.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
That that was several words. That's a joke. One word.
Who do you have? I might give you two words
because I'm feeling John derailing. Okay, that's that's one word,
but you pronounced it like it was two guys. All right.

(33:30):
My one word is agree, right, Kyle, we had, we had.
I'm gaining no points on you this week.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Nope, you're not. Dinger says, uh yeah, but I was
about to say this earlier. Cheaters up North team tried
to get the boiler Makers a conference win last week
and pretty refused to gesture. I'll say we will not
be as generous buck guys by fifty bajillion billion points.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
That sounds that sounds about right to me. But I'm
not I'm not touching that one.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
Nope, not.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
All right, Kyle. One more segment left in this show.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Yes, chaos theory, Kyle, I am five for ten. I
am fifty percent this year on chaos theory.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Kyle is the chaos master this year. And not only
are you fifty percent in predicting chaos. But your total
score is currently the funny number.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
My total number is the funny number right now.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
So so you're you're you have the hot seat, not
the hot seat, the hot hand. Funny that those mean
two opposite things, you etymology, it's fun Let's let's move forward,
so you get to go first.

Speaker 2 (35:01):
All right, there's a couple couple of games here. Now
we're going off of AP. A little confusing here. We're
gonna go off of AP because of Dinger made us
picks based on the AP rankings. Not fair, not fair
for him to put the put his picks in when
just out before we started recording, the playoff rankings came in.

(35:24):
So we're going off of AP point rankings. Yeah, via
point and then into points here.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
We'd be cheating Dinger otherwise or whoever the guest picker
is this week, So we could if.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
You wanted to, can pick Iowa upsetting Oregon even though
in the playoffs, or Iowa is ranked twentieth and can't
do that, then yes.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Additionally, Oregon is worth three additional points because they're ranked
higher in the AP than they are.

Speaker 2 (35:55):
The playoff they are, And yes, Jared, That's where I
was going to go. Is the Hawkeyes pulling up the
upset against the Ducks here the Ducks kind of playing
playing with playing with fire the previous the last time
that they hit the field. I know that they've had
a week off to try to fix things against Wisconsin

(36:20):
where they won twenty one to seven. Yeah, I at
home in Iowa. Yeah, I like my odds here. It's
a lot of points. I kind of. I was kind
of between that one, Jared, and the other one that
was thinking about picking was the Demon Deacons over over

(36:42):
the Cavaliers, which that would have been a good amount
of points as well. I was worth twelve points.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
I was also looking at that one. I agree that.
Being said, Dinger went a different direction. He has Auburn,
which I somehow misspelled or at least mistyped. I'm gonna
give myself the credit and just say I mistyped instead

(37:09):
of misspelling it, which is slightly less embarrassing. He has
Auburn getting the upset this weekend, which is worth eleven points.
And Kyle, if you haven't looked at the screen and
noticed for yourself yet, I also have Iowa upsetting again.
All right, Kyle, We're not cheat. No, you did not.

(37:31):
We're total We have the exact same sloop picks. We
have the exact same chaos theory pick.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Well, that's not fun.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
It is not. It is not.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
What else is not fun is that we have to
we have to end this episode too.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Yeah. Good, good, that's a good transition. It's a great transition.
Even I won't deny that. But we're bad at We're
bad podcasters. We are We're bad at this.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
Uh Coyle's corner.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
Yeah, do your thing, all right, Uh.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
Basketball team want to know.

Speaker 1 (38:10):
That's that's a good start, right. This was this against
Uey Pooey?

Speaker 2 (38:17):
Not quite Okay, no, it just it was just OUI.
It was just OUI. Okay, okay, it's I U Indi.
They won one hundred and eighteen to one oh two.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Artist formerly known as Ui Pooy?

