Little dancing you just did as you placed into the into the
living room area. Hey everybody, welcome back to
the podcast today. We oh, we don't have J rods.
We don't know episode we aren't.Do you?
Would you like to know what episode number we're on Hun?
I believe this is 10. Yes, you are correct.
So we are back for the Squirrel Hour episode 10.
We are on. It is Mother's Day by the way.

(00:21):
So happy Mother's Day to all themoms out there in any capacity.
Dads at our moms in which we areforum it's happy Mother's Day.
So we want to get that out to you right off the hop.
Before we begin, we want to makesure that it is a not safe word
podcast. You know, please do not play
this on your broadcasting unlessyou have that kind of an
environment that your workers just don't really care what we
talked about because we talked about weird shit and and it can

(00:43):
get absolutely weird. That's why we call it the
squirrel hour, which we absolutely love.
Before we begin I am your host, the creator of the show today I
am Rick Hunter AKA spider pup. I'm happy to be there and very
part of my wonderful puppy community, which we'll talk
about. Gotta get rid of the owl.
It's not happening. And before we begin, hi, we
would like to, of course, begin every episode.

(01:05):
We were trying to remember with a message from Sharon, the boys.
This podcast is recorded and brought to you from the
traditional and unseated territories of the Coquitlam
First Nations, and we thank you for allowing us to be here.
Thank you Hun. I appreciate that.
So right off the hop, we have a very special guest with us today
who I will be introducing shortly.
So we have Pop Tank with us today, which I know a lot of the

(01:28):
pups in the community are super excited to actually listen to
this show because they're going to learn a lot, which is great.
And we actually are missing quite a few of our guests
because it's Mother's Day. Of course we are missing Jukey.
It was part of the Maple Leaf Singers who we got the joy to
see last night at her show. We have J Rod, AKA Poptitan, who
is missing in action. We don't know if he's in a ditch

(01:49):
somewhere. He's probably passed out.
He drank too many beers last night.
That's right. I'm talking about you, J Rod.
We have T-bone, which is currently again doing something
for his mom. He may he is going to try and
show up for these Squirrels After Dark episode that's here.
And of course we have back sprinkles.
Who is all this? Hello, there we are.
So we have lots of time to get to know Tank, which is actually
really good because when we havea lot of guests on the show, we

(02:12):
know airtime limits. So it's going to be a fun
episode. That we that we have to be the
tank show it is. Going to be.
I've got questions. I've got answers.
So sprinkles is has a backgroundin.
She's our resident journalist, yeah.
So Sprinkles always has the realgood questions.
Are these, are these going to bethe hard questions?

(02:33):
Yes. Yes, but not intentionally.
It's my way because I want to genuinely get to know you.
So they're thinkers. Absolutely.
And we love it. We get more and more comments
that people are always like, oh,that's a good question.
Oh, that's a great question. And they generally come from
Sprinkles, which is why. So we love her for that.
Yeah. And of course we have Silent
Peter in the background and the kids, and we have Spaz who's

(02:53):
snoring away. He's lucky who has developed a
foot fetish for apparently thingdefinitely tanks feet.
And my feet are wet now. Oh yeah.
OK. Just all over the We're in the
kitchen. He's just licking and drooling.
It was like catnip, all righty. Yeah, yeah.

(03:14):
And he has the same now. He's giving you the stink eye.
He heard his name and he's just staring at you, giving you the
stink eye. Go back to sleep.
So today's episode will be audioonly.
It will not be airing on video for for those that are that are
concerned about it. So today's episode will be only.
Listened on Spotlight for this. I actually wore a very nice
sweatshirt for. This.
Oh well, too bad. You can wear it next time.

(03:34):
You can wear that. You can wear the same thing you
can. You can.
You're being sarcastic. I.
Am I? See that?
I was just going to say it. There's a stain.
Oh. So it's one of my shirts fair.
Everything I have is a state. Everything I have has a stain on
it. So what we do before we
introduce our guest and we have some questions for you and get
to talking about it, We always this this show was always about

(03:57):
happy hour. It was created during the
pandemic where we get together every two weeks and we try and
get together or share some fun, have some drinks and touch bases
with everyone's lives of what's happened, especially positivity.
So before I start, does anybody else Sharon or Sprinkles have
anything? I went to two concerts.
Also our concert whore. I like that I'm a music or

(04:23):
absolutely ACDC. How was that I heard?
It was, it was fun. I mean, I'll be honest, his
voice is not there. He was kind of frustrated,
wasn't there, but I appreciate he didn't lip sync.
The band had a good time. The people there had a good
time. They knew it was the last time
they were going to see ACDC, buteveryone was in good spirits.

(04:44):
Nobody cared. Very good vibe.
Excellent. Lots of fathers bringing their
sons, so it was a generational thing.
Did you get a pair of the souvenir light up horns?
I did, my friend Robbie bought them for me but I told him he
can safe keep them and then we found five on the floor after.
Oh wow, and the. Apparently they weren't cheap

(05:05):
either. They were $80.00 per pair and we
found four on the way out. They were just dumped on the
floor in the hallway. And I found one on the sky
train. So I gave it all to my friend
Robbie to just, I don't know, marketplace it at some point.
Well, good for them. If you're going to a good cause,
someone will make some money outof them.
That was the night I met met Mitch at Charlie's because he

(05:25):
came in wearing, yes, that's right, that that ACDC earns.
The T-shirts for $90.00 though. That's swag.
It's a. Concert.
Not even what tour dates? Just the basic ACDC and the name
of the tour. Yeah, $90.00.
I'm sure they sold out. They didn't.
People don't really have unfortunately have a lot of

(05:45):
money, so they a lot of people skip the souvenirs.
It was the lightest souvenir lineup I've seen because it was
just so expensive. I feel like you could buy a A/C
DC T-shirt at like a discount store.
You can, most people actually bought theirs from the Rock shop
on Granville for 25 bucks. Yeah.
Oh I love that store. Or just go to Walmart, get a

(06:06):
Kirkland signature T-shirt and wool vinyl.
Decal it for you. I actually found one at
Michael's Craft store for $10. And if you have your 40% off
coupon even better. I actually.
Didn't do those anymore. It's Sprinkles.
I found a back end and how to get that coupon.
Oh, I know you're good at finding back ends.

