Speaker 1 (00:37):
Anchor's up sales of Welcome to the slupcast. How are
you doing today, Kyle?
Speaker 2 (00:42):
How are you doing? Hell? Are you doing?
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Doing good? Doing good? Doing good? All right, it is
time for cleechure chaos. I don't want to mess around.
I think we got a lot to do today. We
got we gotta update the tier list, we gotta do
some slip picks. Well, we gotta continue doing uh collegiate
chaos snip the name of the show, chaos theory is
(01:08):
the name of the game. So three things to get to,
three pretty big things to get to. So let's get going.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Sure, let's take a look at our tier list. A
lot of a lot of shake up a.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Minute tradition, Yeah I was. I was putting that off
as long as possible because I just whammed it with
my elbow right before we started recording.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
All right, all right, no more wasting time, Jared tier list.
A lot of shake up in our tier list, with
a lot of losses, a lot of it's a lot
of movement, a lot of movement.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
I think it's it's like, man, last week, we had
a lot of stuff to move around. I feel let's
feel listen, not too I don't feel like we have
a ton to do. Quite frankly, we we have Texas,
we have Penn State, who both.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Two big ones. We need to discuss about the M tier,
M tier M tier for Texas and Penn State. Now
you have you have Texas who law Actually, both losses
(02:20):
are bad if you really look at it. Texas lost
to lost to a closer one to a highly ranked team.
Same thing with Penn State. They both lost to a
team who had one win or less. Both of them
had that.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yeah, one win or less is a really nice way
of describing UCLA.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yes, I was being nice. You don't do that. You
don't do that if you you are favored to win
at all, like we had them in S tier. Yeah,
you don't do that.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
You don't do you don't do that, And we did.
They both did start in our S tier. Texas was
number one in the country preseason. Penn State was what
were they third? Mm hmm, third, fourth, depending upon the poll.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah, you know by the way, they were second or second. No,
there were second because thember it was Texas was one
and hog State was three. Because they're like, oh we
got a one to two matchup. State was third.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Remember that that's no. I think I think it depends
upon the poll.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
But the a P was definitely I did preseason here
yeah Texas, yep, yeah, a P was Texas coaches coaches
was Texas one, Ohio State two, Penn State three.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yeah yeah yeah so and is live those the ap matters,
the coaches matters even less. And also just really quick,
want to point out two losses, but two losses barely
out of October. This isn't like two losses at the
end of October. This isn't two losses at the end
(04:18):
of the regular season. This is two losses.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I mean when we can tell October.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Six weeks into the season and they both had five
weeks at some point during that.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
My vote, my vote, Jared, Yeah, both teams. Yeah, into
S tier or S two. Wow, from S to M tier.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Well from A tier, but yeah, yeah, I don't know
that I can disagree with that. They I mean, listen,
teams have worked their way out of EM tier once
once in the history of our tier list as a
team worked their way out of M tier. I'm not
saying it's impossible. I'm saying it's very likely.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
They both have opportunities to do that. But here we
are with week seven, and as of week seven, I
think they go an MdeR.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Theme. We didn't expect a lot from Penn State. We
knew better, Yeah, I mean I understood the national hype
around Penn State. No, no, no, we did. We absolutely
knew better because we knew we knew. James Franklin is
(05:37):
what it boils down to. I get it. Like Penn
State from an outsider's point of view, followed the same
formula that Michigan followed, that Ohio State followed. You know,
they're the Big ten team that surprisingly brought a bunch
of players back that no one was expecting them to
(05:58):
bring back. So they have this super seniored team. It
followed the formula of the last two national champions asterisks.
So I understand why people jumped on the Penn State bandwagon.
But James Franklin, James Franklin going to James Franklin, all right,
(06:23):
Kyle Florida State, Well, actually we just talked. We just
took two teams out of eight Tier, which means we
have to replace them. We have to have twelve total
teams to mimic the playoff between S tier and eight tier.
