It's because of his interest inthese experiences that this

(01:12):
podcast was created.
And now your host, billy Shadow.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
As the announcer said , I am Billy Shadow.
Welcome again to the SonicHitchhiker podcast.
Today we have a very specialguest with us, christy
Hutcherson, who is going to tellus a ghost story, which are
among some of my favorite kindof stories to talk about, and
the way I'm going to do this islet her introduce herself and

(01:48):
then we will hear the story thatshe has to tell and I will ask
questions and she will give usdetails and all of that fun
stuff.
This is going to be a lot offun, guys.
Go ahead, christy, tell usabout yourself.
Awesome.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Okay, Well, I'm Christy and I'm from Atlanta,
Georgia.
I've lived here pretty much allmy adult life and I'm a video
producer by trade.
I've been doing that for a longtime now I'm not even going to
say how long, because it's beenthat long and I'm also a
musician and I'm also an actor.
And I'm not acting when I tellthe story.

(02:22):
So I'm the youngest of fivegirls.
My parents are originally fromOklahoma but my dad worked at
Lockheed so we ended up here inGeorgia, moved here from
California.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
What part of Oklahoma .

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Oh, my parents were both born in Oklahoma City.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
See, I lived for quite a few years in Walters,
Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Oh really, what part of the state is that in?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Walters, oklahoma, is close to Lawton, fort Sill
about 30 minutes.
I want to say south of FortSill, lawton, oklahoma.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
That's the closest.
I think Broken Arrow wasanother town that was close to
us.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
That's interesting.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
An hour and a half away, so that area.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Other side of my family is in Tulsa area too, so
we lived in Davenport, and youknow.
Oddly enough, I'm not going totell you this story today, but
we lived in Davenport, oklahoma, before moving to California and
then Georgia in another hauntedhouse.
But that's another story foranother day.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
We will hear that story, hopefully another day.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
So this is a strange thing because this paranormal
aspect has been part of my lifeand I think I heard you say on
one of your podcasts that noteverybody's had these
experiences.
That's right, you know.
I've talked to Tommy.
He's never had this experienceand I've met many people.
So it's really odd for me, andI'm always glad to hear other
people who have, because youknow, other than that, I'm quite

(03:43):
a normal, a noble person, but Ihad a few run-ins.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
You know it's hard, it's hard for the average person
who has never experiencedanything like that to believe
someone that says that, becausewe are overwhelmed with horror
movies and stories and books andit's become almost a parody
when people talk about or or arunning joke when they talk

(04:06):
about yeah, I've seen ghosts,I've seen this and that.
If you've never seen anythinglike that or I've never
experienced anythingsupernatural, right, I have had
an experience with.
I call it ghost.
It can be spirit, angels, I'mnot sure what you would call
them, but I've had thatexperience.
So now tell us about yourunique experience.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
So you know, I was a kid when the other thing
happened in Oklahoma, so I waslistening to more of my older
sister's experiences.
But this, you know, I'm agenuine adult.
This is back in 2006.
And I was kind of coming off ahard time as it was.
My mom had gone through along-term illness and eventually
passed away.
So I was already kind of comingoff a hard time as it was.
My mom had gone through along-term illness and eventually
passed away.
So I was already kind ofvulnerable emotionally so and I

(04:51):
recently started dating someone.
We decided to go rent a hometogether and it was in the
Kirkwood neighborhood NowKirkwood, you know, it was kind
of like burgeoning at the timeas far as like being people
coming in and renovating homes.
Our home was a shotgun homethat had just gotten renovated
and wonderful landlords and cutestreet, you know just how old

(05:13):
was this home?

Speaker 2 (05:13):
do you know?

Speaker 3 (05:14):
um, it had to be from like the 20s okay, so old, very
old home yeah, old home, okay.
And then there there was acivil war monument sign at the
very front of the street talkingabout some battles that had
gone on there.
So there's always kind of aweird connection sometimes with
that.
I have a fascination with theCivil War for some reason, don't
even know why.