(06:28):
Thank you. And one more concert I'm so
happy for because it's, I call it Australia Week.
Kylie Minow. Really, I was so I took so much
video of that show. I was so excited.
Ask Silent Peter how excited I was.
The countdown to it. So yes, Kylie Minone, ACDC.

(06:49):
Cool. What?
Sorry, what Hon. There's 8000 gay guys there 8.
1000 gay guys like gay. Guys, yes, but two of them are
checking you out and the first time we saw Kylie in Vegas, two
of them even though they he was straight.
I remember just telling you. You told us that story.
Yeah, Totally getting checked, Peter.
Getting checked out. Two of the one of them tried to

(07:09):
offer him a drink. Well, that's just took it.
That's a compliment. I'm jealous I have never been
offered a drink. Really, Peter got he.
Get it, but you get your ass grabbed.
All the time, but that's different.
Oh, they were checking him out. Even though he's 100% straight
and with me and it's like I do. It's kind of cute.
There. You.
There you go. What you can't have is more

(07:31):
desirable. Absolutely.
But Peter is kind of cute it He's got the whole cute dad bod
thing going on too, which is becoming a thing nowadays.
You're a thing. You're you're, you're trending
and trending, trending and yeah, trending and becoming desirable.

(07:52):
Han, did anything positive happen to you in the last last
two weeks since we had a podcast?
I'm happy to get back on you on that one.
Really OK, well, I know I had a great I had a great week.
I had a great two weeks. Think about it.
I think the the biggest one for me personally was that I took a
weekend off for myself to do things for myself, which I never

(08:14):
generally do. The first was that I booked off
Friday from the liquor store to attend and for the first time in
since January was two weeks ago to attend and help run my
favorite event. I got to go out and run and the
dog and assist with the dog house, which you know from all
of my listeners and and everybody that around here and

(08:35):
and friends and family know how much it means to be in the
community. So I finally got a chance to go
back and and assist which has been months.
And I was able to be there too. I know which I know you booked
it off. It was great.
We were both there. We had so much fun.
That's awesome. I you know what, I love it.
It was great. Four months almost was going way
too much to me. I was having social, I was
having anxiety from not being out.
We don't, you know, I don't get to see anybody.

(08:56):
So it was important. So that was huge for last
weekend and then this weekend I booked off Friday again from the
liquor store because Friday I was blessed to go down to the
LGBTQ plus Community Center on to stop Davie St. on Butte and
do a Crisis It's Okay workshop for the community at the
Community Center. This was asked about four months

(09:18):
ago. They know it because there's
only myself, one other active volunteer in the BBC crisis
center that's openly gay. So it meant a lot to me to go
down and do this presentation for those youth down there.
So. Who?
Who are your attendees? Who are the audience?
An age group there were about 25youth from 18 to 24 that are all
LGBT community. So there are a lot of them were
on the spectrum, which is why wedidn't allow.

(09:40):
Narrow. Divergent.
So they were just amazing. But these kids were just
absolutely. And some of them are just
brilliant. And yeah, they just come.
But they they they they had goodquestions.
Like they drilled us. I.
Think it speaks a little bit to your age that you're calling 18
to 24 year olds kids? Absolutely.
I'm in my 50s. They're kids.

(10:00):
I'm looking at, I was side, I looking at you like.
Absolutely not. I called most of the pups kids.
The location he was at was Q, the letter Q Unity Center.
Yeah, for queers and they like. Yes, no, they're kids.
Yeah, they're kids. They're they're like 18 years
old. They're kids, Not fairness.

(10:21):
At ACDC I call the 25 year olds kids.
Too. Oh yeah, without a doubt.
But they were brilliant and theywere really smart.
We learned so much information like when we were doing the
presentation, it was really great cuz when we got to a point
and we actually asked them, has any of them heard about Foundry
BC, Foundry dot CBR Foundry BC, which is a great center down in

(10:42):
Granville and it's online. And I think about 70% of the,
the youth that were there actually raise their hands and
they knew what that was. So that was really cool.
So I booked that off yesterday. I booked off the Saturday from
the meat draw, which we love doing the Crossroads Hospice
Society to attend our I don't even know the first meeting in a

(11:03):
long time to hopefully maybe come up with a new community, a
pop community, pop community. Building a safer community, I
guess is the best way to do it without saying, you know,
branding it cuz we're not there yet or what we're gonna do.
But it was just nice to be therefor an included.
Vampire 2 point. Oh, oh God no, don't say.
That yeah, just better organizing.
Yes, like, I mean, I'm like justsomething that's nice.

(11:26):
It was positive. I've been very blessed though to
be in the background. Like I'm very blessed that I get
to work with Tank and a lot of things.
So that he was let me know about, you know, the pride
parade. I, I'm involved in the kind of
the background information. So it's, it's just, it's really
nice to be included and I love it.
It's a passion, but I I've been.Forced into it by marriage.
He loves it. He's lying.

(11:48):
Volunteered my truck? How many?
You volunteered me pulling the wagon last year.
That was really appreciated. We were very grateful.
But I know. And you love that shirt, though
you wore it. You wore it last weekend too.
Support human. Support human on the front and
then on the back, it says, petting aloud.

(12:10):
That's what got you in, you know.
And then you know. It's funny because I had people
petting me. I'm like no, no, no, not me.
The pups go pet the pups. And then of course we attended a
kick ass party, which I I would have voluntarily.
I was not going to go because I was tired and I was just cranky
and I didn't want to go home. But I'm happy we did because it.