So we are now down to ten teams.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
We are, yes, I'm looking at the looking at the
list here, I can't put Florida State in there. They lost,
I think, I think right now, where would you put
Florida State.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
I'm they now have two ACC losses back to back. Yeah,
but ACC losses mind you like, yes, getting into that
ACC title game just became very difficult for them. Around
(07:24):
a seat tier.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
There are five undefeated teams in the ACC, right.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
And that's total under is that total undefeated or conference undefeated?
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Conference undefeated?
Speaker 1 (07:38):
But yeah, there are two games behind five different teams.
So I say set tier.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yep, I don't.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
I don't think. I don't think the ACC is going
to place two teams in the playoffs. And if they do,
having two losses six weeks in is not going to
help you.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Sure you have Iowa State as well. I think Iowa
State stays in B tier. It's one loss, yeah in conference. Yes,
they lost to Cincinnati, but they they get their chance
they play. They don't play Texas Tech. But the two
other teams that are ahead of them, other than Cincinnati
(08:21):
they lost to, they get to play. And I think
I think they'll put up battles. So I think Iowa
State still stays in B tier in that hunt, in
that hunt for to win the Big twelve. So I'd
say they can stay in B tiers with one.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
To lose the Texas Tech in the title game. Sure,
but that still counts as on the bubble.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Yep. All right, So we have to find two other
teams here? What would what would be one team? Jared,
you think that you would want to move up?
Speaker 1 (08:59):
It's Spikes. We are not putting South Florida into a tier.
We have Memphis in there, and I think we're gonna
roll with Memphis as our group of five representative. I
as much as I don't like to say it, I
think it's the truth. I think it's Georgia n LSU
(09:24):
until they play in three weeks. We'll we'll revisit this
in four weeks. I think it's Georgia LSU. It's I
don't know who else it would be. I don't like
Tennessee as much. I don't like Georgia or LSU that
much this year, But I don't know who else it is. Again,
(09:50):
I don't think the ACC is placing two teams. So
we have our ACC team in Miami.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yeah, is a process of elimination. Yeah, it's yeah. I
think you're right. Georgia and LSU right now, Wow, yeah,
SEC getting getting those teams coming in now.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
I mean we said it. We've said it a few
times already this season. The Big Ten this year is
much better, I think, like much better than the SEC
at the top of the conference. Which is weird that
I can say that so confidently, but it sounds like
(10:31):
a homer. I really honestly don't think it is. There
is a butt coming, to be clear, there's a plus coming. No,
not butt ten State. They lost Texas, we lost Penn State.
But the SEC is still much deeper than the Big Ten.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Yes, absolutely, I think the middle of the SEC is
still so much better than the middle of the Big Ten. Sure,
so I think I think that's good. So Aus State to.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Oregon, Miami State in S tier, Indiana, Texas and m Oklahoma,
Alabama almost Texas, Tech and Memphis stay in a tier.
And then we added Georgia and alis U. Yes, now
I think anybody anybody deserving to go up to B
(11:28):
tier though.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Uh, we just put Florida State down USC. We have
USC in Michigan. They play each other this week. I
say whoever wins this goes to B tier. Sure, but
I don't I'm not in a rush to put either
of them into B tier right now. Sure, Vanderbilt just
lost a good, like a good close game to Alabama.
(11:54):
The problem is is that we're already very crammed with
SEC teams as far as they're just being spots available.
Can we make a D tier for whiskey? N they whiskey.
Whiskey just doesn't better to be talked about.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
I've got two teams that two teams that's worthy of
moving up. Jared, No, it's not Utah.
Speaker 1 (12:15):
No, I was just moving you as moving Utah out
of the way. I think we could talk about Illinois.
But yeah, we'll see how they played this week against
Ohio State.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I'm gonna I'm gonna go with the team who has
a potential of upsetting a team this weekend. That's Missouri.
You have them right there in your hand, Missouri going
up to E tier five and zero.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
They get their chance to playing uh in Missouri take
on the Crimson Tide.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Well, how about we wait to see how that game
turns out.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I think I think it's worth putting them in B Tier. There.
