Speaker 1 (00:00):
H Bakers up sells at full open to the sleep,

(00:40):
Cassady doing to the cow do that?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Dearic Powell?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
Tate Week?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Are you doing today?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Tate Week? And you know what, I'm not screwing around
Ryan Day.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
He is.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
He's learned his lesson. He's not going to be timid.
He's gonna play his game. He's not gonna screw around.
He's gonna do what he does every other game of
the week. He's focused, he's laser focused. He's he's he's engaged.

(01:14):
Don't play scared. And I tell you what, watching Buckeye
Nation this week the way I do. Buckeye fans are
playing scared. Oh what if? Oh what about? Oh? Don't
say we're definitely gonna win, because then you'll curse it.

(01:38):
High State It's definitely gonna win. Oh my god, did
he just say yeah? I just said it, High State.
It's definitely gonna win.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
High State's winning this football game. Hi State's going to
the Big Ten Championship game where they will place Indiana,
and they will defeat Indiana. I said place. I think
I meant to say play and they will beat Indian
and then it's time for the playoffs. I'm not afraid
to say it. I'm not playing scared either. Also, like,

(02:10):
just for the record, nothing you'd unless unless unless a
player or coaches is listening to this right now, nothing
you do will affect the outcome of the game. Just
just sorry, sorry to sorry, sorry to break your illusion
or you are you know, superstition or whatever. But like, uh,

(02:33):
your favorite T shirt doesn't help. What I say on
this podcast doesn't help or hurt. Uh. It's up to
the players, It's up to the coaches. But most importantly,
oh Histin is gonna win this game, and I'm not
gonna be telling about it. I'm not scared.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
I think I think what a lot of fans are
worried about is last year was by far, Yeah, the
more talented team.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
That was a worse Michigan, that was a worst Michigan
team than Ohio State will face the Saturday correct.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Yeah, And I think that's why there's a lot of
fans that's still worried and ununderstandably too. I mean, I
hate to say it, but I mean the truth is
that I would say it has not won this game
and quite a few years Michigan's won it. The last
four years here it's I can understand why buck Eye

(03:31):
fans are worried. I can understand why Buckeye fans are skeptical.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Sure, I understand it.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
And we sat here almost a year ago, Jared, almost
a year ago now, yeah, saying we are no longer
coach Day sympathizers. And I still I'm still I'm still
supporting that though there's no there's no excuses, no excuses anymore. Nope,
still support Ryan Day because and I still think he's

(04:03):
the right coach yep for this program.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
But there's no no more excuses, none, zero. Correct, you
used all your moriument on.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Us, Yeah, yeah, no, But I also just I just
everything you said is correct. And I understand where the
anxiety is coming from. It's not like it's not like
I don't understand. I get it. I understand where it's
coming from. I'm just choosing not to play scared here. Yeah,

(04:33):
I end simply choosing not the play scared. We ask
Ryan Day, not the play scared. I'm not gonna play scared.
I'm not gonna do this podcast scared. I'm not gonna Oh,
I'm afraid to say something that's gonna curse the blah
blah blah blah blah. I don't believe in curses. I
don't believe I have control over the game, and I'm

(04:55):
not gonna go about this timidly. Every other podcast we
have on this year, Kyle, except maybe for Texas, and
that was when we we we thought that arch Manning
was actually good, so that that that's on us are bad.
But every other game this year, we've gone into know

(05:17):
your enemy with unashamed confidence every other time, unashamed confidence.
Let's let's get to know So I'm going to go
into this game with unashamed confidence. Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
So let's let's get into this then here, Jared, let's
let's talk about this. This Michigan team. Here, h true
freshman quarterback Bryce Orderwood from Detroit, Michigan hometown home, hometown candidate. Here,

(06:01):
very talented. I mean, I'm not going to sit here
and say he's he's a terrible quarterback. He's a freshman. Understandably,
he's sixty two percent. Not only nine touchdowns, Jared, which
is what is really interesting. See here he's only throw
nine touchdowns and three five picks here, very mobile quarterback

(06:22):
has five touchdowns on the ground. Here, but I think
what really concerns me as a Buckeye fan looking at
the offense of side for Michigan is their offensive line,
no matter who they put in at running back, no
matter who they put in, the running backs have big

(06:43):
holes to be able to get their running backs through.
So it doesn't doesn't matter if it's if it's Justin
Hayes who's out, Jordan Marshall who's questionable, I expect him
to play, or if it's upright, or if it Bryson
as well, Like Bryson got in there, I know he'll play.