(12:30):
Was the one thing that I've all and told him to do.
He did. I was really cranky, I was tired
and we went to Doghouse XL, which was we we will talk about
that because I want to hear youropinion.
But anyway, that was an absolutefucking crazy party positivity
around. I didn't I was worried about the
venue because I don't like the venue that's upstairs right.
But when I went downstairs, wow, that's even yesterday was

(12:54):
mentioned. It's nice.
Yeah, that's crazy. Like it is.
It's just. It's it's the crowd that attends
the venue upstairs. That's a little sketch ball.
It's much straighter, yes. Yeah.
Villa Studios often gets used for gay events, but honestly
it's we're the crowd. Well, absolutely.
It was huge. Loved it.
It got it had that grunge, I think grunge feel to it.

(13:16):
Yeah, Warehousey, kind of. It exposed brick.
It was beautiful columns. Yeah.
Yeah, solid wood. Yeah, it was really nice.
And yesterday in our meeting they had made made mention of
it. You know, I think it was Daddy
aids that made mention of just it was really nice to
segregation. You get dance floor of the play
area, the the upstairs. I got to meet finally the venues

(13:39):
and the creators of Husky underground because they were
supposed to be in the podcast and I haven't heard back from
them. Shout out to you because they
still haven't heard from you about to be on the podcast.
Shame on them. But I got to meet them for the
first time, which was really nice because I haven't seen them
because I love the fact that they're doing it and I want to
support them. They're awesome and it's nice
that we have a local business that and hope they're doing
well. Yeah.
And they succeed because I will totally support them.

(14:00):
We put their links on the show, yeah.
They they've been very supportive of doghouse.
They've donated a lot of they'vedonated loaner hoods for people
to try on, which honestly I think was a brilliant marketing
scheme for themselves. Yeah, but also great.
You know, it's one of those win win.
And they've given they've also donated quite a few prizes.
So so they've been really supportive of us and and I'm in

(14:21):
the same boat as you. I really want them to succeed,
absolutely any opportunity I getto try to promote them and we
were really happy to have them there at the party.
I was so excited when I saw themshow up.
It was like I I cuz I I guess I should have thought.
I'm sure there was post that they were going to be there.
We'll get into it a little bit more, but for those of you that
are unaware, Tank is the creatorand runner of Doghouse and

(14:44):
Doghouse XL, so he has a lot of info on that, which is why he
knows so much right now. Failed to be mentioned.
Would you like anything else? Coffee before we begin I.
I'm still working on this OK. Thanks.
So without being doing that, didyou think about anything that's
happened in the last two weeks? I had lots.
I I always got shit going on. You, you always got lots.

(15:06):
Yeah. I mean, work, work has been
going really well lately. I I mean, this past work week is
was ridiculous busy. I'm pretty sure I put in my 40
hours by Wednesday so it was a it was a long week but a fun
week. Downside not a good thing but
very down. Upsetting is my best friend has

(15:30):
now moved to northern BC so I'veI've lost my bestie so that was
sad. Don't like that?
No. But now you have a reason to
visit Northern BCI. Ain't going up there you crazy?
That's a 17 hour drive you. Can fly.
I was just going to take you to fly still 3 hours from the
nearest airport. The closest you could fly is

(15:53):
Terrace. Wow, she really knew how to get.
She knew how to get rid of you. Oh well, it's worse than that
because it's it's like a 17 hourdrive and 1/2 hour ferry ride
and no cell service up there too, so.
Wow, she just chose as. Isolation.
Far away from humanly possible. Apparently.

(16:15):
Wow. She needs a satellite phone.
OK, well, she's, she's got an iPhone, so she, she has the
ability for Wi-Fi calling. Oh, OK.
So that's, that's good. Well, thank goodness for that.
Yeah. And.
This might be shocking, but Androids do have that as a
feature as well. Oh.
Burn those are less. Than phones all right we won't

(16:38):
that's a whole that that's like iPhone we're.
Supposed to talk about politics?God.
Well, no phones. We've never.
You know what? We've never.
We've never had a cell phone debate.
No, that's a good topic. Do you?
Feel like that's going to open up a whole.
Can of work talking to your microphone.
That's going to open up a whole can of worms.
It don't matter anyhow, Alpha looks superior.

(16:58):
Excuse. Me.
You know where the door is. All right.
So we'll, we'll, we'll discuss that at a later date.
We'll just come. Let's see, we'll put a pin in
that. Let's just put a pin in that.
Yeah, we'll just come back to that on another episode.
With that being said, our guest Hank is here with us today, so
this is your time to actually introduce yourself.
Before we start, you start getting grilled with questions.

(17:21):
Oh wait, I'm not. Gonna just just one one quick
thing. Do you know of something good
that happened to me over the last week, two weeks that I
forgetting you washed my truck. That was great.
Thank you. You we went out last night.
We went to the Flapper Lounge for the first time, which was a
great experience. We went to Juki Show and you
talked to me last night. Is that a special event?

(17:44):
Hey, we've been together for 20 years.
So yes, yes. Apparently it wasn't enough
because he had a suitor come over this morning.
I don't. Know what you're talking about?
That was here for almost an hour.
That was in the Dungeon Slash Playroom.
Mine lasted like 30 seconds so it wasn't enough for him.
So before Tank arrived on today's podcast, the the

(18:05):
question that Tank asked was, you know, are there anything
often table and like well, besides the religion of politics
that you've already discovered, pretty much everything else is
up for grabs. Just saying, including tanks
ass. Hey, I Sharp.
Look on face. From the conversation you were
having earlier, I think that's been grabbed enough over the
weekend 0. Yeah, that's true.

(18:28):
I didn't say that. Well.
Enough is a word, but, and besides, it wasn't my butt that
was getting grabbed last night, it was my boobs.
Yeah, it was your pectorals, Yeah.
Now I'm curious. When you stand up, I'll probably
look. Hey Tank has a nice ass.

(18:49):
Looks better in a jock shop too.How do you know again?
Oh, right. I follow you the.
Pride Parade. Pride Parade I follow you on the
social 3. 100,000. Dollars, PPE, yeah, I was gonna
say I'm like, yeah, I I think we've seen that before.
The the parade I follow you on your socials, I'm on your
private telegram are. You on his only fan.