They're in the hunt right now. They're in the hunt
to make the playoffs. So and I'd say the same
thing with Cincinnati. Cincinnati had a very close loss on
the road against Nebraska, and they just had a big
win over Iowa State in the hunt of the big
(13:16):
of the big twelve here. So I think you put
Cincinnati in the be tier.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Well, if we put Cincinnati in the be tier who
lost to Nebraska, I already have Nebraska over here in
c Plus, I say we moved Nebraska up too.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
What else have Nebraska done?
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Well?
Speaker 1 (13:34):
They beat Cincinnati, who we just put into the be here?
Speaker 2 (13:39):
What is just Nebraska's What is Nebraska's record? Though?
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Stop waiting for facts? Who needs facts?
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Hey?
Speaker 1 (13:49):
You know I do what I can?
Speaker 2 (13:53):
Yeah, I yeah, Let's put the corn Huskers up there
actually looking at it. Yeah, went over Cincinnati, uh three
point loss to the cheater up North team, and they
took care of business against against their little brother.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Does Nebraska have a little brother?
Speaker 2 (14:15):
No, that cheaters up North team's little brother or big brother. Sorry,
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, big brother. Michigan State, my my fault.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
No, Michigan State's back down the little brother. They lost
that Virginia. What do you think about Virginia.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Yeah, Virginia, Absolutely, Virginia moved up to be tier. Absolutely.
You can't forget. You can't forget about Virginia. They are
five and one. Uh, big win over Florida State, beat Louisville. Uh.
They did lose to the uh the wolf Pack earlier
(14:55):
on in the season. So that's that's a little glare
in their resume. You got you got a big win.
You got a big win against Florida State. So and
they're undefeated in conference in the ACC three and oh,
tied with Duke atop the a C C and then
Georgia Texas two and oh and then both Miami and
(15:18):
SMU both have one wins in conference.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Yeah, it's it's interesting to see how these conference because
I mean, outside the playoff bubble, we we do at
that point have to start looking at conference standings. So
that's even though even though like looking at this, I
don't think Virginia is better than Michigan or Illinois, who
we still have down in the Sea Tier. Sure, but
they come from less competitive conferences.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
But they are technically what we have are ratings to
be on the bubble outside of the outside of the
playoff bubble.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yes, uh as the Little Brother is Colorado. I'm good
with this as well.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
I'm good with I'm good with this, tearless. We'll lock
it down here, lock it in, all right, Austin troll
s perfect. All right, it's going to take that first
ad break, Jared, and we'll get to some sloop picks.
We are the swoop Cast. You can find all of
our lovely links over at the sloopcast dot com. And
(16:21):
some of those lovely links include our discord page Discord
dot sloop cast dot com feature and page, our YouTube
merchandise store called merch dot the sloopcast dot com, all
of those links in much much more over at the
sloop cast dot com. Take a quick ad break and
(16:42):
be back for some sloop picks.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Suncard. I'm not one of those people. Congrats to the
four people who are this four people. I'm apparently not
one of them, all right, Kyle, uh sloop picks Kyle,
I got two games on you last week. I won
the the web picks. I went five for seven last
(17:11):
week against the spread our chat Kyle only got two.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Oh oh out.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Chat chat chat is now you and I are now
tied for first place on the season, and we are
now four games up on chat. Guest picking this week
is sun Card. Now sun Card has one He's the
only multiple winner, multiple week winner in the web picks.
So maybe no pressure sun Card. Uh he can uh
(17:47):
make up some ground.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
For the chat. All right, let's get into it. Let
us start off with our first their first pick here,
and that is Missouri and Alabama Nune kickoff in Missouri
(18:09):
where Alabama is a three and a half point favorite.
Why don't you kick us off? Jared? Who do you
have in this one?
