It's about discovering who youtruly are and about stepping out
of your patterns and into yourpurpose and your power.
Wherever you are on youralcohol-free or sober curious
journey, this podcast is for you.
So grab yourself your favoritecuppa and come join me in a safe

(00:43):
space to listen, to share andto feel I'm so grateful that
you're here.
Welcome to another episode ofthe Sober Chapters podcast.

(01:08):
So today is incredibly special.
It's very much a long overduechat with an amazing lady.
I first heard her actually onthe Alcohol-Free Vibes podcast,
which was a podcast that was thefirst podcast I was ever on.
And then, when I was listening,I heard Steph on there and you
may know her as this Is StephSober, but things have evolved

(01:31):
and we're going to talk aboutthat today.
But I heard her on theAlcohol-Free Vibes podcast and I
was lying in my bed I rememberit so visibly and she was
sharing all about the numbersthat she sees and her path to
sobriety, and I was like, oh mygoodness, I have to reach out to
this woman, like it felt likeit was almost my story and me

(01:51):
talking.
And so I did.
I reached out to her and we hadsome beautiful chats last year
and I actually thought she wasgoing to be my first ever guest
and then, as we know, withdivine, divine timing, I wasn't
ready to release my podcast.
Steph has since taken a breakfrom Instagram and I was like no
, no, but then out of the blue, because I thought it was going

(02:12):
to be a year out of the blue, asI'm here in LA and all these
things are happening and allthese things are flowing.
I suddenly get a message fromSteph and she was like I'm back
and I was like, oh my gosh, so Iget speak to her.
Today.
I'm in my hotel room in LA andwe have never had a detailed
conversation.
So, this is going to be wild andwe're both really excited.
And before I waffle too much,I'm going to pass you over to

(02:35):
Steph to introduce herself toall of you.
So thank you, steph, over toyou.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Thank you so much, deedee.
I have just been so excitedsince we've planned this.
I was just like counting downthe days I haven't done
podcasting in a while.
So it was like I'm excited Ihad to dust off the microphone
but also just to have thisconversation with you, like as

(03:03):
you were introducing, I'm likewelting up like this.
This is divine timing, like youwere just saying, and we'll
probably get into all of thatspiritual stuff that connects us
.
But, yeah, I'm Steph A lot ofpeople listening to this may
know me from, yeah, my Instagram.
This is stuff sober.

(03:23):
I started that when I was 99days sober as a way to connect,
because I had no one in my lifethat was sober and especially I
didn't have any.
I didn't go to AA.
I didn't feel called to go toAA.
I'm very introverted and I liketo do things on my own terms.
And it was amazing and itevolved into me doing a podcast

(03:47):
of my own called this is StephSober.
And then that evolved into medoing a podcast with Kate Taylor
of Walking the Straight Line, and if you're in the sober world
at all, you know who Kate is.
I mean, she's incredible.
So we did a podcast togethercalled the Sober Effect, and

(04:08):
then I'm trying to sub up myjourney a little bit so people
can catch up to where I'm at.
And then in January, I justneeded to take a step back from
the sober community, and notbecause I felt like I didn't
need them anymore, anything likethat.

(04:28):
Like I mentioned, I'm veryintroverted.
I felt like there was somethingpulling at me and I needed to
take some time for me.
I am very empathetic, I holdspace for other people and so
being on sober Instagram, that'swhat I would do.
You know, I'm messaging people,I'm supporting people, I'm
doing all of those things and Iwas really abandoning myself and

(04:53):
that's something that I reallywork on not doing and trying to
recognize.
So I was going to take a yearoff, but I didn't quite make it
the full year and yeah, and Ijust took some time, like it was
nice, I just really went inwardand read books and did creative

(05:13):
things that I noticed when I doa creative project, it kind of
takes that part of your brainthat's always searching for
answers, right, it's just likewhen you're trying to come up
with something, or like what isgoing on, like what's happening,
what do I need to do.
What's my purpose?
It takes that part of yourbrain and it's like here you

(05:33):
work on that, okay, like youwork on this puzzle or you work
on I crochet, like you work onthis stuff.
And when I noticed, whenever Ido that, then my subconscious
starts to like, talk to me andthat's when, like, the magic
happens for me.
So there was a lot of thatgoing on and so I came out of it
deciding that I want to be aninner wisdom guide.

