Today I’m discussing a topic that is crucial for anyone building an online business or brand — the importance of trust and credibility. When thinking about building your brand I want you to remember that the key to standing out in the online space is authenticity. I cannot stress enough the importance of showing up as your true self and letting your unique identity shine to really engage with your audience.
Your social media profiles and branding play a significant role in building trust. First impressions matter, so ask yourself: does my online presence make people want to know more about what I have to offer?
Letting your audience get to know your voice and personality is another crucial aspect of building that trust. Going live on Instagram allows your audience to see the behind-the-scenes process and understand that you're a real person, not just a social media facade.
When it comes to content, focus on providing quality information rather than just quantity. For instance, a virtual assistant who only pitches their services without explaining the true transformation that can occur by using their services is missing an opportunity to build trust and establish themselves as an expert in their field.
Social proof and testimonials are powerful tools for building credibility. Showing the results and transformations that others have experienced by working with you can help build trust with potential clients or customers. I always encourage my Instagram audience to engage with me and ask questions and this helps to build a relationship and further establish trust.
Handling negative feedback and mistakes is another important aspect of building trust. Addressing mistakes quickly and apologizing if necessary is key. It's also important to be inclusive and accept people with different beliefs and perspectives.
When it comes to negative comments, delete and block them to keep a positive online space. However, if it's negative feedback about a product or service that you have, it's best to address it head-on.
Building trust and credibility in the digital world doesn’t have to be hard. By being authentic, providing valuable content, and handling feedback appropriately, you can establish a strong online presence that truly resonates with your audience.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
