Not knowing much of anything about BMX, Christin and I
spoke with Nitro Circus BMX rider and commentator for the
Games Ryan Williams and heard his reflection on our Ozzie's
performance at the recent BMX Park event.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Please put your mits together for Ryan Williams or Ah
Willie as he's often Oh, let's go.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Good morning, Ah, good morning made nic said early. I
was up last night cheering on the Australians and it
was epic. Talia. She wasn't actually one of the favorites
to get it, and she put down a solid run
and was a nail body finish. She managed to play
the metal position, so it was epic, so good.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
What's what does this mean to the BMX community in Australia.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Oh so much, especially for women BMX Like it'll just
inspire so many people to jump on a BMX bike.
And obviously she's enjoyed BMX so much. It's brought her
so far and maybe, just maybe it'll bring someone else
that far as well.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, a lot of kiddies out there, Ryan, who are
going to want to learn to do a triple front flip.
Oh god, what you did in Nitro Circus. Any any
words of advice for kiddies who are just starting out
in the sport. Do you do you go hard? Just
go for my first ever attempt of a trick, Mum
and Dad, I'm going to do a triple front flip?

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Or do you work up to that?

Speaker 4 (04:42):
That would be the silliest thing, David. I don't know
if you've seen the diving. That's like telling someone to
just go to the fifteen ten.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
You have no respect?

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Yeah, yeah, okay, Well, so you've got to be calculated,
work your way out. That's what I've done, and that's
why I've actually never had a surgery in my whole life,
and I've been riding since I was twelve. So just
be calculated. And that's what Natalie did and she's got
herself and an Olympic medal.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
So you can catch the full conversation on the Kristen
and Nights podcast via the link in the episode description,
on iHeart listener or wherever you get your podcasts. And
that's all we can squeeze into this day's six week
hat but you can tune in tomorrow to keep up
to date with the event schedule, and on Sunday there
will be a special edition of The Sport Report where
I reflect on some of the most notable points of
the games thus far. Catcher then amplify CBO is neither

Speaker 3 (05:35):
I've messed up the order. Let me fix this