(05:57):
That's a title I've created formyself.
I have just invested so muchtime and we'll get into that too
Since my spiritual awakening,in these type of things I've
invested time, money.
I am your girl when it comes tothis kind of stuff, because I

(06:17):
just, information is just andI'm very analytical, like that's
it.
And I just feel like it's awaste for me to know all this
and to not spread it and to nothelp people and guide them into
finding their own journeys.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah, oh, love it, Love all of that Amazing.
And I just want to say likegood on you, Like honestly, when
, when I saw that you weretaking a break, like I felt that
like I, I think you know it isamazing to be in.
I felt that, like I understoodthat.
I think you know it is amazingto be in the sober community on
Instagram and it's you know,it's so powerful and so healing
and so many things.

(06:52):
But it can get a lot.
It can get a lot.
Like you know, I was never afan of social media before.
I started sober chapters, likeliterally.
I just really I was really nota big.
I think I had like 200followers on my personal
Instagram like, and I hardlyused it.
So I've had to yeah, I've hadto work through some stuff.
It's actually been a big part ofmy own healing journey going

(07:12):
through that as well.
But I think, yeah, taking thattime to go inwards, because
that's when we come back to ourhearts, we come back to
creativity.
You know our divine feminineand that's when it all flows.
And look what you've birthedout of it.
You know, it was like yourintuition again came in.
You decided to take that break, and then you obviously come out
with this beautiful servicebusiness that you want to bring

(07:36):
out into the world.
So I absolutely love it and Ican't wait to see what happens.
Yeah, I've no doubt we'll endup doing more things together.
I can just feel it fromeverything that you're saying.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
For sure.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
So I mean, I heard a little bit about like the
numbers and a bit about yourspiritual awakening when I
listened to your podcast lastyear, but I'd love for you to
share that with my audience, ifthat's okay, and you know, so
that they can get a bit more ofan idea, because I do believe
that you know being sober andspirit, I call it kind of like
spiritual curiosity and sobercuriosity.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I feel like they go hand in hand, um, and so, yeah,
I'd love to hear yeah, and Iwill say, you can't really dive
deep into spirituality untilthat sobriety piece comes in, um
, because it's a game changer,and I'm sure I'm sure you've

(08:31):
talked about that before, and um, but yeah, so my okay.
So I guess you wanted me tokind of tell my spiritual
awakening story, like yeah, it'slike, um, I remember like
hearing about the numbers Iguess where, where like a
transformation of sorts startedfor you and what you've done
this path.
Yeah yeah.
So my spiritual awakening hasbeen very evolving.

(08:53):
It was never I didn't have apivotal moment where, you know,
it just hit me, like it slowlyevolved into where I'm at today
and I feel like it will continueto evolve.
I don't feel that there's everan end point with our
spirituality.
I think the end point is whenwe're at the end.

(09:14):
You know, it's all aboutlearning life lessons is what I
truly believe.
But how I got there?
I was 33 years old and I waskind of in a place where I was
feeling a bit lost.
I didn't know what I wanted todo with my life, like career

(09:36):
wise.
I felt the pressure which Idon't feel anymore, by the way.
I felt this pressure that I hadto be doing something.
I was a stay at home mom andI'm like I have a lot of women
in my life who have these greatcareers and I used the
comparison method to make myselffeel less than and I was in a

(09:58):
really icky place and I think alot of us get to an icky place
before we awaken, and I thinkthat's kind of the point of the
awakening right.
Like I was just not feelingvery good about myself and I
started noticing the number 34popping up.
Every time I would check theclock, it would be 34 minutes
after the hour, or the number 34would show up on a license

(10:22):
plate or somebody would walk inand they'd have like a sports
jersey on with the number 34.
And at first I'm like, oh, thisis just, you know, in my head.
But then it kept happening andit kept.
The more I tried to resist it,the more it was like in my face.
And I think, like most people, when you see something like that

(10:45):
and you think it's spiritual ora spirit and you're not already
a spiritual person, it canactually be scary.
Like I freaked out I was.
I remember riding in the truckwith my husband and I saw 34 on
the clock in the truck and I waslike I have got to say
something to him and I said,blake, I don't know what's going

(11:09):
on, but I keep seeing thisnumber 34.
And I think it's telling methat like something bad's gonna
happen when I turn 34.
Like I instantly, you know, Ithink that's what our minds do,
especially if you're already ina dark place, right, like my
mind instantly was like this isa warning sign something bad is
going to happen to me.
But what really?

