We’ve waited five years for noted singer songwriter Cris Jacobs to release new music. Fortunately his latest effort “One of These Days” is now available wherever you buy and listen to music and it’s one of my favourites of the year so far. Backed by the Infamous Stringdusters and produced by Jerry Douglas, the new album is a blend of rock, soul, gospel and of course bluegrass. Obviously we had to talk to Cris about the new record,...

Olustee represents JJ Grey and Mofro’s tenth album, a significant achievement for any band, especially when you consider it’s been eight years since we got new music from them. I’ve been a lifetime fan of JJ Grey and Mofro going back to the beginning, so it was a great treat to be able to chat with JJ about Olustee, the current activity of the band and more.

For the uninitiated, the High Hawks are a Bluegrass/Americana music supergroup featuring members of Leftover Salmon, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, Hard Working Americans, Railroad Earth and Great American Taxi. Mother Nature’s Show is actually the band’s sophomore effort and demonstrates a lot of growth in this band’s combined effort. I caught up with Vince Herman Leftover Salmon’s frontman and one of the High Hawks vocalists and g...