(07:04):
I know. But if I was just saying Kudzel, they
it doesn't matter who they put in. Like, the offensive
line is making the big holes, and that's that's a
big concern that we're not concerned. That's the one where
I would have as a Buckeye fan is being able
to stop Michigan's run because Jared, every single year, and

(07:30):
I mean every single year, the team who has ran
the most mm HM as well has had the most
rushing yards per rush ended up winning has won the game.
When was the last time that did not happen? Where

(07:52):
the team who had the most rushing yard it's a self.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
It's a self fulfilling thing. I don't what what you're
what you do? You guys think it is you, Jared
and anybody else in the chat. When was the last
time that happened that the team with the most rushing yards.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Lost in this matchup?

Speaker 3 (08:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
You gotta go back way back to the year two thousand.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Okay, the whole the team who runs better wins the
game is a statistical misnomer because the team who is
winning runs the ball to to run the clock. M

(08:48):
it's running the ball equals winning games. Is actually winning
games equals running the ball. Yep, that means that's my
take on it. Like I understand, and you know what, Like.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
It's very simple. It's it's it's a very football. Football
is so complicated, but it's very simple. In this matchup,
you rush more than your team than your opponent. Hey,
I'm just going to win the team.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
I'm just gonna straight up say this. That's literally what
Ryan Day tried to do last year. You're you're literally
repeating the mistake that Ryan Day did last year was
to try to force run the ball instead of utilizing.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
I'm not saying to force rush it I'm not saying
that the team who's able to run the ball ends
up winning the game. I'll stay averaged three yards of pop.
But you know, like Michigan did not even try to pass.
If you remember, like they only threw the ball sixty
two yards, only through the ball sixty two yards, and

(10:01):
that's because they were getting it done on the ground,
extending those plays and it was just demoralizing Ohio State
because they could not get the ball back enough to
be able to score, to score any points just because
they just a clock killer, clock killer. But you know what,
that's what Ohio State's doing this year. Ohio State is
the clock killer right now. They are they are. Oh

(10:27):
I wish I could find that number because I remember
Austin and I talking about this. I think it was
just the other day about Ohio State being like dead
last in like third down attempts and fourth down attempts,
but yet they're like number one and number two in

(10:51):
terms of like efficiency and all that. But that's just
what Ohio State needs to do. They just need to
continue being efficient here because if they can't, I mean,
this is gonna be the first time since Week one
where they're going to have to get out of their
comfort zone here. But I have all the faith. I
have all the faith and Ryan Day here and what I.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Have all the faith this year to not try to
force a square into a square peg into a round
hole and try to run the ball when you have
the best two wide receivers in college football and disappear
your quarterback in the game. Sure, because it's literally what

(11:36):
he did last year. And that's what I think where
I don't I know you were excited about this stat, Kyle,
but I don't give a shit like I think trying
to make the run game happen when the run game
isn't happening has been when the Ohio State offense has

(11:56):
looked the worst this year, but.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
When it's only happened once since the it's a self
fulfilling prophecy.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
It's a self fulfilling prophecy. It's the team that it's
not running the ball well. Doesn't equal winning. Winning equals
running the ball well. It means you're winning in time
of possession. It means you're running the ball more late,
which is when you can run the ball better because
people are tired. And like, if you want to get

(12:26):
if you want to get as Esquire saying here, if
you want to outscore him first and then rush them
into the ground after you have a lead, cool because
that's where that stack comes from. That stack comes from
clock killing late in a game and getting your first downs.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
On some other notes here, I think it's gonna be
a big, big factor though, so their full back slash
tight end, Max Bredison doubtful, probably going to play. He
was in a boot that is last weekend.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
That's huge.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
That that that to me, I think it's it's huge.
Rob Moore on the on this as a safety is
also Bige as well being out as well. Those two
in particular are the big ones any of the running
backs or anything else.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
It's if Justice Hayes, Justice Hayden's special back. He's been
out for several weeks now, so you know, and he's
been out for several weeks. And Jordan Marshall, who didn't
play last week but we'll certainly play this week, almost
certainly played this week, is also really good. So like it.