(11:31):
Now that I have gone through it,it was letting me know that
that's going to be a pivotalyear of my life, like 34.
Because as I got closer to thatage age and that birthday came
and went and nothing badhappened I was like, okay, what

(11:52):
could this mean?
And then it just that's wherethe curiosity just kicked in and
I started reading books.
Um, gabby Bernstein's theUniverse has your Back was like
the first book, and I was like Ifinally understood what that 34
was.
It was my guides.
My guides were waking me up andgetting my attention and

(12:14):
letting me know that they werehere.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
So, yeah, Wow, yeah, oh gosh, steph.
Well, firstly, I was 33, prettymuch, so well, firstly, I was
30, 33, pretty much.
Yeah, I was the same, and I wasin a low point myself and, um,
it was, the universe has yourback.

(12:37):
That was the first book that Ilistened to.
I was walking, we were doing awalking challenge around um,
like for work, and I was walkingaround the Swan River in Perth
and I was just searching formore like I knew there had to be
more like I'd always beenreally I'd always been like a
really positive, like a happyperson like I had drank.
You know I was a party girl inmy teens and 20s but I didn't
realize it was really presentingthat much of a problem.
Like I look back now and I'mlike oh my god um but, yeah, I

(13:01):
was like taking breaks fromalcohol and listening to like
all these podcasts, butlistening to that first book was
the audio of the Universe, hasyour Back, and I started seeing
my number, which was the number69, as everyone knows, and
seeing it on my batterypercentage, seeing it on number
plates.
And then it started like, yeah,I love that you just said that
about like it being scary.

(13:21):
I had to get a spiritual coachbecause the things that have
happened to me have been likewild and I think you, you do,
you almost do need to havesomeone.
Like I didn't have a partner, for example, to speak to, and
you know, it was me on my own,and so and a lot of people can
think that you're going batshitcrazy, right, um, and so, yeah,

(13:42):
I had to speak to a coach aboutit, um, but yeah, and then that
led me that that was kind of abig part of like you know why I
was linking it up?
Because every time I drank, Iwasn't as present and I wasn't
seeing the guidance as much andit was going in and out.
So how did it link in for you?
Like, how did the alcohol piececome in with everything that
you were experiencing?

Speaker 2 (14:03):
well, it's crazy because the alcohol piece didn't
come in till way later.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Yeah, I got sober when I was 41 and I'm 44 now, so
it was quite a bit later.
Um, I I used we'll talk about myalcohol use here, just for for
the context of it.
Yeah, I used out as I've saidalready twice and you'll hear me

(14:34):
say it probably 100 more timesbecause I wear my introversion
like a badge.
Being very introverted but alsowanting to be like everyone
else, that's what when alcoholcame into play for me at a very
young age.
It was a crutch.
It's what I used to kind of be,who I felt everyone needed me

(14:54):
to be, to fit in.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
And.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I think that's a lot of people right that started
drinking in their teens.
Like that's what it was about.
My husband and I were the partyhouse so we loved to entertain
and that came with drinking andfor me to like be able to handle
being around that many people Iwould drink alcohol.
Being around that many people,I would drink alcohol.

(15:21):
What shifted was a series ofjust what I call.
I envision spirituality as thespiraling up and you're slowly
spiraling, you're learninglessons and then they come back
around on the spiral and you'represented with that lesson again
.
And if you don't change the wayyou the spiral and you're
presented with that lesson again, and if you don't change the
way you handled that problem, you're going to come back around
to it and the only way to go upis to then change the way you

(15:46):
handle the situation that keepspresenting itself.
And that's kind of whathappened with alcohol.
I was suffering with majoranxiety attacks and panic
attacks and I just kept feedingit with alcohol.
I was suffering with majoranxiety attacks and panic
attacks and I just kept feedingit with alcohol and it was
really limiting me fromspiraling up within my, my
spirituality journey.

(16:06):
Yeah, and so I.
I.
I was a consumer of a lot oflike YouTube videos of gurus
that would talk aboutspirituality and I would always
kind of like skip over whenthey'd start talking about
alcohol because I was like Idon't want to hear it.
But it finally was loud andclear that I can't keep avoiding

(16:31):
.
You know, I would try to, youknow, just drink a few and I
just couldn't because of myanxiety, like I needed to have
more to calm the anxiety.
So, yeah, it's just been therealizations that had to like
present themselves at the righttime.
And you know I hate saying, oh,I wish I would have got sober

(16:53):
sooner, because I think therewere a lot of things that needed
to happen in my life through mydrinking, a lot of experiences,
to really make it stick.
You know what I mean.
Like I think if I would havetried to get sober sober like,
not just moderate it would havenever worked anyway, because I

(17:14):
needed, I needed the lessons, you know yes, yeah, like
absolutely, it's all timing,isn't it?