(05:34):
But so you know we were movingin.
It was kind of abrupt, kind ofnew in the relationship.
So you know, there's this partof me like it was going.
Should I?
Is this the right idea?
You know um great guy, by theway.
But you know just you questionthat because you're just making
a life decision but it's a newrelationship and you're moving

(05:56):
into the shotgun house together.
Yeah.
So we're moving in and likeliterally the day we're moving
in, we're just moving on ourstuff, it's you know no big deal
.
All of a sudden I just got.
I got overwhelmed.
Could have been from my mompassing the year earlier.
It could have been just movingin with somebody.
I, you know, just starting anew relationship with them.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
As you're moving in, you're starting to feel this
strange aura about the place.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
And I just started.
I just sat down in the middleof the kitchen and started
crying.
And I just started.
I just sat down in the middleof the kitchen and started
crying.
He was like are you okay?
And I'm like I don't knowwhat's going on, I'm just
overwhelmed, you know, you know.
So we move on, move stuff in,and in the midst of that, as a
freelance producer, I take ondifferent projects all the time.
Well, I'd taken on this PBSshow called Real Moms, real

(06:43):
Stories, real Savvy, and it wasa really hard project for me
because it just, it was nonstop, literally it was.
It felt like it was seven daysa week, 25 hours a day, having
to vet interviews, go interviewdirect shoots, coordinate them
and all that.
So add that stress onto a newrelationship moving into a new

(07:04):
place, feeling a little weirdabout it, mom passing away.
So there's all these elementscoming together.
So we'd been in the house, Idon't know a few months and we
started just experiencingstrange paranormal things.
I started developing insomnia, which is odd.
I just couldn't sleep with thestress of the work and

(07:26):
everything.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
But you had never had a problem with that before.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Oh my gosh, I could have a cup of coffee at midnight
, go to bed and not have aproblem.
So I started having insomnia.
So I would get up from ourbedroom and go sleep on the
couch or go sleep in my office, which had a bed, and I, just one
night.
One of the first things thathappened is that it was just a
fitful night.
I couldn't sleep.
I literally would go to shootsome days with zero sleep.

(07:50):
I mean just, I don't know ifanybody's ever seen the movie
Insomnia with Al Pacino.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Yeah, I have.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
But that's that literally.
He portrayed that so well.
It is sheer hell to not havesleep.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
So one night I was trying to sleep out on the couch
and I literally heard or feltsomebody waking me, and it was a
woman's voice Shaking likeshaking you, yeah, shaking you
Like shaking me, and it wassaying Christy.
I mean, I know that soundsstupid.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
But literally it's almost as if her voice couldn't
you know, all the way comethrough.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Did it sound familiar the voice?
No, not at all.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
So that would go on.
And then one night, uh, we weresitting on the couch watching
television Steven, the boyfriendat the time and uh, we're just
watching them.
I had a dog as well.
Her name was Pooley Looley.
She dearly departed.
Pooley, she's awesome.
And uh, she was very sensitive, such a chill dog.
She wasly departed.
Pooley, she's awesome.
And she was very sensitive, such a chill dog.
She was very sensitive in thathouse too.

(08:48):
So we're sitting on the couchand all of a sudden he just
jumps off the couch.
I said what is going on?
He goes, something touched me.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
I'm like okay, the boyfriend said, something
touched him on the shoulder andhe jumped.
It was that prominent that, yes, yeah, that prominent.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
He never had to get.
By the way, he never had aghost encounter, since I had as
a child, as I mentioned, ingulama he I told him this before
and I had other experiencesthat I told him about, so he was
not very, you know, hip tobelieving this yeah so he's a
doubter.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
But he knew something happened.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
But he knew something happened.
It was obvious, yes.
So here I'm developing insomniaand it's getting chronic.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
The dog is.
The dog's sensitive A littlesensitive about the house.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
Yeah, she's sensitive about it.
Now here's another weird thing.
Two other weird things happenother than I'm going to lead up
to the big event I'm going tolead up to the big event.
Yeah, two other things thathappened.
Weird there, like the house isnewly renovated.
It had, like a caged door onthe back where the laundry room
was to go into kitchen, um, andthat you locked.
And then you locked the actualdoor.