(19:13):
I don't have. I don't pay for that.
No, I also don't have an only. Fan No Yeah, See, we just get it
on Telegram. We have other sources.
Oh, so you're like the discount of porn?
You got your. Sources.
Oh yeah, absolutely. And if it's not direct from him,
we know people that can get it. Yeah, he's.
Going red. Maybe I'm too easy I think.

(19:35):
I think I should put some pay walls up.
And you're going on the puppy cruise, slut.
Oh. I hope so.
I mean no I'm I am going on the puppy cruise.
The slut part I'm is what I'm hoping.
For no IA 100% if Spider was going it would I wouldn't see
him the entire time. I'd be locked in the room and
he'd be out, just he wouldn't beable to walk on the way home.

(19:59):
I guess thrown under the bus so much it's terrible.
There's no support. Shit, we did that vote back in
season 1 or season 2 and even our European listeners voted you
as the most sluttiest. I'm a good pup.
You, you're a slutty pop. Do you hear him?

(20:19):
Even silent Peter went. Don't destroy my image in the
community. I'm an Angel.
I think you better check the mirror there because that Halo
is so tarnished and rusted out. Small spends more time in the
stalls than I do. You've gone on to the dance

(20:41):
floor and 30 seconds after started dancing ended up in the
stall. At least small works on a guy a
bit in the back before going to the stall.
Fair. I I've run these events and I'm
so oblivious to all this you. Just need to start showing up.
To my own events yeah, there's alot happening that's a very.

(21:02):
Good question for you on. That, yeah, that, that, that
that was a great night. That was a whole discussion,
that one. It was it was fun.
But with that being said, let's go back.
Because This is why we call it the Squirrel Hour.
Back to tank. Let's go back and introduce our
guest tank today, which I'm veryhappy to be on to be on today's
podcast. I hope you're enjoying yourself
already so far. Introduce yourself and tell us a
little about you, whatever you'dlike to share.

(21:22):
Well hello, I'm tank. I actually didn't say hello yet,
so. Exactly.
Hi, welcome to the show. Yeah, I'm a pup.
I've been a pup for 2 1/2 years.Yeah, I kind of so.
And if you count that, that kindof backs right into the the
pandemic. So I kind of got into it around
the same time thing that things were just starting to open up.

(21:45):
We were about the same. And some I'm I'm one of the new
pups. I'm not not an OG and when I
first tried to get involved, I showed up at Pump Jack on Friday
night that was supposed to be the social and there was like 4
people at the back of the pub having a beer.
And I was like, this is kind of sad.
And I was like, it looks like there's a lack of leadership in

(22:08):
this community. I think, you know, So like this
being who I am, I decided to step up and, and make that
different. So, so you know, over the last
couple of years, I, I, I, I kindof went from like being nobody
to suddenly being a leader in the community.
You're definitely a leader in the.
Community, which is that definitely ruffled some
feathers, right, like a nobody walking in and taking over.

(22:30):
So but but I did, I definitely ruffled feathers and I and I
stepped in and really tried to actually, Oh yes, definitely.
And there was definitely O GS that were pretty upset with how
I was quote UN quote changing things.
You should know this as well Spider, because for a short time
as you've been a pup and the amount of respect you gained in
the community, some of the Ogs are not.

(22:52):
They weren't happy with you either.
And I definitely, I brought a new energy to it, yes, right.
And so, but like, I've always been a very open person, so
which, which kind of runs counter to quite a few people in
the community. So for example, I try to promote
the event and I try to take photos and that sort of thing.
And, and definitely there's beensome fair constraints put on

(23:13):
that in order to respect people's privacy.
But at the same time, I'm tryingto balance, OK, how do we make
this accessible to people, not be gatekeepers, but also, you
know, not be gatekeepers but also respect people's privacy.
But try to promote the event, try to provide, promote the
monthly social. And we've gone from, like when I

(23:34):
started coming, like a handful of people in the back of the
club to now I'm starting to haveconcerns about how I need to
move furniture to make room for more people because it's getting
so packed in there. Yeah, we're getting over 100
attendees. Absolutely.
And that's an average. That's not just them us, that's
not even a special event like a Pride event.
No, that's a monthly event. That's getting a little annoying

(23:56):
because if you want to get from one end of the room to the
other. It takes a little bit.
Yeah, so, so I'm, I'm very proudof that.
I'm very excited to see where the community is going.
And I'm, I'm, you know, very proud to be.
There we go. Involved in that, did you want
me to do like the last two weekskind of thing, I mean?
Tell us something about our listeners are this is the first

(24:18):
time hearing so we we do for theless.
You're more than welcome to explain, especially the last
couple of weeks especially. Obviously we want to hear about
the dog house. Yeah, well, in the last two
weeks it's been actually pretty eventful.
I mean, it's it went from like nothing happening.
I guess spring has sprung because suddenly a whole bunch
of stuff started happening. Yep.
Like I had like I think 3 weekends in a row go go dancing.

(24:40):
Oh, I'm also a go go dancer. There you go.
I was wondering if you were going to say.
That yeah. So three like, yeah, three
weekends in a row, go, go. I was supposed to go go dance
this weekend as well, but they cancelled that.
The the venue cancelled. That it was a great go go
dancer. But I did end up go go dancing
anyways on Friday night for a friend in Richmond.
That was really cool event It was some a couple of Brazilian

(25:02):
DJs put on this event. Cool.
And that was called. Zodiac.
Zodiac. Yeah, I've never heard of that.
And I don't think it was particularly well promoted, but
but I do love Latino dance musicand and they they brought it.
It was really good. Nice.
And then last night I went to Rice Cake.
Yeah, which is a local Asian themed.
Yeah, is we never heard of rice cake, Yeah.

(25:25):
And I and I, I connected with one of the organizers a a few
months ago and they, they've actually asked me to go go for
pride for their event. So.
Very nice SO. Like very, very busy things
going on. Two weeks ago was my birthday,
which is a really big deal. Should be.
I mean, I didn't really even have a party or anything.
I did. I had a gigantic party.