Speaker 1 (17:23):
yeah, I feel the same because actually, when you said
that it was that long of a waituntil you gave up alcohol, I
was like wow, but then actuallyit was the same for me, like I
didn't end up.
I took loads and loads ofbreaks, so I was going in and
out of it and I was feeling allthese incredible benefits, but I
would always go back and, as mycoach actually pointed out to
me, like my ego defends alcohol.

(17:43):
Yeah, like our egos lovealcohol.
It's they use it so likepowerfully, it's such a bugger.
But yeah, I defended it.
And I look back through myjournal, so I, it would have
been.
So it was 38 when I chapter, andeven then I couldn't say
forever, which was the wholeconcept of the chapter, was to
write go right, okay, let's makea real difference to my life,

(18:04):
let's go all in, let's seeexactly what I can achieve
before I'm 40.
And you know, look, whathappened has happened and it's
been so good that I haven't goneback.
But yeah, like you, it took mea really long time.
And there's moments where I go,oh, my goodness, what would I
have done if I like, what wouldI have achieved in my life if
I'd given up earlier?
But then look at us here, satnow talking about these

(18:25):
experiences and sharing ourmessage of how important it is
to um spirituality and to youknow, it's always going to stun
our spiritual growth.
Like it absolutely is, and wecan share that now because of
everything that we've beenthrough over the years.
Because, yeah, I was sober, curious for years and I wrote in
my journal you know I'd limitit like five drinks a week.

(18:46):
You know, I look back now andit gives me goosebumps because
I'm living the life that Iwanted so badly and yet I never
knew that the answer was inthere all along and it was the
alcohol piece.
Like it's so clear when I goback and read it now.
Yeah, but yeah, look, it's ledus to both of us to where we are
today with all this wisdom.

(19:07):
And I love what you said aboutyour new venture.
I want to hear a little bitabout that as well and how
you've kind of transitioned intothat.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Yeah, to hear a little bit about that as well
and how you've kind oftransitioned into that.
Yeah, so I go by the handle onInstagram, guided by stuff.
Um yeah and I and I considermyself an inner wisdom guide I
really want to help womenbasically just become more
self-aware, more in tune withtheir self, their soul, their

(19:38):
purpose.
Like I said, I've done a lot ofdifferent things to figure it
out on my own.
Back when I was a drinker, Ibecame a health coach and that
just flopped Because it thinkabout it, how, how can someone

(20:01):
be a health coach and then bebinge drinking?
You know, it was just.
The universe was like this isyou're not in alignment, I'm not
going to give you what you need, and when you're drinking you
vibrate so low.
You're not attracting anybody, but other drinkers and other
drinkers are not trying to gethealthy.
You know, and it was just it Ireally took a hit in doing that.

(20:25):
It made me not want to ever dothat again because of the way it
flopped.
It made me feel like a failure.
It was a disappointment.
But now that I'm in a complete,I'm a completely different
woman, like completely different.
I feel like now is the time Ican come at this with a much

(20:48):
different angle and I, like Isaid, I really want to take this
.
I learned some really goodskill skills in doing that but
really the stuff that I've doneon my own has been way more
valuable than that course that Itook to get my certification.
I mean, it's just, I dove into.

(21:09):
So I'm really getting intoastrology Like my.
So here's here's what's crazy mytherapist, who I started seeing
probably about four or fivemonths into my sobriety.
I was like, okay, I need sometherapy.
And I reached out to mypractitioner to see if she knew
anybody and I said they justhave to be sober.
And they can't be sober in thatthey just have never had a

(21:33):
problem.
They've had to have had adrinking problem and overcome it
.
I need that camaraderie with mytherapist.
So she's like I got the perfectguy.
Anyway, he's one of thosepeople.
As soon as we sat down, therewas just this deep connection.
He's very spiritual, he'sreally into astrology and he's

(21:55):
like I just feel like we're fromthe same soul tribe and so he's
like let me pull it.
He was like do you care if Ipull up your birth chart?
And I was like this is exactlywhat I need.
Like, let's do this.
You know it was not.
I did not think that that wasthe type of therapy I was going
to get, but once again.
It came into my life right whenI needed it, yeah.