(13:43):
The the fall off isn't that bad. But Haines is
a special running back. But you look at the stat lines,
and this is where stats can also fail you. Max
Bredson doesn't mean anything to Michigan if you just look

(14:04):
at the stat lines, unless, of course, you're looking at
the stat lines of Jordan Marshall and the stat lines
of Justice Haynes and the stat lines of Bryson Kudzel,
Because that's one of the best lead blockers I've seen,
uh since lead blockers were phased out of the game
a couple decades ago. He's a classic I form lead

(14:27):
blocking fullback and he's an expert at it. Because, like
we're all very used to the idea over the past
few years that Michigan's. Michigan has these big, dominant offensive linemen.
And I'm not saying that their offensive line is bad
by any means. It's it's good. It's a very good
offensive line. But when you saw, like because they they

(14:53):
break they have they have a very one of the
more explosive running games I've seen in a long time.
They break a lot of law runs. They and a
lot of that had to do with Breadson. A lot
of that had to do with Breadson. Yeah, not having
him again, if you just look at the stat lines,

(15:16):
you're not gonna appreciate how big of a loss that is.
Not having him is huge but I guess if we're
talking about injuries for a moment, JJ is gonna play.
I'll just say that plainly. I have all the confidence
in the world. Jeremih Smith's gonna play. I feel confident,

(15:39):
but not nearly as confident the Carnal Tate's gonna play.
I feel good about that. I don't feel great about that.
I don't necessarily have. I feel fairly confident that elder

(15:59):
Styles is gonna play. Probably somewhere in between those two.
From being honest, probably somewhere in between those two, I
think older Styles is gonna play. And like when you
were like worried, like any a lot of Buckeyes Buckeye
fans were like, you know, why aren't we blowing out teams?
Why aren't we doing big, big, big big, and like

(16:23):
this is why this is Listen to what we were
just talking about. From an injury standpoint, O highest state
relative to most teams in the country, including Michigan, is
a very healthy football team. I know we've been very
focused on injuries lately, but as far as starters are concerned,

(16:47):
as far as big time contributors are concerned, you have
two guys who will probably play and that that's who
you're missing from this team, all from the from of

(17:08):
all of your players. That's why Ryan Day has been
shortening games straight up. That's why he's been doing it.
Look how healthy this team is. When we just went
over again, Justice Hayines out, Rod Moore out, Bredson out.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
They're leading the leading, they're leading tackler Ernest Hausman and
probably know what's going to happen.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Well, we'll say we'll say fifty to fifty. We'll say
fifty to fifty.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
I don't know, there's a lot, there's a lot of
things kind of like circling around like what's what's going
on with him? I don't know. I don't know the
full details or whatever.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
Me either that, So let's just say fifty to fifty.
Jordan Marshall will probably play smash more in will we'll play.
But you know, it's it's it's it's a lot of
injuries for them. Mm hmm. That This is why Ryan

(18:15):
Day has been shortening games. It's not a this is
not a bad Michigan team. It's you talk about Bryce Underwood.
I think Bryce Underwood is insanely talented. I think he's

(18:37):
a lot of high state fans like to make fun
crap on him whatever. I think Bryce Underwood is insanely talented.
I think if he ever gets a coach that teaches
him how to accurately throw a ball that isn't on
a rope, he'll be dangerous because when he's slinging the ball,

(18:59):
and he and sling the ball, dude has a cannon
for an arm. When he's slinging the ball, he's great.
When he has to put a little touch on it,
or float it, or do anything other than put a
rocket booster up its ass, he struggles. I'll say also

(19:25):
that Michigan has struggled as far as receiving is concerned
all season except for lately. Look at it who they
play and Andrew Well, I think Andrew Marsh is a
true freshman who's come on recently. And yeah, yes, yes, yes,

(19:48):
you can talk about the competition level for sure, but
I think Andrew Marsh is legitimately very He has looked
really good the past few weeks.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
I'll say that, yeah, I mean, it's it's definitely, it's
definitely something to worry about for the next couple of years.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
With Ohio State and receivers over the next few years.
Yeah for sure, Yeah, for sure over the next few years.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:13):
I don't think either of them or anything Ohio State
can't handle this year. Also say this about Bryce Underwood.
He holds the ball too much.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
He does. Yeah. So as long as our corners our
safeties can can lock down the receivers and make them
hold that ball for an extra second, I think that's
going to be the difference maker. Right there is getting
well really it's not the difference maker. But when passing,
that's that's gonna be huge. It's gonna be huge for