(09:56):
Right, well, I would come homefrom work, um, drop my bag down,
we might.
Steven and I would go takePooley for a walk and Steven and
I would go take.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Pooley for a walk.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Yes, so somebody must have been casing us for a while
, because they knew our routine.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
So I get home, I drop my bag.
One afternoon, pretty day, wego out and walk Pooley.
It's probably 30, 40 minutes atmost.
We're gone by that time.
Somebody had already bustedthrough that door.
Both doors got in, stole mypurse, Didn't get my brand new
laptop in the other room, whichis weird and then gone.
I'm like crap.

(10:29):
You know, there's that feelingof invasion already then the
next thing that happened thatwas really weird.
I mean, this place is weird, you guys was I parked.
It was a single drivewaybecause it's an old Atlanta
neighborhood, so Steven wasthere first.
He'd park in the driveway, I'dpark on the street, vice versa.
That night I'd parked on thestreet and it was one of my
insomnia nights.
I'm over there and I'm sleepingand I'm like four o'clock in

(10:53):
the morning.
I'm hearing this weird noise.
I'm like what is that?
I know that noise, but what isthat?
It wasimate tow truck trying totow my car away and what we
heard was that people do that tomake money.
Anyway, just weird stuff ishappening in this house all the
way around.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I'm just feeling.
So this house has a bad vibefrom the beginning.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
It's just weird so not only.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
It sounds to me like and I have heard of these things
where certain places havecertain auras about them.
Energies, yeah, and the energythat is in that place can feed
off of you but also yoursurroundings.
So in a way it sounds like aplace that has a bad vibe, but

(11:39):
it also creates bad energy.
It's attracting somethingsomething we've heard of the
term.
Everyone has heard of the termuh, the you attract.
What's what's the?
Uh the secret that you attractthings to you through what is
that?
What is that called um?

Speaker 3 (11:58):
I know what you're talking about.
I can't think of the phrasemyself.
I want to.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
It's not, it's not fatal attraction, that would be
totally different.
Uh, the law of attraction, yeah, the law of attraction.
Whereas if you're, if the placeis positive, or if you're
positive you're, you attractpositive vibes to you, positive
and good things happen to you.
On the other end of that, if,if that is true, and I do think
that's true, if there is a if,if you have a if, you are

(12:29):
attracting and it sounds likethis with this house, you, it is
attracting bad vibes, badenergy.
So therefore it it spawns thatonto you and because you now
have that energy, it attractsnegative energy to it.
Yeah, so it sounds to me like, during this process, your life
is also somewhat falling apartbecause of this house that
you're living in.

(12:49):
It's affecting your dog, it'saffecting you, it's affecting
your boyfriend.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
That's interesting it is very weird.
Uh, so all of these things arehappening and we're leading up
to this point where steven a lotof he had, like this old
television set.
He turned into a bar that weput in our living room and he
collected all these wonderful.
He was a chef by trade so hehad all these different
wonderful decanters that hewould go collect, so he had this

(13:17):
one.
If you've ever seen the I Dreamof Jeannie show, it's got a
large base, it's very wide.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
And then it goes to the little tiny flue, yeah, and
got a large base, it's very wide, yeah.
And then it goes to the littletiny flue, yeah, and so
literally, you know, he had allthose on that tv.
Yeah, and literally for thatparticular um decanter, you'd
have to pick it up and turn iton its side.
It's not going to just knockover right.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
It won't fall over the base.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
We're so wide right, right, right so I'm in there, of
course, in my office working.
It's probably, I don't know,eight o'clock at night.
Like I said, I was on that job24-7, usually stressed out.
He's in the living room doinghis thing and he just came in to
check on me and he goes.
He comes walking in and he goes.
Hey, why did you turn mydecanter on its side?