(22:16):
So, yeah, he pulled up my chartand you know I'm an Aries sun
with a Taurus moon and a cancerrising, and he has the same
three signs, just in differentpositions in his own chart.
And it's just, it's so crazywhen you are open, like you,
reaching out to me, like youjust attract everybody you've

(22:41):
ever really needed in your life, right.
So I dove, when I took thisbreak, I really dove into
astrology and my birth chart andeverything in my birth chart
tells me that I am a teacher, Iam a mother figure to others, I
am caring, I'm compassionate,I'm empathetic, compassionate,

(23:08):
I'm empathetic, I am here tohelp others.
And I was like it's in front ofme, I can't not, I can't keep
resisting it, because the more Iwas resisting it, I just was
not feeling like myself, right, and I just was like, okay, and
that just that's what I loveabout doing your birth chart.
It's not fortune telling, it'sliterally a map, I feel like
from our guides, telling us likethis is who you're meant to be.

(23:33):
Now go do it.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Yeah, I love it.
I love it and that's a big partof my message with removing the
booze is that you remove allthose false like layers and
those false masks and all theego stuff and you come back to
who you truly are and who youwere born to be and who you
align with the gifts that youwere given to come into this
world.
And that's when everything justunfolds, like when you come

(24:01):
back to that place of who youtruly are and you're open, like
you say, and curious.
I think curious is such a greatexplanation, just be really
curious and learn.
But when you're in that place, like, you just attract, like all
these people that are meant tobe in your life, and I believe I
believe we're actually allmessengers for each other, like
some of the synchronicities thatI've had over here in LA and

(24:23):
talking of um, talking of thewhole soul thing and the energy
thing.
So have you heard of astro, astro cartography, which is I
have, yes, why?
Yeah, so it's about like whereyou're aligned, like on the, on
the world map, I suppose, likeand and definitely wise, like
where your soul kind of belongs,I think and I've been getting

(24:43):
this calling to Los Angeles likeI can't wait to share more
about it and I'm going to beactually writing a book that's
come up this this trip, that I'mgoing to be sharing about it.
Yeah, and the last, like um,since I got alcohol free, it's
been a calling to to Los Angelesand I looked it up on the astro
cartography map and there's aline for me that goes right

(25:05):
through LA and it's like wow,and I'm here and I feel every
conversation I'm having is likesomething is coming from it and
it makes us feel so alive whenwe're in that position.
Right, and I just know that Inever would have found any of
that if I hadn't removed thebooze and really got to work on

(25:26):
like who I really am and whatI'm meant to do and who I'm
meant to serve and all of thethings.
And I have no idea yet whereit's going to go, but I just
keep following the guidance andit's everywhere and it's
beautiful.
Yeah, I'm so excited for her.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
And when the booze is gone you have that confidence.
Right to just listen to thatvoice instead.
Right, that ego, negative voicereally does start to tone
itself down.
It doesn't go away.
But I mean, I can speak for me,I can tame it a hell of a lot

(26:04):
better now.
It's not the voice that's takingthe lead anymore.
It's the voice that creeps inevery once in a while and I say
thank you.
I know you're just looking outfor me and trying to keep me
safe, but we got this.
The universe has me, my guideshave me and you know what, If
this worst case scenario thatyou keep bringing up happens,
we're going to just learn fromit.
We're not going to go stick ourhead in the sand like we used

(26:27):
to do when we were a drinker.
So I just I love this for you,the whole LA and meeting.
Oh my gosh, it's so cool.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Yeah, it's wild.
Yeah, I mean, there's a wholeother thing that I could talk
about.
Like I have a feeling that I'vehad a past life here, like
definitely it's something that Iwant to look into more, but I'm
so drawn to, like you Americanstoo, and it started with the
July the 4th.
I gave up alcohol on July the4th, steph, I didn't plan that,
yeah, yeah, I have no idea.

(26:59):
And then one day I was like, oh, my goodness, like July the 4th
is my date, and then it's justevolved from there over and over
again.
But I love what you said about, yeah, the voice of the ego, and
I think you know, hearing you,it's having that awareness right
, like just having the awareness, like it's still going to come
in the voice of the ego, thefear, all the things like
sometimes I call it the darknesstoo, but I think when we are

(27:22):
really aware of it and aware ofwhat those like negative
patterns are, which is whatalcohol, being alcohol free,
gives us, that awareness right, and that's when we have the
power over it, because we knowit's not real, we know we can
recognize what it's trying to doand ultimately keep us safe.
But yeah, it's a bugger but wecan like not fall into it, you

(27:43):
know before.
I'd be scared of feeling thatway and I'd be scared of, like,
what was going on.
And now I can just go right, okay, yeah, like you said, like
thank you, I'm not listening toyou today, and like I don't fall
into the emotional trap of itand that's it.
Like that again, that's just ahuge part of my message with
removing the booze is that youbecome so aware and it's just so