Speaker 1 (18:18):
I have to go first.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
I flipped the coin.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
And so you did. You didn't flip shit? No, I
don't care. Yeah, I'm ill. I still think Alabama I
think is weirdly underrated right now because they're being compared
(18:42):
against Alabama. This is not Nick Saban's Alabama anymore. But
that's okay, Like they can still just be very very good,
and I think Alabama is still very very good. Yeah again,
I think the only reason people are down in Alabama
(19:03):
is because they're comparing them against Alabama. Like, and I
think it's really that simple. Uh, three and a half
points against Missouri not enough? Give me Alabama?
Speaker 2 (19:19):
I think Missouri will cover this. I think Missouri is
Missouri's sneaky good. I think they're sneaky good here. They
they're they're right there in the hunt for the for
the sec they they're undefeated right now. I I like
what I I like what I've seen so far from uh,
(19:40):
from Missouri here. Their quarterback is one of one of
the most highest completion that's the what I'm looking for,
a highest completion quarterback in the country. He's he's thrown
for seventy six percent already this year in almost twelve
hundred yards. H Yeah, I like Missouri. I think I
(20:01):
think they may be able to move the ball. This
may may be a shootout here, So I'll take Missouri
here at home.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
If it's a shootout that favors Missouri, I would say,
mm hmm, low scoring affair would favor Bama. Who does
sun card jack?
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Some cars here says Bama's rival is the Tigers. So
I'll take Missouri to win outright, but I'll take I'll
take the hook on the three and a half to help.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
That's fair. So some cards going with you on that one, right?
Speaker 2 (20:41):
All right? Next up here, Texas and Oklahoma, Uh, the
this one. This one's really this one's really interesting because
in this one, Texas is favored in the Red River
(21:04):
Rivalry by two and a half points. I'm gonna go
u U I'll pick this one here, and I I'm
honestly confused. I guess there's something I'm missing.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
M H.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
I'll take I'll take.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
The Sooners in this one here, like you're you're handicapping
the Sooners here? Who who I think is the better team?
And they'll they'll win this one in my opinion, And
there's an outside chance probably just it's probably just out
there just to get Texas to just to prepare. But
there's there's talks about there that matter or mayor excuse me,
(21:46):
maybe playing in this game.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Yeah, we'll see about We'll see you about the quarterback situation.
Here's the thing. We just emptiered. We just emptiered Texas.
We've made our opinion on Texas non MH.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
But but I knew that was coming.
Speaker 1 (22:17):
I also don't think Oklahoma is very good. That I
just I think that they are in all. I don't
like their offense, I like their defense. I don't like
their offense. They're one of many teams near the top
who have a very good defense but are totally unimpressive
to me on offense. So I don't like either of
(22:41):
these teams. To be clear, I don't think either of
these teams are very good. That being so screw it.
Give me the underdog, all right, and I think.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Some cards here says who decided to play this game
each year in one team state and never play in
the other.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
It is North Texas to be.
Speaker 2 (23:04):
Fair, Yeah, he says Texas with the bounce back.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
I don't hate the pick honestly.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
Yeah, Texas is a huge state.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Monstrous, one could argue too big.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
Next up, It's kind of funny because I believe where
they play though, Jared, it's actually closer yes to Oklahoma
University than it is in Texas.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, No. My understanding is that that is
a very like fifty to fifty Oklahoma, you know, Sooner
fans versus Texas fan area.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
So Toledo.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
Yeah, it's kind of like playing in Toledo or playing
in Cincinnati, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (24:02):
It's yeah, I got.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
You, Yeah, all right.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
Oregon hosting the uh let me, let me, let me
get ready for this hosting the UH the Wooers of Indiana. Yeah,
the Ducks are seven and a half point favorite at home.
Who do you got? Do you got the Hoosiers or
(24:28):
the Ducks?
Speaker 1 (24:29):
So first thing to note, it is challenging, and this
is not this is not like a bad body clock
game for Indiana. They're still playing at three point thirty.
They're just playing it on the West coast. But I
think the travel traveling west east, Eastern teams traveling west,
(24:52):
and Western teams traveling east. It's it's almost like there's
a little bit more. There's a little bit that it
just whatever that three and a half point is that
the home team gets. I think it's a little bit
more for these these these long travels. Oregon, as Kyle says,
(25:13):
favored by seven and a half. But Kyle, not enough,
give me the Ducks.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Yeah, give me the Ducks too. That's not enough, not
enough points, scare me. I got the Ducks at home.
