I used to set the bar SO low -in relationships, jobs, and the way I let people treat me. I stayed stuck and drank to distract myself from the mundane life I was living. But sobriety changed that. I stopped settling and started choosing better. In this episode, I’m sharing what I’ve outgrown and what I simply won’t accept anymore. Drop a comment and tell me what you’re done putting up with as a sober person :)

It's never just one... Today we're going to talk about why the idea of having "just one drink" creeps into our heads in sobriety and why it's NEVER worth it. It goes so much deeper than just that one drink, so let's talk about it :)

Everything that could go wrong... WENT wrong from the years 2020-2023. These were by far the worst years of my life, and I used alcohol to survive them. Some people don't understand how a girl like me could fall into alcoholism. Well, in today's episode, I lay it all out for you -with a focus on the injury that left me bedridden, emotionally exhausted, and broken (literally).

Today we're talking about getting to the root issue of WHY we drank so heavily in the first place. If we heal and work on the root issues, we won't crave alcohol as much -making sobriety feel easier.

Simply eliminating the substance will make sobriety feel HARD. Because you're eliminated your vice, but all the issues remain. In today's episode, we break down how to analyze your past and begin to heal.

If you find yourself drinking for life's most mundane situations like the grocery store or WORK or your morning walk... you're not alone. I used to love drinking in inappropriate situations, where you really should not be consuming alcohol. So today, we're diving into why I did that and how I manage those same situations as a sober person.

TW: Liver disease, cirrhosis, fatty liver.... If this is a sensitive topic to you, please take caution when listening. I talk very filter-free about all the damage that alcohol can cause on the body, so listeners discretion is advised.

Hello Scoop Troop! Welcome back to another episode. This is a bit of a heavier episode about liver damage from alcohol and how I was "scared straight" into sobriety. Stay safe out there, and...

Trying to limit our alcohol intake actually makes us think about booze WAY more than just quitting altogether, contrary to popular belief. Speaking from experience: quitting is peace. It clears your mind and frees up your headspace.

In today's episode, we talk about which moderating strategies I tried and how I failed at all of them. We also dive into the mental clarity and peace that comes with sobriety.

In today's episode, I’m sharing the 10 things I absolutely do NOT miss about being a drinker. From the physical toll alcohol took on my digestion and weight, to the mental toll of shame, secrecy, and forgetfulnesses, we’re diving into the raw truths of what I left behind when I quit drinking.

I open up about the emotional rollercoaster of hiding a drinking problem, the lies we tell ourselves (and others), and the freedom that co...

I get a lot of questions online about how to tell family, friends, and significant others that you are getting sober & quitting alcohol for good. This can be so intimidating for a number of reasons: Maybe they didn't even know you had a drinking problem? Maybe you're nervous to verbally commit to sobriety forever? Whatever your reason... I get it. All those things ran through my mind too, so in today's episode, I...

I'm hoping that these 4 mentality shifts can help you think of sobriety in a simpler way. My favorite one: all we have to do to stay sober is NOT drink... we don't have to DO anything! Simple right? Obviously an alcohol-free life comes with its struggles, but I hope that this helps you reframe the concept.

If you’re squeamish, maybe skip this one -we’re diving into the very NOT glamorous side of having a drinking problem: digestive issues. My gut was a mess when I drank, and “food poisoning” was basically a weekly event. But after quitting, it healed almost instantly, and now when something’s off, I actually know what it is because alcohol isn’t muddying the waters. Digestive peace is honestly such a blessing, and it feels like I'...

Celebrating a different kind of birthday today: One year alcohol-free! And I couldn’t be more proud of myself. It’s actually shocking to look back over the last year and think about all that has changed in my life. I feel like a completely different person, both physically and emotionally. Letting go of one thing has given me everything, and I’m so grateful that one random Thursday in 2024, I decided to kick a substance that was no...

I remember feeling so incredibly elated in the beginning of sobriety -almost like I was experiencing a high. It was such an unexpected rush that I actually Googled it to see if it was normal. And, of course (because apparently none of us have an original experience), it was totally normal, and it even had a name: The Pink Cloud.

Let’s talk about it.

PSA: you do not have to hit a rock bottom in order to get sober. In fact, it should be seen as such a blessing if you're able to nip it in the bud BEFORE you hit rock bottom. In today's episode, I open up about some close calls that I had & some mistakes I've made along the way.

Sobriety makes it feel like you can live 3 lives in one day. The days drag on & on... in the beginning of the alcohol-free journey, so today we're talking about how to use that extra time wisely and how to manage feelings of boredom.

After about 8 months living with family and having constant distractions around me, I am finally moving into my own place again, and I'm a little scared (but mostly super excited!) Living alone used to be my sanctuary for problematic drinking, but now, I'm going to use my space to be creative and productive and become the best version of myself!