(28:07):
much easier to feel into, likeyour true self and yeah, and to
and to be connected to thatguidance and your intuition.
And yeah, I just would never.
I would never want to go back, like because people say to me oh
, you know, why don't you justhave like a drink here or there?
And it's like no, even as asocial drinker, like even if

(28:28):
you're having one or two, you'redisconnecting completely, like
there's a chance you're going tomiss something or you're going
to feel like even a glass or twoof wine.
To be honest, now that I knowwhat it does to our, it's a veil
, it's, it's.
It's not gonna work.
If you want to elevate to whereyou're meant to be, it's, it's
gonna stunt you regardless rightright soapbox moments gotta

(28:51):
have them though.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
It's true, it's so true, and I worry I mean just to
touch on that a minute like Ido worry about brain health.
Um, I I have, you know, there'sdementia and al and Alzheimer's
in my family and I just don'twant to end up like that and
drinking was gonna just set meup for that for sure.

(29:11):
You know, like you can't, youcan't predict everything, but
you can at least try to dothings to like better your
chances, right, and that'sdefinitely one of the reasons
why I don't drink, because Ijust don't.
I want to remember, I want tohave a brain that's functioning
when I'm older and spending timewith grandkids and things.
So, yeah, it affects mind, bodyand spirit, it's all things.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
It it does, it really does, it affects everything, um
, but I feel, yeah, I feel justso lucky, like I think there's
been a big mindset shift for mewhere obviously initially I was
kind of like, oh, you know, Isaw it as a bit of a pain that
you know that resisting ofgiving it up, like I didn't, I

(30:00):
didn't want to have to be theone that had to give it up, and
then now I really just see it aslike such a blessing and that's
what I say to anyone Like ifyou're having horrible feelings
from it or if it's causing youproblems, like see that as a
gift, because that is you beingguided to go down the path, like
however long it takes or, youknow, whatever journey you go on

(30:21):
.
But I think that everybody isguided for a higher reason, like
I just I feel that yeah, um,yeah for sure definitely yeah so
.
So tell me what's the plan like?
What have you got lined up soyou're back on Instagram?

Speaker 2 (30:38):
I'm back on Instagram .
Yeah, right now I'm gettingready to start a 30 self mastery
challenge.
We're going to start it October1.
And it's basically kind of likea 70.
Like people know, 75 hard, it'skind of like that, but not so
intense.
Right, it's going to be.

(30:58):
We've got nine daily habitsthat basically, they're all
going to bring you back in,because, as women, we are
constantly caring for others, doing all these things, and we
abandon ourselves and our needsall the time, and one of the
things that I have done in myown life is I have created these
habits throughout my day thathelp me check back in and to

(31:22):
really keep me centered andgrounded, and so that's what
it's for, and it's free foranyone to join.
I don't know when this podcastis coming out, but it's free for
anyone who wants to join.
We're in a WhatsApp group.
We're going to like, cheer eachother on and push each other
through and yeah, so I've gotthat.
And then I'm working on a courseand it's called the Knowing

(31:44):
Within Mastery and I've got anoutline for the course.
I have a friend that's actuallybless her.
She's doing the course with meright now.
I'm just trying to fine tune it.
You know I'm unfortunately, I'mcrippled by perfectionism most
of the time, and so that'ssomething that I'm trying to
like work through, you know, sothat it will actually be

(32:07):
presented, because I think thatthere's a lot of things in there
Like you said, we're messengersLike I can't let my
perfectionism keep me fromgetting what I have, the
knowledge I have and the thingsthat I want to share, that could
really help someone, even ifit's one person out there.
So I'm working on that and Ireally think I'm going to roll

(32:27):
that out after the first of theyear.
I think it's perfect timing formost people, um, and it gives
me enough time and space toreally get it to where I want it
, um, but yeah, so that's what'son my plate right now so that's

(32:48):
what's on my plate right now.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
That sounds gorgeous, and this um podcast will
actually come out on friday.
Oh perfect, yeah, yeah, so ifanybody wants to join in?

Speaker 2 (32:54):
um, just go to my instagram.
There's a link in my bio, so,guided by stuff is my instagram,
and then there's a link in mybio to sign up for it.
We We've got a fun group, soit'll be good yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
And, I think, something that I'd love to touch
on, given that we've both been, you know, so open to receiving
these signs and, you know, really let that spiritual path
lead us.
What would you say to anyonethat you know is listening, that
maybe is wanting to see more,or you know wanting, maybe isn't
seeing the numbers yet knowsthere's something, but you know

(33:29):
what?
What?
What advice would you give them, steph, to start exploring that
path a little bit?