(14:01):
I'm like I didn't turn yourdecanter on its side, he side.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
I'm like I didn't turn your decanter on its side,
he goes well, I didn't either,so I just figured you'd done it
for some reason.
But there are quite a few ofthem on this right shelf, so
just one is on its side so hegoes.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
You know, I was just curious.
I'm like well, I didn't do it,so just turn it back right, back
up and we'd already been havingthat weird stuff happen so
we're both like okay, this isweird.
So wasn't't you, wasn't me.
What's going on?
So we go walking back in thereand we literally both walked in
there, turned it back up, sat itdown.
Both of us walked back in to myoffice to go talk and we just

(14:36):
kind of forgot about it,honestly, walked back in there
and it was on the side and I kidyou not.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Within what amount of time do you think?

Speaker 3 (14:45):
Probably 15 or 20 minutes.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Wow, so something wanted you to know that they
were present.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
And because you turned it up, it felt the need
to turn it back over, exactlyJust to prove that I am here,
right, wow so that was ourabsolutely something's going on
now.
Yeah, that would freak me out.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Maybe it was weird that I'm developing insomnia and
I felt somebody waking me up.
I was in a weird place.
You felt like somebody reachedout and touched you.

Speaker 2 (15:10):
Right.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
House has gotten broken into Cars get Okay, but
now this is blatant.
So, and just like in the movies, there must be a reason why
they do this.
A thunderstorm we did come tofind out there is A thunderstorm
was coming and we literallyboth said we're not staying here
tonight, Packed up our stuff, got the dog, went and got a

(15:32):
hotel, because I was just likeI'm at my wit's end here.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Up to this point.
How long would you say you hadbeen in this house Up to this
point?

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Less than a year.
Less than a year.
Less than a year.
Less than a year.
Less than a year.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
So whatever was in that, whatever energy or spirit
was in that house wanted to beknown fairly quickly.
It didn't wait that long tostart revealing itself Exactly,
and you both felt it and the dogfelt it.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
And the dog felt it Wow, so we.
After that I was like, okay, Igot to find out what's going on
here Right.
Because we that I was like,okay, I, I gotta find out what's
going on here, right because wehad signed a year lease.
Yeah, and we had to eventuallyalso talk to this landlord the
landlord's.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Like no one stayed here longer than a year.
I just want to let you know Imean, you know, talk to them.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
They were just this normal couple and we told them
and they just looked at us likewe were insane I'm not kidding
you, but they were kind about itright you know to be real.
So we were trying to deal withit, but we were just telling
them like his, or we asked himlike is anything weird happened?

Speaker 2 (16:32):
they never lived there.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
They just renovated it to rent it right?

Speaker 2 (16:35):
so they had no, so they didn't know the history of
the place.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
Most likely okay so we this is a very curious thing
at the very end of our road, which you know, right into Hosea
Bell Williams, right on thecorner, there's this elderly man
who sat on his porchAfrican-American man and he just
sat there on his porch everyday and we'd wave at him.
He's the sweetest guy and wedecided just to go down and talk

(16:59):
to him one day about that houseyeah.
And he gave us a little insight.
He said you know it'sinteresting you guys are going
through some of that stuff therebecause he'd been there for so
long.
I knew the couple that livedthere and it was an
African-American couple.
It was the first house theybought and they loved that house
.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
They were so.

Speaker 3 (17:20):
Proud that they could have bought that house.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
You know they owned it, for you know they were
getting well in their age.
The older man finally passedaway and then she passed away in
the house and he felt like youknow, without us telling him
what was going on, he told usthe history.
We're just curious about itbecause we're living there,
right, and so, given that it wasa female voice that woke me up,

(17:43):
she lived in it.
He said she was very attachedto it.
I don't know, maybe it was her.
So that was a little intel onthat.
In the meantime, I'm onlinelooking up ghost hunters.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
I found this group up in North Georgia.
I couldn't tell you, to save mylife, the name of that group is
so long ago now.
Well, there's, there's onecalled ghost hunters of atlanta.
It may have been.
It may be that simple, but theyare.
It could be them.
Yeah, I should have looked itup before I came here.
I forgot.
But, um, but they were great.
They had, um, this woman whowas a coordinator, they had this
woman who was a psychic, andthen they had a two-person team