Tough playing in Eugene. Yeah, give me the Ducks.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Some cards guards say.
Speaker 2 (25:42):
This one is sneaky, but I got Indiana keeping it
close enough to take advantage of the seven and a
half point.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
All right, all.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Right, next up here Texas A and M and Kyle
Field hosting Florida, coming off that big, big win over Texas,
trying to make it two in a row, over over
a Texas team here at night game seven o'clock, and
(26:18):
the Aggies are a seven and a half point favorite. Yes, team,
Kyle Field, My pick seven and a half is not
enough to scare me, not enough to scare me here.
I think I think Florida is going to come off
their high here and come back down to come back
to earth here. I got the Aggies covering seven and
(26:40):
a half.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
You know, maybe I'm delusional. Maybe I'm riding off of
the high of last week. Maybe it's because I don't
like Texas A and M that much. I don't think
that they're worthy of the number five slot. I'm gonna
(27:09):
I'm gonna go Florida here. I don't know if they
win it or not. But it's seven and a half,
so we're six and a half or five and a half,
I might be, but it's seven and a half. I'm
gonna take Florida.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
All right. Dunk Card says, no logic here, but give
me Florida seven and a half. Because college football. Yeah
over under Lagway picks four.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
He took Florida.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Yeah, he picked Florida as well. Ze Spikes asks over
under oln Lagway picks set up four under let's just
say three and a half? Yeah, under, but but funny.
Auburn and Georgia is our next one. Another night game
here seven thirty and Auburn hosting is a three and
(28:12):
a half point dog to the dogs of Georgia. Yeah,
who do you got in this one? Jared? You got
Georgia covering or you got Auburn potentially with the upset
or being really close.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
I think there's a very real possibility Auburn gets the
upset here. Georgia is obviously flawed. You know, they losed Alabama,
but they always losed Alabama. That's just kind of what
they do.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
What was it eleven of the last twelve or something
like that.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
I don't think it's that bad.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
There's either eleven or twelve, eleven out of twelve or
ten out of eleven. It's one of those two.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
Is it that bad? Okay? I thought it was like
one in eight or something like that. But maybe, but
you might be right.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
The Winsipedia, Yeah, God, I love Winsipedia so much.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
It's not even a joke. That might have come up
that may have come across the sarcastic or a joke,
but it's not. I love Winsipedia so much.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
Yeah, it's they have it. Georgia has not won well,
they okay, they won in twenty twenty one, they won
a twenty twenty one in the National Championship Game. But
before then, two thousand and seven, yeah, uh.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Twenty twenty one season, twenty twenty two calendar year. Just
I had to say it, Kyle, I'm sorry, that's just me,
but yeah, I get Georgia is still very very good
football team. Like, let's be very clear about that. Georgia
is still a Yeah, I know, I'm me. They're still
(29:58):
a very very good football team. I think they're still
one of the better teams in the country three and
a half points over unranked Auburn, who, to Auburn's defense,
is really good at losing closely. There, Auburn is very
good at losing close football games. But I'm I'm gonna
(30:18):
I'm gonna take Georgia.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Yeah, I'll pick I'll pick Georgia. I'll pick Georgia as well.
If their last game indicates how close they'll be, they'll
lose by six or seven points. So yeah, three and
a half. Yeah, I'll pick Georgia.
Speaker 1 (30:35):
Dare I say, Franklin, ask no? Because they lose very
close football teams to or very close football games to everyone,
not just good teams.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
Some card, alright, some card says here, same same lack
of logic here, I'll take Auburn at three and a half.