Speaker 5 (38:34):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Are you saying O Pooy doesn't exist anymore? Now? Is
it different? Wait a minute, Esquire saying this is the case.
Are you telling me that University of Indiana dash Indianapolis
used to be Uey Pooey? This is a revelation to me.
If true, this is the second huge revelation I've had

(39:00):
at least per ninety seven to one the fan host
this morning. That is correct? Are you telling the UE
PUE no longer exist? Because I'm sad. This is the
second big revelation I've had this week that is shaking
me to my core. The other one has to do
with Ohio state color codes in HTML, and I'm not
even starting.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
I'm gonna have to. I'm gonna have to look into
this because I don't think that's true. I'm gonna look
into it, all right, we'll figure it out. I always
stroke out reading the color code analysis. Guys, it's a
it's behind the My color code analysis is behind the paywall. Sorry,

(39:42):
it's it's in the discord server in the sloopcat's only channel.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Oh oh.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
In twenty twenty four, I U p U I has
split into two separate campuses, namely Indiana University Indianapolis and
Purdue University in Dianapolis.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
I can't believe poo is dead?

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Ye poo is dead?

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Why would they? Why would they not want to be
ye pooe? Just OUI and Poe. They should be rivals,
and we know what the trophy would be. Too much
UI for one Pooey? Mmmm? Man? I wish we still

(40:30):
gave the podcast goofy names like we did in the
first couple of seasons, because too much UI. For one,
pooy would be the name of this episode. Remember when
we used to give the podcast name the pot the
podcast episodes goofy names like that, Kyle, Yeah, it was
the first few seasons of the show. All right, that's it.
That's the end. Oh sorry, go ahead, No, no, I

(40:51):
was literally gonna end the show. So if you have
something more to say, say it now.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
I was gonna say like when they split the team
to howse State played, I U Indie kept the athletic department,
so the other side has no athletic department. Is that
something new? Learned? Something new?

Speaker 1 (41:12):
Yeah, you should just name them completely unrelated things to
fuck with algorithms, Yeah, I mean, listen, the algorithm's already
not on our side. The algorithm already hates us because
we don't do click baby shit. So let's let's not

(41:34):
dig that hole even deeper. All right, that's the end
of today's episode. Just like on Monday, we'll be playing Defiance,
Ohio Collegiate Chaos. Colon is Archie Manning is arch Manning
a skin walker that would bring in a crowd. I
don't know if that would bring in the crowd we want,
but that would bring in a crowd. That's the end

(41:55):
of today's episode. Once again, the name of this band
Defiance Ohio. So I thought that being said, Uh, drink local,
you're listening to local music. Of course, Spiritual Podcasters once
again defines.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
Unfolds over time things we once knew. That dude dissolve
into the sky.

Speaker 4 (42:11):
She swears she sees a brand.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
New consolation every time somebody we know dies, it is
no consolation.

Speaker 4 (42:20):
Pwice.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
We won't remember you.

Speaker 4 (42:25):
So to get good sleep, bad night silence.

Speaker 3 (42:29):
See oracles, they're singing from its side. No buddy, really,
he wants to know the future.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
He just wants here. You'll be all right, We'll be
all right.

Speaker 4 (42:45):
These days they will find us learning that we had
it all wrong, don't These days they will find us
on a shame because we've been learning all along.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
And the radio plays up the Millier's song.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
And to this magice we hold on.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
I just don't want to feel.

Speaker 5 (43:11):
It's lost until it's long.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
It was an airy hard by left.

Speaker 1 (43:16):
You lonely, left the TV on.

Speaker 4 (43:21):
If I have wonder credits letting this whole by only
six ship straight later on.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
You hearing the hell out of me When my friends
say they have nobody to lean on.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
The radio plays a f milliar song.

Speaker 5 (43:41):
And in the darkness of my room, I keep conversing
with the man in the moon. I know he's gonna
tell him is something that I want here. I bet
it'll happen soon.

Speaker 4 (43:57):
It's all the books I've red, just don't read eat right.

Speaker 5 (44:01):
Say to save your song, you gotta hide yourself inside,
forget about your world that you perceived.

Speaker 4 (44:08):
No, we are here for such a little while. These
days they will find us learning that we had it
all wrong. These days they will find us kind of
shame because we've been.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
Learning all along. The radio plays up the Villa song.
If you are loose, you a lout, you aread love
you know you are loved you.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
I loved you, adread you love.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