(25:45):
I really didn't have a party. I know a puppy who brought you a
birthday. Yeah, so, so, so my birthday
itself, it was on the 28th and it was like I didn't do anything
at all. I went to the gym.
Well, that's probably good because with the busy ass
weekends you've been having, yeah.
But it was, yeah, I turned the big four.
O OK, yeah. Well, good for you sweetie.

(26:07):
You look great for 40. Thank you, by the way.
Yeah, Philly, Yeah. I don't.
I don't feel whatever 40 is supposed to feel like.
After podcast, I'll tell you allabout it.
Let me tell you what it's like to be like above 40 female.
I discovered last weekend, sadly, that apparently, as far
as we know, I am the oldest active puppy in the Vancouver

(26:34):
age of. Community that is hard to
believe. Not not puppy age.
Actually not puppy age. Human age.
Human Age. Yeah, I get that.
Yeah, I'm actually even older than Frisky.
Yeah, OK. Well, I don't think Frisky is
the oldest. No, I am.
No, I mean other than frisky you.
There's got to be older, other older pups before new we.

(26:55):
Literally, I mean. We're having a whole discussion.
I'm going to make it my mission to prove you wrong.
Please, I would think for you toprove me wrong.
Keep in mind, Gunny Sir and Daddy H are not pups themselves,
although they are very active inthe pup community as well.
They're not pups, but they're not pups.
No, they're not pups. OK so yes please if you find
another puppy older more than meI would love to know.

(27:18):
As of right now, sadly I apparently am.
So anyway, not to take away fromthat but my mental age, I'm
barely 18 so I'm fine. Which is why I love the pocket.
I'm young at heart like you doesn't.
That make your husband a pedophile, no.
No, no, he's 18. He's legal.
There you go, I was. Gonna say if 25 year olds are
kids. I was gonna say to that 25 year

(27:39):
olds are kids. That makes me a pedophile.
There's the laughter. Don't worry.
See, Wrangler, We got Isabel. We got Isabel laughing without
a. Daddy.
And there it is. Yeah, Wrangler got his.
Wrangler got his sprinkle fixing.
We listen to the podcast. Funny, because you're called a
pedophile. And I mean, if they can crawl,
they're in the right position. Come on.

(28:01):
It's terrible we are not discussing that, but we are not.
Wow, OK for our listeners please.
That was terrible. That is so bad, yes, so.
Bad it. Was terrible, OK.
I've never heard of. That we do not condone that
comment from Sharon the boys. Wow.

(28:25):
Like I said, nothing off the table.
Well, something should be off the table.
Barely comments. I can breathe.
Now, so 5 five days after my birthday was my birthday was
Monday, Friday. And this wasn't intentional,
it's just the days that it landed on.
I had my first major, I've been running the Doghouse Social for
a couple of years and I decided let's make it big, let's have an
actual dance party. So we had it, which was a

(28:46):
ticketed event, and it was. Did you meet profit?
No, no, I did not break even unfortunately.
So like from that financially I'm there's some tightening to
be made and also I think I'll get more numbers next time
anyways. I know you'll get more numbers
not. Just because everything else
like like the front end, like the back end, nobody needs to

(29:09):
know about like my finances. Yep.
No, that's. But but the front end,
everything went beautifully right.
Sort of everything. Everything from the decorations
to the entertainment. It was amazing.
To, you know, just the just sortof the general user experience
of just like or the attendee experience of of, you know,
buying their tickets, you know, getting going through security,

(29:30):
having Co check, Yep, all that sort of stuff, bar service.
So everything was good. Yeah, we never heard.
I have not heard one negative comment.
Yeah. So I think we, we, we did a
great job. The DJs were superb.
We had like we had like we had three, like as you mentioned,
three different spaces. We had the sort of lounge space
that I spent a lot of time decorating, turned it into sort
of an indoor playground essentially like a park.

(29:53):
An indoor park. Yeah, it was with Astroturf and
park benches and lamps, and it was fire hydrants.
It was super cool. It was really cool.
Do we have a lot of the pictures?
I have I have pictures. OK, I just because I mean, I
just like to post some of the pictures to the Squirrel hour.
Sure. So people get to see it.
I'll send them to you. Yay.
They'll be like from the night before when we're setting up.

(30:14):
So it's not like the, the lighting kind of is just very,
you know, work like. Well, that's fine work like
lighting, but love sharing on the Instagram?
At least that way listeners can go to the Squirrel Hour page and
see and what we're talking about.
Yeah, which would be really niceto share with them.
So we had a great dance floor. We did a great job.
We built these beautiful LED signages, signage like a sign
boards to just decorate the place.

(30:37):
We had like a very discreet curtained off a dark room for a
play space for people that were fully equipped, fully equipped
with furniture that we a lot of the furniture we built really
those benches we actually built.I don't know.
I wasn't in there because I was in tactical gear and it would
have taken me 45 minutes to start a tactical puppy.
So I'm also a woodworker that other.

(30:57):
Skills that I knew, Yeah. You have many skills.
Yeah, so they're just very, verybasic solid benches.
But they they did a great job with, you know, exercise mats on
them. But we had a sling in there and
everything but and properly lit,it was just, it was really nice.
And anyone who didn't want to know about it didn't know about
it, right? It was very discreet.
So it was, it was just choose your own adventure.

(31:19):
Have a great time in the way that you want.
Yeah, next time I'm going on a freaking jock strap not in
tactical over here. I won't make the same mistake
twice. You were also on high alert for
doghouse as well, yeah. I didn't, yeah, I didn't.
I don't tend to get particularlyinvolved in the sort of the
saucer activities for the social, but for doghouse I all

(31:42):
of the work for me, not all of it, but 90% of it was before and
after good. And so I was mostly able to just
engage and socialize when I was actually at the when I was at
the party, which I thought I felt was really important and
but I did get into the dark room.
You did, yes. Good for you.
And it was very brief. It was like 20 minutes, but it
was very. That's brief.