All right, all right, USC hosting those cheaters up north
team uh seven point thirty kickoff and the Trojans of
(31:14):
South carol South Carolina, Southern California. Wow, is a two
and a half point favorite.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
I'm going to disown you for thinking that that was
the game cost.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
I believe it. I believe it is. My pig here.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Exactly, spikes exactly.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
I don't even know how to I don't even know
how to respond to.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
That, because he's right. You don't know how to respond
because he's right. You have lived in the South for
too long time to come home, Kyle, before you before,
I've heard you, I've heard you combine your ease in
your eyes too many times. It's time to come home.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
All right. I got I got the Trojans. I got
the Trojans here.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
You need protection from us, same logic, as what I've
said before about teams in the Eastern time zone traveling
out west.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
They are now four and fourteen. It's four and fourteen
or four and fifteen. Right now, I'm going to add
one more to that lost column for Eastern time zone
Big ten teams going to the West coast Trojans. I
(32:41):
just copy and paste what Kyle said, all right, and
some Card says Michigan did not cover last week, and
for that fatal flaw, I'm taking USC at two and
a half. Honestly, fare It is the first yeah pick
that we've we've agreed on it.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
And what a shock it was going against Michigan. Where guys,
we aren't Homer's here, we promise. All right, let's see
if we all pick Ohio State. All right, no analysis? Well,
let Sun Card do analysis. But you and I, if
you want to hear analysis on Illinois versus Ohio State,
(33:23):
you have to listen to know your enemy, which comes
out on Thursday. So you and I no analysis, straight
pick Ohio State minus fifteen and a half.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Who do you have in Champagne. Well, I'm gonna I'll
start off with Sun Card. I'll start off with some
cards Sun Card says, here, I'm watching this game and
comparing Ohio State to Indiana. Who's yours one? Big? So
Bucks can win bigger go Bucks? And Kyle yes, Jared,
(33:58):
who do you have? Who do you have? Jared?
Speaker 1 (34:01):
I have a High State? I uh huh agree too much? Pause?
Speaker 2 (34:14):
I agree not enough? He says it's not enough, not enough.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
We were actually asked during the social screen. I think,
I think Austin asked us. He goes, you know, what
do you think the line will be for Ohio State
next week? I said, like twenty twenty one, which is
what the number would have to be to tempt me
to pick Illinois. I think Ohio State wins by Actually
(34:41):
I think o High State wins by more than twenty one.
But like, what would I actually put money on my
limit gets? I would start to hesitate if it went
above twenty one and a half. You get to twenty
two and a half, twenty three and a half. But
at fifteen?
Speaker 2 (34:57):
What did I say, Jared?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Oh my bad, sorry, Spikes. Well, we're talking just about
the line here. We're talking strictly about the line the game.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
When did I say that what I thought the line
was going to be?
Speaker 1 (35:12):
No? No, no, you nailed it, you said fifteen or
sixteen and a half.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
I did it, chat Ching, all right. That is the
sweet picks wide range, wide range. So expect some some
separation between three of us because all three of us you, Jared, Me,
and Sun Carter are all tied at with twenty two points.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
That's right, Okay, Kyle, one more segment than we can
end the show. Time for chaos theory. This is a
game in which we pick an unranked team to defeat
a ranked team. Last week, chat chose Mississippi State to
pull the upset. That did not work out. Kyle and
(35:55):
I both picked Cincinnati. We both scored, so chat Chat
still has not successfully scored points here. So Kyle and
I extended our leads. Kyle now has forty points. I know,
(36:16):
thirty points Chat zero. Come on, guys, now the Sun
card has it?
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (36:22):
Don paste that into the notes?
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Nope?
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Shoot, okay, Kyle, who do you have? My mine's already
written in, so let us know who you have For
chaos theory, I'll grab Sun cards.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
Ah, he said, I've got, I've got. Without seeing anybody here,
I'm going to go with based on the the swoop
picks here I'll pick the Trojans of USC and that
would be I fine looking here fifteen, so that would
(36:59):
be eleven points.
Speaker 1 (37:05):
Uh and a Sun Card agrees with you.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Are you typing cart or no?
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Oh no, no, no okay, I was yeah, no, everything's fine,
everything's fine.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Sun Card also chooses USC. I'll just go ahead and
uh do a quick copy and paste.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Got be paste there, get all slide control see control
V and who do you got JR?
