Within this episode I had the chance to speak to a fellow Clarksburg High School Alumni Caroline Ta! Caroline is the owner and founder of Sweets by Caroline where she brings her customers delicious customizable gluten-free french macarons, cakes, and other desserts, all made from scratch. She offers simple and unique flavors that will leave your taste buds coming back for more. I am not a big desert person but I will most definitely be placing an order this week, and I recommend you do the same. Caroline is a Montgomery College & University of Maryland graduate where she earned degrees in Business, Supply Chain Management, & Marketing. During her time in college she won the 2021 Rudy Awards Student Entrepreneur of the Year, additionally she was a 2020 Ding Pitch Dingman Finalist & PPE Award recipient, and earned a spot as a finalist in the Raptor Tank, which is a spin off of the infamous Shark Tank! Caroline also has a large social media following across various platforms, she has worked on this business for over half a decade now and sees no signs of slowing down! Within this episode we talked about how she got into baking, the evolution of her business, how her passion and hobby turned into her job, her college experience, her appreciation for Montgomery College & University of Maryland, our shared friend Baavhik the Founder of Aesthetic Imprints, her first memory as a baker, some tips she has for other entrepreneurs just starting off, and some questions from my curiosity tour!