(20:44):
a hosting The difference maker is it's going to be
just stopping stopping Michigan running the ball. That's yeah, that's
that's what it's too. They are number ten in the
country in rushing yards per game two hundred and twenty
four yards.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
That's a lot.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
That's a lot of yards in a in a football game,
especially in today's age. And yet that's only number ten
in the country, and there are number six in rushing
yards per rush. So whenever they are running, they're they're
doing it really well. They're averaging a whole yard more
per rush than Ohio State is right.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Uh, just because I found the stat they're middle of
the road in the country as far as the number
of sacks they give up, they are number sixty nine.
Nice they they give up a sack on almost six
percent of their plays, and their offensive line is better

(21:44):
than that. It Yeah, it's it's because Underwood holds the
ball too much. And something else you want to talk
about in do you know your enemy section?

Speaker 2 (22:05):
If you look at the defensive stats there, Jared, it's
just so it's just it's so funny. I'm just gonna
take just a screenshot and put we put it back
on here, Jared, just selling the chat here. It's just amazing.
Just just take it in about how great this Hot
State defense has been here. Number one points per game,

(22:28):
points per play, yards per game, yards per play, passing
yards per game, passing yards per pass like just and
then number three in rushing yards per game and rushing
yards per rush. Just an absolute just unit of a unit. Yeah,
and in Michigan, and Michigan's really good too, like thirteenth

(22:52):
in points per game, thirteenth, they're like like right there
in the teams or even like ten and nine, and
a lot of the major stats here, So it's going
to be I really think this is going to be
a defensive struggle unless Ohio State finds a way to

(23:13):
break Michigan's defense. Here, I think I will say that
the over under is but I'd probably take the under here. Yeah,
forty four and a half points, I take the under.
I take the under.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
I'll say this, if you look at their passing yards
per game forty fifth in the country, rushing yards per
game ninth in the country. Trying to run on them
for the sake of running on them, I think is

(23:47):
a mistake. You got the best two wide receivers in
the country, you have the best freshman quarterback in the country.
Sluing it. This is what we've been preparing for all year,

(24:08):
sling it. This is the super Bowl. If we also
win a national championship year this year, great awesome. Happy.
If we win the Big Ten this year, great awesome happy.
But this is the super Bowl this year.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
All right, I think that's it. We'll go ahead and
take our first a break and get to more of

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Esquire says, as far as his what he thinks, Ohio states,
offense should do a ton of quick hitters to the
outside set saying saying in rhythm, get the defense running latterly,
and get the ball in the hands of playmakers. Don't
to put don't put too much on the offensive line.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
I agree, I think you need to play to your strengths,
and I agree, Jared you need to don't and that
that was one thing that so frustrating last year. And
I understand why you said, Jared, to not force it.
Don't force to run and all that. But when I
State tried to run the run the ball last year,
they did it right at Michigan's strength. It was like

(26:14):
it was like Ryan Day was trying to prove a
point and say, I'm going to run it at I'm
going to run it right at your strength when you
run it, And I think when you run it you
can like not do it at their strength, you can
bring it out wide like and I and I think
it has had success with some of the zone read rushes.

(26:35):
I think Bo Jackson has done an exceptional job with that,
and Wes has come along as of recent as well,
being able to extend extend the extend the plays wide
there or or of course getting into your your talented
UH first round receivers future first round receivers as well too.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Can I can I before we move on? Can I
add one quick thing to the add portion of the show?
Check out our check out our tenor page, which is
the service that does emojis or not emojis, gifts and
a lot of people's apps and keyboards and whatnot. So
if you if you have an application that has a

(27:23):
built in gift thing, search sloop cast. You'll find some stuff,
or you can go to the tenor page at gifts
dot the sloop caast dot com, So find that link
at the sloopcast dot com. All right, that's it. That's
I just I added a bunch of new stuff to
there recently.

Speaker 2 (27:38):
That's it, all right, Jared, Let's let's kick us off
with some sloop stare. So, first off, Ohio State player
to watch? Who you think is the player to watch
for Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
You have a lot of options on offense, especially if
tape plays. You gotta win up front, Julian saying has
to you know, return to form. I don't put his
quote unquote struggles over the past couple weeks strictly on him,
So that's not you know, but you know, see the

(28:18):
hymn that we saw more through October in the beginning
of November. A lot of things you can say on offense,
but ultimately, if Ohio State wins this game, it's because
the defense will keep doing what the defense has been
doing all year. The offense will get its points. How
pretty things will look getting those points, I don't know

(28:40):
how many points, not totally sure. If you want to
win this game, you have to stop Michigan's running game
period and put it in. You know, one guy on
that defense, one guy on that defense was given the
block out. One guy on that defense is well not

(29:05):
not one guy in this case, but this one guy
is a Columbus kid Pickerington more specifically coming with that
same fire that we saw from Jack Sawyer last year.
That guy is Sunny Styles.