(32:03):
Efficient. It was very efficient.
Satisfying. Yes, I like the already
efficient. I've already got a dozen
questions for you. Sprinkle's mind is already
racing. Be prepared.
Yeah, you'd be nice. No, it was.
It was a great weekend. And a game, I think everyone's

(32:23):
looking forward to it, a game. And I think that the next time
around you'll have a lot more people willing to get involved.
I had a huge amount of help fromlike, I had too many like like
Daniel was amazing at wrangling people for for helping.
I'm glad he's become part of thecommunity.
He started throwing at people. I was like, OK, OK, you can stop
now. Good.

(32:44):
More. The better, yeah, but so I had a
great, great amount of help. It was really good.
And and I was there was no real drama before or after.
I didn't hear or feel that at all, yeah.
No, I was very well organized. There's no like huge roadblocks
or anything like that. And it was just like, I felt
very comfortable doing it so. Nice.

(33:05):
We'll have to discuss the beverage choices at the bar,
though. That is totally outside of my
control, yeah. There you go.
Disappointing. Yeah, whatever.
Live with it. What the hell was I drinking
anyhow? I don't heinekens maybe let.
Me know when we get to the question period.
Jeez, but I will definitely be running another vet.

(33:28):
Good and we're and we're excited.
So I again, the link to the podcast, to the events and
stuff. Let me know cuz obviously even
if we're not here, we'll promoteit and link it on the podcast.
Yeah. So it's the important thing to
get the word out. Well the event is called
Doghouse Excel and it is doghousexl.com is the website.

(33:49):
Good, so it's already well established.
It's yeah, it's been there the whole time.
It's new, but it's there. Yeah, and it is not a pop only
event. It is.
It is a all inclusive everyone'swelcome.
I was there, Yeah. And I'm not a pup.
You are not. I support human.
But thank you. And you have to be OK with pups,

(34:10):
obviously. Obviously, but but I'm glad it's
you. Like I said, everyone's welcome.
Yeah, which is thank you for pointing it out.
And the venue was amazing. And yeah, we're excited for the
next one, which is gonna be crazy.
But we're just, yeah, the community, we, I became a pup I
think shortly after or around the same time that you did.
It was just prior because I, like you, went.

(34:33):
And we have a friend of ours whowas in the rubber community of
VML and he kept telling me when I decided to become a pup, I
went for my first two years ago.My first parade I just wore my
pup, but I went down to the Pride parade. 2023.
Yeah, for the whole day. And he kept telling me about all
these Telegram groups and he's like, this was back in the day
and like you said, there was nothing.

(34:55):
There was no group, there was noconversation.
There was no meat. I used to go to pump jacks at
any given time. And like you, I'd look back and
see like randomly two or three pups in the back, so.
And and that year, the Pride parade, we didn't even have a
group. We absolutely were we, we the
Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, let us like latch onto theirs,
Yes. So there's like a handful of us

(35:16):
with them. Yep, that's right.
And that's why I was there on the side and I, I know the
puppy. I can't remember who it was,
been so long ago, but they saw me on the side and they came
over and gave a little paw thing.
And then we ended up at pump checks afterwards where I met
Toby for the first time. And he was the one who actually
said that, hey, we have a new Telegram chat.
It had just kind of restarted just a few days prior.

(35:38):
And he was the one who invited me in and say, hey, just message
me, blah, blah, blah. And, you know, look where we are
now and the community's growing and we're so excited.
I'm excited about this guest, actually.
Out of all the guests, there youare.
Wow and. That's a lot saying.
I'm actually very excited about this guest.
It takes me a lot to be excited about.
Again, Well, Jukie's already incredibly upset.

(36:01):
So if, if it's OK with you in next season, would you like to
come back? Sure.
Because if not, Jukie will absolutely be so upset because
she was not happy that she missed you today.
She knows how much community means to me.
She knows how much you mean to me.
I might not sure what, but I mean, you know what, we've
worked together a lot and I've been very honored to be allowed
to work with Tank on a lot of things and be part of the dog
house and the community is huge. We're working on the Pride

(36:24):
Parade, which we were discussing, which, you know, for
next year we have. Well, this year.
Or this year, yeah, 2025 Hubbiestank or Hubbies truck is gonna
be in it. So we're super excited.
So yeah, Juki must have it. Like I said, next two weeks from
now. It's Daddy H and Frenchy's
fourth time on the podcast. Like everyone the first time
they showed up and we're like wedon't know what we're gonna talk

(36:47):
about literally 4 times. They just they just have so much
fun and every time it comes backto bring more energy and to have
even multiple at the same time. But I'm really feeling your
energy. I really like your energy.
And I say that because, just like me, you're very
organizational. I was wondering why you were so
low. Hello.

(37:08):
There you are. All right.
So, anything else you'd like to share with us?
Well, I guess just that on the last point is that we are
organizing the, the a group for of pups for the Pride parade
Spider and I, this is our secondyear doing it.
Yep, last year we did it. I I tried to do it sort of
collaboratively with the Leathers and the rubbers, which

(37:30):
didn't go so well. It really did.
There was definitely a lot more pups than there was.
Yeah. Other communities, yeah.
Arguably the Leathers are more organized than us, yes, but I
would say that we definitely beat them out in the enthusiasm
department. Absolutely.
Participation. We were super.
Passionate. Yeah, and I can give out stuff
this year. Yeah.

(37:50):
So, yeah, So we're, we're, we were pretty decently organized
last year. We're gonna be even more
organized this year. Yes, we'll be putting out for
people to apply to to participate pretty soon and and
it'll be just this time we're not working collaboratively with
the other two groups. So which means it'll be entirely
pups. We hope that they join us as
their own groups, but. I think I'm sure they will,

(38:12):
yeah. But if they choose not to,
that's fine. We're gonna be, we're gonna be
this just big, huge group of really excited pups.
It's grown. Marching in the Pride parade.
And a human. And a two and a support human.
Well, I'm sure Harold will be there too.
Yeah, absolutely. And Juki is jumping on board.
She's actually gonna sit in the back and hand out water and
stickers and keep guys. She's so she's even.

