IN AN AGE of increasing digital interdependence threatened by nonstop nightly news of breaches and hacks, getting a handle on digital security matters more than ever. However, it seems that almost everyone has their own threat model — and their set of concerns unique to themselves.
The threat is omnipresent eerily similar to relativity, everywhere around you.
We now live with software bugs that present loopholes that are exploited by an increasing volume, and sophisticated actors operating at the tactical edge. This takes an even higher level of sophistication to properly design and deploy integrated defensive deterrence and counter-offensive methods.
Essentially, we are all drowning in data network-flow analysis. One of the few remaining things to do at the tactical edge in a scenario is to look for deep packet analysis patterns while sipping that latte to stay alert.