Speaker 1 (37:37):
That's correct, I have as. I just go to unhide
it here. Texas a twenty banger.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
If I pull it off, I would be that would
be a big banger there.
Speaker 1 (37:57):
Yeah, I was, I was tempted. I was tempted to
pick Florida as very tempted to pick Florida because it
was just one more point. It was just one more point.
(38:19):
I was very tempted. But I just I liked Texas's
chances a little bit more than I like Florida's chances,
which is weird because Texas is actually favored by two
and a half and Florida's dogged by seven and a half.
So Vegas likes Texas like nine more points in their
matchup than me. But I think they're about even, but
(38:43):
maybe it's a little bit towards Texas. I was tempted
to take North Texas. We were tempted to put North
Texas into If this week's schedule had been as bad
as last week's schedule, the North Texas game would have
made it into the slot picks. But this this week
has just got too many dang bangers and we couldn't
(39:04):
fit that Friday night group of five matchup into the
slut picks unfortunately. But yeah, it's this I'm looking forward
to this week. I said it in the Discord Server
at one point this week that I think there there
are ten very legitimate opportunities for chaos this week. There
(39:30):
is a lot of ranked teams playing playing pretty decent,
pretty good unranked teams this week. So this could be,
uh what's already been a pretty chaotic year, this this
could be a banger of a week this week. It
really could be.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
M hm, yes, sir, right, I think that's it. Any
anything else, jeered, No, sir, I.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Think that's it. Yeah, that's it. That's the end of
the show. Kyle. Do you have anything in Kyle's corner?
Speaker 2 (40:10):
Yeah, some big news, Yeah, there is for you Columbus folks.
For those I can't get enough football, The UFL has
the Columbus Aviators coming to town next year.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Old fans super og fans of the Sloop Cast may
or may not remember a time, and this was when
they were I want to say it was twenty nineteen.
They were talking about relaunching the Arena Football League in Columbus.
And there's talk like, oh, we're going to bring back
the Destroyers or blah blah blah. And I was like, no,
(40:53):
let's do something Columbus. I actually laid out a whole thing.
And when I did that, I said the pilots, and
I lay out this whole thing about why it should
be the pilots. I even made a logo which you
can buy on a T shirt at seven zero seven
(41:15):
one at the sloop cast dot com. They went to
aviators instead of pilots. I'll take it. I'll take it.
I'll take it. I like it. I like the Aviators.
They don't like that the colors remind me of of
(41:38):
of the Tennessee Titans. That's that's my one complaint. That's
my one sure.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Cool, that's it.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
That's all I got scared, all right, Uh, just like on.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
Monday's episode, they will be playing in Historic Creuse Stadium
by the way, this Historic cru Stadium. Yes, I still
like Historic cru Stadium.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
Even Historic Crew Stadium's kind of like the car, like
one of the first cars you had. Yeah, a piece
of it's kind of a piece of shit, but you
still love it classic, but you still love it even
though it's kind of a piece of shit. That's how
I feel about Old cru Stadium. But yeah, it's it's
(42:26):
kind I kind of think of it in the same
way that Ohio State fans think of Saint John's.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Yeah, that's a good analogy.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
Yeah, it may be a piece of shit, but I
love it.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
All right.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
Tonight's ending music. Just like on Monday, we brought to
you by a band called The Old Breed. They like
all of the show. All of the songs we play
on the show are from Ohio. So you can check
out The Old Breed. There's a link in the show notes. YouTubers,
you guys don't don't actually get the songs because of
copyright stuff. The podcast listeners do, but YouTube people if
(43:05):
you feel left out, there's a link in the show
notes uh that will take you direct to the song
and you can listen to it there. So I thought
that being said, liked encourage everyone to drink local birre,
listen to local music, and of course wors local podcasters.
Once again, this is the old breath.
Speaker 4 (43:31):
No idee credit time set. Remember I wouldn't be a

early another thinking. The matter went across the flooding brow