(38:34):
My bestie is going to be in the parade this year.
She is super excited to be in the back of the.
Truck and yeah I'm gonna be I'm gonna be go go dancing Friday
night go go dancing Saturday night and then pride parade and.
Then go go dancing afterwards. Probably no.
I actually bought a ticket to anevent because cuz I want to
actually just party. Good thing for once, let loose,
right? Just let loose.
No fun. You'll still go go dance at this

(38:56):
event, it'll just happen. You'll end up up on a stage.
Maybe, but maybe not go go dancing.
It happens sometimes. I know all the I'll know all the
go go dancers. Yeah, so.
That's what happened last time. Well, yeah, And you're really
good at it. Not easy.
It's like, I just love it. Like the show.

(39:18):
It's not an easy thing to do. It's like, takes a lot of
energy, and you do it very well.Thank you.
You're welcome. Got it.
OK. Sprinkles is dying.
All right, now we are into quiz time.
Yeah, we got. We're at that point in the show
that it's all right. Go ahead.
You are about to get drilled. You get one question, then we
have another if anybody, if we have questions and then we'll

(39:41):
ask another because again, we'reso lucky.
We, we are, we are missing a lotof our staff, but it does give
every a real good representationthat we get to really ask you
questions. So you have much, so much air
time where everyone gets to knowyou.
And before that we get 2 sprinkles.
What's the secret word? I'm doing my shout out to my
wonderful stinky pups. So my stinky pups is my pack

(40:02):
International Chase, who was my handler?
He always have been was he's from Toronto.
Tegel and his boyfriend Ellos are from the Netherlands.
And our third puppy is Billy from the UK.
And we met originally on a Telegram chat, and we have been
family ever since. And we call ourselves a Stinky
Pups, which is if you ever see the Stinky Pups, that's why.
But now we do a shout out and wemake.

(40:23):
Do you remember Pee Wee Herman's?
Yes. The Playhouse.
Yeah. We had that secret word.
No, they would always make a secret.
Word. Because you're just a kid.
You're just a. Kid.
Just a kid. Just.
A kid. Just a kid.
So what we did is now with everyepisode, we come up with a
secret word that we throw on thepodcast so that I know they're

(40:44):
listening. So if they listen to it, then
they will message me and let me know what the word.
That's a test. It totally is.
So what's the secret word? Good call.
All right, Silent Peter did. The secret word for the main
show was ACDC. All right, done.
I already have my word for my show.
Absolutely, we have the secondary show.

(41:05):
With that being said, obviously I could not go.
Because last week we only got 15minutes left.
I know of the main show, but then we have an entire other
episode. Yeah, so get the.
Question now, All right, Sprinkles.
OK, I'm only excited because I'mfeeling your vibe.
You know what I'm seeing right now?
What are you seeing? Do you remember The Croods?

(41:25):
Who here has watched the animation movie The Croods?
Tank says no. Sprinkles says no.
I absolutely have. Remember it when you're really
unleash the baby. Release the baby.
Yeah, right now. And Cage late.
Anyway, to our guest. And again, I'm excited because
actually I got introduced to youon the chat when I was coming

(41:47):
on. So my first question is, and of
course, if I'm crossing any boundaries with my question,
please tell me to stop or snuff it.
Try to be respectful as much as I can.
So the one thing that's intriguing is this, you're very
organizational. So I definitely resonated with
that. And did you feel that because

(42:08):
you were focused on organizing these events that you made, are
you purposely not participating in the activities quote, UN
quote so you can maintain that professional boundary of having
to work the event without blurring the lines?
Don't look at me for support, this is all her.

(42:31):
We warned you. I have thought about this quite
a lot. No, I don't think that is the
reason. There is occasionally like I am
kind of always keeping an eye onsort of making sure that there
are there's somebody at the the front entrance greeting people
and sort of filtering who's coming in and that sort of thing
and acting as a standby in case they need to go bathroom or they

(42:53):
don't show up or whatever. But beyond that, I feel like
certainly and certainly walking in as a leader into the
community, I was never just a pop, unfortunately.
And that itself kind of creates A boundary between myself and a

(43:14):
lot of the other people. I find that if I don't, and I do
make an effort to proactively engage as many people as I can
because I find if I don't, I don't get that in return.
So I don't get people coming up to me and introducing themselves
to me or trying to connect with me, and I don't take that
personally. I I very well.

(43:35):
I, I think that I, I, I am told,I've been told many times that
and for the record, I'm 5 foot 6, right?
I haven't seen you stand up yet.Yeah, I'm very short.
I'm not not a big, not a vertically large person.
I'm only 5-9. I'm not.
And and but I get told that I'm intimidating.

(43:57):
What? And I do have a resting bitch
face as well, so that doesn't help.
I mean, we're often wearing. Cup hoods and he's built like a
brick shit house too so. It's just that.
It's a little intimidating, a lot of muscles.
That's your resting bitch? Yeah, that's nothing.
That's I see. I don't see a resting bitch.
I you know what I like U tank. We actually, we went to whenever

(44:22):
I especially when I wear my tactical gear, which apparently
it's a thing because the pups frigging love it.
My God, whenever I we literally walked in the parade last year
at New Westminster Parade and I'm walking down in my gear and
one of the newest officers comesup to me afterwards and he's
like, I didn't see you with the hood on.
I thought you were a police officer.

(44:46):
Is that legal? Yeah, I know, right.
And and they were so sweet. And I'm like, I'm like, oh
really? It's like, yeah, you were like
you have a very, very distinctive walk.
You literally, he's like, you walk like a police officer.
You have an authoritative walk. Like your stance even at even
during the BC crisis, like when I do my crisis, I do my
presentations. Even Lana has told me you have a

(45:10):
very authoritative just like it was like just the way you stand
or the way you approach it. It's just it's not intentional.
I don't like you you. I think I told that newest cop
that you were canine unit. Yeah, so So what in the event,
cuz I don't even ever discuss itat the dog house.
What we do to get to your next question.