Speaker 2 (29:24):
Yeah, that's I think. I think that's a good pick.
And I'm kind of thinking more of the seam line
of stopping the Michigan running attack and who else than
the then the man in the middle there, the man
who is who has a finalist for the outline Award here.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
And if you're talking about who, I think you're talking
about a guy who I've seen started to pop pop
up in the first round of some mock drafts.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Mister Cayden McDonald. Yeah, big body, big body right in
the middle. If he can just stuff that middle there,
make Sony Styles come up in easier time for him
to make those tackles.

Speaker 3 (30:14):
Free up, Sunny Styles absolutely.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Free yep, absolutely yeah, or even Caleb Downs being able
to come down and help out with the run stop
as well too. I think Caiden McDonald is going to
have a monster game and being able to stop the
run here.

Speaker 3 (30:33):
I also think that you have a mobile quarterback in
Bryce Underwood and Sunny Styles along with Reese. Of course,
you know we'll probably be doing some spying this Saturday.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
All right, enemy player to watch Jared.

Speaker 3 (30:54):
Jordan Marshall period with with with Haines out, he's their
premier running back. That's the guy you got to shut down.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Mm hmm. I I think that was gonna be my
pick as well too. I know I mentioned earlier that
no matter what run running back you put in there,
I think they'll the offensive line has done good no
matter who who's in there. But yeah, marsh Marshall was
very talented running back, and this Michigan team will be

(31:32):
successful depending on how how well he's able to run
the ball. Key matchup like defensive line for Ohio State
and the offensive line for Michigan. It's it's that simple.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
I'll say linebackers just to be different, but sure, yeah,
I mean you're right, yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
All right? In the spread, ten and a half points
was the was the line that CBS Pickam put it.
It is down to nine nine and.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
A half now, okay, uh Kyle on you Shursday's episode
yeah on Thursday's episode. This is Thursday's episode.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Yep, Jared did pick the Buckeyes to win and cover,
and I picked the buck Eyes to win but not cover.
And I have I have.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
I was shocked, I was floored. I have you ever
Have you ever heard me in stunned silence on this
show in ten years? Okay, because that's that's where I
was at, stunned silence.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
I have Ohio State winning twenty one Michigan thirteen.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Yeah, no, I got it. I got it thirty one
to ten. And that touchdown comes late. That's a that's
a that's a that's a backup. It is a second
string defensive touchdown, not you know what you know what
I mean, a second.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
String makeup for that one that should have counted last weekend.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
No no, no, no, I said defensive touchdown. No uh
it a touchdown against the second string defense. Okay is
what I meant again, kind of like you saw last week.
It's just like, Yeah, Michigan, he puts together a decent drive,
gets a field goal. By the way, their kicker, who
is excellent, has been struggling recently. Watch if that comes

(33:39):
into play on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
Yeah, especially that Northwestern game. Yeah, and I know that
I was in Chicago, and Chicago being the windy city.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
Sure, but and in one well, one of the ones
in Chicago was from sixty yards out, but the other
one was a chip shot.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
It was a chip shot. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
And and he's uh maybe had his confidence shaken a
tad bit since then, as he's not looked great since then.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
Sure, And our guest, our guest picker, uh Sun Card
picked the Buckeyes thirty five to fourteen.

Speaker 3 (34:12):
All right, cher, only way I see them getting fourteen
points is if they break a long run and the again,
the second touchdown happens, like against the second string defense.
Their first string offense is not getting in the end

(34:34):
zone twice against Ohio State's first string offense, I will
say that I will, I will die on that hill.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Wait how many times has that? How many times has
that happened?

