Virginia’s Mike Matney blends blues, funk, hard rock, and heavy metal into a must-hear sound. A singer, guitarist, and songwriter, he’s collaborated with rock giants, drawing inspiration from Billy Gibbons and Robin Trower. From a life-changing basement jam at eight to replacing Ron Keel in Tabu, Matney’s journey led to Nashville, mingling with icons like Adrian Belew. His 1980 album with White Boy and The Average Rat Band, now a $1,000+ collectible, was reissued in 2023 by Riding Easy Records. He played with David Allan Coe and earned music degrees. Next up, Canadian bassist/vocalist John "Fogman" Burkitt co-founded Zed Head, the "great white north's" southern boogie rock powerhouse.