(45:32):
You know, we quarantine off the area because of a private space.
And I think with the scurry of what we do is we have greeters,
people that stand at the door tomake sure that people who are
not it's our little event that be.
It's not about being exclusive, it's about creating a safe
space, Yeah, for pops in the back, just just so they can feel
comfortable. They can be themselves.
They don't have to worry about being harassed, sexually or

(45:53):
otherwise. It's a very intimate gathering,
basically, that keeps it separate from the general
Twinkie gaze of the bar. Twinkie, have you ever been in
Pump Check? Yeah.
It's a. Leather bar.
I was just gonna say I don't know what bar he's talking
about. But on the Fridays, there's

(46:15):
quite a few Twinkie gays taking over the dance floor.
Is that so? Wow.
They don't ever leave the dance floor.
I mean, you go off the dance floor and walk around the bar
and that's where you run into the leather and the rubber and
the gentlemen. I guess that's.
Nothing compared to to numbers across the street.
Thank you so it. Sounds like that's where the

(46:36):
actual kids. Yes.
So it sounds like you're very busy.
That's why I love that. Running the back end of it, do
you have somebody who could actually just take over so that
you can actually participate andhave fun like have a break well.
I mean, I don't. No, I don't.
I don't think I'm that busy. I'm running the back end.
I think like I tried very and I've I've, I've lectured Spider
on this. When he's running, it is because

(46:57):
he wants to both run it and be doing other things like running
like being a greeter. And I'm like, don't, don't do
that. And I'm.
Let other people do that becausea, you need to be there to
support and you need to be thereto be back up.
But also you don't want to burn yourself out.
And, and I like and personally like I've had occasions.
OK, I'll give you 2 stories. One was another community

(47:20):
leader. I, I sort of chat, I hadn't
chatted with him in a while and I checked in with him and he's
like, oh, like I, I like, I haven't spoken to you in a while
because I thought you were upsetwith me and like, what, What's
going on? I was like, well, the last time
or if you, I guess if the last time that we saw each other, you
didn't say hi to me. And it was like this lack of
interaction was interpreted as an act of hostility.

(47:44):
Welcome to the community. And I was like, I, it was
totally unintentional, right? I just, but I just didn't, I
either didn't think to talk to them or didn't feel like talking
to that person in that moment or, or just didn't even see
them, right. It certainly wasn't intentional,
but just because of being, I guess, a leader, there's sort of

(48:05):
this expectation, yes. Like everybody interprets
everything you do and don't do, if that makes sense.
They do because again, when we were talking outside about
another person in the community, the look that they gave me, we
went a couple of weeks ago when we were sitting outside, like
one particular individual from the community and I looked over

(48:25):
and he gave me the stink eye. And it's kind of like I'm like,
oh really? Not really a fan.
But again, he might have been. And and my suspicion is that was
like not anything personal that. It's a probably.
That's a mood, probably. More stuff going on his own life
or whatever that that's how I would interpret it personally.
Oh, it doesn't. It didn't but but.
Certainly that's not how other people.
Interpret things that dog house. What dog house?

(48:48):
No, he was talking about a different.
No, it was a different day, Yeah.
Yeah, I know, but I'm just saying I don't usually he's
there. He.
Doesn't dog house? No he doesn't.
Hasn't gone there in a while. He doesn't go to the dog house.
He he used to oh, really hasn't.Been in a long time anyway you
were saying. Sorry, the other thing, the
other little story was just I soin the run up to XL, the dance
party, I was chatting with this pup on pup space that was in

(49:12):
Vancouver, but I had never met. And I was like, hey, and he
asked me at one point and he's like, hey, are you going to XL?
I'm like, yeah, yeah, maybe. And I was like, hey, if you if
you come and you see me there, make sure I was like very
deliberately said this that makesure you come up and say hi to
me. Yeah.
And I didn't see him. And I messaged him afterwards

(49:32):
like, hey, did you go? I didn't see you.
And he's like, yeah, I did. And I'm like, oh, but you didn't
see. I was like, oh, but you always
look so busy. And I hear that a lot too.
OK, I would hear that more. And I deliberately was trying
not to be busy, if that makes sense.
During, during, during the actual XL party.
Yeah. Because I wanted to be able to

(49:52):
engage with people. I wanted to be like a a host,
like be present. Absolutely.
And but, but still, even despiteall of that.
Are you a Pisces? No.
OK. Taurus end of, end of.
That's why most of my friends are tourists and I and I vibe

(50:13):
with them. Peter's a Taurus, my other best
friend's a Taurus. OK, Yeah.
I get it now. So does that mean you got but
definitely get these stories of being kind of.
AI understand I mean when we host a party at our place, the
reason why we stopped like we just did pizza now because in
the past I. Used to cook.
I would been cooking, so we would host these big parties

(50:34):
which we loved and I would spendall my time cooking, cleaning
and the rest of everyone's enjoying themselves and I would
be. In the kitchen.
We're busy, yeah. And now we just change it
because I want to enjoy to be inhere and enjoy the moment and be
with everybody. Yeah, so when we have, when we
have the parties at our place now, we just tell people you're
coming, you're gonna if you wantfood, you're pitching in 20

(50:56):
bucks and we're gonna order 30 pizzas.
It's easy and it's in pizza night and you get something for
everybody and we have a spray bottle for Ganymede.
We ever told you that story. I always make a penis cake.
It's like the cat be gone. Well, it's something to be gone.
It's ganemies spray bottle. Be gone in that chair under the

(51:21):
table. We love ganemies.
He's coming back and he's such acute bubby and I literally saw
him yet last week and we told him we have an extra large spray
bottle for you and he just started laughing.
Yeah, and then then he proceededto promise he'll behave himself.
And like he said that last time, after the first time, you were
busted and you still misbehaved. Now, do you have any other

(51:43):
questions for Tank? Because if you do, we have
another episode. Because we're gonna.
We're gonna. It'll be all fair questions, if
that's OK. Just another getting to know
you, yeah. Sure.
Yeah, so we have our second episode.
We're gonna we're gonna finish up in the next couple of
minutes. So we're gonna say do our shout
outs. We're gonna make sure to stay,