Speaker 2 (33:35):
more.
So my advice would be to reallybe open to it, and I know
they're going to say, well, I amopen to it, I'm asking for it.
You know, you really have tobelieve it, because that's the
thing.
I think there's a lot ofskepticism.
There's a lot of skepticismthat goes into it where you're
just like, okay, well, show me asign.

(33:56):
Well, when you're coming fromthat place, where you're already
like, just prove it to me,that's not where you want to be
and I think you really have toget there.
Um, and how do you get there?
Meditating is a really goodplace to start Um, just quieting
the mind and really getting intouch with your, with your inner

(34:18):
guides, and, um, I, I do.
I do a lot of like I'm reallystarting to get into tarot, but
before I got into tarot, I woulddo a card poll every day.
I have an angel card deck.
And that I think, if you feellike you're not getting any

(34:39):
signs like I was getting thenumbers or things like that
start with something like thatand do a daily card poll and get
your messages that way, startdeveloping a relationship.
Because I think when you canstart developing a relationship
and then really understand andtrust and feel that connection

(35:00):
is happening, then you canliterally say out loud I am open
to receive signs.
And I think spirituality is sopersonal and I know you would
agree with me and I think that'swhat I love about it and that's
what I want everyone tounderstand.

(35:20):
People kind of come fromreligious backgrounds and they
think that there's going to be aset of rules and like things
you've got to do, and it's not.
It's for you to create, youknow, the rituals that you want
to do every day.
Don't do a ritual if it feelsweird to you or isn't going to

(35:41):
like make you feel better.
Better, do rituals that makeyou feel good.
I've tried a ton.
Some I've kept, some I've letgo because they just I couldn't
stick with them.
So I was like, well, that mustnot be for me.
But I think, just creating thatand then, yeah, just being
extremely open and letting yourguides know I am open and truly

(36:02):
meaning that you are.
It's funny because the challengethat I just started, I put it
out there and it's scary whenyou put yourself out there,
right, I'm like I put it outthere and then my ego is going
okay, so no one's joining.
So what are you going to do if,like, no one joins?
Like I had one person join andI thought, well, okay, I guess

(36:24):
me and that one person are doingthe challenge, like I love that
.
I had like the answers for that.
But I started to get a littlepanicked and I was journaling
about it In my journal.
I was writing I'm feelingextremely panicked.
I'm feeling a little, you know, discouraged, like all those
human feelings that we feelright, that the ego makes us

(36:49):
feel, you know, no one's reallyjoining.
I said, and this is what we gotto do, a lot too, but I'm
curious to see if anyone elsewill sign up.
I'm curious to know if this iswhat people need.
Deedee, I'm not even kiddingyou.
I finished that sentence.
My phone went off.
It said I had someone sign upand guess what time?
It was 8.34 AM.
I'm getting the chills justtalking about it.

(37:11):
It's when you can change yourmind frame.
If you're coming at things likeI need this because I'm
negative and I'm feeling down,no, you have to come from a
place of already knowing youhave it and you have the ability
to live it, and that's whenthings start happening.
I mean you going to LA like you, that is, you telling them yes,

(37:34):
I'm willing to do the work, I'mwilling to put myself in these
positions so that you can giveme what I need.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Yeah, oh, I love it.
I love that.
I asked you that and I loveeverything your knowledge and
insight.
That's just like opened up somuch for me too to say, like
that's so useful for people, because I think something that I
say, and you've pretty muchsaid it, is you have to believe
to see, you have to believe tosee and you have to.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
A big one for me and a big breakthrough that I had
only a few weeks ago because, asyou said, like we're always
still, evolving, like we'realways still having
breakthroughs.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
But for me, a big thing is like it's doing it from
a place of love and trustingand surrendering and being in
our hearts, and I know that thatcan be hard.
Sometimes fear is there, but itreally is a case of and you
will know this from the universehas your back that you can
either live your life throughthe lens of love or you can live
your life through the lens offear.