Speaker 3 (34:46):
I don't care how many times it's happened. These two teams.
These I'm a signette you right now, these two teams.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
That was the point I was trying to trying to
make though, Oh sorry, it's only happened once that a
team has scored two touchdowns on the first team defense.
Illinois Penn State. Penn State scored fourteen points in the

(35:16):
first half.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
That's right, that's right, that's right, that's.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Right, Illinois, Illinois.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
Their second touchdown came against the second stringers. Yeah, it
was like with four minutes left in the game. Yeah,
kind of crazy considering Penn State sucks.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Yeah, all right, Jared, ready to do some Austin over unders.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Right, Let's let's do this over unders for the game.
All right? First off, is t ton rushing yards for
the game at one hundred and twenty eight yards. I
will say that they have not yeah and a half,
they have not even come close to that low since

(36:11):
they've only rushed it ninety one yards back in twenty nineteen.
So it's been a long time.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
So you're saying they haven't hit the under on that number,
Sorry for rhyming, Yeah, since twenty nineteen. Yeah wow, Okay,
let me ask you this, has Ohio State given up
one hundred and twenty eight yards rushing this season?

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Oh? I don't know if I could quill that.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
That's a big ask. That's a big ask. Don't worry
about it.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
But but I mean, I will say, like Ohio state
it's only averaging seventy eight yards per game on the ground.
Michigan's ninety four yards on the ground too.

Speaker 3 (36:54):
Defensively. Defensively, yeah, offensively, Michigan is getting basically uh to
twenty four.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Mm hm.

Speaker 3 (37:09):
So that would be one hundred yards off of their
average roughly.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
How many How many yards were you saying, Jared, one
hundred and twenty eight? Yeah, they did it, They did it.
I get Texas rushed it for more. That might be
it that that honestly might might be it there because

(37:36):
there's no.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
Other Texas running that well, not that one. It's a lot.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
Yeah, they rushed it for one hundred and sixty six yards.
They had they had some, they had some, They had
some big plays from time to time.

Speaker 3 (37:52):
I'm gonna I'm gonna go over on this, mostly because
I don't think they're going to get anything done through
the air.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
They only light up more than one hundred yards once
all year.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
I'm gonna I'm gonna go over on this same I've
just the chance that Michigan breaks a really long one
just feels a little too high. And when I say
really long, I don't necessarily mean like eighty yards, but
like you know, forty fifty. But yeah, it just would

(38:27):
make hitting the under on that very difficult. So I'm
gonna go over on this one.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Yeah, I agree, all right, Next stuff is doing Saying
and Underwood total touchdowns at three and a half. I'm
going under.

Speaker 3 (38:45):
I'm going under, and of course we're talking, we're including yeah,
total total touchdown including yeah, yep. So the fact that
the likelihood that Underwood gets a rushing touchdown is decent,

(39:13):
and it's just I'm gonna go over. I think Saying
has a day. I think it's totally plausible that Saying
has four touchdowns or that Saying has three and Underwood
has like a goal line sneak or something to get
into the end zone or even like a decent goal

(39:36):
line run on like a read option or something. It
feels too plausible to me. I'm gonna go over.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
Yeah, I'm going yeap under under for me, and you're
sating you said over. I did, okay, all right? Uh
JJ and Claire receiving yards combined at one hundred and
twenty one and.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
Half over over, over, hit the over, smash the over,
keep hitting the over until the button breaks.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
That's what I want. I want to see Juliet. Yeah,
I want to see Julian SAand and Jeremiah have a
career game. But I'm going under.

Speaker 3 (40:19):
You're high Smith gets this by himself. Having Claire is
just a nice little bonus.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
All right.

Speaker 3 (40:25):
M mccullay catches, Kyle, you're playing scared right now. I
want you to I want you to know you're playing scared.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Right I'm being realistic. Four and a half.

Speaker 3 (40:42):
That feels like a lot. Oh yeah, that feels like
a lot. He's only had thirty two all year.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Second on the team.

Speaker 3 (40:55):
Yeah, second on the team, first on the team. M
is Andrew marsh who's only been getting serious time for
like the past month.

Speaker 2 (41:05):
Four and a half. He's only hit that over once.

Speaker 3 (41:10):
Yeah, thirty over what it's over ten eleven games, thirty.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Two, He's he's he's due for pretty much about three
catches a game, Like, I'm seeing a lot of threes
throughout the throughout the year here, So I think I
think that's a good number.

Speaker 3 (41:37):
I think it's a big number. I'm going under.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
All right, me too, I'll go under, all right. Reese
and Curry combined impact plays, sex tech for losses, fumbles, interceptions,
all that good stuff. Three and a half Reeese and Cree.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
I think it's totally plausible you get like two sacks. Again,
Underwood holds the ball too much. Out of those two players,
it's plausible. It's plausible you get like two sacks, but
more likely you get one. So then you need two more.