(18:20):
to come and set up all the gear.
So they came in, they they toldus what they were going to do.
They're going to stay most ofthe night.
They come in.
As I mentioned, stephen was achef and so he made this big
spread, laid it out all in thekitchen.
She said everyone come and helpyourself.
You know you like this food andthey had redone that kitchen,
by the way.
So when you'd walk into it andI loved it, it was a great

(18:42):
kitchen.
There were so many new cabinets, like you know, ton banks of
them here on the bottom as well.
So those guys were in my officesetting up and in our bedroom
setting up the coordinator andthe psychic, you know.
They were just trying to getsome information about the house
.
We walked them around the wholeproperty, we brought them in

(19:04):
the kitchen and said you guyshave some food and blah, blah,
blah.
So I mean, literally you haveto imagine you walk into the
shotgun house.
It's the living room, it's theden, it's the kitchen.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
Right, it's all compact, it's very compact, very
compact.
If anyone knows what a shotgunhouse is, it's a very compact
home.
Exactly, it's a very compacthome.
Exactly, it's almost like agiant hallway with a house in it
.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Yeah, it is like that , just compartmentalized right,
yeah.
So they got their food.
We sat again.
We sat in the den right besidethe kitchen, but you couldn't
see in the kitchen it was allblocked up, it was just a
doorway.
We sat in the den and ate andthey were talking and it was
very relaxed.
And then Stephenven said can Iget you guys some more stuff?

(19:52):
So he was walking back into thekitchen to get him some some
stuff and he screams at the topof his lungs steven does yes,
yeah, like we were like what thewe walk in you guys and every
one of the cabinets in thekitchen were open at the same
angle oh, wow every one of themwow and in 15 minutes that we
had gotten food, walked out andnobody else had been in there.
Two guys are still in the backsetting up and it was like
perfect.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Now, what did they think about this?

Speaker 3 (20:13):
They were flipped out .

Speaker 2 (20:15):
The ghost hunters.
Yes, they'd seen something likethat before, or no?

Speaker 3 (20:18):
You know, I can't remember if they had, I just
don't remember.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Now they also had a psychic with them.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
You said, yes, female psychic, okay, uh, she.
She was equally blown away aswell.
I mean, I think it would havebeen great if we'd had the
camera, because we did put acamera in the kitchen eventually
.
Nothing like that happened overthat would have been.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
That would have been cool to see if I see them
actually opening yeah but tohave all of us witness it was
quite bizarre, yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
So we just really felt like that.
We were, you know, going tohave a you know spectacular uh
thing, but really all that weended up seeing on the footage
because it was like the infraredstuff that you can see in the
night, because we just stevenand I went in our bedroom to go
to sleep Ghost team was in there, the psychic and the

(21:07):
coordinator left pretty early on, maybe about one or two, but
what they got were mostly orbs, especially in the kitchen.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Orbs going in and out of the laundry room into the
kitchen and then also, and forthose listening orbs are just
balls of light that float aroundthat supposedly are energy,
dark or light.
Yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
And then in the bedroom there was this weird
eerie thing in our bedroom.
So they put a camera in ourroom even though we went to
sleep.
You could see, this is sostrange.
It was dark, completely dark inthere.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Except for an outline of something moving like a body
.
It was like a body walkingaround.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Throughout the house.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
In the bedroom.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
In the bedroom, only In the bedroom.
And in the bedroom is where youwere tapped or shaken and your
name was called to.
In the bedroom.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Actually, the bedroom is where I couldn't sleep, so I
would go out and sleep on thecouch.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
So on the couch is where I couldn't sleep, so I'd
go out and sleep on the couch.
So on the couch is where thathappened.
But now this entity is in thebedroom.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
And all I can remember seeing is just an
outline of it moving toward thebed.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
And they saw that on camera, mm-hmm, so did they give
you that footage?

Speaker 3 (22:21):
It's been long gone, it's so long ago.
Yeah, I mean, this is like sothat was 2006, so is that like
15 so many years ago now, didyou?

Speaker 2 (22:30):
I may be wrong, but did you mention that this was a
news story?