(38:33):
And that's a choice, right,every single day.
It's a choice and I have towork on it.
And some days I wake up and Ifeel floaty and excited,
especially here in no, no, youknow.
But other days, like, I'll havethat resistance and that fear
straight away and that headiness, and so I make a choice and I
and that's normally when my egois like no, can't be bothered,
don't want to do this, and Iwill literally, you know, pretty

(38:54):
much force myself to do myheart meditation, just sort of a
simple little one that I dobring myself back to my heart,
think about a few things thatI'm grateful for, you know,
switch everything up and wow, like it goes on to just, you
know, change the whole thing.
And it's happening over and, over and over again and I think
for me it's just being in myheart space is just huge on this

(39:18):
journey and I feel like that'swhere I see so much more.
And there's so much moresynchronicities and because
we're in our so much moresynchronicities, because we're
in our hearts, not our heads, and when we're in our hearts,
we're in our true nature, right, right, yeah, you know you talk
about coming from love insteadof coming from fear, and I
remember, like, just like you, Iwas like, okay, yeah, I kind of

(39:38):
get what that means, but likemore now more than ever.

Speaker 2 (39:41):
I understand that and I'm going to explain how I
understand because it might helppeople, because I think, like
people are like fear.
What do you mean fear?
I think what you need to do issit down and really go into what
actions or how are you actingwhen you are fearful?
And for me, I go into controlmode.
If I am coming from a, you knowthat I'm coming out of fear

(40:06):
when I'm trying to controleverything around me.
I'm not talking aboutcontrolling yourself, I'm
talking I'm trying to controleverything around me.
I'm trying to control mydaughter and her choices, my
husband, what he's going to do.
You know, like the person infront of me, how fast or slow
they're driving.
I'm trying to control because Iam living out of fear.

(40:26):
Yeah, what living out of lovelooks like for me is, like you
mentioned, surrender.
Stop, yeah, let it go.
Be okay with whatever is tocome, and I will literally sit
and say that out loud Okay, Isurrender, give me what I need.
I trust that everything thathappens from now forward is for

(40:54):
me good or bad.
It's for me, it's what I'msupposed to be receiving and to
just like let it all go.
And that's basically what I didthe other morning when I was
journaling.
I was like, all right, whathappens happens with this.
And as soon as I let go of thattether boop, here comes that

(41:14):
sign of form.
You know, yeah, and there'syour confirmation.
So anyone that's trying to lookfor signs too, you have to kind
of see them for what they are.
You know, like that was adefinite.
And the 34 after the hour waslike the bullet point, like
there it is.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
So yeah, and I think like something to add into that
as well, right, steph?
Is that like when you're doingthings from a place of pure
intent.
So you're there providing thisfree, a place of pure intent.
So you're there providing thisfree, beautiful thing to your
community, wanting to helppeople, like, of course it's

(41:52):
gonna happen, for you right and,of course, when you let go,
it's gonna, because you'recoming from that place of love
too, in the sense that you'retrying to help and serve other
people.
And I think that's really areally important point to make,
because I think if we're doingthings from a place of more like
that egoic stuff and like yousee it out in the world, I feel
like there's a shift happening.
A lot of these big egoic thingsare being uncovered right.

(42:14):
There's no coincidence oh yeahso I, you know, when you're in a
place of service and you'recoming from a place of love and
you're trying to help people, gosh, you know.
We're in an incredible worldtoday where it can only, it can
only work out for you becauseyou're meant to help others.
You've aligned with your giftsand you're here to serve the
people that you're here to serveand you just know that those

(42:35):
people are gonna come and findyou.
Exactly who needs you is gonnafind you and that's why I'm so
glad you're back on Instagramand you've birthed this new
business.
And, gosh, I can't wait for usto stay connected.
I'm going to come and see you.
I always love to be in America,so, um, yeah, yeah, we're gonna

(42:56):
, we're gonna be.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
This will be the start of something, steph, I've
no doubt yeah, yeah, I agree,it's so exciting and yeah, this,
this we do live in a verypivotal time, like you said, and
you know podcasts like yoursand conversations like what
we're having and, and you know, getting the fact that that's why

(43:18):
I need to share this stuff witheveryone is because we all are
trying to come out of the shadowright now as a collective, and
this is the best way to do itand I can't just sit here and
like, not talk about it and getpeople curious and involved.
So it's so good, yeah it's sogood, thank you.

Speaker 1 (43:41):
Thank you for all the wisdom that you've shared and
and it's really special and I'msure we're gonna have lots more
chat.
Yeah, and I think you touchedon your Instagram, but just a
recap of where people can findyou.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
Yeah, it's guided by stuff on Instagram and that's
basically where everything isright now for for my coursework
and the challenge coming up.
So, yeah, give it a follow.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
Amazing, and yeah, I'll.
We'll have to chat after this.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Yeah, for sure yes.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
Thank you.