(42:22):
I know you need three more to hit the over.
You can probably get a TfL out of each of them.
So there's two more, so you still need another impact play.
It's just it's just it's I don't know big players

(42:43):
in big games. Give me the over.

Speaker 2 (42:51):
I'll go over as well, right and t Ton. Yeah,
this is what's fun tea time total yards in the
fourth quarter, just the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
Yeah, this one's fun.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
Ninety seven and a half yard yards in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (43:14):
This one's funny because if they hit the over on this,
it's bad news for a High State.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
Very bad. So I gotta pick under. I've got to
pick Under.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
Well, let me explain why. I understand that you understand,
but we're podcasting here. This is very bad news for
High State if they hit they over here. Now, I
get that Ohio State has typically given up the most
yards they give up in the fourth quarter again, because
the backup defense is frequently in Yes, if Underwood, if

(43:57):
Michigan's behind, that means Michigan is throwing, which is not
the best Michigan. If Michigan is up, they are running,
and that is the best Michigan. I don't know that
Underwood can effectively throw the ball like that, even against

(44:19):
the backup defense, not with the talent currently around him.
So I think Ohio State can take Andrew marsh out
of the game, leaving the other guys, which isn't good
news for Underwood to have to rely on the other guys.
That's what you got, Jared, let me go under.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Okay, all right, and we have make sure I didn't
miss one. Hope I didn't, all right, all right? And
the last one here styles and Downs combined tackles at

(45:01):
fourteen and a half, I mean, I just we talked
about it about you had styles as your player to
watch and I had McDonald, but you had Styles and
Downs there to clean up as well too.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
Yeah, if they hit, if they it is.

Speaker 2 (45:22):
Fourteen and a half, I almost think that's a good thing.
It means they're running right at them, and Styles and
Downs are making are making plays right at them.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
Then it's a good news if it's Styles getting it.
If Downs, If Downs gets too many of these, it
means that their running backs are getting to the third level.
But maybe not. Styles might play up a decent amount
in this game, but with the amount that Michigan is

(45:58):
going to run the ball, and Styles being see the
leading tackler on the team, he must be right style sis, Yeah, yeah,
I'm gonna go over.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
I'm just gonna I'll go over. I'm gonna go over
as well. All right, Hey, we're tied. We are tied.

Speaker 3 (46:28):
We could still be tied. We We differ on Saying
plus Underwood touchdowns over under three and a half where
I went over and you went under. And on Smith
plus Claire receiving yards where I went over one twenty

(46:49):
one and a half and you went under one twenty
one and a half. Yep, I'm getting you on that
second one for sure, That first one that could go
either way, That second one that's mine.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
All right, all right, cool?

Speaker 3 (47:04):
That is our our long episode here of the game. No,
you're long, We've done worse. Yeah, it is Michigan week.
It's Michigan week. It's worth it. It's worth every second
of it. That being said, though, Kyle, Uh, do you
have anything in Kyle's corner?

Speaker 2 (47:21):
Uh? Now, because I kind of use my my one
stat are ready here? Uh, I'll just I'll just end
it with a quote that Ryan Day said in his
uh and his suppressor earlier today as we were recording Jared. Yeah,

(47:46):
he says, just win funnest, kicking ass, have fun. Let's
let's have fun kick ass.

Speaker 3 (47:55):
Having fun is kicking ass.

Speaker 2 (47:57):
Yeah, well, he says fun, fun is kicking.

Speaker 3 (48:00):
Ass, fun is kicking ass. It's it's very roadhouse, it's
very easy action movie relaxed. He was very relaxed, pressed
the rosie cheek dissassine in his back. I'm telling you
right now, he's not playing scared, unlike somebody I know.

Speaker 2 (48:28):
I'm not playing scared.

Speaker 3 (48:29):
You're playing scared. I have full.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
Confidence that Ryan Day is going to win this, that
House State's going to win this.

Speaker 3 (48:36):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
Full confidence.

Speaker 3 (48:40):
M Who don't you have confidence on? You think Ohio
State's gonna score meager twenty one points?

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Well, see, I hope I'm wrong.

Speaker 3 (48:53):
Okay, all right, that's it. That's the end of today's show.
Tonight's ending music will be to calcarage. With all that
being said, like you heard there were too drink over
for careless and look at the scam.