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Wes Sargenton came out to interview us.
This was it did have a littleclip on it.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
I think I was living in Oklahoma at the time, so
probably what so?
So there was a clip on the newsabout this.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
There was a clip on WSP where he came and
interviewed us yeah, interesting.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Is there anywhere to find that?

Speaker 3 (22:50):
if I can find that, I will let you know.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
I would like yeah, because in future episodes I
would love to let the audiencebe able to look that up and not
selfishly for me to because I,like I know I can think, imagine
he's like maybe wes arjunson2006, ghost because here's the
problem.
Here's the problem with thesestories in my own too, by the

(23:13):
way and it seems to be this way.
I don't know why.
Um, there could be some reasonfor it.
It could be that the energiesthat show us these things from
time to time don't really wantto be revealed to the world.
Maybe it's for our own personal, maybe you're intruding on
their space, as it were, andthey just they don't.

(23:35):
It's not that they want to befamous.
They just want to let you knowthat they don't appreciate you
being here or they enjoy yourcompany.
I guess it could go the otherway.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
I guess it could.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Right.
So a lot of stories that youhear, whether it's ghosts, ufos,
miracles, those type of things.
They're rarely caught on anycamera Because, also, I think
they happen at the moments whenwe're just not ready for them,
and that's when they happen.

(24:05):
So if you knew this was goingto happen, yeah, you would set
it up like your cabinets in thekitchen.
Yeah.
If you knew, of course, inadvance that, hey, this is going
to happen at two o'clock, ofcourse you would set a camera
and watch it.
Exactly it just I think the waythese things happen, it's so
sporadic and and it just catchesyou off guard, that there's, in
most cases, people see in UFOs,they see it, but by the time

(24:29):
they get set up, usually it'sgone.
And now they just tell peopleand it's based on hearsay.
Now, what I will tell you ismillions of stories like this,
millions of stories about ghosts, spirits, unusual happenings,
ufos.
There are millions of thesestories.
So when you have that many, even if a quarter of those were

(24:52):
true, it's enough to talk about.
So, based on what I've seen, Ibelieve you, on what you're
telling me, I feel likeGhostbusters.
I believe you, I believe you.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
And it does come down , I guess, to this case From the
Ghostbusters movie, by the way.
There were so many witnessesthat saw this that it's just too
, it's just unexplainable.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
You know, it's not like somebody had time to go
around the corner, run aroundback and go do-do-do-do-do and
turn on this, but we dideventually move out early of
that house.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
You broke your lease and moved out early.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Yeah, and I think I guess maybe after they saw us on
WSB they were like okay, okay, good, go ahead and go.
We don't need more bad friends, yeah, yeah.
But I will say that this isweird because this popped in my
head.
I just thought I'd share thisIn the midst of my insomnia
there, because I mean it was.
It literally was like tortureChinese water torture.

(25:49):
You know, I'm a writer, so Iused to journal a lot in those
days.
So I'd read a book years priorto that called Conversations
with God.
So because my dog was at myside the whole time, I wrote
this little entry in my journalcalled Conversations with Dog
and literally, when you don'tget sleep, everything real just

(26:11):
comes right up in your face andI started journaling all this
stuff about.
You know where I am in my life, what's going on in my life?
I need to deal with this, Ineed to deal with that, I need
to deal with that.
It was very interesting how thatall culminated in me facing
some things that probably neededto be faced, you know sometimes

(26:35):
we'll just la la, la along andjust like I'll deal with that or
I'll address this later, butfor some reason all of that
going on my mom just passing.
All of that was going on.
It was just like okay, so ityielded some good stuff.
All that was going on was justlike okay, so it yielded some
good stuff.
It was able to catapult somethings in me that came to
fruition years later I'll justput it that way.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
Yeah.
So all in all would you sayyou're kind of happy that you
had that experience.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
You know, I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Now that it's over.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
Yeah, I don't understand a lot of things, but
it's given me a perspective that, like we mentioned before, not
a lot of people have had thishappen to.
It's given me a perspective, somewhere to come from and be
able to relate to others whohave that might be more freaked
out.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Right.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
